Nice cafe with good food and coffee. An interesting small space with good stuff and value for money. Good spot for breakfast

Simply the best breakfast experience we had in Lisbon! Superb orangejuice, perfect expresso and the bread with goat cheese, fig, walnut and honey was divine! Beautiful interior design with lot of carefully selected books. We enjoyed a nice chat with the super friendly and multi language speaking owner. Merci beaucoup Jean Pierre, the book is on the way - I just posted Le Petit Prince in Icelandic :)

Spreekt 7 talen, waaronder Nederlands. Eigenaar heeft jaren in Amsterdam gewoond. Zeer beslist een aanrader.

No judgement for food, just unacceptably rude. We went in to have breakfast as we weren’t impressed by the good evaluations. The cafe does look very cozy with a large book shelf and nice decoration. We were not greeted by the guy at the bar (owner?), and as we sat ourselves at one of the 3 or 4 empty tables, he commanded us to remove our backpack and put in into a corner. As we replied that this is not “luggage” but simply our daybag, he snapped that he would make us remove it once someone sits at the table next to us. The tone, expression and all behavior signaled that the guy doesn’t want us there - clearly not an acceptable attitude towards guests, so we left. The place is really not to recommend.

Jean Pierre originally is from France, but certainly travelled the world and is a most thoughtful, attentive and entertaining host. The coffee was wonderful, especially in such a warm and creatively designed surrounding as this. If I'd live in Lisbon, I'd probably chose an apartment around the corner just to spend the morning ritual there regularly. I can't recommend paying Jean Pierre a visit enough, especially if you are traveling alone and also open for a conversation to review the state of the world. From ancient history to sociology, philosophy, current politics or simple chit-chat, here you'll find a most charming and interesting host. Simply a wonderful place!!

Great coffee, the toast was really good too. The place is small but super cozy and the guy is very nice. I've found it expensive for a coffee with milk and this toast 9,50€.

Delicious caffe latte and sweets, very attractive looking savory dishes, and the cutest interior design - ruined by French attitude. Ok, I know smiling is not a typical French skill, but please don’t look at guests as if you suspected them of killing you. And then this: I ask “May I see the menu?”(he had mentioned a menu before). He replies: “I don’t need to show you the menu, it’s on the wall!” Yes. And the door to leave is in the wall.

Small, cozy cafe. The service is excellent and the food even better! Everything was hand made with care to taste and aesthetics. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food for a good price :)

A very intimit and cozy cafe with the bedt possible breakfast or lunch. I would be coming here if I would live in the neighbourhood.

Awesome spot, super friendly owner, great coffee. Plus my son loves the Little Prince, and Jean-Pierre has it in every language, except Russian...became our morning coffee stop as we stayed just up the street during our Lisbon visit. Highly recommend!

Encore merci

Found this little cafe when we visited Lisbon in May. Being fans of the Little Prince books, we decided to visit. Was really tiny, but had good service and the owner was really friendly. Turns out that he can also speak a number of languages, which made for a really nice conversation. Really good pastries and coffee.

Jean Pierre is an amazing host not just coffee shop owner. The coffee is very good and the food is top notch. Matcha is excellent as well. Owner speaks many languages and is friendly and accommodating.

I’m a book and coffee nerd so based on the reviews expected to love this place. It’s good and has a welcoming vibe but doesn’t quite live up to the hype. Coffee was good but not up to previous rave reviews, sandwiches were nice but maybe a little tired, service was efficient but not super friendly. But still a nice place and I’ll probably go back.

Excellent Coffee (we were a bit disappointed that the coffee was served in paper cups). small cosy place with good food and music. The owner is very friendly. Not overcrowded like most places in Lisboa in August.

I discovered this place by accident. It has nice inspiring vibe (every time I learn new songs or books). And amazing cappuccino! If you live in Lisbon you know how hard is to find proper one:) The owner and only barista of the place is still mysterious for me. I have two ideas how he got here: 1. The owner used to work for Lufthansa (that’s why he uses Lufthansa cutlery) and the plane crushed in Lisbon, he survived and decided to stay here. 2. The owner used to live in Paris and wanted to escape from big city life. On the way he took some benches from Paris metro with him. Feel free to come here to enjoy afternoon break and discover more stories.

A super tiny cafe with tasty food and really really good coffee. Food prices are on the higher side, but the overall experience is still great. Definitely not a place to work on a laptop from due to the limited amount of space, but really great for a breakfast stop.

Hi again haha! I am that Lithuanian who came to you cafe today (23/11). What a gem is that place! The owner showed extensive knowledge about Lithuanian culture since we are from there hahhaha ended up chatting and finishing my “take away” coffee in Le Petit Prince. Coffee was good but the atmospher is just amazing starting with music, ending with cosy interior both of the staff members were super nice too!

We had a wonderful experience at the petit Prince. The staff and owner are pleasant to talk to and give you some advice what to do in Lisbon. The coffee and the food were good as well and the lemon poppyseed cake very moist and delicious. If you happen to walk by, take your time and app three for a coffee. The chances are good, that the owner can speak to you in your native language as he speaks seven of them!

It is amazing how you can make such a charming cafe in such a small space. We had the tartine (open sandwich) with goat cheese figs and walnut and another tartine with courgette, aubergine and mozzarella. Also had orange juice and beetroot & apple juice. The juice was good and the tartine was excellent. It is not a place to go if you are hungry or have a healthy appetite. We ended paying €11 each. It wasn’t cheap.

