Amazing Greek probably one of the best I've eaten in I have no issue with highly recommending this restaurant. Food was fresh well cooked authentic and the service was second to none nothing was too much trouble.

Hosts were very friendly. Restaurant is cosy. Had the South African menu on Sunday and a flood of memories accompanied each spoonful. The cherry on the top was definitely the malva pudding with custard.

Yes, this is the same O Grego that was in Loulé and has now moved to Almancil.
The same excellent food and cuisine served by Philipos and his son.
Be sure to book a table though to avoid disappointment. ☺️

What a quant space and great food. Asked for cegan/gluten free and got an amazing spread. Necessary to reserve as he was showing people away. Highly recommended

Great and kind people. Good food. Nice for families or couples. I liked the experience, its a nice concept! Make a reservation before you go or you probably wont have a table and ask for the pavlova desert.

Já conhecia o restaurante quando era em Loulé e gosto muito! Porém o meu comentário serve para dizer que a morada do Restaurante está errada, fica em Almancil e não em Vale de Lobo.

We've been going here for years when Philippos was in Almançil, then in Loulé and now back in Almançil. It gets better every time we eat there!

Fabulous courtyard setting for dinner. Surrounded by fairy lights gave the evening a wonderful intimacy. Outstanding mezze and excellent house wine. Banoffi and coffee to finish. I will definitely be going back

Um cantinho bastante acolhedor onde (sem menu) vamos provando várias entradas e pratos gregos , onde na maior parte deles com grande qualidade. Uma excelente oportunidade para se provar uma grande variedade de petiscos gregos ... no entanto pagam se bem. O atendimento é bastante harmonioso e simpático. Devido ao elevado preço duvido que repita.

Amazing discovery in Almancil. Food was delicious and very different than in other places . Definitely gonna come back . Also staff was very nice and friendly , they took good care of our dinner . Very cozy place , highly recommend to try it.

We were were thrilled with this Greek gem in Amancil. The atmosphere is incredible and family style servings were amazing. The service very attentive. Very friendly. There is outside dining, but may need a reservation for that. Unique. Loved the food, house red wine is superior. The four of us were so impressed. Oopah.

Wow -- what a find! The food is incredible!
Rather than ordering from a menu, it's a reasonable fixed price for each person and they just keep bringing you food. We counted 14 separate dishes, which were the best Greek food I've ever had. The lamb (the final course) was amazing, and there was too much to finish. Don't miss O Grego!

Great food and service. Proper Greek food and generous portions. Lots of atmosphere. Can I also say that the wine selection is really good and they do it by the glass? Charming young chap serving who worked incredibly hard and speaks perfect English with humour.

Run by a real Greek chef, the food served here will blow you away. Don't bother looking at the menu, just ask the chef to serve his various dishes and enjoy. For 25 euros you will eat so well that you will think for a moment that you are actually in Greece. Amazing!

You could easily drive past the Pig & Whistle every day for a fortnight and not notice it, but if you did, you would be missing out. An unassuming white building with a small door on the side, which hides a fabulous restaurant inside.
The first thing you receive is a warm welcome from the front of house, while the kitche produces the mouthwatering dishes on the menu. The menu is not extensive, but it is always a difficult choice to narrow down to just one !
