It has been an exceptional experience spending a weekend in the Arrifana Destination Hostel. The staff made me and my friends feel very welcome from the beginning and are eager to spent their time getting to know their guests. The rooms are super clean and the facility has a lot to offer from pool to barbecue area. I hope it has not been my last visit.

Para una estancia corta, muy bien. Le falta algo de mantenimiento.
El desayuno no es gran cosa, pero el precio es acorde.
Camas en las paredes que se despliegan como literas altas.
Baños estrechos, escaleras adaptadas para sillas.

The place is one of the few offerings we were able to find online in Arrifana. The hostel has decent beds and accommodation but the name is wrong (HI Destination Hostel Arrifana where the HI stands for Hostel International). The first major flow are timed bathroom showers which are a hassle to use. Drainage also doesn't work too well since there's no policy regarding sand inside the premises. The second major disappointment is the kitchen, which is very poor in equipment and on the edge of cleanliness. It's devoid of many utensils which would be considered essential in a modern kitchen especially for safety (pads to take hot stuff). Overall a very average experience and definitely way below the average we've found in Portugal.

Ambiance jeune et détendue, tout proche de l très belle plage d'Arrifana. Les chambres sont propres et lumineuses, bar ouvert toute la journée, jeux et lectures à disposition. Si vous souhaitez être au calme, choisissez une chambre sur l'arrière car les fiesta sont organisées dans l'espace extérieur de l'entrée côte mer et le bruit peut durer un peu tard.

Personnel désagréable, nous avons été très mal accueilli et n'y avons pas séjourné. Clientèle et ambiance plus proche d'un hotel touristique que d'un Hostel de voyageurs.

Son unos chicos encantadores, muy alegres, siempre que te ven por las instalaciones preguntan si va todo bien. Es un sitio para desconectar. A 10 minutos, andando, está la playa.

We are two German engineers traveling through Portugal by van. We went to the hostel just to take a shower. The first days the guy at the bar who was very friendly told us that it's possible by paying 2.5€ (that I think it's reasonable). The third day the manager said it is not longer possible to take a shower there. Maybe he took us for kind of homelesses. Didn't realize we had to wear a suit just to take a shower.

Lieu n'étant pas fait pour être pratiqué en famille à moins d'être surfer.
Très festif (surtout le mercredi soir) et les habitants s'y couchent très tard (3h30/5h30 pour certains).Dans l'ensemble très bruyant.
Sinon chambres convenables, personnel agréable et arrangeant puisqu'on nous a changé de chambre, pour essayer de dormir un peu mieux.
Le tout est à l'image d'une auberge de jeunesse lambda.

What a place....
Localização é incrível, ambiente muito bom e descolado, a vista que o hostel tem do por do sol é única. Limpeza é excelente e todos atentos com a limpeza em relação a COVID. Atendimento fora comum, Sheila foi muito simpática e atenciosa.

Chambre propre et confortable avec un grand casier avec serrure et clé.
Petit déjeuner très correct.
Plage à 10min à pied.
La piscine c'est un bonus sympa.
Les moins, un peu cher par rapport aux autres auberges de jeunesse.
Temps d'atteinte pour les douches: 1 douche par étage par genre.

Приехали на сёрфинг на 2 дня. Хостел хороший внизу есть ресторан и бар. Wi fi быстрый, работает без сбоев. Завтрак подаётся в номер правда поздно только в 9:00. Есть комарики, но это не страшно есть фумигатор. Также есть кофе машина в номере с капсульным кофе и пакетиками чая. И бесплатный бар в холодильнике состоящий из 2 кока колы, 2 чая холодного нестия, Сникерса 1 шт., и маленькие бутылочки Воды по 0,25, да и 2 бутылки пива супер бок слышимость в номере ужасная, можно четко разобрать что говорят в соседнем номере.

Maybe the best mini-hotel I’ve been so far. Everything was absolutely perfect. Super friendly staff, amazing atmosphere and the service. Located just 5 minutes away from the beach. They do provide very nice dinner on request and mini bar is included in the price. Highly recommend.

