very very nice, lovely management and staff English speaking, as well as a few other languages. comes with a large swimming pool, plenty of seating, very well kept grounds. Plenty of parking should you need it. can't fault it in anyway.

Another very enjoyable stay We have used this as our base on our visits to the Western Algarve and just cannot find any bad faults with our stay.

Really nice room with terrace, the pool with couches is really a nice place to hang out in the evening. Breakfast is also spectacular!

We thought we had booked in Lagos, but found that we were actually in a smaller town further West, but linked to Lagos, in Praia du Luz. We actually preferred being in a smaller place and yet it had good facilities both in the hotel and also in the local town. Great restaurants and much variety. Street musicians along the promenade and a local church in the centre of the town with an English-speaking local and visiting congregation, part of the Algarve Anglican Chaplaincy. Great centre from which to explore the region. The one thing we would have valued would have been a bar open in the Hotel in the evenings sometimes to get to know the other guests. Only time to meet them was at Breakfast.

I can't rave about this hotel enough! STAY HERE! The ladies taking care of this hotel were the highlight, and the breakfast! Delicious homemade food including homemade cakes! This place feels like home. Location was perfect for us as well! Walking distance to Luz and short driving distance to Lagos and the beaches.

Fitness center was closed and we learned the B&B is adults only- my neice stayed elsewhere but was not allowed to visit us. That said, the place was quiet and private and we had the huge pool to ourselves most of the time. Great breakfast, very clean, close to beaches but not easily walkable.

Very friendly and welcoming place to stay. Used it as a base so didn’t use ask the facilities, including the pool but it looked inviting. Rooms clean and spacious. Good choice of food for breakfast. Would stay here again.

La habitación era amplia y limpia pero la ducha muy pequeña. Ni una persona entra con comodidad. El personal por momentos resulta algo intimidante, sobre todo en el desayuno, donde se controla cada movimiento de los presentes.

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit direktem Zugang zum Pool (von der Terasse aus). Das Team war auch sehr nett und hat nicht nur jeden Tag ein leckeres Frühstücks-Buffet gezaubert, sondern uns auch sonst bei allen Fragen weitergeholfen und uns mit Tipps versorgt. Alles bestens!

Nice clean hotel. The owner isn’t the most friendly...but no need for small talk. She is no help about things to do or even help you with the bus... Hotel is located on top of the hill so be ready for some serious walks.

Also wir waren voll zufrieden. Unser Zimmer war wirklich sehr sehr sauber. Ich war selten in Hotels die so sauber gehalten werden. Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt. Die ganze Anlage wird sehr sauber und gepflegt gehalten. Klimagerät und großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach im Zimmer. Das riesige Bett und die Kopfpolster in unserem Zimmer waren traumhaft, ich hab selten so gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag ausreichend und gut. Parkplätze sind genug vorhanden. Ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg bis zum Strand in LUZ ( plaia de luz). Preis/Leistung ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort ein Zimmer buchen.

Unquestionably the best hotel we have ever stayed. Lucillia and Maria da Luz were both extremely attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Infact, all the staff were very accommodating and our experience at this hotel surpassed the service level and cleanliness received from some of the 5 stars Hotel we have stayed. The owner is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was decent. The pool was clean. And they did provide us with a towel for pool and beach. We had an issue with the internet. We had no internet connection in our room. We could not log into the internet we would get in our room. Even they couldn't not log into it themselves, they suggested we sit in the lobby and use the internet. Also if you are looking for safe box in your room, don't expect getting one. We had a safe box in the room however it had no lock on it !!!

Seis dias no "hotel" Aurora Sol e é esta a nossa opinião: - Muitas escadas (impróprio para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida), não havendo nenhuma referência à existência das mesmas. - Presença de cães e gatos na sala do pequeno almoço (quando é referido na descrição que são proibidos animais de estimação). - A "senhora" que vai vigiando o que cada pessoa come, faz festas ao cão e de seguida mexe na loiça e talheres... Depois de ter preenchido o questionário da Booking a respeito dos dias que passamos no Aurora Sol, a "senhora" que está à frente do "hotel" telefonou insultando-nos, dizendo que somos insuportáveis e que não punhamos lá mais os pés. Sem ouvir a nossa resposta, designou-se a não atender mais o telefone. Para além do telefonema a "senhora" continuou a maçar-nos enviando um SMS absurdo. Temos que salvaguardar as funcionárias que foram inexcedíveis e de extrema simpatia ao contrário desta "senhora" que demonstra uma grande falta de profissionalismo e uma má educação incrível. Pode ficar descansada que jamais iríamos repetir a semana aí passada ou aconselhar aos nossos amigos.

