Big portion sizes, good prices. Waiter speaks good English and was friendly. North to south platter has a good arrangement of grilled fish, steak, chicken, pork chop, sausage, shrimp, with beans, rice, and fries for 32 euro. Can easily feed 3 people. Definitely worth going after a long day of walking etc.

Fantastic authentic Portuguese food at reasonable prices. Doesn’t look much from the outside but like a tardis inside and wonderful ambience with great service. Highly recommend.

Wir entdeckten dieses typische portugiesische Restaurant Gott sei Dank zu Beginn unseres 14tägigen Aufenthaltes. Dass hier viele Einheimische anzutreffen sind, hatte uns angelockt ;-)
Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Karte ist zwar überschaubar, aber jedes Gericht war super lecker und üppig.
Frischer Fisch und zartes Fleisch ...so lieben wir portugiesisches Essen!

This place is fantastic. The service was great and the food amazing. The black pork is so tasty that I wanted 2 portions. At the end of the night, 2 meals with 5 soft drinks came up to under €30. So much other stuff on the menu that I wanted to try and such great value. These are the kind of places that us travellers need to keep alive. So much better than the tourist trap food venues.

One of the best restaurants in Lagos. As I live here I use this restaurant regularly, I take all my family, friends and visitors there and never had a meal that wasn't of a high standard. Great staff and a very clean restaurant.

Great local authentic food. The pork chops and secret black pork were perfectly cooked. Also enjoyed the chicken a la onda norte. Very large portions for a great price. We ordered the starter platter and 4 entrees for 5 people and left very happy and full. Will be returning again during our stay in Lagos.

Boa comida e bom atendimento. Espaço apertado e sempre cheio de gente. Para o tipo de restaurante e preços praticados poderia ter um espaço melhor. Mesmo assim é uma das boas opções em Lagos, com um excelente arroz de gambas e bons bifes.

A great family run Restaurant in Lagos, not in the Centre, but easy to find. The choice of food offered is very good, the quantities unbelievable, matched by very very reasonable prices. Have visited this Restaurant many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Great value for money.You get plenty of food and really don't need a starter or the couvert. We do however sneak one of their sweets as a treat however are usually so full we share a portion.The vino Verde is light and refreshing and accompanies all the meals....Vincent the head waiter is an absolute diamond and makes everyone welcome.Always visit when in Lagos. ... This is one we never miss going to.

Poor service and quality of food. Despite having reserved a table it took 5 minutes to got seated. The menue is short and no explanation was given by the personnel to the poorly translated meals. Food has been served within 5 minutes, meaning the food was not freshly made, which we could taste. Also the Sangria was the worst we had in Portugal. All in all we've being not any longer hungry, but we regret it for having spent 60€ there!

Real good food, for an honest price.
I had the "Shrimp Feijoada" and my husband had a grilled fish, can't remember which.
Everything was fresh and delicious.
We also had a bottle of wine that was quite good and for a great price.

Ordered a pork skewer and it wasn't fully cooked, which for pork can be dangerous. When told the waiter, she started explaining how certain people from the north eat the pork this way and that I should've asked for it well done when ordered. Nonsense.

Eine Empfehlung aus dem Reiseführer ausprobiert und begeistert! Sehr netter Empfang durch den deutsch sprechenden Chef. Auf Empfehlung die Fisch -/ Fleischplatte probiert fs sehr zufrieden. Perfekt gegrillt und reichhaltig. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Excellent accueil, très bons plats BEAUCOUP TROP COPIEUX. La serveuse est très agréable et sympathique. Les patrons extras, très souriants. On a aimé se rappeler que nous sommes de Franche Comté tout comme la patronne

Seit 13 Jahren ist das Onda Norte mein Favorit in Sachen Restaurant in Lagos. Ich war noch nie enttäuscht. Die Qualität der ganzen Leckereien ist immer vom Feinsten. Ich liiiiiiebe die Dessert-Vitrine. Hmmm sooo lecker!!!
Ooooh Schreck, jetzt hat sich das Eigentum Verhältnis geändert. Ich mag gar nicht daran denken. Hoffentlich werden wir nicht enttäuscht. Müssen unbedingt hin und testen. Melde mich wieder.
So, da bin ich wieder! Nach dem Wechsel der Eigentümer waren wir mittlerweile schon 5 mal wieder im "Onda Norte". Mal mit 5 Personen, 7 oder 9 Personen. Ja, so groß wie die Angst war dass das Essen nicht mehr so gut sein wird, so groß ist jetzt die Freude dass es richtig toll ist. Der Service ist "SPITZE". Alle geben sich sehr viel Mühe ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt in ihrem Restaurant so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Und das Essen ist echt ein "Gaumenschmaus". Ok, die Preise wurden etwas angehoben, aber die Qualität der Speisen sind auch dem entsprechend. Einfach NUR genial. Ich bin sehr, sehr froh darüber dass der Inhaber Wechsel meines Lieblingsrestaurants der Qualität nicht geschadet hat. Im Gegenteil, ich behaupte sogar dass das Essen einen Tuck besser geworden ist. Obwohl es in der Vergangenheit auch wirklich sehr gut war.
Was ich noch bemerken möchte ist jetzt die Vielfalt der Sprachen. Man kann sich im "Onda Norte" jetzt mit deutsch, polnisch, Französisch, englisch und portugiesisch verständigen. Was ich auch als Vorteil sehe.
Alles in allem ist es nach wie vor ein tolles Restaurant, welches man ohne Bedenken weiter empfehlen kann.

