Fantastic stay here, great location 10 minute walk to the beach, Staff very friendly, very clean good size rooms, pool area very clean with two good size pools and bar area , great breakfast every morning, but the coffee was terrible.

Das Hotel ist schön, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt, vom Balkon aus hat man eine Aussicht auf das Meer. Das Personal ist freundlich, gut gelaunt und hilfsbereit. Der Strand ist zu Fuß knapp 10 bis 15 Minuten entfernt.

Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und hat gute Zimmer. Die Matratzen in den Betten sind etwas durchgelegen. Das Bad ist soweit okay. Das Frühstück ist leider sehr schlecht. Es gab Dosenobst, weiche wabbelige Brötchen, zwei Sorten Marmelade und je eine Käse- und Wurstsorte. Leider war auch kein Müsli vorhanden, sondern Schokopops und andere gezuckerte Cerealien. Täglich dasselbe, in 14 Tagen keine Abwechslung. Wenn man jedoch das englische Frühstück mag, dann gibt es genügend Auswahl.
Ein Abendessen haben wir im Hotel nicht gemacht, da uns das Frühstück abgeschreckt hat.
Ganz toll sind die beiden großen Swimmingpools. Das Personal ist freundlich und der Service teilweise okay. Das Gym ist benutzbar mit einigen Geräten, jedoch für Profis weniger geeignet.
Parkplätze am Hotel kostenfrei vorhanden.

Hotellet ska vara ett fyra skärningt hotel och det kanske var det på 70talet. Personalen var otrevlig och frukosten var under all kritik. Om man ska bo på det här hotellet så är det ett måste att ha bil, men det kanske det är om man ska åka till denna del av Portugal ändå. 10 minuter med bil till lagos och 10 minuter promenad till stranden. Hotellet är rent och det är det ända plus som jag kan ge dem.

Schönes, sehr familiäres, ruhiges Hotel in Randlage von Luz. Gute Verkehrsanbindung, Strand und Zentrum sind auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Mit geschätzten 60 Zimmern hat es eine optimale Größe. Sehr guter Service und freundliche Beratung bei allen Unternehmungen und Fragen. Restaurant und Bar sind zu empfehlen.

Gutes Essen, Schönes sauberes Hotel, Nettes Personal. Luz ist ein ruhiger schöner Ort zum Verweilen. Meerwasser klar aber sehr kalt, es hatte gerade mal 19 Grad Wassertemperatur. Gegend sehr windig, die Mitnahme eines Sweaters oder Ähnlichem am Abend empfehlenswert.

Das Frühstück ist im Preis inbegriffen. Es ist gut könnte aber abwechslungsreicher sein. Wir bekamen sogar am Abreisetag morgens ein Früshstück vor 7h.

Hotel was amazing, staff were all nice, place was clean, even if a bit dated.
Only problem was an Irish family that arrived at 10 pm. They decided the kids can go in the outside pool, screaming and shouting, waking people up, while I'm guessing they went out, to get away from the kids probably..
But we left the next morning so we didn't have to deal with them.
Hotel was perfect though.
It is on the top of a hill, still walking distance to most places though.
We hired a car so drove if we were going out of town.

Hotels looks very nice from the outside. It's in a good location, walkable to the centre. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Hotel has two beautiful outdoor pools. We had a nice ocean view room with a balcony. Bathroom was dated and could use some refreshing. No anti-slip mat for bath tub provided. We could not use the safe in the room as the lock was missing. There were no plugs near the bed, so it would be challenging for guests with CPAP machines. Breakfast was OK. You had to ask for hot water for tea. Hot breakfast items were in warming containers beside the open door, but no lids provided to keep food warm or protected.

Rooms where super clean, beautiful view of the ocean and two pools from our rooms, multi-lingual staff, affordable (at least in the winter/early spring 2020), we have everything we need (mini fridge, large complementary water bottle, GREAT breakfast, toiletries, etc, etc) The only thing I think could be better is the WIFI in the rooms but the they have WIFI zones throughout the hotel. Would stay here again!

Poor t,v for uk visitors, rooms not been serviced until pm and was told it could be up to 5.30pm not good for having a siesta. Staff very friendly ,breakfast good and happy to cook fresh eggs.

Beautiful view from our room. The breakfast was awesome and the staff very kind. Our only issue was we arrived to Lagos by bus and we had to wait 20 minutes for a taxi. There is no shuttle from the hotel. The beds were very hard and after our 4 night stay we were ready to move on to a more comfortable bed. Other than the uncomfortable sleep the area is amazing. We agreed we would love to return. The little beach close by is way less crowded than the main ones in Lagos.