Nuestra experiencia ha sido positiva. Lugar pequeño, tranquilo y limpio. El personal amable y agradable. La piscina bastante grande. Casi siempre vacia, pero nosotros sí la usamos. La temperatura en esta zona es magnifica; por las noches había que taparse con una sabana para dormir. El desayuno bufé es basico: Fruta variada, embutidos variados, quesos variados, cereales, tortilla de patatas, algo parecido a una ensaladilla rusa (está buena), tomate, bizcochos y dulces variados (están ricos), y alguna cosilla más.

Wir haben dieses Hotel zufällig gefunden weil wir unsere FeWo wegen eines Problems verlassen mussten. Sehr schöne und saubere Zimmer, hier wird täglich geputzt. Schöner Pool an dem wir immer eine Liege bekommen haben. Die Gastgeberin (privat geführtes Hotel) war sehr nett. Absolut hervorzuheben ist das Frühstücksbüffet! Alles da was man so braucht und dazu noch leckere Kleinigkeiten die von der Gastgeberin selbst zubereitet wurden. Wir waren begeistert. Das einzig negative: schlechtes WLAN und zu wenig Steckdosen im Zimmer.

Absolutely a breath of fresh air. The place is clean, gets lots of natural light and the pool area is very relaxing. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and a lot of effort goes into it. My only request is that the coffee is improved as it is rather weak. An espresso or galoã option would be great. The receptionist from South Africa was so kind to us and just a great person to talk to. Thank you Aurora Sol!

Elegí este lugar para alojarme junto con mi mujer debido al gran número de comentarios positivos que tenía pero mi sorpresa en el mismo ha sido de lo más desagradable. Su precio es entre un 12 y un 15% más caro que otros hoteles de tres estrellas, pero el gran número de reseñas positivas nos hizo decantarnos por él. Por comenzar con algo positivo sobre este sitio, si es que lo tiene, podemos decir que la casa en sí y sus instalaciones, piscina, parking...no están mal (sin ser ninguna maravilla), y que todo está bastante limpio, pero es lo único poco malo que te vas a encontrar. De primeras la habitación que nos ofrecieron era vieja, más bien pequeña, con un plato de ducha en el que casi ni se entraba, la grifería averiada y se caía continuamente la cebolla de la ducha por lo que tenías que usar siempre una mano para sujetarla, sin apenas enchufes en la habitación, la cama incómoda, con un colchón antiguo de muelles y con un gran dolor de espalda asegurado cada mañana. Una minúscula televisión en la que solo se ven 4 canales en portugués. El desayuno que tan buenos comentarios tiene, es un buffet de lo más pobre y simple, prácticamente cualquier hotel de 3 estrellas para arriba tiene un buffet mucho mejor que el que aquí te ofrecen, y la calidad de los alimentos de lo más normal. Las mesas son pequeñas y ni siquiera hay un plato por persona para poderte echar los alimentos del buffet, hay un plato únicamente por mesa que hay que compartir...increíble!!! En nuestro primer desayuno nos sentamos juntos ya que no nos gusta estar separados uno enfrente del otro y la dueña, una sargento que está continuamente vigilando con cara de perro todos los alimentos que coges, nos obligó a separarnos y a sentarnos uno frente al otro... no llego a entender en que la molestaba a esa señora que estuviéramos desayunando juntos. A la mañana siguiente nos escondió la sacarina alegando que se le había terminado... nos debió de tomar por tontos ya que el día anterior había una caja por lo menos con 200 o 300 sobres de sacarina y tan solo seríamos unas 20 personas desayunando... sacarina que ya no volvió a sacar ninguno de los días que estuvimos allí que por suerte fueron menos de lo esperado. Esa misma mañana insultó a un extranjero simplemente por coger la taza de la mesa de al lado para servirse el café...al ser extranjero no la entendió pero a nosotros ya nos pareció una gran falta de respeto. Pero lo peor de todo ocurrió a la mañana siguiente cuándo insulto a mi mujer, la dijo que era poco inteligente y la llamó ridícula tan solo por bajar con un pantalón vaquero corto a desayunar... Lo hizo en portugués, pero por desgracia para ella, el portugués y el castellano se parecen mucho y la entendimos perfectamente... y tras una discusión en la que en ningún momento se disculpó ante nosotros por su falta de respeto, más bien todo lo contrario, parecía que se reía a nuestra cara, conseguimos que nos devolviera el dinero del resto de noches que ya teníamos pagadas y nos marchamos de allí... gracias a Dios. En fin es un sitio que yo no recomendaría ni a mis peores enemigos y al que no volvería ni aunque me lo pidieran de rodillas o me pagarán por ello. No entiendo como una persona así, tan maleducada, antipática y con tanta falta de profesionalidad puede llevar un negocio y estar de cara al público. No le doy menos estrellas porque no se puede pero el sitio es para darle como mínimo cero. Y otra cosa que no puedo entender es como hay comentarios positivos de este lugar y sobre todo de esta persona... imagino que son de gente que nunca ha estado allí, amigos, familiares, etc. Hay que tener mucho cuidado con las cosas que se publican porque luego te puedes llevar sorpresas tan desagradables como esta que te pueden arruinar unas vacaciones.

