The front desk lady and the young lady (dark hair) who made the first report were very nice but the doctor (female of decent size) was careless and unfriendly. I had to wait for 3 hours in total and did not get much help at all (I had a total blackout and fell in the street due to food poisoning presumably) Go to the private hospital if you can afford it.

I was taken here recently, and following initial assessment transferred to the Assessment Unit in Portimao. The following day I returned to Lagos for observation. I cannot speak highly enough of the care here - everyone very friendly and caring, and the wards are relatively calm and peaceful.

Atendimento muito simpático e profissional - auxiliares, enfermeira e médico de serviço. Um excelente exemplo de serviço público, em plena época de verão, com grande afluência de turistas.

I had to get 19 stitches in my knee and found the hospital staff in Emergency very friendly and professional. It was not busy on Sunday so was treated quickly. Everyone spoke at least some English, and the doctor was quite fluent. I had to go back 2 days later to change bandage as the local clinic was closed, and had to wait around 20 minutes. Again, very professional and no trouble communicating.

Desloquei me ao hospital com uma inflamacao articulacoes que tinha pe numa bola de inchaço e as maos cheias dores Mas o Sr. Dr. (Estrangeiro) nao consegui.memorizar o nome mas foi na noite do dia 24/12/2019. Enfim fez umas analises sangue e voila nao tinha nada. Estava boa . Passado 2 dias nem mexo os dedos de tantas dores e inchaco k voltei urgencias outro hospital Sr. Dr. Por favor...escolha outra profissao.. Ou melhor...fechem esse hospital O meu pai esteve ai internado 1 semana medicina interna .tinha cancro pulmao irreversivel e so soube quando entrou em portimao e faleceu.. pk nesse hospital Lagos ninguem viu..tenho pena utentes que precisam ajuda mas......o que os espera...sao uns profissionais com pouca vontade ..pk trabalham contrariados...lobbys pois

Came here for stitches in arm and general patching up following mountain bike crash on holiday. Service a little slow but certainly no worse than home, assessed quickly and quality of treatment, bandaging and stitches all good and staff helpful.

Acudí por placas en la garganta,iba básicamente por una receta de antibiótico.Tuve que pagar la tasa de 14e aún teniendo la tarjeta europea sanitaria.En 30 min me atendieron y todo correcto.Eso si las instalaciones son bastante precarias

I never felt so angry at the medical corpus. I stayed for a little bit more than 8 hours with a friend in great pain than the doctor kept ignoring. They put her on a chair, and they paid absolutely no attention to her pain and her sayings. At the end of the day, the pain was still there, she was shaking, sweating and couldn’t walk. They let her go not even remotely sorry for not trying to know what is happening to her. Nobody was listening to us, or taking us seriously. And I believe that this is very dangerous, irresponsible, unprofessional, and extremely scary. I strongly recommend you to find another place to get treated, unless this is your last option.

This place makes you instantly feel like dying on the street might be a better idea. The emergency room has the grotesque charme of a seventies film set. And while the nurses were indeed very friendly all male employees (including the doctors) have been extremely rude. The highlight was a doctor who told us straight away (in English!) he will refuse talking in English since we are in Portugal.

É bom porque é um serviço público próximo mas é muito lento se espera muito!

Sadistic personal, absolute incapable doctors, who in a civilised first world country would be jailed. Run!
