Just come bk from here on Monday appartments was massive no one there when we arrived so had to ring for the key every were is shut on a Monday had to order a take away could do with a cold drinks machine but we all had a fab hoilday thanks rio hopefully we will be back soon xxx

If it wasn't for the friendliness of the staff, I wouldn't even rate this place... The whole complex needs a major overhaul. It looks really tired. The decor is so depressing. They have invested in new kitchens but nothing else. The balconies can barely fit two people on, which also accommodates the air con unit! The mattresses on the pull out beds should of been thrown away years ago. Dirty and stained and completely lost there comfort levels. No plug in points in the kitchen, so how you are supposed to boil the kettle and make toast? The swimming pool area is tiny...dread to think what it's like during the summer... Whilst staying here there was three burglaries, which made us all feel uneasy. Please take advantage of the safes provided in the properties. Don't expect to use the on site restaurant and snack bar on Monday's..it's closed. All in all, I'm so glad we aren't staying here for our summer holiday. I'd be so disappointed. We checked out a day early to stay in a hotel on the Marina...so glad we did.

A começar a cama nada confortável,limpeza o mínimo,quarto cheio de baratas ,mau cheiro a roupa das camas os cobertores cheiravam mal ,reclamamos do quarto por causa das baratas ,deram .nos outro um pouco melhor (onde encontramos baratas também,mas foram só duas ) ,recepção sempre sem ninguém,pouca segurança,no geral não aconselho mesmo com um preço acessível

Hotel was clean and tidy, it’s in a nice quiet area but the only downsides were.. That there were no hotel security at night, so that meant people being extremely loud right up until 3am with not a word said to them. The local spar shuts at 8pm and the closest shop after 8pm is about a half hour walk away. This is a really nice little place to stay, but the noise of the people early hours was enough to keep us awake and we are a young couple.

Spent a few days here , lovely clean apartment, lovely pool, would most definitely come here again, only one thing not good and that was the one member of staff on reception ( said she was new) couldn't give any information as she didn't have a clue about the apartments or taxis or anything else !!!

Very noisy you can even hear the person above going to the toilet, the noise from the pool and bar/restaurant was like they were in the room with you. The beds were rock hard and you could feel the springs. To many cockroaches.

Lo mejor del alojamiento es la chica de recepción. Trato estupendo y ayuda en todo. El apartamento no tiene aire acondicionado. El precio está bien a 30 min. A pie y 10 en coche de la playa. Las piscinas llenas de hojas y de basura. El bar carisimo un café 2.50

Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist die Strasse runter 5 Minuten Fußweg ... +gutes Restaurant unten (ihr solltet unbedingt die Rippchen probieren ) - kann etwas laut sein am Abend da unten ein Restaurant ist allerdings ab 22 Uhr ist dann Ruhe - kann etwas warm sein aber mit dem Ventialtor hält es sich gut aus...

A relação qualidade/preço não é má, mas a limpeza deixa muito a desejar! O quarto tinha um odor esquisito e tinha formigas... Só não dou 1* pela simpatia das recepcionistas e da qualidade do restaurante

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to know one. When I checked in there was no one at the desk I had to call a number it took them over 20 minutes to arrive . No apology. When I arrive in my apartment no AC. The 3 days I was there they didn't Change the towels or the sheets on the bed . The security in the hotel isn't good they leave there doors open through the night and no 24 hours reception. The staff in the restaurant are RUDE . But the food isn't bad . And were the hotel is located the beach and the town is far . We had to take a taxi . When we checked out. Staff didn't even asked us if we had a pleasant stay . Not a hotel I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Après les commentaires plutôt mauvais sur l hôtel on y allait pas très confiant hors nous sommes très satisfait de notre séjour. Les chambres sont propres et fonctionnelles, la piscine est nettoyé tous les jours, l'hôtel est très bien situé, le restaurant de l'hôtel sert toute la journée et possède une carte snack avec des prix ne dépassant pas les 10€. En gros rapport qualité prix imbattable nous y retournerons sans problème.

Edificio años 80, bastante decadente...no está del todo mal si pillas una oferta tipo 65€ noche por un estudio. Más no merece la pena pagar...

Nos quedamos la noche del miércoles, reservamos el mismo día, el precio muy bien a 38€, 1 noche, 2 personas. Sorprendia para bien, una habitacion grande con terracita y cocina pequeña. Disfrutamos de la piscina que está abierta hasta las 8pm, muy cerca hay un super. Hay un bar en la misma piscina así que recomendable y si es por ese precio mucho mejor.

Very nice staff, lovely place and apartments very clean and nice, but let down was no English speaking TV channels to watch in the room and its on a slight hill to go up and down to nearest shop and walking to beach and marina.hotel itself is very good.