Location of the hotel was probably the best part, with it being affordable within walking distance to the beach (9 minutes to be exact, and at a fast pace). The hotel itself is older and definitely is full of an older population; so if you’re looking for a younger crowd then I would not recommend staying here.
Staff is lovely for the most part, especially at the pool bar. You have free access to tennis, a sauna downstairs, but the gym isn’t something I’d recommend if you’re wanting to workout.
Continental breakfast is exactly what you’d expect. Staff again running that is lovely.

Das Hotel kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist sehr sauber und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht riesig, aber reicht aus um gut in den Tag zu starten. Das Hotelpersonal spricht fließend deutsch und ist sehr zuvorkommend. Der Pool ist groß genug, das Meer ist nur in wenige Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Einziges Manko ist die schlechte WLAN-Verbindung und das keinerlei Animation oder Abendveranstaltungen stattfinden.

Our room had an amazing view, directly facing the ocean. Nice, clean with comfortable beds. It also had a terrace with lounge chairs and a drying rack that was very useful. Breakfast was included in our stay, and pretty good. Parking is free at the hotel. It's a close walk (10 min) to the beach and some great restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and made great recommendations when asked. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

This is an old hotel without the amenities we would expect at a 4star hotel. The room was decent but the bathroom was terrible. It had a permanent odor that it indicates lack of proper maintenance and cleaning. The breakfast was just passable and the food at the pool bar was tasteless and very expensive. Regarding the staff and service it was worse than everything else. Employees behave in a abrupt manner without any professionalism or guest caring. Location is fine. Not to return or recommend,

Positiv: Saubere Zimmer und Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Negativ: Blick auf den Pool, keine Privatsphäre auf dem Balkon, sehr laute Anlage ( drinnen und draußen ).Frühstück ist eine Frechheit, englisch ausgelegt, dreckige Tischtücher, schlechter Kaffe aus der Warmhaltekanne. Obst aus der Dose; keine Auswahl beim Auschnitt und Käse. Personal gelangweilt und sehr laut! Haben ab dem zweiten Tag das Frühstück selbst organisiert und eingekauft. Umsonst so viel bezahlt.Personal guckt nicht hoch, wenn Gäste das Hotel betreten und sind nicht in der Lage, Salz und Pfeffer für den Gast zu organisieren (Restaurant weigerte sich!!!) Antwort: „Salz und Pfeffer bedeuteten ja nicht 4****“,In meinen Augen ist das Service. Ich frage mich, warum das Hotel 4 Sterne hat. WLAN gibt es auf den Zimmer NICHT, am Pool ist es schlecht..

Habitación limpia y camas muy cómodas. La limpieza muy bien . Personal amable y agradable. Lo que no nos gust9 fue el desayino, poca variedad apenas hay bollería. Mucho viento en la zona y frío por la tarde noche. La ubicación un poco alejada, si quieres moverte por el algarve. Pero en general bien .

This was a great stay. We had been moving really fast on our European trip and this was an oasis—we stayed an extra night. Close to beach, pool area awesome, views of the ocean awesome, great deck, everything was nice and relaxing.

Personnel de la reception pas très sympa (par exemple, demander un couteau pour peler un fruit amène la réponse "on est pas un appart-hotel", le couteau est fourni, mais c'est désagréable. Juste un exemple parmi d'autres)
Petit déjeuner au dessous de la moyenne pour un tel hôtel.
Mais la chambre, la piscine, et le lieu font apprécier le séjour.

We truly enjoyed our time at the Hotel Belavista da Luz. The staff are warm and friendly. The two pools are fantastic. Unfortunately, the pool bar and restaurant on site leave much to be desired in both quality of products and customer service. We recommend walking approximately 7 minutes down the hill and trying other local options. You will likely pay less but enjoy your meal (and perhaps with a better view). Additionally, its super easy catch the yellow #4 bus to Lagos, the bus stop is right across the street from the hotel. Overall, we would stay here again...but would pack/prepare other breakfast options.

Lovely hotel, quiet, clean and plenty of space in the rooms. Location was great for myself but some may find it farther from the beach than they would like. Not sure how child friendly it would be either but other reviews may shed more light on that. Overall, happy visitor, would stay again.