Ein sehr einladendes Restaurant. Der Service ist äußerst Gäste orientiert. Mehrsprachig, dies allein zeigt die Wertschätzung der Gäste. Die Aufmerksamkeit lässt bis nach der Rechnung nicht nach. Die Qualität der Gerichte hervorragend, wie das Angebot. Die heimliche Spezialität: Omas Mandelkuchen mit Vanilleeis und einem Hauch Caramelcreme - ein Traum!

Everything about this place was amazing. Service was exceptional. Our young waitress was willing to answer all of our questions about the different styles of food. Ended up getting the picanha sirloin and it was amazing! My friend's black pork secreto was also great. And not only was the food amazing, the portions were quite generous! Leaving so happy we found this place ❤

Gutes Restaurant mit sehr leckeren und reichhaltigen Fisch- und Fleischgerichten. Auch die rote Sangria ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es empfiehlt sich, zu reservieren, da sonst die Gefahr besteht, keinen Tisch mehr zu bekommen. Der Chef spricht sehr gut deutsch!

O atendimento é rápido.
A funcionária que nos atendeu foi MUITO simpática.
A ementa é variada mas os preços poderiam ser mais baixos.
O espaço da sala não é muito grande mas têm 2 mesas no exterior é uma pequena sala lateral.
Recomendo: Posta Mirandesa com alheira de aves e secretos de porco. A salada de queijo e presunto também é boa e com dose generosa.
Convém marcar mesa para não ficar à porta à espera.

Der praia dona ana ist unserer Meinung nach der schönste Strand in Lagos.
Er ist gut zu erreichen etwas außerhalb von Lagos mit Auto (großer Parkplatz vorhanden) oder auch mit dem Stadtbus.
Zur Saison, bis etwa Ende August, ist es dort aber sehr voll. Sein Auto kann man dann aber auch am Straßenrand etwas bergaufwärts stehen lassen.
Zu Fuß geht es dann eine Holztreppe hinunter zum Strand mit im wesentlichen zwei Buchten.
Das Wasser ist ab September etwas angenehmer von der Temperatur her.
Im August hat es erst um die 18 Grad.
Oben am Parkplatz gibt es auch einen kleinen Händler mit Getränken etc und eine Toilette.
Das Aalenaa Team kann diesen Strandbesuch also mit ruhigem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Das mit Abstand beste Restaurant in Lagos.Nicht vergleichbar mit den Restaurants in der Altstadt,von denen einige auch sehr gut sind,aber nicht so gut wie dieses.Der Fleischteller ist dort super lecker und hat eine überdurchschnittliche Fleischqualität.Der Preis liegt bei ca.13 Euro,was für so eine Qualität zu 100% gut investiertes Geld ist.Die Fische,die dort angeboten werden schmecken auch sehr gut und sind frisch.100% zu empfehlen.Das Personal spricht teilweise sogar sehr gutes Deutsch und kümmert sich sehr gut um die Gäste.Draußen kann man gut sitzen und es ist dort nicht so voll wie in den anderen Restaurants in der Altstadt.Sehr empfehlenswert und eines der besten Restaurants in Lagos

The restaurant has a rustic menu and serves good sized portions of basic dishes. Grilled fish, steak, skewers etc. served with fries, rice, black beans and side order salads. Generally good tasting food brought to your table by attentive waiters. We received an over all good service from the staff.
But, please avoid the dish called “Black Pork Secreto/ Secretos De Porco Preto”. You most likely will receive an over cooked and rubbery piece of inner shoulder meat, that’s been cut sideways. I’m not even sure if those cuts came from an Iberian Pig. If so, the restaurant must have bought meat of really poor quality.
Anyway, what could have been a really nice dinner, became a somewhat disappointing experience to me. The rest of my family ordered other dishes and were quite satisfied with their choices.

Love this restaurant, been coming here for the last 4 years and the new owner, Peter is so lovely and attentive!! The menu is exactly the same with the most amazing dishes. Peter recommended the sea bass and my husband loved it. Thank you Peter and co, we can't wait to come back again!

We have been going to this place for the last 10 years or so and this is the first time that it was less than wonderful. We usually have steaks but this time decided on fish. I hope that was our mistake as the food here is usually exelent.

Onda Notre is a good place to have some fish, but since the Brexit a lot of british people try to travel to all over europe. Lagos and Onda Notre is mostly visited by loud english people. Finally the prices raised.
Before the Brexit the meal was a bit better and cheaper.

It's a very cosy place, and the opposite of a tourist trap. Feels very authentic and you get large portions. I had the golden bream for like €10 and it was lovely.