Nice friendly hotel with nice staff nice pool and grounds beautiful restaurant on the grounds and good service and cheap ,the hotel basic and could do with being decorated in areas but all in all clean and everything you need for self catering and worth the price a bit of a walk to the Mariana but mostly flat streets and there is another restaurant at the bottom of the street witch dose amazing food and cocktails aswel as a spar supermarket i went for my honeymoon and plan to go back next year

Just got home after staying here for a week, enjoyed our stay, clean room and friendly staff, only one plug socket in the kitchen though for all the devices so was given a dodgy extension lead. Was quiet until an all male party showed up using foul language around the family pool area.

Didn't stay at the apartments but we did eat several times in the restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent food and local wines. We'll worth several visits. 5 stars ✨

Nice place, nice hôtel. Only problem was that there are not enough places around the pool and people reserve it even if they don't come before 4pm. So you can't use the pool.

Ya es la cuarta vez que nos alojamos en estos apartamentos. Están muy bien equipados y la limpieza es correcta. Últimamente las cocinas han sido renovadas y el a/a es nuevo también.

We arrived out of reception hours but were given a number to call. The response was immediate and service excellent. Rooms are spacious but basic. Pool and surrounding area a little small for the size of hotel. The restaurant and bar area was excellent, great food and drink well priced. Location 20 minute walk from the marina, 5 euros in a taxi. Pinhal golf course 2 minute walk. Would recommend and would not hesitate to stay again.

It's little expensive as compared to other hostels. But if you have a car and intended to spend time away from trouble causing teenagers , this is the place to be

À FUIR. Je n'avais pas vu les avis sur Google avant de venir. Dommage. APPARTEMENT : Vieillissant. La baignoire est piquée de rouille. La cuvette du toilette ne tient pas. L'armoire est cassée et n'a même pas d'étagère pour ranger les affaires. La télé cathodique !! La frigo est vieux comme le micro-ondes. La vaisselle est pour 2, point barre. Lits jumeaux, la literie est un peu raide LIEU Pas trop mal situé à 3 km du centre ville, ça se fait à pied mais ça descend (et il faut remonter). En voiture parking gratuit au mc do. Attention, sur place la police ne verbalise que les étrangers. PISCINE Dangereuse et mal entretenue. Les dalles ne sont plus scellées. Elle est ouverte aux clients de l'hôtel et aux personnes qui viennent au bar. Il n'y a pas assez de transat et cela génère des actions pour le moins inciviques. Certains réservent leur place dès 8h (en posant des serviettes dessus) , pour être sûr d'en avoir un à l'ouverture de 10h, voire plus tard à la sieste. Désespérant. CALME: CERTAINEMENT PAS. Le soir, Impossible de dormir car il y a un restaurant bar avec terrasse qui donne sur les appartements. Les clients y restent même après la fermeture. Une plaie. La nuit, c'est le chat (non castré) qui miaule dans le hall après son reflet. Le matin, pas de grasse matinee possible tellement c'est bruyant et mal insonorisé. L'entretien de la piscine à 7h40 avec la souffleuse de feuilles ARGH Je ne recommande pas cet établissement qui a oublié que ce sont les vacanciers qui donnent un emploi aux personnes de l'établissement. Et que ces mêmes vacanciers/touristes évaluent systématiquement les endroits qu'ils visitent... Et que souvent ils cherchent un peu de calme. À FUIR.

À se demander si les avis positifs sont vraiment objectifs. Nous avons pris cette location avec booking parce qu'il avait de bons avis. Bref, des appartements vieillissants avec des armoires aux portes et poignées cassées. une climatisation qui fuite de partout. Des couloirs de carrelages: du coup chaque valise qui roule est comme un train. Une horreur. On vit avec ses voisins de gauche et de droite ainsi que du dessus et du dessous tellement l'insonorisation est mauvaise. Le frigo ne fonctionne pas ou très mal. Bref, pas un bon plan. La piscine est petite et dangereuse. Les dalles sont mobiles et se soulèvent (attention les pieds). Sans oublier les incivilités. Les gens posent les serviettes sur les Transat à l'ouverture de la piscine mais n'y vont que l'aprem. C'est comme ça qu'on réserve sa place. 15 Transat pour 60 chambres.. Et on prend le pouf qui pourrait servir au voisin comme table, Ben oui, c'est mieux. Attention, le bar est ouvert à tout le monde et du coup, la piscine aussi. Ce bar restaurant est une horreur. La musique et les gens qui occupent la terrasse même après la fermeture... Bref, bruyant très bruyant et pas un lieu de vacances reposant. D'autant que les ouvriers œuvrent sur la piscine et les espaces verts avec une souffleuse dès 7h40. Merci beaucoup. Je crois que beaucoup oublient que ce sont les clients qui font tourner un hôtel et qu'à force, ce Rio Appartement connaîtra sans doute le même sort que son voisin d'en face. Fermé, pour cause de pas de fréquentation Le personnel est en revanche au top! Heureusement. Booking trompe les clients en ne posant que des questions sans intérêt (Accueil, propreté et localisation... Mais rien sur l'insonorisation ni sur les environs et les équipements... De quoi prendre sans avoir tout en main et le regretter amèrement. À fuir absolument! Non recommandable.

