Il n’est pas besoin d’utiliser de superlatifs tellement l’expérience a été fantastique. Le restaurant dont la petite façade cache un véritable joyaux. Décoration épurée et clair. Espace spacieux. Il faut choisir le menu dégustation c’est un ravissement des plats qui s’enchaîne tous au goût différent mais tellement délicieux. Il faut noter aussi un personnel discret et disponible qui vous sert dans un balais délicat et d’une efficacité sans pareil. Un restaurant qu’il faut absolument faire à Lisbonne.

Spot-on formal meal with recreated Portuguese dishes. The Evolucion menu was outstanding. The staff was attentive and subtly entertaining. The only disruption was Americans who special-ordered their meals and wanted to make friends with everyone. Be quiet and enjoy your meal. It'll better than anything you could have dreamed of.

Pedimos o Menu de degustação clássico com vários vinhos. É uma viagem de surpresas, nota-se um grande empenho e trabalho detalhado em todos os pratos. A escolha de vinhos foi muito bem conseguida. E os empregados de mesa conhecem muito bem os pratos e estão muito bem coordenados, sem duvida que está ali muito trabalho.

Ótimo serviço e comida muito boa. Ótimos ingredientes. Comida portuguesa revisitada. Gostei muito da sobremesa com doces conventuais. Apesar da boa experiência, achei um pouco caro pelo que oferece. Estive em outros restaurantes estrelados com preços mais justos. Mesmo assim vale a visita para quem gosta de experiências gourmet.

Ottimo ristorante/pub. Piatti sfiziosi e particolari fatti con ingredienti semplici. Abbiamo ordinato tacos con salse, crocchette di formaggio francese e due hamburger ( uno con panino ed uno servito con avocado e verza ). Ci è sembrato curioso ed originale il modo di cucinare i tacos. Gentili e cordiali i camerieri. Posto consigliatissimo.

Am not surprised that this restaurant received the recognition of 2 Michelin stars. Fantastic staff, delightful flavours and surprise after surprise! One of my favourite was the 'tuna rose' hidden within the bouquet of flowers. Even though it's truly world class dining, there was no pretense and the team were was superbly warm.

Excellent experience. Belcanto definitely deserves their Michelin Star. I personally think, they will even have a shot at a second one next year. The setting and service were both absolutely outstanding. The most attentive, yet down-to-earth staff we have had in a while We had the Lisboa menu, which was absolutely stunning. An absolute standout here was the "Three hearts" - Lettuce heart, veal heart and walnut emulsion (heart shaped) - probably one of the best things I ever had. There were nods to El Bulli-style molecular kitchen in some courses and the courses were inventive and flawless. Another highlight were the deserts that included a small reprise to several courses in the menu (when it comes to look, not taste). Definitely visit this place if you are looking for a great fine dining experience in Lisbon (This review was originally written in 2014 and updated in 2018)

I had a five-hundred dollar tasting menu with wine pairings, and I have absolutely zero regrets. I actually looked at my credit card statement and smiled thinking about the memory of this meal instead of cringing at the cost. As you would expect from a 2-Michelin-star establishment, the food, service, and decor were all on point. I found the dishes to be above average even for this level, and would definitely go back to try a different tasting menu or maybe do a la carte Where they really stood out though was their service and how they reacted to us. My group is not stuffy, we were loud and boisterous. We started with a bottle of cava before the wine pairing, and finished with a bottle of our favorite from the tasting, so we were definitely not sober either, and they took it in stride, being just as playful with us as we were being with them. I really appreciated that because so many Michelin restaurants can be stuffy and buttoned up, not their front of house, they were spectacular.

Amazing meal with every detail laid out perfectly! The staff was very kind and informative about the tastings. We did the Evolution Menu which is the newest creations from the chef, but it is expensive at €185pp. We were celebrating a very special occasion, so this was the perfect place to celebrate.

Lo primero que hay que destacar es el increíble equipo humano que te encuentras. Son auténticos profesionales que disfrutan con lo que hacen y se encargan de trasmitir esa satisfacción en cada plato que te presentan. El local es muy agradable, aunque de aspecto demasiado formal... pero esto va en gustos personales, por lo que nada hay que objetar como negativo. El nivel de la cocina es simplemente impresionante. Todo son sorpresas exquisitas, tanto por el sabor como por la presentación y la calidad que se nota en todos los detalles que te van ofreciendo. Hemos probado varios menús en distintas ocasiones, y absolutamente recomendable. Un restaurante de primerísimo nivel.

