Located very close by to the famous Mercato. There is a pub near the entrance which can be crowded and full of intoxicated youngster but no trouble. The Hotel staffs were friendly and super helpful. Eugenio was ever ready to help us to describe area to visit in Lisbon as well as Seville. Great gesture by him to make our stay memorable. Carla was a gem too. I will come back to this place. I understand that a branch will be opening in Seville soon. That's another reason to stay in their hotel there.

Arriving at the Shiadu you wonder if you have arrived at the right place surrounded by derelict buildings but the actual location could not be better. Right opposite the Time Out Mercado and 5 mins to train station and buses. Perfect. Magda and Carla where fantastic hosts with a superb breakfast and excellent local info. Would thoroughly recommend.

No primeiro momento confesso que me assustei com o lugar, mas ao abrir aquela porta (verde de aço) mudei completamente meu pensamento, as recepcionistas são um amor de pessoas, os quartos são extremamente limpos e agradáveis, não se escuta um barulho, café da manhã bem servido e local super agradável...Ambiente muito confortável e sem contar a localização, bem próximo a estação do Metro. Ponto negativo o GPS (Uber não acha o endereço), mas fica praticamente na Praça São Paulo (em uma das travessinhas) de resto tudo perfeito.

I loved everything. The hotel was very accessible, so that it was very close to Ribeira Market and convenient to go anywhere because of a couple of minutes walk from the metro. The room was very clean and was simple designed and cozy. Staff were pretty kind, so it was helpful and professional when I asked public transport, sightseeing and restraints etc. Additionally, they offer local guild tour for customers. It was enjoyable although it took longer than a scheduled time.

We booked an ‘interior’ room not realizing that meant you faced cement walls so choose your room carefully. Other than that, very clean, staff very accommodating. Great breakfast. Good area if only in Lisbon for a couple of days. Next door to Time Out Market, 40+ restaurants inside and next to waterfront.

TL;DR- this hotel this amazing and you should absolutely book here, for the location, staff, and amenities. If you are are like me, you probably are trying to choose between a few different hotel options. Let me save you some trouble: book here. I am so immensely glad I spent my time in Lisbon at this hotel. The location is amazing, I was close to everything, including the Time Out Market, which has amazing food, and the Cais Sodre train station, which was very helpful, as many of the buses and trams stop there. It is not far from the main tourist areas of Lisbon, and everything was within a short walk. I will note, that this area of the city gets a little loud at nights, as it is very close to the nightlife scene, though I never had issues sleeping. It was perfect for me, but if you crave peace and quiet, perhaps find a quieter Shiadu hotel instead. The building itself is gorgeous, with unique furniture and artwork all throughout, it felt like I was staying in someone’s home, rather than a hotel. It as though they have gone out of their way to create an authentic experience for the guests, down to the soaps in the bathroom and blanket on the bed- all made in Portugal. As far as the rooms are concerned, they were warm, immaculate, and inviting; the beds were comfortable, and they even had a diffuser for the hair dryer in the bathroom (you curly haired folk will understand how vital this is). The staff were amazingly kind and attentive. Since it was my first time in Lisbon, Sophia pulled out a large map and circled areas I may be interested in, explained the city layout to me, and how I could get around. Every question I had for the staff, they had a helpful and friendly answer. And can I tell you about the breakfast? Because the breakfast was amazing; it rivals some of the breakfasts I’ve had in restaurants. A wonderful selection of pastries, breads, meat, cheeses, and some things I couldn’t identify but it didn’t matter- they were all delicious. It was a perfect start to every day. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the view. Oh. My. God. The view. When I booked the reservation, I booked a “river view”, which I assumed, like most hotels around the world, would mean I might be able to see a tiny portion of the river from the corner of a window. Not here. Two giant, floor to ceiling windows, will full views of the river, that opened onto little terraces with window boxes. I actually giggled like a little girl when I walked into my room for the first time, I was that blown away. I could gush about this hotel forever. When I stay in Lisbon next time (and there will be a next time), I will book here again, or perhaps try one of Shiadu’s other locations. If you have made it this far into my ramblings, what are you waiting for? Go book!

O hotel é bem localizado, fica próximo do mercado da Ribeira e diversos bares, muito charmoso e tem uma vista maravilhosa para a ponte 25 de abril no café da manhã. Se for de carro o estacionamento mais próximo custa 22,5 euros a diária! Abraços

Preisgünstiges und einfaches Hotel. Aber super Ausgangslage für alle Touren durch Lissabon weil sehr nahe an Bahnhof und Metro. Hotelpersonal extrem freundlich. Sehr saubere Zimmer. Super Frühstückbuffet. Es gibt ausschliesslich Frühstück. Grosse Markthalle mit vielen Food Und Drink Bars direkt gegenüber.