Péssimo casa de banho a cheirar constantemente a esgoto o wifi não funciona a cozinha sem cortinas e o sol a bater nela todo o dia barulho constante no restaurante por baixo sem com musica alto parecoa que estava num festival de kizonba Ou numa rave nos ultimos 10 anos no Algarve foi a pior estadia que tive e não foi barata espero que melhorem muito mau mesmo

Um local central, em que para chegar á praia tem de haver meio de transporte. Pena estar mal cuidado no local perto da piscina. Falta relva, as lages do pavimento levantadas, a iluminação está danificada no terreno, a vedação tem vários buracos por onde passam pessoas, tendo em conta que dá acesso para uma estrada movimentada. Não tem manutenção de limpeza na mesma zona, como ficou, está no dia seguinte. Não existe apoio ao cliente no período da tarde/noite. O relvado existente nas traseiras é bastante agradável mas longe da piscina. Os apartamentos são limpos assim como os utensílios. O pessoal educado e prestável. Tudo está por responsabilidade, bom senso e educação de quem cá está.

Un bon séjour, parfait même pour le prix si nous n'avions pas était aussi déçu par la piscine. Les abords sont trop petits on se marche dessus, le peu de transat dispo oblige à venir tôt pour avoir la chance d'en profiter. (Surtout quand des gens peu scrupuleux laisse leur serviette dessus). Le sol est dans un état de chantier ca veut dire que les briques dépassent du sol et plusieurs fois les gens se tapent dedans et se font mal... Un piscine peu agréable sous influence. Pour le wifi gratuit c'est seulement dans le hall d'entrée donc on voit à tout heure des gens dans le hall sur le téléphone. Pour avoir le wifi dans le chambre, l'acceuil prête un routeur sous caution de 60e. Enfin petit bémol pour la cuisine qui manque d'ustensibles (eplucheur, passoire etc) Les points vraiment bon : une clim réglable dans chaque pièce, un service ménage régulier et efficace, l'emplacement de l'hôtel, un acceuil à l'écoute (anglais par contre). Voilà un bon hôtel pour son prix mais n'y venait pas pour la piscine dans les grosse s saison.

Arrived late at night no staff to let us in. Taxi driver had to sort keys to our room. Room was nothing like photos balcony opens up onto the main road. So not somewhere to sit and enjoy view! Had no air conditioning for over half day, then no hot water for day and half then no working toilet for over a day. Reported these faults 1st thing on the morning. Workers turned up as we were trying to get ready for night out. We had to take all our shower stuff for four of us to another room to get clean. Complained about room as soon as stuff turned up our 1st morning. Refused to change our room as full yet we've watched people coming and going all week. Wanted to come home since 1st night. Witch is heartbreaking as our 1st family holiday abroad with kids. Also mine and wife's 1st holiday abroad in 11 years. Wouldn't recommend to anyone very disappointed family

Para empezar la recepción solo está abierta a determinadas horas del día. Cosa que no entendimos, tampoco entendimos que limpiaran las sábanas y toallas cada 3 días, porque eran apartamentos... Nos dieron habitación como en un sótano con un ascensor de miedo, todo muy antiguo. En la cama si se puede llamar “cama” había mini arañas dentro, eran muy incómodas con muelles. Esperamos la hora de apertura de recepción para decirles que las camas eran muy incómodas y nos dijeron que todas eran igual. Los portugueses no entienden mucho de hoteles... esa fue nuestra percepción que la próxima vez preferimos pagar un poco más y tener mejor calidad.

You get what you pay for. I'm on a 60% off trip so shouldn't grumble really. Specious apartment, beds are comfy nice kitchen furniture has seen better days. Easyer to get about in a car as bus service not very often. Lovely marina and beach bout 30 mines walk away. Most places not open for season yet but its nice to wonder around.

nice hotel just no good for people with mobility problems,s or without a car . buses don't turn up and the nearest proper shopping centre in loule which costs €35 each way .so avoid if you can't walk far

Tamaño de cama es de 2 metros, algo muy bueno. Pero los muebles y aspecto de los apartamentos son muy viejos. La cocina está bien equipada. No cuenta con calefacción ni aire acondicionado. Dan ripa de cama y toallas. La piscina tiene buena pinta aunque no la utilizamos. Un poco alejado del centro.

