I believe that the B&B is good as many other travelers are mentioned. Unfortunately after booking a very specific room with patio and the view (I paid extra for that), we were placed in a very basic apartment in completely different building. So called breakfast was a jock. They left some cold cuts and 2 raw eggs in the fridge for us to cook in the morning ( I never heard of B&B were I have to prepare my own breakfast). The place they provided to us was in Zuzabed Lisbon suits, which are poorly rated. It is basic bait and switch. After I complained to the owner, he was hiding from us all evening and only replied late at night when we cannot do anything about it. His response was that it is in the "fine prints" that he can substitute the room at his will. What a BS! He actually told us that he "upgraded" our room. He sells you on the good room and then put you in the cheap apartment (which I could rent for the half of the price from AirBnb). He also take cash upfront instead of credit card, so we cannot get our money back. The street was very noisy too with 3 restaurants just under the window.

J’ai eu la malchance de sejourner dans ce que cet etablissment appelle une suite en septembre 2016. Il s’avere que ce n’etait Qu’un horrible taudis humide, sale et sans fenêtres !!!! Le seule point de lumiere est Une porte vitrée devant laquel Senhor Luis laisser tourner le moteur diesel de sa mercedes tourner a l’arret ... un prix par nuit exhorbitant et un staff odieux et imbu de sa personne qui forcent même presque les pensionnaires à mettre une bonne appréciation sur tripadvisor avant de quitter les lieux. Un petit dejeuner immeangeable. My wife and I were in Lisbon in Oct. of 2018. We stayed in the Zuzabed located in the old section of the city. The streets and buildings are old and full of history. The interior apartments are bright, modern, and well equipped. We were able to travel to most attractions on foot, and if not.... trams, Uber, and taxi's are everywhere. Luis, the owner/operator is a very nice guy. He will go out of his way to help you enjoy the beautiful city of Lisbon. I would stay here again! Edit: It was October of 2019, sorry. We still had a great time!

This was my very first time staying on a B&B and UAU!!! I hope there are more ZUZA places around the world. Little gem behind a green door with 4 rooms only. Enough is enough and we had the best time of our lives. Beautifully decorated on the less is more concept with all the comforts needed when on holidays not forgetting a good night sleep. Breakfast is really good and diverse with a great and complete buffet selection to choose from with eggs to order. Everything is fresh and always served with a smile and professionalism by the young gentleman. All staff is very friendly. Luis (the host) created a beautiful and clean home away from home and every morning Luis himself or someone from the hospitality team is present to fill us with all the necessary information so that all guests have the best possible experience when visiting Lisbon. We loved it so much that we have returned for additional two nights at the end of our Portuguese tour. Location is unbeatable right in downtown with stunning views to castle. We have found this little B&B through Rick Steve's and we are not disappointed at all. Super central location in the old town with stunning views to castle. After a good night sleep in a comfy bed, breakfast is AMAZING and Luis and staff are the most helpful team one can wish when on holidays. Nothing is too much trouble for Luis & Luis and they are a gracious fountain of knowledge about Lisbon. Just listen them.  We will be back for sure. Great value.

Having only a short time to visit Lisbon in between work we have decided for this little private B&B which sounded to be the perfect discreet hideaway in the city. It happened to be much more than that. Perfectly located in downtown the B&B is the ideal spot to relax. Our host greeted us an upgrade to a room with beautiful views to castle from a quiet terrace attached and facing the garden. Lazy sunny mornings with a delicious breakfast we were offered outside in the terrace. Louis, a gentleman, really understand the meaning of privacy word and knows how to respect it. Without effort the staff went the extra mile to make sure we had the best weekend. Superb! Congratulations Louis and team for the magical clean and comfortable place you have created. Location, comfort and hospitality are the key words to better describe the wonderful experience we had in Lisbon at the zuza suites. Luis is a great host and the patio suites we had were the best accommodation to choose from all options we’ve seen online in Lisbon. The location is unbelievably central perfect for sightseeing all Lisbon historic highlights. The convenience of the super location continues by night because all the best dining options were a couple blocks away. Clean and comfortable atmosphere with beautiful décor. Luis is the best host to have and promptly answer to his guests enquiries. Nothing is too much trouble and we all felt very safe in his hands day&night. Being senior travelers this was important to us and we cannot be more grateful for the care Luis dedicated to all of us. The suites came with breakfast included which was a plus for all of us. Fortunately October weather helped and breakfasts were outside in our private patios.  We highly recommend.

Sim continuo a recomendar com muito carinho, é um dos poucos locais onde vale a pena se hospedar por alguns dias. Um tratamento excelente da parte do dono do estabelecimento, que se disponibiliza além de há qualquer hora, mas também estar presente nos pequenos almoços. É um encanto realmente estar entre os hospedados por vários motivos, destaco a importância do convívio e de explorar locais muitas das vezes não mencionados nos livros de viagem. Fantástico, fenomenal e soberbo.

