This was my favorite hostel in Portugal. Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable about the area and excited to share their knowledge, clean, tasty breakfast, great location. I could go on and on.cant wait to go back.

My favourite hostel in Lagos (i also stayed at olive hostel and top city) . Its pretty, small, personal and not a party hostel. Twice a week they do family style dinners which are a good opportunity to meet other guests.

From the moment I checked in the staff were super friendly and welcoming. That’s my kind of place it’s run like a family home for a chilled out and a great experience. Breakfast is included it’s about a five minute walk from the bus station and just across the bridge from the train station. I thought it was a very central location and close to the beaches.

Una de las mejores estadías fue en este lugar. Hermoso, muy cálido. Atendido por su dueña. Nos trataron de maravilla y las instalaciones son bellísimas. El desayuno muy rico!! Lo súper recomiendo ❤️

호스트가 친절하게 반겨줍니다. (치킨을 먹을 시 큰 개가 한마리 어디선가 안보이다가 나타나서 핥고 발을 올릴 겁니다. 그 순간,,이미,,당신은 강아지의 주인이 된 겁니다,,,)무튼 샤워실, 화장실 매일 청소해 주셔서 깨끗했어요. 방 청소도 매일 해 주시고. 찾아가기도 쉬운데, 문이 총 2개에요. 처음에 버스터미널에서 쭉 가면 해산물 가게 옆에 문이 하나 있잖아요? 아마 거기로 올라가면 캐리어 좀 많이 들고 올라가야 하구요. (전 배낭) 첫번째 문 지나쳐서 좀만 더 가다보면 오른쪽으로 올라가는 계단 같은 길이 나와요. 거기 올라가서 또 오른쪽으로 꺾은 다음 언던 조금 위로 올라가면 길 마지막 부근 오른쪽에 갈색문이 있어요. 거기로 가면 좀더 수월할 거에요.
그리고 호스트도 거기로 왔다갔다 하라고 할 거구요. 조식은 매우 간단한, 느낌?
근처에 마트 있어서 마트에서 장봐와서 해 먹으면 되요 공용주방이라 식기 물로만 살짝 닦고 세척기에 넣으면 되니깐 설겆이 따로 안해도 되더라구요. 벋 23시 이후엔 주방 사용 안되니깐 이 점 유의~

Amazing, magical home away from home. Staff are like family, so friendly and helpful. Amazing family dinners to break the ice and get guests together. Clean, great ambiance and lots of access to fun activities like biking, beaching, surfing, kayaking and much more!
Best of all, for those of you travelling for a while and missing your pup, they’ve got a big, friendly, lazy pupper named Urso. The best dog, besides my own!
Right next to the breath taking beaches. Incredible decor and views of the ocean. Will definitely return ❤️

+Carla welcomed us with a friendly smile and explained all the great amenities nearby on a map which was useful! The hostel is beautifully decorated, centrally located and very reasonably priced. Clean room and bathrooms.
Breakfast is simple and consists of bread, cheese/deli meat, cereals, a bit of fruit, tea, and other hot beverages including coffee from a machine.
-The showers in the bathrooms have semi-frosted doors which minimizes privacy. One of the bathrooms on the main floor has a long lock and the door can be slightly opened when it is being used. Water distribution throughout the hostel is poor. At times there was no water coming out of the shower head while others were showering, other times the amount of water was very little and other times the water temperature went from cold to boiling hot.

Great stay! Great location. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Everything was clean. Loved the rooftop area. I even received a bottle of water and granola bar for my travels. Lovely experience.

The private room was really nice! Very roomy and great bathroom facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Received a complementary bottle of water and chocolate muesli bar upon checkout which was really topped the whole experience off.

Super recomiendo este hostel, tiene muy buena ubicación, está ubicado en el casco histórico de la ciudad, es limpio, lindo, el desayuno es riquísimo y el personal es MUY MUY atento y super amable. Sin dudas volvería!

센트럴버스 스테이션에서 호스텔까지 경로 검색하면 저렇게 여러길이 나옵니다. 무조건 사진에 그려놓은 파란길로 가세요. X표 그려놓은 길로 가면 오르막+오르막... 2단 오르막길..
캐리어 끌고 오르막 죽어라 올라가서, 호스텔 도착하고 짐 놓고 나왔는데 바로 옆길이 평지... 구글지도 주겨버리고 싶었어요 진짜로ㅠ

Absolute favourite hostel I’ve ever stayed at!!! Such a beautiful location & views from the dining room, balcony and even most rooms are just stunning. Included breakfast & a full kitchen to cook anything else you want. Whole place is really clean and well looked after. I couldn’t fault it. The ladies running the place are both so delightful and are more than happy to help with directions, tours and even booking things on your behalf. And feels like a family home, so relaxed and such a good vibe. Also loved the dog.
I will absolutely be back, I wish I stayed longer.

Probably my favorite hostel so far in Portugal, with a very chill vibe. The two women who run the place do a great job keeping things clean and well organised. The kitchen and beds are very good, and the indoor and outdoor common areas are first rate. The included proper brekkie had meat, cheese, fruit, brewed coffee, bread and cereals on offer. TIP: The bath next to Reception is the nicest in the hostel.

