We had a lovely time at Consensual. The atmosphere is lovely, classy but relaxed enough that you feel perfectly at ease - this is due in large part to the wonderful staff in attendance. As for the food, suffice it to say that you're in a for a treat (or rather, 8 treats). Portions are exactly the right size so that you can get to the last dessert and not feel too stuffed to enjoy it. Taste pairings are inventive and clever (the cashew and tamarin roast beef, the pepper pana cotta for instance were huge successes at our table). If you want to have a lovely dinner without excessive fuss, do book Consensual! Un dîner formidable chez Consensual. L'ambiance est parfaite, à la fois élégante et détendue, notamment grâce au service. Quant à la nourriture, vous allez vous régaler, tant les 8 plats sont imaginatifs et bien réalisés. Sono venuto in questo ristorante con del cibo da casa mia (anche la buonissima Acqua Calabbria, la mia preferita che voi non avrete mai). 1) Perché avete delle attese eterne, e 2 perché sapevo che nonostante mi avreste dato del cibo avrei avuto ancora fame. Ora io dico: perché non mi lasciate portare le mie cimici allevate e mangiate di generazione in generazione nella mia famiglia (tra l'altro questo socculento piatto non era presente nel vostro esile e piccolo menù che andrebbe bene ad un bambino appena nato date le quantità di cibo a malapena visibile). Spero di non incontrarvi mai più non solo in questa vita ma anche oltretomba, ingratti.

They are a bit hidden away. And one wouldn’t expect this kind of restaurant in the middle of this neighbourhood known for going out and partying. They serve contemporary food inspired by traditional recipes, a very enjoyable experience. Due to the closed-door policy, you are given a kind of privacy that is in contrast to the surroundings of the place.

Una "mosca bianca" nel bairro alto Nel quartiere della movida di Lisbona c'è un portone bianco. Suoniamo il campanello e ci accoglie un cameriere molto gentile. L'ambiente è molto curato ed elegante. Il ristorante offre diversi livelli di menù, dalle 30,00 alle 40,00 € a persona. Abbiamo preso il menù che ci consentiva, dopo una piccola deliziosa portata di benvenuto (ottime salse, olio super e crocchette deliziose) , di scegliere l'antipasto, il piatto principale e il dolce. Tutte le materie prime sono di qualità e gli accostamenti raffinati. Ottimo vino. Sicuramente i costi sono un po' sopra la media della città ma assolutamente adeguati alla qualità del cibo e del servizio. Fatevi un regalo: andate da Consensual!!

O primeiro grande jantar deste ano. A sala é intimista, um pouco simples demais para o jantar que se proporciona. O atendimento é eficiente e muito simpático. O menu de degustação apresenta vários pratos, que considero irem de muito bons a fabulosos, excepto num que considerei bom. Uma experiência a não perder.

Experiência única de harmonização entre um Menu surpreendente e Vinhos a descobrir, culminando com um pequeno momento de partilha com a Chef.

Um menu com alguma sofisticação e factores surpresa. Boa harmonização de vinhos e um serviço atencioso. Gostei particularmente do tártaro de bacalhau e do magret de pato com maracujá. Quanto às sobremesas estava um pouco renitente que fosse gostar - bolo de cogumelos e bombom de tremoços!? Para minha grande surpresa, gostei bastante. Definitivamente, é um restaurante com muitas particularidades e diferenciação. Gostei e recomendo facilmente!

This restaurant is phenomenal! It’s a hidden gem with an unbelievably talented chef, Paula Araujo. The menu is a tasting menu with or without wine pairing. My husband and I did the wine pairing, and were extremely happy. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef had a unique and exquisite selection of food and wine. At the end of the meal we asked to meet the chef. She came to our table and we shared a glass of Port wine. This is a must on your culinary experience in Lisbon!!

Reading others reviews of the restaurant I am shocked by what a very few have said - complaining that they could not bring their own food; complaining that they were not given a table when the restaurant was fully booked or the kitchen was closing at 10.30pm - ridiculous complaints. The food was as excellent, the service exceptional if you understand that this is an experience to be taken slowly and savoured and the restaurant itself is small and very cosy. Only difficulty was finding out how to get in but once you have done that you will not want to leave.

My wife and I went to this place last night. It is amazing, all of it. Fantastic food, perfect wine pairing and subtle surroundings. The service is courteous and avoids being too fussy. I think this may have been the best food I've ever tasted. The beef carpachio and cumin pannacotta were our particular favourites.
