Uma Casa à Beira Sol is the type of place to disconnect and decompress. The grounds are beautiful and super relaxing. The studio I stayed in flowed easily into the outdoor space which further enhanced the relaxing nature of the place. Only issue was the WIFI repeater in my area of the property but that was diagnosed and addressed. The location of the property puts you closer to the beaches with the grottoes but outside of town - still walkable to town but a bit of a tradeoff.

Wonderful garden paradies - we had three relaxing day after 10 days roundtrip. Except for the last night! Cockroaches in the room, we were chasing them for the whole night. Due to the garden and the "open" door structure they managed to come in. They were lingering on the walls on our terrace. I highly recommend proper and strict pest control- also in the room. Then they would die the moment they enter the room. Besides this incident we enjoyed our stay, especially the garden and pool. Breakfast was served outside (room9) Eggs, fruit, yogurt, cheese and sausage, veggies, jam and bread selection. Service was attentive and helpful, they serve coffee and drinks in the garden. Room was big enough, we had a fridge, plates and cutlery provided. Safety box. Bathroom was spacious with open shower. Small supermarket is close by as well some beaches. One day we drove to paria do mos, here you can rent lounges and sunshades.

The pool and garden were beautiful! The location was great, close to amazing beaches and cliffs. The studio kitchen was well equipped.

A very relaxing, casual and homey place to call home while in Lagos. The opposite of a resort or large hotel. Friendly staff and walking distance from beach and hiking paths which means quiet during the evening. A 5 minute taxi ride away from the center.

Un lugar con encanto, con un trato excelente, una ubicación muy buena para visitar Lagos, tanto el centro como los lugares mas pintorescos de su costa, se puede incluso ir paseando....y lo mejor de todo...descansar...un oasis dentro del Lagos...!!!

Eine wirklich wunderschöne blühende Oase. Man tritt durch eine kleine Pforte ein und ist umgeben von Palmen, Hibiskus, sowie verschiedensten Arten von blühenden Gewächsen und einer satten Vegetation, die am Haus hochrankt. Zur rechten Seite, etwas tiefer gelegen, ist ein Pool. Grün und weiß sind hier die vorherrschenden Farben. Um das Haupthaus sind flache Wohnbungalows arrangiert, jeder mit einem Außenbereich für sich. Malerisch, charmant, traumhaft, pittoresk... all die Travel Guide Keywords lassen sich hier anwenden, aber beschreiben nur ungenügend die organische Qualität, die diesem Ort inne wohnt. Es ist ein einziger großer mediterraner Garten, der für mich einfach perfekt ist, und mich vom Zwang befreit, unbedingt Sightseeing zu betreiben. Die Zimner sind luftig und kühl. Basics wie Tresor, Klimanalage, TV sind vorhanden. Bei den Matratzen könnte mal nachgebessert werden. Das Frühstück gibt es übrigens am eigenen separaten Tisch im Freien geliefert. Und dieses Frühstück ist köstlich. Verschiedene Käse, Wurst, Rührei, Gemüse, guter Kaffee, Süßes... es macht einen glücklich. Zwei Katzen gibt es übrigens auch, was die ganze Sache perfekt macht. Zur Umgebung: Der Garten ist ein geschlossenes Areal. Wer auf verlassene Orte steht, eine, nicht fertig gewordene Hotelruine, lädt zum Fotos machen ein. Der Anna Strand ist in der Nähe, ebenso wie Ponta da Piedade, mit den enorm hohen Steilklippen. Zu Fuss ist es nach Lagos rein durchaus ein Stück, ca. 15-20 Minuten.

C'est un magnifique endroit. Les chambres sont très confortables et très belles. Le petit déjeuner est super bon. Les gens qui s'occupent de ce lieu sont extrêmement gentils. Pas très loin du centre, il offre une bulle de tranquillité.