Beautiful, well-located family hostel with exceptionally nice and attentive staff. They can arrange all kinds of excursions and tours for you. Hostel is close to town centre, beaches, supermarket and train station.
Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cookware and spices.
Fairly comfortable beds and huge lockers. Breakfast is fresh bread, cold cuts, cheese, sliced veggies, cakes, coffee, milk, cereal. The dining/living area and terrace are very nice.
The building being old gives it a lot of charm, however with this comes the small bathrooms and creaky doors and floorboards. Bring earplugs!

Loved everything about the Tag Hostel - from the heritage property, to the wonderful & friendly staff to the location. The location, in particular, is easily accessible by a short walk from both the bus and rail stations. Also walkable from the hostel are two supermarkets, laundromats, the starting point for kayak trips and (if you're ok with walking 2-3 kms) most of the beautiful beaches in the Lagos area.
The dorms were spotless and the views from the French windows overlooking the street were lovely. I especially enjoyed the group dinners where everyone had to chip in - it was a great way to meet new people and strike up interesting conversations. The complimentary continental breakfast was nothing to write home about, but not a complete disaster either (the coffee, tho, was great!).
Only gripe, if any, were the tiny, tiny bathrooms...but then again, that seems to be a thing in a lot of European hotels/ hostels.
If I ever go back to Lagos, here is where I'd choose to stay!

We stayed here 10 nights and would happily stay again!
Very clean, breakfast was included (basic but it was fine to get you started for the day), the location was perfect. Really quirky hostel with banging views from dining and outdoor social area.
All the staff are really friendly and extremely helpful with tips and places to go. Just tell them your plans and they're most than happy to help!
We didn't use the kitchen much as we crammed so much in we never found time to cook our own food.

Stayed one night, arrived late, left early, returned at lunchtime asking for a quick shower after hitting the beach but was refused entry even after offering to pay for the shower. It was not "all cool man" - not exactly friendly boutique service.

Beautiful hostel where the atmosphere is warm and welcoming but you can also easily withdraw yourself from it in the quiet, beautiful dormitories. The only downside for me were the small shower cubicles without locks.

I dont know why this hostel rate is too high
There was the worst terrible man staff ive mat in europe
When i took my luggage to room, i aksed him help me, but he just ignored and stared at me.
Dirty and old bed sheet as well
Im not gonna recommend this hostel.
One more thing my friend wanted to know which restaurant is good but he just told i dont know depends on you :( what the.....

La terrasse très agréable et le personnel aussi! Malheureusement notre chambre était collée à la cuisine et les murs en papiers.. donc du bruit. Serviettes de toilettes non fournis et petit dej’ de mauvaise qualité. Mais ambiance au Top!!!!

there are some rules to stay in hostel. because of that we can stay more comfort than other hostel. and other guests and staff were nice ! and I loved the terrace with great view

Me dejé guiar por las opiniones de la gente. Craso error. Estuve a punto de cancelar antes de ir, porque no lo tenía muy claro viendo la web. No cogen el teléfono. Efectivamente pasó lo sospechado; De pena. Nadie sabía dónde estaba la calle.Si viajas en moto, ni se te ocurra ir aquí. Las calles muy empinadas de adoquines ideales para perder el control de la moto.Debo dar gracias de que no estaba mojado el suelo. No puedes parar ni para dejar el equipaje porque no hay espacio. Gracias a un policía municipal que dijo que podía dejar la moto frente a la comisaría. El desayuno muy escaso y tienes que fregarlo. 64€ De vergüenza. La gente amable, pero no volvería ni aunque me lo regalaran. Todo muy "hippy guay" para quien lo quiera. No lo recomiendo

Angenehme Atmosphäre, Top Lage und sehr nettes Personal! Zweimal die Woche gibts nen gemeinsames Dinner wo alle Gäste etwas Kochen und zum Buffet dazustellen - eine sehr gute und interessante Idee!

bonjour , a tous , Je suis allé au taghostel en juin 2015 , et j'y est trouvé un accueil formidable , beaucoup de gentillesse et de professionnalisme de la part de Filipa et Antonio son mari, ainsi que le personnel .
le petit déjeuner est copieux et soigné, les chambres sont très agréables et la propreté est de rigueur !
C'est pour cela que j'y retourne cette année du 5 juin au 19 juin . je conseille cette adresse a toutes personnes qui voyage ...............!

Very decent hostel worth recommending. The breakfast was quite okay but staff was really friendly. Nice patio with space to mix with other travellers. Men's bathroom a bit tiny. Good location, close to medium grocery store with selection of wine. Petrol station also close. Old town square within few minutes of walk.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! Stayed in a four bed dorm. The rooms are small but cosy with interesting decor - shelves were made with old suitcases! The owner, Phillipa is really lovely and kind. It was a lively hostel, great way to meet new people! It's in a great location that's central with cafes and a supermarket very close by.

Super cooles Hostel mit tollen Menschen, gutem Frühstück und einer coolen Dachterrasse. Wir haben hier viele coole Leute kennengelernt und ne tolle Zeit verbraucht. Lage optimal!

It actually could be a good hostel if it wasn't for the manager.
Don't get me wrong, the property is good, has a nice rooftop terrace and good dorms. However everything is strictly regulated, killing any upcome of atmosphere.
