We stumbled upon this place whilst wandering the streets looking for a late breakfast / brunch option. And what a find it proved to be, We had probably missed the crowds which was good for us. They have a great selection of breakfast options and some nice teas and coffees. The food was all good, from the poached egg & avocado on toast to the pancakes everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they ate. The decor is really nicely done and the service was exceptional and very friendly. Possibly not the cheapest option but worth every cent.

What a fantastic relaxing location for all day brunch - so many places offer this kind of experience nowadays but Dear Breakfast is the best brunch café I've tried in any city. I came twice during my short visit to Lisbon it was so good. The staff were very warm and friendly, and they just gave the impression they really enjoyed working there. It's not hard to see why since the space is beautiful, clean and light, and the food was spot on. I also really enjoyed the chill music they play - whoever makes the playlist has top notch taste. Coffee was good too, though the food is the real highlight.

Super expensive for Lisbon standards and the wait is ridiculous. However, the place was packed with influencers and one look at the photos makes you realize why that is.
The food looks amazing and is insta-ready. It doesn't just look good, it's pretty tasty as well. However, the combo of eggs and maple syrup is a bit weird and proved to be too much for my wife. The interior looks very modern and minimalistic, which we enjoyed very much.

Sehr freundliche Kellner in diesem Frühstückslokal. Hatten den Avocadotoast und die Eier Benedict. Beide Gerichte waren unglaublich lecker. Beim toast war noch ein rote Bete hummus dabei der unendlich genial geschmeckt hat.
Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Ambiente sehr gemütlich. Am nachbartisch hat eine Familie die Pfannkuchen gegessen, portion sah sehr riesig und appetitlich aus. Würde das Lokal sofort weiterempfehlen.
Vor allem wegen der sehr freundlichen Bedienung die mir echt das Gefühl gegeben hat willkommen zu sein. Danke

The food and the drinks was great but took a very long time to come to the table. We sat there for 30 min without even tea or juice, 2 other customers left because the order took so long. We had to go down to the server area to ask for the food. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
Edit: the waiter apologized for the wait and they comped the food which was appreciated and even though I was on a tight time schedule.

Wohl DAS Pancake-Café in Lissabon!✨ Auch die Croissants und Sandwiches/Baguettes sind echt gut. Die Pastel de Nata fand ich nicht so lecker und auch von dem “Haus-Menü” wurde mir abgeraten. Aber ansonsten habe ich nichts zu beklagen.
zudem:
- gute Getränke
- moderne Inneneinrichtung mit angenehmer Atmosphäre
- zentral gelegen
- sehr freundliche Bedienung
- saubere Toiletten
Natürlich zu den Stoßzeiten 9.30-12 Uhr recht voll, aber ein freier Tisch findet sich immer.

Das Café ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Bedienung ist super nett aber etwas unaufmerksam. Das Omlette war zwar sehr lecker aber es gab nur eine Scheibe Brot dazu und die Zwiebeln, welche auf der Karte extra ausgewiesen würden waren zwei kleine Mini Streifen. Insgesamt war alles gut, aber ich verstehe die übertrieben guten Bewertungen irgendwie nicht und würde sagen das geht auf jeden Fall noch besser!

Very strong breakfast option for downtown Lisbon. The decor is carefully thought out (go sit upstairs) and the staff is on it, creating a perfect vibe for a quiet meal or just getting some work done (but maybe don't take calls, just enjoy the music). The scrambled eggs were just right and the bacon had a perfect crisp. It's a bit strange that they open only at 9am, but it's all worth it.

We had breakfast here (avocado toast and eggs royal), kombucha and soy late. It was brilliant. The food was fresh and tasty, the service was friendly and attentive and the overall vibe of the place was exactly what we needed before a full day of exploring Lisbon. Definitely recommend this place if you enjoy fresh, healthy food.

Espaço bastante acolhedor, perfeito para quem procura estudar/trabalhar, com tomadas acessíveis por cada mesa e luz direccionada. Menu diversificado não só para quem vem tomar o Brunch ou o menu de Pequeno-Almoço, como pastelaria ou sandwiches. Recomendo!!