This is one of the best meals we have had anywhere in the world. The atmosphere, the service, the food were outstanding. Everyone was friendly, inviting, knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed dinner at the Chef’s Table and Chef Davide and the entire staff were spectacular. We have eaten all over the world at all types of restaurants and Chef Davide, the entire staff including the Viking Pastry Chef and our personal server made this a memorable and excellent experience We will return to Lisboa just to eat here again

Gostei muito no entanto preco/qualidade demasiado elevado comparativamente com outros da mesma categoria como por ex o restaurante ALMA. Escolhemos menu de degustação com 5 vinhos e no 2°vinho servido pedi um pouco mais e fizeram se esquecidos, ou seja, parece que só servem 1 copo de cada variedade o que não me parece correcto num restaurante desta qualidade e com estes preços.

My wife & I just celebrated 10 years together at the Chef's table at Belcanto, and were once again stunningly impressed by the flavors, creativity, and service! Bravo Belcanto(!!!) once again. This was our 4th experience in what I believe to be one of the world's truly unique gastronomic delights. We travel everywhere in the world and feel privileged to eat anywhere we choose - we choose Belcanto for all the right reasons. It certainly isn't inexpensive, but for what you get... GO FOR IT!!!

Um tipo está preso entre o "é preciso poupar" e o "só se vive uma vez"...sendo que desta vez a última atitude "ganhou". E ainda bem. Não é ir "jantar fora"...é toda uma experiência culinária que, quiçá espicaçada pela expectativa, só pode ser descrita como "brutal". Isto de comer enquanto "lá fora" a Orquestra Sinfónica de Lisboa toca Prokofiev deixa um tipo inchado ...mas era só o "Festival ao Largo". A repetir, lá para 2019!

Excelente. Provamos o degustação clássico com vinhos. Os vinhos ao contrario do falado são excelentes, porém, a quantidade é muito pouca e os valores são baixos. Acho que não servem vinhos nem perto de custar 40 euros garrafa, mas a harmonização funciona muito bem. Os vinhos são servidos em pequenas porções. A comida é também excepcional. O cozido português emociona e a harmonização é espetacular. Porém, senti que faltou comida. Uma crítica apenas: o ovo BT estava muito mole, a gema precisava ser mais consistente pra comer de garfo, como os talheres sugeriam, de fato, uma falha. No mais, custo benefício baixo. Já fui em vários 1 estrela que foram mais baratos e melhores. Conta pra 2 deu 500 euros, o que considero bem acima da média pro que foi entregue. Enfim, experiência gastronômica excelente, porem, de baixo custo benefício.

Showed up for our reservation made by our hotel that refers to them frequently to be told that our reservation was cancel. They blamed out hotel. Told our hotel because all confirmations/cancellations are done via email to avoid this. They only have the reservation confirmation.

Really amazing. The Evolution tasting menu tops several 3 star places I've been to. The pot au feu variation and the sea bass were my favorites, but really every single thing was awesome. This kind of place is why I never express any dislikes at high end restaurants, because normally I'm not fond of horse mackerel, but the smoked version here was excellent. Worth making a trip for!

Chose Chef’s table menu, table was very wired positioned, can’t see the preparing work, full tasting menu were 300€ per person, nothing was incredible, even the plating was very boring. I been here two times within two years, it’s getting worse. So, if anyone wants to try, don’t have any expectations.

Fabulous food to savour and explore. Lovely wines, excellent service and ambience. Easy, city centre location. Not really a negative, the staff were all young and though well trained their inexperience showed in a slightly nervous manner, though they could share a joke in English. A brilliant experience.

