Adega do papagaio é um restaurante fantástico para comer, a especialidade é a carne na pedra, super deliciosa! O atendimento impecável, atencioso, sempre disponível para ajudar e explicar! Sem dúvida para repetir!!!!

Great restaurant in a cosy location close to Praia de Luz. It is a typical place where you find local people eating. The meat is first class and for the price there is nothing bad to say about this restaurant. The owner is a really nice and friendly man who has run the restaurant for over 30 years. Highly recommend.

Comida óptima, cozinhada por nós numa pedra. Pessoal simpatíquissimo. Já faz parte da routina das nossas férias de verão, ir todos os anos religiosamente lá jantar com um grupo grande de amigos. O dono do estabelecimento é 5 estrelas, de óptimo trato e cuja satisfação do cliente é muito importante para ele. Também é um verdadeiro artista e com o seu orgão/sintetizador mais uma fadista residente nesta casa, acompanha o nosso jantar com as suas bonitas interpretações às terças e sabados.

Ein Restaurant wo man sein Essen selbst braten muss... auf einem heissen Stein, jeder Tisch bekommt einen. Die Portionen sind ausreichend bis gross, der Preis passabel. Das Personal ist super freundlich, Dienstags und Samstags ist Fado-Abend, also Livemusik Fado. Achtung, es gibt dort keine Parkplätze, man muss ein paar Straßen weiter Parken

Went on a quiet weekday evening. Super food, as others have stated, cooked on a stone at the table. Possibly the best sangria on the Iberian peninsula. All very reasonably priced. Out of the way place, if you didn‘t know it, you wouldn‘t stumble upon it. If this place were in the centre of Luz or Lagos it would be heaving every night.

Been visiting this lovely hidden gem for many years. Food is fresh and plentiful. The host is friendly and helpful. Really family friendly and our kids now 18 and 11 ask to go every time we are here as they enjoy cooking their food on the slate. Anxiety provoking when kids were younger keeping them away from the slate but still worth visiting. Great value.

Nice little restaurant. The stone grill is nice, but the pumpkin soup was amazing! This is a typical family restaurant. We are coming back in the near future!

Excellent cuisine. That sort of tradition that resembles a lot in everything since the moment you walk in! Exemplary service and very polite and friendly people.

Ottima qualità del cibo, 7 tipologie di carne differenti. Personale molto cordiale e il ristorante è al quanto accogliente e intimo. Il prezzo inoltre molto modesto. Recensione molto positiva!

Nice food, cooked on a hot stone, somewhat limited choice, good price, efficient staff aside from one waitress who forgot my sprite twice during one meal. Somewhat in sausage content on meal, but otherwise good. Tasty deserts but very limited choice.
Large portions too, unlike many restaurants.
The WiFi is some of the best I’ve seen this side of the English Channel, but only when seated near the bar, rather than the other room with the Fado performer.
The only flaw is the earbleedingly loud Fado music every Saturday and Tuesday, which is almost unbearable within it headphones, even on the other side of the restaurant.

The menu is great for 13€. Lots of food: meat, rice, fries, salad and sauces. The manager is really friendly and attentive. It was really worth the price, specially if you're hungry.

Excellent cuts of meat that you cook yourself on a (very) hot stone. An experience! Good value food and wine. The owner, Jose, is a lovely chap. We had a great time.

We went on a Saturday night to listen to the Fado singer, a young woman who was absolutely brilliant. It is a perfect 'taster' as an introduction. The Fadista explained the songs in English which helped our guests who'd never experience fado and did not speak Portuguese.
The staff were welcoming and service good.
Cooking meat on the stone was certainly different and we had great fun. We had the basic menu Popular @ €13.00 and ordered the wine by the bottle rather than the house wine which was not that great (if I am honest) The quality of the meat was excellent as was chips, rice and salad accompaniment.
I am relieved we never had the starter as we struggled to eat the main course.
Overall a good evening and something a little different.

Restaurant de qualité médiocre, fado le samedi soir, le patron au clavier et une chanteuse âgée sans grand chose à voir avec les affiches publicitaires.
A faire si vous n'avez plus rien d'autre à tenter ou que tout est fermé.