This place is a green and peaceful oasis, so a good escape from the crowded nearby beaches in July. Our room was beautifully arranged and spacy with an astonishing view which was only impaired by some unfinished buildings. The cleaning service was minimalistic and there was a strange odor in our toilet. A bit overpriced overall.

El hotel es muy bonito.Nosotros íbamos con nuestro pequeño y tenía una cama en el salón bastante cómoda,lo único que cuando salía el sol pues no tenía persianas el peque... El sitio es muy bonito,la piscina está bien orientada y está muy buena el agua. El hotel está cerca de las playas más famosas,se puede ir a pie e incluso al centro de Lagos. Las chicas que te atienden son muy agradables. El desayuno bastante caro y no es buffet.

Tolle Unterkunft! Ruhig und dennoch schnell (15 Minuten) zu Fuß in der Stadt (Lagos). Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und traumhaft schön. Der Garten ist riesig, alles sehr grün und still! Die Umgebung ist einfach traumhaft! Strand und Klippen und mit dem Auto der perfekte Punkt für Tagesausflüge. Das Zimmer (Studio) hat alles was man so braucht. Nur keinen Backofen. Ansonsten ist es ein wenig kuschelig :) Absolut empfehlenswert! Die Menschen vor Ort sind sehr freundlich! Alles sehr privat und klein.. Toll

A true gem! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Very quiet and peaceful. Very nicely decorated and clean. You can truly relax here. The staff I found to be the friendliest people I met anywhere in my 7 day tour of Portugal. They truly work hard to make you comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Great location —close to historic center and beaches. Wish I had allowed more time here in my itinerary. Would stay again for sure.

This was a very cute and relaxing place to stay which was located near Lagos. We had a car which is needed to see all the great attractions near here. Restaurants and the beach are within walking distance.

Wonderful small hotel where no two rooms are alone. Functions more like a BnB. Beautiful garden and pool. Clean and convenient. I would absolutely stay here again.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are all unique, well designed and very comfortable. Beds a good size. TV is very small it may as well not be there, also a shame towels don’t get changed every day. The hotel is beautifully kept with such lovely flowers and gardens everywhere. The pool area is also very beautiful. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the local beach (before you’ve taken the many steps to reach the beach) but must be one of the closest hotels in the area to the beaches. It’s 20 minutes from the old town area but for us that was a plus as it meant more peace and quiet and space from the travellers / young people holidays you find in that area. Would look forward to staying again and would definitely recommend to anyone in Lagos.

Prachtige kamer, heerlijk bed, goede douche. Alles netjes en schoon. De kamers zijn wel gehorig vooral als je een kamer hebt onder de ijzeren trap. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Mooie tuin. Het ontbijt kost 15 euro per persoon als je ter plekke besteld. Best duur, maar je krijgt voldoende en als toetje heerlijk gebak. Het zwembad was koud, (augustus) maar dat kwam door de redelijk koude zomer, dus daar kunnen ze niets aan doen. Parkeren is wel een dingetje. Wij hebben genoten van deze fijne plek.

The property layout offered privacy for each unit and made it feel like we were totally secluded in a garden. We were able to walk everywhere (but Uber was always available if we felt lazy!) which was great. Everyone on the staff was so kind and made our stay even more lovely.

What a unique experience. Staying here feels like living in a villa in the countryside, because that’s exactly what it is. The landscaping is something of legend and the rooms are ever so cozy. This place is the most relaxing and authentic of accommodations we’ve found during our trek through Portugal.

Wir sind absolut begeistert von dieser wundervollen Unterkunft! Gebucht hatten wir ein Appartment, welches sehr gut ausgestattet war. Insbesondere die sehr gepflegte Anlage, mit einem ganz besonderem Charme, hat einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. Fußläufig erreicht man die schönsten Strände Lagos sowie den historischen Ortskern. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Such lovely surroundings & each unit uniquely decorated. The place is set up to evoke dreamy relaxation & romance. Id love to live there. Close walk to beach & 20 minute walk to town - we loved it, even in the rain. The staff was very sweet when we had a rental car mishap, helping us to figure everything out.