Minha experiência foi muito ruim. O hotel é bom, acolhedor, boa comida, bom atendimento, mas não tem Internet nos quartos como induz o site, só na recepção e na sala de recreação - o que não é próprio para quem precisa atender um compromisso profissional. Mas não é isto: precisando pegar o avião em Lisboa saí cedo. Como o café abria às 7:30 horas às 7:00 já estava com as malas no carro. Às 7:00 horas e poucos já estava a fazer o checkout e entregando às chaves do apartamento. Fui tomar café às 7:30 horas quando abriu o restaurante e sai do hotel depois das 8:00 horas. Ou seja: depois do checkout fiquei no hotel mais de 45 minutos. Para surpresa minha durante a tarde recebi um e-mail do hotel perguntando se não havia ficado com 2 peças de enfeite da cama e uma almofada. Se não havia colocado por engano em minha mala. Ou seja: me acusaram de ladrão sem direito a defesa. Porque não perguntaram na hora do checkout se fiquei no hotel por mais de 45 minutos após entregar às chaves? Muito desagradável isto. Desagradável não, horrível. Nota: ZERO. Não volto mais lá.

The location is amazing and the hotel atmospheer is lovely. Some staffs are friendly. A resturant staff treated guesses differently during buffet breakfast. Some guesses get a good service and some are not. Some staffs are not professional trained. They seem to be confused between friendly and unpolite talk.

Lo recomiendo. Piscinas bonitas, habitaciones amplias y salón de juegos muy completo. Para familias ideal. Se llega bien, el entorno muy bien y la playa cercana es bonita. Muy recomendado. No le pongo 5 estrellas porque las habitaciones algo antiguas. El precio quizás algo caro por este ultimo motivo.

Spent one night there. Un-godly uncomfortable beds, smoke from other rooms could be smelled on the balcony and in the room if the door was open, and breakfast was horrible. I think the eggs made me sick. I would not recommend nor return.

Ich bekam ein Zimmer im unteren Wohnbereich. Hier hatte ich ständigen Besuch vonAmeisen ähnlichen Insekten - im Schlafzimmer als auch im Bad. Darüber hinaus war das Zimmer sehr hellhörig. In der 1. Nacht hatte ich einen Nachbarn, der schnarchte, so dass ich erst nach 1:00 Uhr einschlafen konnte. In der 2. und 3. Nacht waren junge Leute meine Nachbarn, die erst spät in der Nacht ins Hotel zurückkehrten undsich noch längere Zeit lautstark etwas zu erzählen hatten.Aufgrund der Hellhörigkeit war keine Privatsphäre vorhanden.Das Frühstück entsprach dem üblichen Buffet.

This hotel was absolutely lovely. The hotel staff especially in the bar by the pool where exceptional, so lovely and did anything for you. Lovely pool, hotel was fully booked, yet always had a sunbed, walking distance from the beach 8 mins. The breakfast was great, bar lunch food was really nice, freshly prepared, you could see your food being cooked, different specials every day. What a lovely place to stay. would def go back too.

I'm sitting by the pool as I write this.
Overall the stay has been lovely. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff polite and helpful and the rooms are large and comfortable.
We are staying on a B&B basis so I can't comment on the restaurant as we have eaten out every night so far.
Breakfast is excellent. All you can eat with full English fry up available as well as continental or cereal. Also plenty of fruit, yoghurt etc and as much juice/coffee/tea as you can drink.
The hotel is quiet with not many kids and no loud music late into the night.
A couple of moans (there are always a few)
The WiFi is terrible, it cuts in and out and is frequently off altogether. (Took me 3 attempts to post this!)
Also the drinks at the pool bar are VERY expensive. I Paid 8 euro for an orange juice and a beer, I didn't do it twice! Lol. Also what they call a large beer is less than half a pint. In town its a pint and it's 2.75!
We have been buying litter bottles of beer and juice from the local Spar shop then keeping them in the room fridge (both under 2euros)
Overall I would recommend the Bellavista. It's been a very pleasant stay and really relaxing.
One more quick tip, bring lots of suncream, it costs a fortune here, even in the supermarkets. 15 to 20 euros for a small bottle of factor 30. There are Aldi/Lidel type shops where it may be cheaper but the nearest is a 30 minute bus ride away.