For the money what we paid for it is all ok. In november we spend good time in here. Hotel is based in nice place. when you have a car is good to go to falesia beach (10 min drive) or to lagos (is less than one hour drive) . Worth to go both of them. This is a must see. We visit restaurant in a hotel as we seen some good reviews about it but we ordered two pizzas and is lots of stuff inside so is priceworthy however you do not have that spark in it as cheese was burned on the top and thin crust was raw on the bottom. For this same price you can eat by the ocean or in albufeira old town with nice views and much better atmosphere around. Have a happy holiday!

Apartments spacious, very clean, staff lovely, room servicing excellent, receptionist's lovely and very helpful. Rio restaurant brilliant food class. It is a quiet area approx 10 mins walk from the marina, troublesome and noisy guests are not tolerated. Would suite age groups 50+ or those looking for a quieter place away from the maddening crowd.

Apparemment qui comment accuser le poids des années. Mal insonorisé. Se qui nous a permis de profiter de nos voisins de jour comme de nuit. Fuite d eau. Grand manque de civisme de la pars des clients, bruit intempestifs a tt heure de la nuit . Malgré ca le personnel est volontaire et sympathique

Sure, is affordable but with few bucks more could be wonderful. No AC, no wi-fi and only 4 Portuguese channels on TV, most of parking spaces are taken by a Rent-A-Car company. The pool is nice, the staff very friendly. Really nice restaurant/bar by the pool.

Necesita reforma de baños y cambiar las camas que están muy viejas al igual que el mobiliario hay pocos enchufes y están rotos.

Não tem ar condicionado, tem poucas tomadas electricas:1 na cozinha, 2 na sala e 1 no WC avariada... A Receção estava quase sempre fechada e o a atendimento é insuficiente. A comida do restaurante é bem confeccionado e a qualidade/ preço é equilibrado, mas o atendimento é péssimo. Não gostei, nem recomendo.

Been here now for 6 days and leave tomorrow and if I'm honest, although we've tried to get out and explore, we've spent most if our time here. The room is massive with a kitchen, bathroom and king size bed. There's a telly and a fan (needed) and also a balcony witch saves the day when your to tired to go anywhere, just sit on the balcony and enjoy a beer. Reception was closed when we arrived quite late but there was a guy still working here who dashed up to get the key to reception to book us in. Very lovely girl on the desk who works every day. Guests are in a friendly mood thanks to the chaps at the restaurant/bar, . We were greeted on the first night by one of the girls staying here who said how lovely it was. Great food at restaurant, just try there piri piri chicken with home made piri sauce and there stone steak, bloody lovely and you can enjoy by the pool. Only one thing is that the Wi-Fi is only usable in reception or bar but you don't need internet to pass the time here. Great stay, thank you Rio apartments.

Could give 4 only ... no Internet.... no tv stations...have been coming for a few years now ...I do love the place and love locality .... tiles around pool dangerous ... especially around children's area... very uneven ...will satyr have no real problems with rooms .. just a little update.... Maybe air-conditioning. Staff fantastic..rooms cleaned to perfection..... Reception staff amazing .... without Maria our stay could not have gone so smoothly... extremely helpful with Date changes which were longer than expected.... hope handled with perfection .... extremely pleasant... really made our stay And as for Rio Restaurant... which is a separate entity... it is fab to have them there.... Luis and Isabel so welcoming ... great sevice

It's apartments not a hotel so don't expect hotel services. A bit away from everything but can walk to beach in 20 or 30 minutes. Or take bus or taxi. Good restaurant on site and shop nearby.

Had an apartment consisting of a twin bedroom and a double-sofa bed in the lounge. Kitchen was well equipped - two electric hobs, kettle, microwave, fridge, cutlery, plates, pans, etc.. The pool was big enough and includes a kids pool. Wifi available in reception area and the bar/restaurant is broadband speed. The bar is open from 10am until late and offers a large range of freshly cooked meals and snacks at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is wonderful. Highly recommend the stone cooked steak, but our party also loved the spaghetti bolognese and the piri piri chicken. Try the Super Bok lager - lovely draught. We will definitely return. UPDATE returned 3rd October for another week. This time had studio apartment which still had a small balcony and full kitchen. Great service again from reception. WiFi appears to have a stronger signal around the pool now. Very basic but very cheap and in our opinion a perfect base for our holiday. And of course the fantastic restaurant below is another reason to stay.

Not bad for the money but with the August heat no A/C is torture! The sun set faced our room in the evening so by the time we got home after a night out the apartment was like a furnace! You will feel every minute of the 25 minute walk to the center so taxi is a must! Would probably cough up the extra dosh and stay near the marina on a return to Vilamoura.