We loved this hotel. It was our favorite hotel of our 2 week trip. The breakfast was awesome, the service the best we had and the location ideal, right across the street from the market, close to all transportation. The restaurant downstairs was superb, great food, cool vibe.

The friendliest, nicest place and staff ever with the most amazing breakfast! We enjoyed so much, and would come back gladly! The rooms are light, spacious and spotless, location is super central and convenient, with trains, trams and bus lines within 2 minutes walk. Time Out Market is just across the street and there is a beautiful river Tejo view from the rooms on upper floors. Amazing place!

Great rooms and very friendly service. The only issues were the shower head was weird and was hard to maneuver and another bedside table would have been great but other than that we had a good time.

Excellent location in Lisbon just behind the market with walking distance to downtown. Rooms are ok, beds are very good. Breakfast is excellent. WiFi works. Family room is ok but with 4 it gets a little crowded..

The staff was super friendly and helpful - they even packed me a breakfast box for my early flight the following morning, since I was going to miss the regular breakfast hours. My room was very cute - colorful, spacious with high ceilings, and stocked with beverages. Location was fantastic, too. Right next door to Time Out Market! Id recommend this place to anyone.

Only had one night The rooms were very sound proof and even with celebrations in the bar form stairs for Santa Antonio we were not disturbed Very comfy quirky hotel. zunächst etwas schwierig zu finden - Lage ist aber top - nähe Bahnhof und touristischen Zentren, ohne Steigungen. Im Hotel muss manTreppen steigen können (Reception und Frühstückszimmer müssen erklommen werden) Die Einrichtung ist soweit ok - Fenster sind gut isoliert... Etwas teuer - aber für touristische Lissabon-Verhältnisse absolut ok. Würde jederzeit wieder in dieses Hotel gehen...

4 stars as emergency light went off and no one gave us any information on it. Room is good size but poorly laid out making room feel small. No shower curtain so couldnt take advantage of the high water pressure, soaked entire room in few seconds. 3 reasons for 4 stars, 4 star us for its location close to everything basically.

This is a very loud, but also lively quarter. The hotel is clean, besides the bath room that is stinky and with mould in the shower (see picture) but the service, even if they seem trying hard, was limited. They told us that we were to early and the rooms would only be ready in 30 minutes. But when coming back 30 minutes later, they still told us the same. Then I was kindly offered the possibility to change and shower since I was tight on time, but they never brought me the promised towel (had to use my sweater). But all this at least in a friendly tone...

Wow! The room (double with a sea view) was beautiful. Comfortable bed and very quiet in spite of the location. And the location could not be any better. Right next to the time out market and the waterfront and a 10 min walk to Bairro alto. The staff here are so welcoming and ready to help with anything.

Eine turbulente Markthalle liegt direkt gegenüber des Hotels und es befinden sich einige Kneipen in unmittelbarer Nähe. An Nachtruhe war nicht zu denken. Selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern nicht.

Reposant. Très bien situé pour les transports en commun. Staff dynamique et discret mais toujours de bon conseil. Bonne insonorisation de la chambre et literie confortable.

Très vieil immeuble extrêmement mal isolé de l'extérieur et de l'intérieur. On peut entendre les voisins des tous les côtés. Cerise sur le gâteau, le bar qui se trouve au Rez-de-chaussée qui est ouvert jusqu'à 4h du matin. Si vous aimez les nuits blanches, foncez ! De plus, salle de bain minuscule avec une odeur de lavabo à faire vomir un rat et les joints de la douche affreusement moisis. Nous sommes partis au bout de 2 nuits alors que nous avions réservé 5 nuits. Le cauchemar ne pouvait plus durer. En expliquant notre cas, on nous a juste demandé de payer la totalité des nuitées sans aucun geste. Bref une honte à 85€ la nuit !

Wir waren für 3 Tage auf Städtetrip in Lissabon. Die direkte Umgebung des Hotels ähnelt einem Hinterhof und ist nicht sehr schön, dafür ist alles Rundherum sehr gut und schnell zu Fuss erreichbar. Vom Flughafen zum Hotel braucht man ca 45 per Metro. Nebenbei, das Metrosystem in Lissabon ist sehr Übersichtlich und gut ausgeschildert und ist ausserdem sehr günstig.Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt auch dank dem Hotel und den guten Tipps vom Hotelpersonal.PS: das Frühstückbuffet sieht auf den ersten Blick klein aus, es hat allerdings von allem und für jeden etwas dabei und war ausgezeichnet!

