Cooler Single-Trail mit dem Enduro-Motorrad rauf auf den Berg. Oben leider alles sehr nebelig, deshalb für uns keine schöne Aussicht.
Jede Menge Antennen, deshalb sehr guter Datenempfang und Telefonie ;-)
Sonst alles voller Steine und flacher Vegetation, nichts wirklich aufregendes.

Mit 902 Meter die höchste Erhebung der Algarve - gehört zu Serra de Monchique mit einer wunderschönen Panoramasicht auf die gegenüberliegenden Hügel und in die Ferne bis an den Atlantik

Relativamente perto da cidade de Portimão está o ponto mais alto do Algarve, Foia, com uma paisagem fantástica, floresta e mar. Local ideal para fotografia. Vale muito a pena a sua visita.

Amazing place, you can see the whole Algarve. Also many parking spots (which is not always the case in Portugal) Easy road to drive. It's everything what you expect. Just a nice view and quiet peace.

Fóia...parodiando Napoleão...Do seu alto milhões de anos a contemplam. Um sítio incrível visualmente. Em dia claro é sem névoa é algo de não entender. Vir ao Algarve e não ir ao Alto da Fóia...Você não visitou o Algarve. Mais que recomendado.

Es lohnt sich den Berg (ca. 900m) als Ausflugsziel anzusteuern. Wir sind aus Richtung Portimao gekommen und haben eine der größeren Straßen hinauf gewählt. Passt auch für Wohnmobile. Zurück haben wir die kleinere Straße gewählt. Dabei haben wir nochmal wunderschöne Landschaften gesehen. Auf dem Berg selbst gibt es ein Cafe und etwas abseits einen tollen Foodtruck. Dieser ist eine echte Empfehlung für einen Snack oder einen Drink. Der Ausblick ist einfach toll...

Une magnifique vue de l'Algarve à couper le souffle sur près de 180 degrés, Portimao, Lagos et Alvor comme on a très peu de chance de les voir d'ailleurs. La vue quasiment jusqu'au Cap St Vincent et Sagres.
Tout en haut, vous trouverez un restaurant, une boutique d'artisanat (attention, la carte bleue n'est pas acceptée faute de réseau). De superbes objets de l'artisanat de Monchique, ville située au bas de cette côte.

Scary drive to get there, but the views from the top are breathtaking. The highest point in the Algarve, you can see south to Portimão and west to Aljezur.

Randonnée rude mais végétation très intéressante (forêt d'eucalyptus) et changeante au fil de la montée.
Arrivée au sommet le panorama est à couper le souffle.

Den Weg hoch zu fahren ist interessanter als oben der Ausblick selbst. Ausblick hängt eben vom Wetter ab oben. Würde empfehlen nur bei passend klarem Blick eine Tour dort hin zu fahren.

Apenas a 30 minutos da cidade de Portimão podemos desfrutar de uma magnifica vista sobre o Algarve para Sul e do Alentejo para norte. Estamos no pico da Foia, o ponto mais alto do Algarve.
O trajeto até à Fóia é muito belo, com uma paisagem de floresta que contrasta com a paisagem marítima.
Uma belíssima surpresa!!

According to other people it isnt that nice there but when i went there i was totally blown away. Really nice view and if you hike a litttle on the sourounding mountains you will see beautiful landscapes :)

This is really an amazing view. You can see both the west and south coast and get a great view over the whole area. We were there in august and the temperature was really nice and not cold so no need to dress up during summer.

The views are stunning, and definitely worth a visit. Being so high it's quite windy, so be sure to take a jumper.

Prachtige bergweg naar Fóia, via Monchique. Onderweg rijd je langs de Kurkbomen plantages. Eenmaal boven heb je rondom vergezichten tot aan Zee toe. Streekmuseum, restaurant en mooie wandelpaden. Een bezoek meer dan waard.