Excellent espresso milk drinks, and interesting conversations with the owner. I was lucky to stay several days in the neighborhood, only a few doors away!

Great little French cafe with an oh so smooth cappuccino. The croissant wasn’t as light and flakey as I expected, and unfortunately I didn’t get to try the tartine during my visit. However, this cozy shop in combination with warm service gave me a great impression of this cafe. Come if you want to spend some time to enjoy a great cup of coffee.

This little tucked away spot was perfect for my brunch needs on a Saturday morning. Brunch is super fashionable in Lisbon, meaning overpriced, overhyped, and over run with people. Not this place! The owners of this little spot genuinely cared that I enjoyed their delicious croissants, yogurt, and toasts (I had the salmon and avocado). They also were totally fine with me relaxing and reading my book, not trying to rush me out to make room for others. Oh and the adorable bookshop/library part made for a cosy feel that I didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend.

Super cute little place that we saw as we passed on our way elsewhere. It’s really tiny with less than 20 seats. Luckily people were leaving when we arrived. We grabbed seats and were shown to the menu board after ordering coffee and juice with the lovely waitress. The menu was limited but some great sounding dishes on there. We ordered croissants but were told that they were out of those. Instead we were offered a pre-made tartine from the fridge. It really didn’t look appetising - dry, discoloured avocado on top. We declined. While we were enjoying our coffee and juice (some of the best coffee I’ve had in Lisbon) a large group arrived. The guy who I assume was the manager started moving seats around to accommodate them which would have made us squash up into a corner. We drank up quickly and left. Not a great experience!

Great little cafe with lots of charm and character. Stopped here for lunch while we visited Lisbon after seeing it mentioned in a travel blog. Would definitely recommend. There were good variations of open sandwiches available for lunch options and we also went for a brownie which was delicious. The service was really friendly and personal, and the owner also took the time to discuss the art on display which i had been admiring. Will definitely be back next time we are in Lisbon. Thanks!

What a special place. In this tiny hidden cafe, non detail is left forgotten, from the decoration to the food. The owner is very nice and you can enjoy a great chat as much as the food and drinks. I particularly liked the chalk board anyone can use for some creative time - my friend and I created the joint piece of art in the photo.

You can enjoy nice coffee here. The owner is very nice, he likes Japan and knows some Japanese. He told me nice Japanese restaurant in Lisbon.

Beautiful little coffee & food place with a nice atmosphere. All my wishes had been fulfilled although there are not many vegan options because the really nice owner made me a vegan salad that was very nice! I also had a smoothie that was made fresh and was very tasty. I would definitely go there next time when I'm in lisbon. It's such a calm and peaceful place.

Ambiente pequeno, bonito e muito agradável. Pedimos capuccino, e estava maravilhoso!

Came here because of the good reviews, but got really disappointed. The person behind the counter seemed to be very unhappy and was quite unfriendly to us. We were the only customers besides one person in the cafe, so he was in no rush or stress. Won’t be coming back. The matcha + coffee was good, but it’s also about the customer service for us and that was non existant. Sad. (Also don’t have lids for take away cups, just fyi)

Possibly one of the best coffees in Lisbon. I frequented the place on a daily basis. It’s often very quiet, internet is pretty strong and the music list is perfect. The owner runs the cafe himself. He’s an intellectual and it’s always delightful to have a chat with him. If you happen to be around don’t forget to drop by and taste one of the delicious tartines. Each of them named after a book, seems to have been thought through very carefully.

I absolutely loved this place! A nice and cozy cafe with excellent coffee, food and service. I recommend trying the vol de nuit or the lune de miel. They were so good that I came back for breakfast on both days of my trip. Though, I would expect everything served in the cafe is delicious. This cafe really is a little French gem off the busy streets in Lisboa!

Divine little French cafe. The freshest avocado I've had in Europe and homemade green juice! This guy takes a lot of pride in his craft and it shows.

We stayed there during our visit of Lisbon. Searching for a small café we found this awesome place. The owner was really kind and welcomed us in his cozy café. Drinks and coffee had a really good quality. If you are near this place it's a good choice to relax for an hour or so until to continue you trip.

This was an excellent find. An unassuming corner cafe with superb coffee, delicious food and a delightful owner and host who hails from France and has settled in Portugal to open a cafe after his travels.

WIFI gratuit.

Very cute café with good quality coffee. The owner is also very friendly. The only bad thing is that it's quite pricey (we paid 3.5 for a cappucino!) which made us feel a bit scammed when we left...

Nice spot to have a healthy and tasted breakfast. Managed by a sympathic French guy who loves life pleasures like painting, eating, decoration, old furniture and culture in general. We have spoken about lots of different topics. Really good spot where you should go ! You could discover in you a artistic pattern ..

Great ambience; freshly made food and lovely coffee and fresh-made soft drinks. 11 year old converted to tapenade and sun dried tomatoes in one lunchtime. Recommend!

We're lucky enough to travel the world a bit, and evrewhere we go, we are trying to find good coffee. I have to say this place has one of the best coffee we ever had. I guess it's the best coffee in Lisbon. Highly recommended. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Amazing place. Really nice owner who gave recommendations for the stay in Lisbon. Incredible coffee with great toasts (the goat cheese, walnut, and fig one is to die for). Highly recommended. 6/5 stars