Je reviendrai certainement pour découvrir les nouveautés du chef Avillez qui mérite ces 2 étoiles au guide Michelin. We had our meal (discovery menu) a few days ago and was very disappointed about it. Me and my husband were foodie people and we have tried a few 1 star Michelin restaurants in UK. Before we came, we were very looking forward to the experience. But it turned out that the food was nothing exciting, very very normal taste. One of the dishes was duck liver Foie gras which we didn't eat due to ethical reason. We were very surprised that they serve this kind of dish in an international well known 2 Michelin star restaurant. And my prawn was under cooked and I actually felt sick after having a bite of that dish and had asked to send back. My husband also found fish bone in a very simple dish. The waiter took the dish away, chef didn't say anything about it at all. When I had a small bite of my first main course, it was nothing special about a piece of fish, I already felt sick from the raw prawn I had previously and I couldn't enjoy any more dish without feeling sick, we then decided to leave the rest of meal. We were charged in full price. My whole experience, not worth the money, food was over priced for what you get a normal experience. Not sure how they got 2 stars as well.

Una autentica vergüenza es lo que pase en este restaurante , el día 29 de diciembre. Todo paso de forma correcta hasta que llegó la cuenta, el total de la cuenta ascendió a 358€ y yo les hice entrega de 15 billetes de 20€(300€) y 6 billetes de 10€(60€), 300+60= 360€. Contados dos veces para que no haya ningún tipo de equivocación. Deje otro tanto dinero encima de la mesa a modo de propina y ya estaba dispuesto a marcharme. A lo que viene la camarera y me dice que el dinero no esta correcto y que falta, a lo que pongo cara de asombro. Me enseña otra vez el dinero( dinero que ha estado fuera de mi vista desde que se fue de la mesa hasta la caja) y me encuentro con que en vez de 15 billetes de 20€ , hay 14, podría ser que yo me equivocase al contar pero lo hice 2 veces y en cualquier caso, se tendría que haber contado delante del cliente, igualmente les insistí en que lo comprobasen y la camarera me insistió en que el jefe lo comprobó el dinero pero no se dignaron a hacer un recuento de la caja por si había un descuadre. Al final acabe dando los 20€ porque tenía prisa, tenía el vuelo de vuelta a España. Me parece muy poco profesional lo que me ha pasado con este restaurante, por lo menos se podrían haber dignado a hacer un recuento de la caja por si había un descuadre. Me fui bastante disgustado y con sensación de haber sido engañado. Y hablando de la comida y el servicio durante ella, fue todo correcto pero sin ser llegar a la excelencia. He probado restaurantes con precios similares bastante superior a este en calidad de los platos. El servicio atento durante toda la comida, quitando el altercado con la cuenta, no puedo decir nada más sobre el servicio de los camareros.

Melhor experiência que já alguma vez tive. Desde a chamada que fiz 1 mês antes até à saída do restaurante. Staff extremamente atencioso, educado e simpático. Comi o lombo de novilho, a carne desfazia - se na boca, estava perfeito. Eles iam trazendo pequenos aperitivos, cada um melhor que outro, sabores inimagináveis, divinais...A funcionária que nos atendeu foi de uma simpatia total e atenciosa, eles lembraram - se cada pormenor que eu tinha falado na reserva, inclusive que o meu namorado é cozinheiro também e por isso tiveram a atenção de nos mostrar a cozinha e lá o staff foi igualmente super simpático, todos nós cumprimentaram... Não é algo barato mas não me arrependo de nem um cêntimo que lá deixei e ficou a promessa de voltar. Obrigada.

Valeu o facto de termos sido servidos por um extraordinário, eficiente e educadissimo profissional de nome Rostyslav Fedotov! Com um serviço e atendimento,deste calibre,esqueci rapidamente o facto de terem trocado a minha reserva.

Food tasted good but when I found a hair in one of the dishes. The Staff took the dish away and quickly swapped it with something else. There was no mention of the hair by any staff or manager. It's been a while since this incident but I still remember the hair in my dish and how the situation was dealt it and I have never wanted to return to any Avilez establishment.

This was our first time dining at a Michelin star restaurant (2 stars to be exact), so we didn’t know what to expect. Maybe we expected too much. We sat at the Chefs table with another couple and could tell they were just as excited for this unique dining experience (it just happened that we were both celebrating milestone birthdays). The whole experience lasted way too long, approximately 4 hours, and the wine/drink pairing was over priced (thought each course would have a unique pairing, it wasn’t). Our server, whom was a trainee did his best to guide us through our dining experience but it probably wasn’t the best idea (maybe have a chef or the head chef bring out to dishes and explain them to us instead). So far we haven’t had a bad meal in Portugal so we didn’t expect this letdown. The food was just ok and the we weren’t impressed by the plating. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Service was ok like I said but I’ve had much better service at a steakhouse in the US. There wasn’t much attention paid to cleaning the table after each plate was served and picked up. Water rings and bread crumbs continued to sit throughout all the courses instead of being wiped and swept away. I would say the best part of the dinner was actually watching and listening to the kitchen gel in unison like a well orchestrated symphony. This bumped it up from 2 stars to 3 stars. We wanted to like it, actually, we wanted to love it but we just couldn’t.