Unfortunately I can't leave a good feedback on an overpriced "full breakfast" also half of it was simply forgotten to be served at the table. But my friends who ordered some other plates were very satisfied.

Most amazing and surprising breakfast place in Lisbon. Offering a very nice selection of hearty and sweet breakfast options for a very affordable price. The stuff is super nice and friendly, the food is amazing and the place itself is very cosy. A must to visit if you're in Lisbon. Visit on your first day so you can come back again!

O local é discreto, mas não chega a ser pequeno: de qualquer forma, parece bem movimentado por volta das 9h30, quando visitei. O cardápio oferecia brunch completo, com direito a mimosas, mas fiquei no croissant (falo mais abaixo), nas torradas e na salada de frutas (surpreendentemente variada e saborosa). Acompanhei com um café coado, bem saboroso. Há sanduíches, panquecas, toda a sorte de pratos tradicionais do “breakfast”, mas vale provar o croissant: espetacular, macio, muito leve e saboroso.

Fabulous food and juice and drinks! Absolutely loved we went twice while staying in Lisbon! This location is really close to the main square by the water and a 10min walk from our hotel in Alfama. The pancakes and avocado toast were both SO GOOD! Wish you were in Long Island!

If you love breakfast the way I love breakfast then this is the place for you! The omelette was copious and tasty. The pancakes were so good they barely needed the caramel syrup that accompanied them. Even the smoothies and coffee arento die for. Definitely make a stop here if you are in Lisbon.

An original place for a breakfast downtown, with delicious (and enormous) breakfast options, tasty coffee and lovely and helpfull staff. Definitely check the first floor, with windows open in the morning it's a pretty amazing view and atmosphere.

Nice little breakfast place. The staff was attentive and very welcoming. The food & juice quality was excellent and I totally recommend coming for breakfast. You might need a bit of luck not to wait, while its worth the wait in any case.
There is a bit of practice needed to handle the large crowd, but it was totally OK and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The coffee was ok, while at the same time there are other coffee shops in Lisbon where I liked the roast better - this is taste dependent and therefore does not influence my rating.
They had some issues with the power, but again it's the electrician who is to blame and not Dear Breakfast.

The staff was very nice and our breakfast was delicious. We were in a bit of a hurry but they made our scrambled eggs really fast so we could still enjoy them. Would def recommend going!

Place looks nice, very cosy inside. Although we were waiting 1, 5 hour to get our orders. Other people were getting food before us even they arrived later. Very poor service. Don't recommend if you come to Lisbon for short time and you don't have spare 2 hours to waste at this place. Finally food was tasty but not worth all this time which we spent here.

אוכל טעים שירות איטי במיוחד היו כמה בעיות במנות ואחד המלצרים לא הבין אותנו בכלל החשמל התנתק כמה וכמה פעמים אבל סך הכל כן ניסו לרצות אותנו ופיצו במנה טובה יותר מבדרך כלל

Lugar bastante aprazível e um ambiente muito relaxante e agradável. A comida tem uma apresentação espetacular e é muito saborosa, e tem uma variedade imensa. Os funcionários são bastante prestáveis e muiti simpáticos. É um lugar para voltar com toda a certeza.

I can really recommand this place. Very cute interior, great coffee, a lot of food choices and very lovely staff!! We had an avocado toast with scrambled eggs and red onions and a parfait with Fruits and granola - both extremly delicious. Some tables are placed in the open windows on the first floor, where the sun shines in and you can look directly on the street.

Espaço agradavel muito simples tranquilo e bem decorado. A tosta de abacate estava espetacular e a limonada bem fresquinha comida 5 estrelas o serviço foi do melhor que tive em tempos. Muito obrigado pela expriencia fantástica que tive neste meu pequeno-almoço recomendo a todos.

Awesome breakfast spot in Chiado. The "pink latte" is really unique and worth a try. Between the 3 of us, we had pancakes, eggs benedict and a salmon and cream cheese croissant - everything was top notch. The staff there are also really lovely.
If you're North American like me and struggle to find "real" breakfast when you're traveling in Europe, Dear Breakfast will bring a smile to your belly.