Das (meist recht junge) Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Stil ist vielleicht am besten als gehobenes Hostel zu umschreiben. Alles ist recht modern und individuell eingerichtet, leider sind einige Einrichtungsgegenstände etwas abgenutzt. Z.b. schloss die Badezimmertür nicht richtig, die Toilette war etwas wackelig etc. Das Bett war für zwei Personen mit etwa 140cm breite recht klein und nicht sehr komfortabel.Die Lage ist mit der Nähe zu Bus und Bahn und diversen Kneipen und Restaurants sehr gut. Große Teile der Stadt sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Allerdings ist die Gegend insbesondere am Wochenende sehr belebt und damit auch etwas laut (trotz gut isolierter Fenster).Problematischer war die Hellhörigkeit im Haus. Selbst leise Geräusche der Nachbarzimmer waren gut hörbar. Insbesondere der knartschende Dielenboden war störend.Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, allerdings nach einigen Tagen fehlte es uns an etwas Abwechslung. Das Angebot an Marmelade, Obst und Kuchen war sehr gut. Wurst, Käse, Brot etc. waren unterrepräsentiert. Frühstückseier müssen extra bezahlt werden.

Персонал- прелесть, чисто, каждодневная уборка. Для любителей "заточить на ночь булочку" - бесплатные кексы, фрукты, кофе, чай- просто дом родной! Нормальный wifi. Рекомендую

Rundum Sorglos Paket! Im Vorfeld, bei Ankunft, in jeder Minute tolle Gastgeber! Am Fuße des B.Alto gelegen, Zimmer mit Flussblick, tolles Frühstück. Kaffee, Gebäck und ein voller Kühlschrank stehen allen Gästen zur Verfügung. Das alte Haus ist liebevoll renoviert und sehr schön eingerichtet. Vielleicht ein wenig hellhörig, und die Geräuschkulisse der Bars und Restaurants ist vielleicht nicht für jeden was.Tolle Restaurantempfehlungen!

Very nice hotel that lives of its friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and have carefully selected furniture - charming. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the free espresso all day a nice add-on. The location is central and has nice bars and restaurants close. However with the great location comes a bit of noise in the night.

We came to love it. The environs are a bit off-putting in the harsh light of day but at night the air is alive with music, the streets lined with great cafes and once you come through that solid green door - you're home! The staff are ways above average and the rooms quaint and clean (we stayed twice and had a great view, large room/suite but very off bathroom and the next time a poor view, smaller room but a great bathroom). Don't ignore the Cafe Tati at street level - great music most nights and the menu varies daily - always friendly staff and patrons. Although it well placed for transport links I have to admit the area was a bit of a shock - at first. Note that the pic of the hotel on Google, covered in grafitti, must have been taken long ago and should be removed - very misleading.

Dieses Haus eignet sich prima für Städtetrips nach Lissabon. Vom Flughafen ist man mit der metro in ca 30 Minuten dort, vom Bahnhof läuft man ca 5 Minuten zum Hotel.Von diesem Bahnhof erreicht man in 25 Minuten die ersten Strände, in 45 Minuten erreicht man den Strandort Cascais.Das Hotel umfasst 15 Zimmer.Unseres war sehr geräumig, klimatisiert und hatte schallisolierte Fenster. Die 2 Frühstücksräume bieten einen Blick auf den Fluß und die gegenüberliegende Markthalle.Jeden Morgen gibt es frisch gepressten Orangensaft,Obst, verschiedene Kuchen....Das Büffet ist vor allem für Süßschnäbel ein wahrer Genuß.

Un accueil parfait et charmant, la fenêtre de la chambre donnait sur un puits intérieur avec peu de lumière, un literie en très bon état mais restreinte (140), un petit déjeuner excellent avec vue sur le Tage.Cétait au final très bien dans un contexte de we.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr schönen Zimmern u nd exzellentem Frühstück; der einzige Nachteil war, dass es am Wochenende nachts recht laut war, da gegenüber dem Hotel nachts eine Kneipe aufgemacht wurde.

Das Guesthouse hat uns wirklich positiv überrascht. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Stimmung im Team ist sehr familär und super freundlich. Jeden morgen gab es frisch zubereitetes Frühstück mit Kuchen, selbst gemachten Marmeladen etc. Auch die Zimmer sind wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles in allem war die Wahl ein voller Erfolg und ist jederzeit weiterzuempfehlen.