Does not dissapoint for a 2 michelin star restaurant. Food was fantastic and service was wonderful. In Restaurants like Belcanto you expect food to be superb (was), but the differentiating factor is the experience. The experience was fantastic with creative dishes and moments coming from the chef that made for a very entertaining night. Our waiter was super friendly and could speak 3 languages so we were able to communicate very well. All of his suggestions were on point and made the experiences much better.

Let me start by saying that it is pricey. With that out of the way, it served up one of the best fish dishes I've had to date (a dip in the ocean). If you're looking for a revolutionary meal that challenges your palate, this is not it. What it is, is a modern take on some classical "Portuguese" dishes. The technique is definitely there as is the general experience. The new venue is tastefully executed, the service, on point. The sommelier was accommodating and helpful.

We arrived to find that our reservation had been canceled - somehow, as here we were. When you have Michelin stars, you know how to make things right, and we ended up at a lovely “private” table where the staff meets to plan the day. Since we are typically noisy, this was perfect. Then came the food and wines over the next four hours! We had the 13 “mini-experiences” Evolution tasting menu. I can’t even tell you what everything was, but fortunately we received a printed menu as a parting gift. Foie gras, seafood, pigeon, clam, shrimp, and more. Whimsical molecular gastronomy mixed in with classic, perfectly prepared and presented food. We were smiling, laughing, and amazed all evening. The service was superb, of course (Obrigado to Luis!). We asked if we could sneak back in next Saturday after the hike to try the “other” tasting menu, the Classic. Full, but they have our numbers, just in case! Very highly recommended. Cinco estrelas!

Not just a meal...an experience. The food is of course outstanding in both presentation and flavor, and the meal was perfectly paced. 4 hours passed by without feeling at all long. The wine pairing provided a wonderful journey including a nice selection of rare and unusual Portuguese wines that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

Absolutely wonderful! One of the best meals we have ever had. We both did the Evolution menu with the wine pairing - definitely a large amount of food but not too much. Service was above and beyond excellent. It was a long meal given the number of courses, but we never had an empty drink or waited for more than a few moments for the next course. We had a very loud and obnoxious table next to us (really the only negative all night, and certainly not the restaurant’s fault) but they handled well. After dessert, they also welcomed us back into the kitchen to see how everything was made and meet the chefs. An awesome experience. Food itself was also excellent - a good mix of adventurous molecular gastronomy and more traditional dishes that were perfectly-done. Wine pairing was also a highlight - all Portuguese wines and mostly white, but accentuated all of the dishes so well.

An excellent restaurant which really deserves to be in the 50 best of the world. They offer both tasting menus as well as individual selections. The price was Euro 185 for the Evolution Tasting, which is a new menu, composed by 3 "tempos" (3 sections) that will last 2 to 2.5hs. The Classic tasting cost Euro 165 and had 8 dishes lasting 1.5hs. If you will prefer individual dishes it will cost around Euro 40 for a starter, 50 for the main dish and 20 for the dessert, totalling Euro 110. We chose the Classic tasting as its composed of all the Classic dishes and, really, who would come to a 50 best restaurant and not have a tasting menu? Of all 8 dishes, for the 3 were a masterpiece: a cherry and nut gaspacho (cold soup served in a glass), the perfect egg with troufle oil and gold sheet (yes, a real gold sheet on top of the yolk), and the seabass (uau, what is this dish?? You can taste the sea in it!). Overall, I left completelly satisfied, happy and missing already the menu. The service is very good as well, they even pointed me to a wine store that has the wine we drank and which we wanted to buy more.

Not the 1st time I’ve been extremely disappointed with a critically acclaimed restaurant and probably won’t be the last. Beautiful presentation of fun looking food but was so underwhelming for taste. Molecular gastronomy only takes you so far. We only had 3 dinners in Lisbon and this was by far our least favorite and at a cost of 3X the cost of the next most pricey meal. Save your money and enjoy the many more traditional, flavorful meals available in this beautiful city with much less stuffy and pretentious service. Disappointed to say the least.