My fifth stay in the ever beautiful Lisbon. This time I’m staying in the Lisbon suites, very nice and roomy apartments (but still with personal service and breakfast!). The four previous times I stayed in the b&b. As always a very warm reception by the team, they always want to make sure everything is ok. The suites are very roomy (way bigger compared to the b&b rooms). Compared to the b&b, the suites are more private, but I personally like the contacts with other guests in the b&b as well. Luis and the team always ask to share flight details so they can assure that someone is available to welcome you. I like it a lot that somebody greets you at the door when you arrive. This time we also requested a baby cot, which was installed in our room as requested. Still a few days left, but already looking forward to next time !

My stay in ZUZA Lisbon suites was the perfect way to see the city. It is the modern accommodation in the heart of one of the oldest districts in Lisbon – the Barrio Alto. My standard suite was more than adequate for my needs and I felt right at home but there are other options available. The suite looks and feels full of air and light, which is just what I needed for a stay in the City of 7 Hills. The conservative use of colour in my room made it feel like a home away from home. The service was just as comforting. If I needed help, the team were there on hand to put me on the right track. It is a convenient part of the city where you can rest your head before embarking on the day. They make you feel like part of the family at ZUZA Lisbon Suites and this is just the way I like to feel when I stay away. You get the feeling that this is how the residents of the city of Lisbon live their life. Don’t just take my word for it. Get on over to ZUZA Lisbon Suites and find out for yourself.

Great central location with easy access to the Rossio train station. Luis, Diego, and Ana were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order.

Excellent stay with my Portuguese host Luis in his Suite in Lisboa, the usual attentive care and slick operation. Had an amzing time in this the most wonderful of European cities! Zuzabed is a MUST for travellers and for the experience of meeting lovely people who really do want you to enjoy yourselves. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience staying at Zuzabed! Luis and his team could not have been more kind and welcoming. They were full of recommendations of places to see and things to do, and we felt very taken care of. Can´t wait to come to Lisbon so we can stay at Zuzabed again!

Nous avons une nuit a la chambre Home garden. Nous sommes globalement tres satisfaits. Deux petits bemols : premierement, il a ete difficile de contacter Luis avant le sejour: il repondait au telephone, mais pas aux mails. Deuxiemement, notre chambre du premier etage etait un peu bruyante : il y a pas mal la fete a Lisbonne au mois de Juin. Sinon, nous sommes tres satisfaits : deux personnes pour nous aider a choisir les visites, petit dejeuener copieux, cadre agreable, chambre tres bien situee. Nous avons meme recu un telephone portable pour appeler en cas de besoin !

Es war OK. Nichts besonderes außer der hauseigenen App mit Sightseeing Tipps für Lissabon. Waren für 3 Nächte dort. Wären wir länger in Lissabon geblieben, wäre eine andere Unterkunft besser gewesen. Für die Durchreise, Kurzaufenthalte und wer die zentrale Lage in Lissabon liebt perfekt.

Zuzabed was suggested by friends. But what a disappointment!!! Lacking in customer care and customer focus. Deeply disappointing in communication. Greedy Management. Stay away!!!

Wonderful hosts. Amazing location. Comfortable room. Stunning view and the balcony. Impeccable cleanliness. Tasty breakfast. Homely atmosphere. Services are beyond compare. And they have their own app. What else to ask for?! Excellent value.

Spent 7 days in the B&B and saw Luis' (the owner) promises kept. The place is accurately attended, the rooms are clean, quiet and functional. Luis and his assistant Beatriz always welcomed me with a smile, available to give all the information and advice I needed. Breakfast is more than enough, so I always found myself saving some food, used for my lunch. One of the train stations is a few minutes walk from the B&B, as two metro stations are. You are in the heart of Lisbon, a walk away from almost everything you'd like to see and experience. Also near Bairro alto and Cais do Sodre, the core of the movida. When back to Lisbon, I'll definitely stay at Zuzabed & Breakfast again.

Luis and his helping hands Juan and José treated us like guests rather than customers, and the tastefully equipped appartment felt like a home the very first minute. We had to change to a different accomodation in Lisbon for the last three days because our Zuzabed-Appartment was not available for our full stay (not Luis' fault!) and it was impossible to find anything comparibly nice in Lisbon at this time and price range. We will come back to Lisbon and we will definetely try to stay at Zuzabed again. Thanks for all!

An ideal place in Lisbon. We passed 3 days in this magnificent place very well situated to visit a good part of the city. The decoration is refined, the nights are quiet, the bed is comfortable and the breakfasts are a true (and substantial) delight. Luis and all the Zuza team are attentive and available to give us some good ideas of places to be visited and, cherry on the cake, they lend us a mobile phone during the stay to call them if we need something. And as the station is just near the house, it is easy to take a train to be in 30 minutes in the fantastic site of Sintra (and sample some Travesseiros, the local speciality).

Sin lugar a dudas el mejor hotel de Lisboa, he tenido la suerte de visitarlo en 6 ocasiones y cada dia me gusta más. Luis, su propietario, es un excelente anfitrión y te hará sentir como en casa. Los desayunos son espectaculares y con productos de excelente calidad. Si vistas Lisboa no puedes dejar de alojarte en Zuzabed.