This was such an adorable place to stay! Super friendly staff— very accommodating. Delicious breakfast included each morning left outside your door. We ate ours in the sun by the pool which was lovely. Small, tidy room (we were on the first floor, not sure if rooms with balconies were bigger but it was fine) with plenty of closet space and good reading lamps. Gorgeous bathroom with a huge wonderful shower. Layed back atmosphere and good food in music in the lounge. Oh, and a drying rack outside the window for bathing suits or washing out some laundry. Every detail was well thought out and we loved it. Fantastic value for the price!

Wir waren im Boutique hotel...einfach nur top!!! Minibar gratis, Frühstück ans bett. Whirlpool und aussicht aufs meer. Super nette Mitarbeiter. Sauber und sehr leise. Das meer keine 15 Minuten entfernt. Wir waren begeistert

Igazi funky, hippy szörfös hostel, ahol a világ minden tájáról származó hullámlovasok összegyűlnek, de családok és idősebb turisták is előfordulnak. Kicsi szobák, kicsi fürdőkkel, de úgysem ebben tölti az ember az idejét. Hangulatos bár és tetőterasz is van, de a kávéjuk nekem nem jött be és a reggelinél is előfordulnak fennakadások.

Muy caro para el servicio. La habitación pequeña con muchas literas, los seis que estábamos no nos podíamos movernos a la vez. Además la cocina no está preparada para tanta gente, faltaban utensilios y estaba sucia. Y otra cosa, para un pasillo con tantas habitaciones muy pocos baños y duchas.

O staff é impecável e o ambiente entre os hóspedes é brutal. Foi pena a piscina estar demasiado suja para se conseguir entrar e o pequeno almoço ser mal servido. Tinha muito pouca escolha.

A localização é boa para quem pretende uns dias de descanso, a zona do bar e esplanada está muito bem decorada. Pontos negativos:a recepção é no bar, as mantas e cobertores estavam sujos, assim como as casas de banho... existe apenas 3 duches para tanta cama, a funcionária não é propriamente simpática nem prestavel

Le lieu où est placé c'est un rêve d'une beauté incroyable. Le Hostel à des petites choses à améliorer comme l'hygiène en salle de bain, petits odeurs désagréables. Le linge de lit avec des tâches sûrement que ne sont plus lavables,alors ça demande de jetter et renouveler néanmoins les lits sont assez confortables. Niveau insonorisation c'est brouillant car on entend les gens qui parlent dehors et dans les couloirs même avec les fenêtres fermés. Côté petit déjeuner nous sommes restés satisfaits, avec jus d'orange, café sans plus, pains, beurre, confiture, fromage et jambon cuit de qualité passable et quelques morceaux des fruits pré-coupés. Pour l,accueil sans plus, ils pourraient d'investir plus dans la communication et apprendre plus que l'anglais.

Immerso nella natura con vista sulla baia da un lato e sul mare dall altro. Pulito e buoni servizi. Noi abbiamo prenotato una camera family 4pla vista montagna e dalla grande vetrata abbiamo visto l alba! La grande spiaggia è raggiungibile a piedi con una passeggiata di 15 Min.

É interessante, mas é pena não terem em local nenhum separação de lixos... aqui vidro, cascas e plásticos ainda acabam todos no mesmo saco...e a limpeza de alguns locais, como a zona de pequeno almoço podiam estar mais limpos... o local tem potencialidade, mas deveria ser gerido com mais atenção...

