It’s a very very nice restaurant. Very cosy and beautiful and the Portuguese food is outstanding.

Muito bom! Recomendo o bacalhau a largareiro e o Bacalhau com natas, ambos deliciosos. Preço justo e atendimento excelente. Ah, e porções fartas.

Nice location and very very friendly waiters but we waited 40min for our starter. We had the impression that the starter was just from the tin can, the mushrooms and other vegetables had all the same size and not really a natural taste but the potates were ok. The cocktailsauce of my shrimpcocktail tasted also just like the one at home from the tube in my fridge.

Tourist trap. Food is not worth the money. You get starters you did not order that appear on the bill later.

Found by chance while wandering the whitewashed streets when kids suddenly turned hungry. Turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our week-long visit. Generous homecooked-style seafood rice. Excellent octopus. The best choc mousse. Frequented by locals and not just tourists.

Excellente adresse. A la fois traditionnel et chaleureux de par la qualité du service, ce restaurant est définitivement une adresse à ne pas raté lors de passages à Lisbonne.

Sehr enttäuschend. Man bekommt ungefragt diverse Vorspeisen auf den Tisch gestellt, Schinken, Käse, Oliven, Möhrensalat, Brötchen. Auf der Rechnung stehen dann 22 Euro für etwas, was man nicht bestellt hat. Geschmacklich kein Hochgenuss. Wer will das schon?

Cuisine moyenne, on fait pareil à la maison. Le tenancier parle français, anglais, portugais... C'est chaleureux. Rien d'extraordinaire. Prix abordables.

We were looking for a homemade traditional Portuguese cuisine and we found this place with high scores in trip advisor; The starters are cheese and Ham that are given with a comment “if you don’t want to eat then don’t touch them” in each table. I ordered a caldo verde (4€ in the menu but I was charged 5€) as an entrace and it was so horrible: 2 little piece of chorizo inside and so watery. We took the grilled octopus (16,95€) and grilled sardines (11,95) both were not good and not fresh. However, the handmade butter and bread were very delicious and the owners are very friendly even when they push too hard to you to order more and more. The bill is given in handwritten paper which is not ok.
51,95€ in total and we just enjoy the wine, butter and bread.

La comida no está mal pero el servicio es súper lento. Tardaron 20m en recoger la mesa y cuando por fin lo hicieron, el postre tardó otros 30m

Recommended to us by a local. Bottom line: the food was underwhelming but the staff were pleasant and the wine was good.
Perhaps this is what most Portuguese restaurants are like but we left feeling deflated. If you want the best of Portuguese food then this isn't the place to go. Similarly I wouldn't travel to go here. However if you're walking past and want a quick bite to eat then this isn't a bad choice.
We read most of the reviews here and didn't really find one that matches our experience. It was OK... and that's it. Perhaps after a recommendation from a local we expected more and that's why we were disappointed.
We had the grilled octopus (well cooked but bland) and duck with rice (plenty of duck but dry and lacking flavour). Perhaps try the cubed pork, another table had that and it looked good.

We had to wait long time for a table, but the lovely waitress was coming every now and then to the pub we were in to let us know when our table would be available. But, oh, boy, the food was worth the wait! Cod to die for, pasteles de Belém homemade, amazing, the champagne sangria, no words... If the food was good, the service was even better!

Yeah that’s a no for me dog - Randy Jackson voice.. randomly stopped by here for dinner and everything that our group of 6 ordered was very mediocre - sangria, prawns, steak, salad, piri piri chicken. The beer was cold though.

バカリャウのクリームソースのオーブン焼きを食べました。美味しかったが、味がかなりしょっぱいので１人では半分も食べれなかった。ハーフがあったら他の料理も試せて良かった。でも店員さんは愛想もよく良い店だと思います◎

Très bon moment passé en votre compagnie.La morue (abraz et de natas) est juste une tuerie. Serveur super sympa. Bref que du bon! On a apprécié aussi le rouge conseillé avec nos plats respectifs.

Everything was delicious, starting from homemade bread and butter, to Octopus and shrimps. The service was super pleasant, atmosphere was intimate and non tourist. I recommend it for anyone who want to try authentic Portuguese food and hospitality! Prices around 12-15€ for main dish.

Pequeñito restaurante en El Bairro alto, el servicio normalito, el restaurante acogedor. Fui a picar algo rápido y las almonas al ajo y perejil estaban increíbles! Bastante lento, pero tampoco hay mucha prisa cuando se va de vacaciones

Très bonne table. Cuisine typique portugaise. Le couple de restaurateurs est très accueillant, le patron parle 5 langues parfaitement et vous fait la conversation et des blagues autant en français qu'en anglais etc. Les plats sont très copieux. Attention la morue est servie salée, très, comme l'aime les portugais. Les entrées et le pain sont en supplement si vous ne les voulez pas il faut les refuser et le plat est largement suffisant ! Très bon plat pour ma part accompagné d'un pichet de sangria au moins 3 Litres !

Good food, staff members speak different languages. Good priced but anyway rather pricey when compared to other Lisbon's tascos and restaurants. Amazing homemade warm pasteis, definitely a must-try.

Good local food and friendly staff. Unfortunately towards the end we had to wait forever for everything, even for paying. They burnt the dessert and had to redo. Nothing wrong with that, it happens, but instead of informing us they let us wait forever for it. In the end it was still burnt and not the best. Good start, sloppy end.
If they can improve this it can be a great, casual place to enjoy a tasty creamy bacalao. I wish them good luck.

Nada se compara a la atencion y el servicio que bridan los dueños de este lugar. Inigualables y auténticos. Visitando Portugal por primera vez, de suerte Lisboa mi primera ciudad, y mejor aun mi primer platillo en este restaurant tan fabuloso. Recomendado!! Parada obligatoria en Lisboa.

Very good cod and octopus dishes. They also serve ham, cheese, bread and garlic butter when you first sit down. They charge you for what you help yourself to. The garlic butter was very good. Our waiter could speak many languages. Would recommend.

We were in Lisbon for 7 days and this is the best restaurant we have been. Staff very friendly, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices but overall GREAT food and wine choice. I really recommend this place, the best in Lisbon!

Excellent food and extremely friendly service. The cod dishes were delicious. I'd highly recommend the freshly made sangria to drink and the chocolate mousse for desert. I'd highly recommend this place for a nice evening dinner.

service was weird. food was just okay. even though this isn't the resturants fault, someone was spitting from the balconies above our table. I was sad to be disappointed bc the place had a cute charm from the outside.

We've been in a good few restaurants this week, but this one is by far the best. Friendly, enthousiastic service and very good food.
If you like to go small & local, for a good price, go there!