We have spent the last four years staying at this small hotel. We first discovered it when we were let down by Expedia notifying us two days before our departure that the hotel we had booked the previous April was overbooked. We searched the web and found this one. Need to say we found a gem, and look forward to spending another September there again this year.

Очень приятное место. Сдесь по домашнему уютно. Большие номера, вкусные и разнообразные завтраки, вежлевый персонал. Есть средний по величене басейн, всегда в наличии свободные лежаки. Правда до пляжа идти 10-15 мин.

Me ha parecido agradable, muy tranquilo, muy limpio todo.. la gente muy amable y siempre pendiente. El desayuno muy rico... pero eche de menos el jamón y churros . Mi habitación con aceso a la piscina y muy grande. Volvería a repetir sitio!!

Das Hotel Aurora-Sol ist ein gemütliches familiäres ruhiges Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet, der Zimmerservice sehr gut und die Hotelleitung gibt sich sehr viel Mühe für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut.

Very friendly husband and wife team run this bed and breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Lovely yard and pool. Near the beach and ocean walk. Would stay here again and would recommend.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, toller Poolbereich mit direktem Zugang von den Zimmern aus. Tolle Strände befinden sich in 5 Minuten Entfernung. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in fussläufiger Entfernung. Die malerische Stadt Lagos und weitere Städte sind mit dem Auto schnell angefahren!

We enjoyed a six night stay here in an absolutely beautifully appointed room. Our room stepped out onto the pool area (which was surprisingly big) and the lovely surrounding gardens. The entire place was spotless clean & very well kept & maintained. Breakfast every morning was nothing less than a delight, lots of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, jams and freshly cooked eggs & croissants, all served in a bright & spacious area. Would highly recommend a stay here & if ever in the area again, I wouldnt hesitate. Location to the main town is a ten minute walk or a short drive away.

This was nice place but we had a hard time finding it. The area it was in was nice and good restaurants.

On this latest visit to the Algarve decided to rent in the Luz area. Stayed @ the Aurora-sol for two nights occupying two rooms. This family owned / run hotel provided a fantastic stay, the owners are great hosts and definitely take pride in their business. Would stay here again with no hesitations.

My wife and I just got back from a week in Luz celebrating our honeymoon, and we loved this spot! The ladies who run it are very nice and helpful, and the hotel is a 10 minute walk or 3 min drive outside the city. We thought it was perfect, since it was nice and quiet but everything you needed was nearby.

Kleines Hotel mit persönlicher Note, eigenem Swimmingpool, schönem Garten. Die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet und konfortabel. Das Frühstück ist klein, aber fein.Verkehrsanbindung mit Bushaltestelle fast vor der Haustür. Lagos ist mit dem Bus erreichbar sowie Burgau. Leider fahren die Busse viel zu selten.Der Strand von Luz ist zu Fuß ca. 20 Min. entfernt.

Hotel was very nice but no fridge in room there was a bar but was not open could not get cold drinks by the pool perhaps a vending machine would be a good idea

HOTEL MUY TRANQUILO Y LIMPIO, UN POCO A LAS AFUERAS, PERO CON PARKING PROPIO Y EN UNA ZONA MUY BONITA.

Mycket välskött, trivsamt och rent och välskött. Varma och vänliga människor som har aurora sol. Mycket god frukost!!! Vi är alltigenom nöjda. Även poolen var bra.!!!!!!

Llegué a esta casa/torre a cuatro vientos avalado por los comentarios favorables y por la gran relación calidad/precio, y la verdad que no me ha decepcionado para nada, todo lo contrario. Habitación enorme para mi solo, colchón y almohadas cómodas, una terracita con su mesa y sillas, gran cuarto de baño....fuera, una piscina fantastica con sus tumbonas con sus cómodas colchonetas tanto para estar al sol o bajo la sombra de la pérgola de madera. Desayuno buffet para cargar las pilas por la mañana. Tiene parquing gratis al aire libre dentro de la casa, y esta en una urbanización perteneciente al pueblo de Luz (carretera de Luz a Burgau), a tan solo 1 km del bonito pueblo pesquero y de su estupenda playa. Muy indicado si lo que se busca es descansar por las noches, darse buenos baños en la piscina y moverse visitando el Algarve desde alli. Ah!! y el trato tanto de Lucia, su propietaria, como el de Maria, lo mejor de lo mejor. Ratos de charla agradable con ellas, ya que entienden y hablan el español. Si vuelvo al Algarve sin duda repetiré con ellos!!