Es ist kein klassisches Hotel sondern eine Mischung zwischen Ferienwohnungen und Hotel. 14 Wohneinheiten in einem verwinkelten Gebäude in einem sehr schön angelegtem Grundstück / Garten. Wir hatten die Wohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmer im obersten Stockwerk mit herrlichem Blick über die Nachbarhäuser aufs Meer. Die Bauruine die eventuell den Ausblick in der Qualität etwas einschränkt soll offensichtlich zeitnah ausgebaut werden. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das sehr leckere Frühstück, das vor Ort zugebucht werden kann, wurde uns direkt auf unserer Terrasse serviert. Die Sauberkeit war tadellos. Es ist definitiv kein Hotel für Partygänger. Es ist ein Hotel für Touristen die Ruhe suchen und auch etwas für sich sein wollen. Die Umgebung ist angenehm. Der schöne Strand Dona Anna, der Nachbarstrand Boneca und der Leuchtturm bei der sehr sehenswerten Ponta da Piedade sind sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch die Altstadt von Lagos lässt sich zu Fuß in ca. 20 Min. erreichen.

The hotel was a lovely oasis on the edge of the village. But be warned it is not a pretty road or local view nearby. A large two-building complex that apparently went bust is very close. The road to the hotel is very rough. And it is not walking distance to the immediate town center for sightseeing or restaurants. That being said, we loved the accommodations. We were served a pleasant breakfast on a terrace near our room, more food than we could eate.

Wir waren Ende September 2017 für 2Wochen da.Es war ein rundum schöner Urlaub.Freundlichkeit und Service ( Absprachen im Vorfeld wurden berücksichtigt) waren stets gegeben. Da wir tagsüber viel mit unserem Mietauto unterwegs waren, haben wir die Anlage an sich nicht genutzt ( Pool und Liegen).Es machte aber alles einen gepflegten Eindruck.Das Frühstück (war bei uns nicht dabei) konnte man problemlos am Vorabend bis 19Uhr bestellen. Es wird auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert.Das ganze ist qualitativ gut aber auch übersichtlich.Der Preis von 15€ pro Person ist doch etwas üppig.Wir hatten ein Studio und waren auch zufrieden damit.Es sind Kleinigkeiten ( Ausstattung der Küche, fehlende Ablagemöglichkeiten im Badbereich und naja auch der Fernseher) die am Ende bei Befragung einem Einfallen und den Eindruck schmälern.15 Gehminuten entfernt ist man problemlos in der Stadt diese ist klein und fein und immer wieder sehenswert. Wir werden diesen Urlaub in guter Erinnerung behalten.

Uma Casa à Beira Sol when translated into English reads as A House By The Sun. And thats what we experienced during our stay from July 1st-5th, 2017. We booked this hotel on Hotels.com from their India website. And we are so glad we did. At the reception, Tanya was extremely helpful and always smiling making life easier for travellers like us in a new town. From Recommending restaurants marked on a ready city map she made for us, to the excellent breakfast served right outside our room, to the beautifully kept and managed place, to arranging a cab, to making bookings for a boat tour, to obliging us with some repeated requests for some milk for our coffee [ oh yeah.. just add creamers in the beautiful coffee/tea tray kept in all rooms ], to answering way too many questions that I constantly had, as my wife put it, but patiently with a smile, Tanya knows hospitality. And then there was Alexandra who was as great, and helpful and smiling. The rooms are clean. The water is always warm if required. Fresh towels everyday. Perfectly working air conditioners if needed. Zero exterior noise. It is so perfectly located. 10-12 mins walking distance from the beautiful city centre and to three of the most famous beaches in Lagos. Simon the cat was an added bonus. Knew who to go to. So no trouble there. Would say Just Book this Place!! You Wont regret it. For family, romance or solo, this is worth the money!!