Das Arrifana Boutique Guesthouse liegt direkt neben einem größeren Hostal und die Rezeption ist im Hostal. Der Zugang zum Guesthouse samt Außenpool ( Whirlpool außer Betrieb) ist aber den Gästen vom Arrifana Boutique vorbehalten. Der Check in war eine Katastrophe. Ab 15.00 Uhr sollte Check in sein. 17.00 Uhr reisten wir an. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sagte wir sollen uns hinsetzten und 10 Minuten warten, dann verschwand er. Nach 30 Minuten fragte uns ein anderer Mitarbeiter ob wir den Check in machen möchten. Leider fand er meine Onlinebuchung nicht in seinem System. Als das dann irgendwie geklärt war wolltet er mir das Zimmer zeigen. „Oh welch Überraschung, das Zimmer war nicht fertig!“ Natürlich weil er mich ja nicht im System hatte. Noch eine Stunde später konnten wir dann das Zimmer beziehen. Ansich ein nettes Guesthouse, in guter Lage, mit entspannter Atmosphäre aber nicht sehr gut gepflegt. Wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer mit Gartenblick im Erdgeschoss, es war gut. Es gibt aber sehr viel schönere und größere Zimmer mit eigenem Balkon und teilweise Meerblick. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Tagesdecke auf dem Bett allerdings mit Flecken übersäät. Der Orangensaft beim Frühstück war schlecht. Trotzdem würde ich die Unterkunft aufgrund der Lage, Atmosphäre, Zimmer und Pool weiterempfehlen, mit ein paar Abstrichen halt.

Vriendelijk en schoon hostel. Prachtig gelegen, op loop afstand van het strand. Dakterras, mini zwembad, prima barretje. Koffie uit automaat bij het ontbijt is echt niet te hachelen, en ook was de bevoorrading niet echt snel. 4 sterren voor de netheid, personeel en locatie.

Toffe sfeer en behulpzaam personeel. Er is een klein zwembadje. De kamers zijn zeker ok, er is een chille gemeenschappelijke ruimte en dakterras. Enkel de douches konden iets beter.

L auberge est propre, les chambres bien tenues et l espace bien pensé. C est assez joli. Par contre la cuisine est vraiment sale, le personnel démotivé et on a l impression de déranger. Tous les services sont hors de prix: machine a laver 5euros, petit dejeuner plus que sommaire 5euros, lunchbox ridicule 5euros. Sans compter qu il n y a pas de supermarché et en basse saison les restaurants sont fermés le soir. On a quémandé une paëla surgelée, 8,60 euros...
Quel dommage!

Nice place, nice staff. Heated modern dorm. **Terrible** kitchen for those who want to cook their own food. What little equipment they have is inadequate, run down and barely usable. Fridge not kept clean, smells bad. Only two tables in a dismal eating area. The big room of tables is reserved for the restaurant when it's open, which is not often as far as I can tell, may be just for Pizza Fridays and breakfast? In the lounge they have some food for sale, some or all frozen. At least they heat it up in an oven rather than a microwave. The bathrooms get soaked from the showers. Great view from the noisy lounge. Lots of people hang out in the lounge. Take your pick of what you want...

Das Zimmer 105 versprüht den Charme eines Spitals. Jedoch ist es sehr gross und hat riesige Fenster und einen tollen Ausblick. Und... einen grossen Heizkörper. Ideal im Februar. Beim Frühstk. hapert es mächtig. Viel zu wenig für die vielen hungrigen Mäuler. Grundsätzlich jedoch eine gute Location und nettes Personal.

Fab staff. Cool vibe. Great location. The rooms were very comfortable and well planned out and the shower was powerful and hot. Log burner in the communal lounge/ bar was a welcome feature and sitting in the warmth with a glass of wine in the evening was lovely.
Great recommendation for a local pizza restaurant which was sublime! Able to cook our own food in the communal kitchen as well.
A really excellent few days spent here. Highly recommended.

Publicidade enganosa relativamente aos quartos femininos. Não existem quartos de 4 mas apenas de 6 camas. No entanto o ambiente é muito agradável. Os jardins deviam ser mais cuidados e limpos.

Ambiance cool et sympa. Un accueil chaleureux. C'est une auberge de jeunesse donc pas de luxe mais du pratique: une chambre propre, une salle d'eau fonctionnelle, une cuisine à disposition avec frigo, du calme (en février)... De multiples avantages pour un petit prix. Un bon camp de base pour découvrir la région.

Nice hostel. The staff is a lot of fun. Cool location in a cozy beach town. Some dorm rooms are right next to the entrance so you hear everything in the morning. Could use a better sound system to liven up the common areas.