Holy moly! This place is incredible. We didn’t have a reservation but were accommodated immediately. We didn’t really know what to expect but were floored by all of the inventive and delicious snacks served to occupy us before the main course. My mother is very picky when it comes to meat and so the restaurant made sure to make her options work for her palette. The servers were entertaining and always on top of stuff. They forgot a salad we ordered and apologized but it wasn’t an issue for us because of the amazing service — plus, we were surprisingly full even before our main courses. Highly recommend and worth the splurge! Lots of little surprises and really fun experience.

No reservations needed (or ever wanted). Skip this place, please save your money. All the travel books recommend eating at this exquisite Michelin 2-star restaurant. Unfortunately by the 4th course (what the servers referred to as a Chef’s surprise), my friend and I were repulsed. I preferred to interrupt the meal, pay the tab, and leave. Instead, she convinced me to stuck it out until the main course was served, but then both agreed to leave before dessert and aperitifs were served. For example - In one bite, a plump cherry explodes in your mouth leaving an after taste of rancid ground beef. The next Chef’s demise consists of preparing a smoked avocado paste served over a sea bass? I chewed on tenderloins for about three minutes a piece. Our concerned servers couldn’t believe our distaste for their culinary bravado. I believe most diners are paid actors. To top it off, as we stepped outside of the restaurant on to the cobblestoned sidewalk to hail a cab, two (2) cute little rats scurried across our feet. Again, no reservations required - ever again.

Currently Michelin 2 star but really hovers near three. As a tip, the lunch menu is the same as dinner and easier to score a seating. If still hungry in the later evening, just go out for petiscos!

O Belcanto, do chef Avilez, é o único restaurante português na lista do World's 50 Best Restaurants, da revista britânica Restaurant. Também tem duas estrelas Michelin. O menu é fora do vulgar e vive muito da imaginação prodigiosa do chef Avillez. Onde é que já se viu um prato de lagosta com dois serviços: primeiro a sopa de lagosta e depois a lagosta confeccionada? Ou tangerina congelada em azoto? Já la fui com uma filha minha e paguei uma conta na casa dos €€€. Mas valeu a pena porque experimentámos grande parte dos pratos do menu. É um daqueles restaurantes a que não se vai todos os dias mas vai-se nas ocasiões especiais.

Sem dúvida um restaurante a experimentar quando a carteira está mais recheada. Achei caro ao início (165 por pessoa), mas depois de ver o trabalho que está por trás de cada prato, ou momento como é nos dito ao início, percebe-se para onde vai o dinheiro. A título pessoal a única crítica que posso fazer é que acho que podiam ter a opção de um menu evolution mais pequeno e consequentemente mais acessível. Porque ao fim de dez momentos já se começa a ficar cheio e ainda faltam cinco para acabar a refeição.

I'll start with the good points. In general the staff were friendly and efficient. Except one. I'll come to that later. The food was at times challenging for members of the party, I'd hesitate to say the egg white was a tad undercooked, but it wasn't an appealing texture. Two members of the party didn't enjoy the dip in the sea. Things looked up with the pork, although the theatre around painting around the pressed meat reminded my son of my DIY efforts painting around a plug socket! The issue came with the wine. We'd had a wine flight the night before (at the excellent Leopold up near the castle) so braved the enormous list. I picked out one from the "specials" page of wines which would soon be taken off the menu and told the sommelier which one I wanted. A €49 bottle. I thought I was quite clear in my choice, but obviously not when I checked the bill at the end as I'd been brought a €100 bottle. I queried this to be told I'd pointed at this more expensive wine! Maybe I did but I would then expect the so - called expert to respectfully check why what I was saying didn't match what I'd pointed at. I find it difficult to read in low light at the best of times and I was put out by the dismussive manner in which the sommelier rejected my enquiry. It certainly left a very sour taste in the mouth. Not what I would expect from a two star establishment at all. It didn't look as if the North American couple next to us were enjoying their 16 courses either from what they were saying, either. My advice? Based on that corner of the restaurant's experience, avoid this place.