Had huge problems with water overflow in shower in room #6. Took a shower and then realized that the floor in the whole room was wet. Their territory is nice and cozy, but the area around is pretty oppressive - a lot of abandoned hotels and houses. 10 mins walk from popular Anna beach (the main advantage), but Lagos center is not easily reachable on foot (25 mins). Breakfast are served at 9:00am earliest, no options for early birds. Not attractive value/money ratio.

Wunderschönes kleines, mit viel Liebe gestaltetes Hotel. Beim nächsten Besuch würde ich ein Zimmer auf der Südseite wählen, unseres war hübsch eingerichtet aber etwas dunkel. Das Haupthaus im EG ist etwas hellhörig durch die Wohnung der Eigentümer im Obergeschoss.

Das Hotel verfügt über sehr schöne und individuell gestaltete Zimmer. Die Einrichtung ist dabei im südländischen Landhausstil gehalten. Der Garten ist eine wahre grüne Oase, der auch zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Highlight ist das Frühstück, das man morgens auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert bekommt!

Haben zwei schöne Wochen in einem tollen App., in dem alles , was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub sich wünscht, vorhanden ist. Das Frühstück wird - wenn es denn gewünscht wird - zu einer vom Gast bestimmten Uhrzeit auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert. Hübsch angerichtet, auch auf die Optik wird Wert gelegt. Selbst eine tägliche Reinigung, bei App. nicht selbstverständlich, ist mit inbegriffen, ebenso wie ein 2-3 tägiger Handtuchwechsel. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und kommunikativ und spricht ausnahmslos fließend englisch. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und waren von der schon fast freundschaftlichen Atmosphäre sehr angetan.

Unsere 10 Tage im Mai waren für uns dort sehr erholsam und die Lage sowie die Zimmer sehr gut.Das Personal sehr vorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das leckere Frühstück konnten wir auf unseren kleinen Terrasse geniessen!Wir fühlten uns wie im Paradies.

Wir waren für eine Woche im April in diesem familiären kleinen Hotel. Das Personal und die Gastfamilie waren stehts hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück, welches jeden morgen frisch auf der Terrasse vor dem Zimmer serviert wurde war ein Traum. Man hatte den Eindruck völlig allein zu sein, obwohl alles ausgebucht war. Das Zimmer war klein aber mit offen gestaltetem Flur und Bad und wirkt so nicht beengt. Der Garten war paradiesisch mit seinen vielen Pflanzen und Palmen sowie dem Pool. Ich kann jedem der keinen Hotelklotz sucht diese Anlage nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Vi blev vänligt bemötta av mycket serviceminded personal och välkomnades med en flaska vin och fina vinglas på rummet. Mycket trevligt.

Diejenigen die im Urlaub nach einer ursprünglichen, natürlichen und ungezwungenen Atmosphäre suchen, sollten A Beira-Sol besonders ins Auge fassen.Überall bieten sich Möglichkeiten auf Hängematten,Bänken,Liegen oder am Pool etc. ungestört zu relaxen. Aussichtspunkt Ponta de Piedade kann man zu Fuß in 5 Min. erreichen. Abseits vom großen Trubel, wer es jedoch mag ist in 10-15 Min. im Zentrum. Ausflüge nach Westen zu traumhaften Atlantik-Stränden(30-40 Min.) ,Gebirge oder sogar Tagesausflüge zur Sandalgarve z.B. Tavira ( ca.80-90Min.) sind von Largos problemlos mit dem Auto zu erreichen.A Beira Sol mit seinen schattigen Rückzugsgebieten, seiner zentralen und ruhigen Lage, die durch ein freundliches und herzliches Klima des Personals stark unterstützt ist, waren für mich und meine Tochter die beste von 4 weiteren Unterkünften die wir von Lissabon bis Tavira kennen -und lieben gelernt haben.

Tolle Lage am Stadtrand und dennoch alles schnell zu erreichen !Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, eine tolleGartenanlage mit Pool ! Das Appartment könnte ein wenig besserausgestattet sein !