Das Hotel war suoer. Vor allem das Personal ist einzigartig und extrem freundlich. Unbedingt Halbpension buchen. Das Essen wird imer als Menü gerichts und nicht die übliche Buffetform. Immer sehr lecker gewesen.Wichtig ist zu wissen, dass der Strand ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt ist. Auch der Ort an sich ist nicht sonderlich spektulär. Für uns war es genau richtig! Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Lhôtel a un excellent rapport qualité prix. Le décor est un peu vieux, mais lhôtel est très propre et le personnel est accueillant.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The hotel is clean, well run and comfortable. There is a car park with ample space and wifi, though with a weak signal in bedrooms. The air conditioning works very well in the bedrooms. The mattresses are very firm, which I like a lot. The rooms are cleaned pretty well and daily. They each have a balcony with a view on the pool. I was disappointed that there was no safe, however. To be precise, there was one, but without a lock (as good as there not being one).
The sea side is a 5 minute downhill walk away. You can sort of see the sea from the hotel depending where you're standing but it's not an outstanding feature of the place.
Although it is a family place, it is fine for couples and I was only woken up once or twice by loud children - all things considered, that's not bad given how many families are there.
There is a main swimming pool and a smaller one for children next to it as well as a hut serving drinks and snacks, but beware it is not cheap. The main pool is not heated and too cold to really lounge in comfortably even when it is 30 degrees and sunny outside, you have to keep swimming otherwise you'll find you want to return to your deckchair pretty soon.
Breakfast was about ok, but at least it's a buffet you can pig out on the things you do like. I never tried the restaurant in the evening so cannot comment.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we didnt meet one person working the front deak that was hospitable or friendly. Even the guy working the breakfast didnt greet us. A simple good morning would have been nice. The rooms were definitely not soundproof. You could hear people in the hallway and people walking about you so easily. You can even hear peoples conversations in their bedroom. The beds were rock hard. We woke up so stiff every morning. The room decor is definitely dated. The gym has ancient equipment and is dirty! You can see dried up sweat all over the floor and there are no towels or cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment. Coffee was never replaced in the bedroom. We purchased the dinner upfront and it didnt even include a glass of water.

Pour être restée 10 jours dans cet hôtel, je le recommande. Il est situé à 10 minutes de la plage (attention, cest une pente donc le retour est plus difficile !). Le personnel est très bien. Chambre propre, climatisée, avec terrasse, petit frigo, etc. Le petit déjeuner nest pas gargantuesque mais bien tout de même (partie salée en mode english breakfast et partie sucrée avec pain, brioche, fruits, céréales). Noubliez pas de tester lespace forme (sauna et hammam), inclus dans le prix. Attention cependant, le bar de la piscine est relativement cher avec des sandwichs moyens pour 5e et des cocktails assez chers. Voilà ! Profitez bien !

Personnel très accueillant, hôtel très bien tenu (très propre, tout en très bon état) et très belles prestations! Etablissement de petite taille (45 chambres) très bien conçu (en arc de cercle, toutes les chambres donnent sur la piscine et locéan). Cadre idéal pour le repos ou un séjour sportif (salle de sport, sauna, hammam, piscines à dispo et le coin est très joli pour aller courir). La ville est aussi agréable, petite et pas dénaturée par le tout béton

Hotellet låg inte lika nära stranden som det såg ut på bilden. Viss personal var trevlig men viss personal var också rätt otrevlig. Standarden på hotellet var inte så högt, vi bodde i en mörk källarvåning och generellt så var det mörkt i hotellet. Hotellet låg nära en strand men annars var det rätt krångligt at ta sig till lagos centrum eller någon annan strand och taxi var dyrt. Det enda som var över förväntan var pool området och en trevlig liten bar de hade bredvid.

Hôtel très agréable et accueillant avec ses deux piscines et son bar extérieur.Attention cependant à la chambre 101 au-dessus du restaurant et sous une terrasse avec sans doute la cheminée de la cuisine et un bruit de moteur en fin de journée.

Sauberkeit des Zimmers/HotelsEs gab hier absolut nichts zu bemängeln.ServicequalitätMit dem Service hatten wir bis auf das Frühstück keinen nennenswerten Kontakt (was keine Kritik ist). Das Frühstück selbst ist nicht zu empfehlen. Vor allem Kaffee Trinker sollten sich recht bald eine gute morgentliche Alternative einplanen. Die Qualität der angeboteten Getränke rangiert im Bereich - günstiges Leitungswasser + günstiges Pulver = noch günstigeres Getränk mit Orangengeschmack. (Pfui)HotelausstattungAlles in allem sehr gut und für den gebotenen Preis auch absolut ausreichend. Hier ist alles etwas ruhiger und das hat schon einen sehr positiven Charme. Uns hat das Hotel wirklich sehr gut gefallen und wir würden es auch wieder besuchen (allerdings wo anders Frühstücken :-) ).Lage des HotelsSehr schön gelegen und mit einem kleinen Fußmarsch kommt man innerhalb von 5 Minuten an die kleine Bucht im Ort. Sehr ruhig. Es ist keine Party Hochburg!

L' hotel è facilment raggiungibile in auto. Bella struttura con bella piscina. Colazione discreta. Camere belle e pulite ma un po rumorose. Cassaforte nelle stanze, ma per poterla utilizzare bisogna pagare 5 euro al giorno ( e ciò non è previsto nella descrizione dell'hotel)

Viihdyimme hotellissa erittäin hyvin. Henkilökunta todella mukavaa ja avuliasta, pienen perhehotellin tunnelma.