Definitely abundance of creativity and fun can be found in all the dishes. However, I would expect more for such a highly rated restaurant. I ordered Lisbon menu with 3 wine pairings. It took awhile for wines to start opening up, so the wines were not good pairs, personally, to the pace of all the dishes. The egg dish was quite amazing actually. And Dip in the sea (the cod dish) was pleasantly surprising and so were the chef's compliments. On the other hand, both of the meat dishes were very disappointing. Deserts were somewhat mediocre. Overall, the experience (including service) was good and food was all right. Had the price been a little bit more reasonable, I don't think my ratings will be so harsh.

Allow me to preface that this was my first 2+ Michelin star experience, perhaps I expected something different than I should have. That said I have trained in a french kitchen and been to quite a few restaurants considered to be top tier. The food was... Ok. I was consistently presented with experiences I had never had, but I was not consistently presented with good tasting food. Every single dish was without question cooked to perfection, however during the full 14 courses, I felt like everything was a little under seasoned. I *loved* the new textures and experiences brought by the molecular gastronomy, however I don't think it was enough overall. Also, my wife suffers from some admittedly annoying food allergies, but I have had many lesser restaurants handle it better. She had dishes that were honestly just bad. I know that a 2 star restaurant like this excels at perfection, but I believe they've lost their way some. In the name of a type of "perfection" I believe we got some really mediocre dishes and in the case of something made to work around food allergies, some bad food. All around I was disappointed. I just expected more than an experience. Out of 14 courses most fell on a personal scale of 6-7 out of 10. I am disappoint.

Marvelous foods. We went there for lunch and learned that same menu is offered for dinner which was nice since dinner was all booked. The teaser starters were amazing. Pleasantly surprise with eatable rocks (pretty cool experience.) Well balanced flavors and excellent presentation. Expected more from this 2-Michelin star restaurant. Had the 'Lisboa' menu, where only 1 out of 5 dishes was truly outstanding, the rest was rather average (for a 'haute cuisine' restaurant). Creative and delicious menu. We ordered the top set menu (16 courses) and most of the dishes were incredible. But it was just too much food. The weakest dish was the weird thing they do with the prawn head in a biscuit (that you can't eat) cave. Really unnecessary. The tuna in the flowers was one of the best things I have every eaten, as was the eel with the yolk. The service was a little confusing and weird, one waiter had the quietest voice and we could barely hear what he was saying. Great wine menu. Highly recommend if you are looking for fine dining in Lisbon, just order one of the shorter / cheaper menus, because the big one is just impossible.

Dès l'instant où vous franchissez la porte du Belcanto, le personnel en salle et en cuisine prend soin de vous. Tout était parfait du début à la fin. Nous étions 6 et l'avis est unanime. La cuisine est vraiment excellente et agréablement surprenante! Le chef mérite vraiment ses deux étoiles! Si vous allez à Lisbonne, ne ratez pas cette magnifique occasion de goûter la cuisine du chef Avillez!

Very good - we had the evolution menu and wished we'd ordered fewer courses. Each moment / course was delicious although some (squid head and sea urchin) are an acquired taste. Particularly enioyed the crayfish (no spoilers about the method here though). Well worth a visit s there's something for everyone, however not quite at the level of Il Convivo in Rome

So decided to try a fine dining restaurant, it was 145 Euros, for the menu we had which was 12 courses, I think that was probably 3 courses too many in my opinion, the first few dishes were shaped like beans though they were liquid inside the flavour was interesting though I was not completely won over by these, There were better dishes as it progressed, the oxtail was stunning and also the Shrimp was nicely flavoured. the dessert there was 2 sets first one was nice with a peach mouse and pumpkin that had been dried so it was crisp, the 2nd dessert again not a huge fan made to look like an orange, hints of clementine from the shell and the foam inside. I think 9 courses would have suffice, would I pay for this again probably not, but than again i'm not that in to fine dining, I preferred the homely places with ambience and atmosphere.

Oh my. Possibly the best restaurant I have been to IN THE WORLD. The restaurant is so creative and fun - they really channel the sensibility from El Bulli and the playfulness that food can have. The service is really top notch. We went with the "surprise me" menu. Everything that came out had some element of fun and happiness embedded in it. That's what I love to get at these ridiculously expensive restaurants - give me something fun and happy and I'm down with whatever you give me! My favorites were the seafood dishes (well it's Portugal), the bread - absolutely unbelievable and probably the best I've ever had, and the citrus dessert at the end. BTW, remember when I mentioned the service being top notch? It turns out that when someone in the restaurant happens to have terrible stomach issues and can't handle some of the food because of extraneous circumstances, the staff has a protocol to bring out tea and sparkling water to calm everything down. Really, so nice. Honestly, can't wait for the next time when I'll have the chance to come to Lisbon so I can come here again.

Went here for lunch with my girlfriend and I must say the experience was amazing. We ordered the Lisbon set menu and the 5 wine pairing and I must say the food was the best I've ever had and the wine quality was in line with the food. This is an experience I would recommend to anyone in Lisbon with some money to burn on a top notch meal.

号称米其林餐厅的,我跟着小朋友的GPS向导一路摸到某个plaza,但是完全看不出这家餐厅的气势,而且门还是关着的,都以为那天不营业,但是敲门之后就有服务员出来开门的。听我们说没有预约,居然先要进去看看有没有座,这点让我小不满意,再怎么样的餐馆,里面有没有空,或者说空下来的是不是预定掉总归知道吧?而且我们去的时候已经过了饭点,一进去就看到2-3张桌子空着的。。。 进去之后这个服务基本就没什么可以挑剔了,基本上以抬头要找服务员,他们就会过来,点单的时候不会催得很紧,真的就是来的恰到好处,而且对于我们这种外乡人对于菜单的提问也是一一解答,看上去非常nice,非常耐心。。 为了最大程度的体验米其林的食物,我们点了一个套餐,这个套餐的内容就是他们四个course的内容。。对于食物的内容我暂不评论,总结出来的一句话就是神奇!!怎么可以像得到这样来做料理,怎么可以想得出这样的摆盘,怎么可以想得出这样的搭配。。词藻匮乏,无法用文字完全表述,所以上了小朋友拍得美图,大家好好欣赏哈 :D 吃到整个饭店就我们两个人了,还多叫了一瓶水慢慢喝着聊天,嘻嘻。。当然,价格也是可以的,毕竟三星,我们吃掉100多欧人均..

sala acusticamente mal cuidada, empregados de mesa mal preparados, mal coordenados, excessivamente chatos, demasiado presentes...entradas fracas, refiro-me ao cozido à portuguesa e a uma entrada de marisco designada "rebentação". a 1ª é constituída por dois tipos de couve, dois cubos de nabo e cenoura cozidos no " ponto " regado com um pouco de caldo de carne, não consigo encontrar a criatividade deste cozido, a 2ª tem pequenas tiras de lingueirão, de percebes , de amêijoas ..espuma de agua de mar.. bonito, boa apresentação, mas sabor a mar? nenhum!..pratos principais bons: leitão e salmonete..sobremesa boa: tangerina. Carta de vinhos muito limitada..há muito trabalho a realizar no Belcanto.

The upscale Iberian ding experience. Some meat, no chicken - but seafood that tastes like seafood. Did I need the giant shrimp's head? No, but you might. Finally, dessert doesn't need to be THAT fancy. Just once I'd like to go somewhere like this and get a huge-ass slice of chocolate cake at the end of the meal.

Excellent fine dining experience in Lisbon! This is José Avillez's signature restaurant which was recently awarded a very well deserving 2nd michelin star. Food is beautiful presented and simply divine. Definitely worth trying their signature tasting menu featured as 'moments'.

It's not easy to find great food in Lisbon. The Belcanto however is outstanding. A small, charming restaurant with excellent Service (thank you João Alves de Sá for your outstanding wine recommendations - I will never forget the Vinha da Ordem and Collares 1969 experience). The food is not only great, it's outstanding. A combination of Portuguese traditional flavours and top class modern elements. This restaurant is one of the best I've visited over the last years and the atmosphere is just right as it’s not too “cold" but warm and welcoming even if you are visiting with a child. Highly recommended and we’ll come back!

Booked a week before and managed get 930pm table on wed. Service 1st class apart from having wait 20 mins for table. Tried classic menu and good selection of best dishes. Ordered a Spanish wine as been drinking good range of local reds. First class dishes and service.....Thanks to sommelier Jaio and manager Luis....also drank glass of 71 single vineyard harvest of Dalvo port....
