Beautifully designed hotel in a very central but quite street in Lisbon. A stones throw away from the city's best bars and restaurants. Welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. I took my partner for his 30th birthday and this place couldn't disappoint if it tried. We will be back for sure!

Great place i Bairro Alto. Even staying in the best area in Lisboa you dont wanna leave this place. This is the perfect chic botique hotel with a heartly cozy feeling. The lobby/kitchen area is the heart of the hotel and here you relax with vine or coffee in the afternoon and eat their superb breakfast in the morning.

Bon plan dans le quartier du baril alto : bien placé dans une rue calme à proximité des restaurants et bars du coin (jam bar à tester pour une soirée agréable avec un musicos), chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner bon et accueil très agréable (nous sommes arrivés assez tôt mais l'accès à la chambre nous a été donné et nous avons eu un verre de bienvenue) et ambiance calme et chaleureuse dans l'hôtel. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Das Janelas Com Vista. Staying in an historic building in the middle of the old city helped us to appreciate Lisbon. The property is in very good condition, very clean, and service was outstanding. Breakfast was very good as well, fresh and well-prepared. There are a lot of stairs to climb, especially if you stay on the top floor as we did, and that might be a concern for some folks.

Lovely room, lovely staff, the area better than I initially thought (I arrived on a Sunday and there was not much open but I didnt initially consider the fact that it was Sunday) and overall, a terrific experience.

Ich war geschäftlich 2 Tage in Lissabon und wurde sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Haus hat ein gute Lage und liegt trotz nähe zum Ausgehviertel ruhig. Das alte Haus wurde wie so viele andere in Lissabon schnell renoviert und in ein B&B verwandelt. Die Einrichtung entspricht der aktuellen Mode in Lissabon, aber durchaus nett gemacht. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, die Regendusche verdient einmal wirklich den Namen und das Frühstück ist überdurchscnittlich gut (bis auf den Kaffee). Über das langsame WLan kann man hinwegsehen. Warum ich jedoch nicht mehr wieder kommen würde ist die Hellhöhrigkeit. Wie die meisten der renovierten Altstadthäuser in Lissabon (und ich habe nun einge solche Unterkünfte erlebt) sind sie nett renovieri, aber Zimmertüren und Wände sind Sichtschutz, mehr nicht und alles über/neben und um einen herum bekommt man mehr als deutlich mit. Wen das aber nicht stört ist im Casa Das Janelas Com Vista gut aufgehoben.

This place was adorable! It was a proper Bed-and-Breakfast. The decor was great, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I would stay here every time I visit Lisbon. And it’s in a hip neighborhood of Lisbon, near some great restaurant and bar options. Can’t recommend it more.

This is a charming boutique hotel with plenty of positives. The rooms were quaint, the staff exceptionally helpful and the common area with breakfast was beautifully appointed in a sort of shabby chic style. Great location with an overall lovely ambiance. However, there were lots of stairs and no lifts (so not great for anyone with wonky hips/knees). Our room didn’t have a frig or tv and had a constantly dripping tap - understandably not an easy fix with old plumbing, but still an environmental concern that can’t be great for their cost management. All this said, I still highly recommend it.

She made us feel right at home, had the best attitude, always so inclined to help with anything we needed with a big smile. This is a lovely quirky hotel in Bairro Alto. Walking distance from the funicular down to Rossio. Some interesting bars & restaurants within 10 minute walk, plus one of Lisbons miradors.

Lovely cute little B&B in Príncipe Real, their common area is nice and their breakfast is very well done. Some room has a nice view of the river and the bridge. Small room with view room is so small you can’t open your luggage in case you are wondering.

Hôtel très sympa et très calme, personnel accueillant et détendu. Un lieu agréable pour passer quelques jours à Lisbonne. Cependant, les chambres ne sont pas très grandes, je regrette ne pas avoir eu de place pour poser nos valises. En revanche, la salle d'eau de notre chambre était très grande. La chambre est climatisé et très propre. Le petit déjeuner a volonté est copieux. Le gros bémol c'est la situation tout en haut du quartier du "Bairro Alto", mal desservi par les transports en communs. Après une journée de visite et de marche, il faut terminer par une bonne grimpette... (sinon les taxis ne sont pas très chers env 6,5 € de la place du commerce jusqu'à l'hôtel) Je mets 5 étoiles quand même, car nous y avons passé de bons moments.

This place was PERFECT! The service was lovely they would do anything they could to help whether that was a place for dinner or helping with getting our car unclamped because we parked in the wrong place! It’s convenient to the best parts of Lisbon but in a nice quiet street for you to rest.

Adorable decor and welcoming staff. Location is excellent but parking was a struggle and an extra cost. You dont really need a car in Lisbon but because we drove down from Porto, we needed a place to park. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Dit mooi centraal gelegen guesthouse is een absolute aanrader!! De receptie, in de gemoedelijke 'huiskamer', wordt dag & nacht bemand, en het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en vol goede tips. Wij hadden een vrij kleine kamer (nr 6), maar wel met een hele grote badkamer, met lekker grote handdoeken (over een verwarmde handdoekenhanger!) De kamer had helaas nagenoeg geen uitzicht. Maar er zijn kamers met een spectaculair uitzicht. De 'huiskamer' is een geweldige plek, met een hele leuke sfeer. Het ontbijt in die huiskamer is ontzettend uitgebreid, met veel vers fruit, en volop keus aan brood en beleg etc.. Op verzoek bakken ze een eitje voor je; heerlijk! In de buurt wemelt het van de bars en restaurants. Kan dit guesthouse iedereen aanraden!

An oasis in one of the most beautiful cities of the planet. The rooms are even more beautiful than they look at the website and the lounge is the perfect place to relax, have breakfast, and to talk to the very friendly staff about what to do and where to go.

We paid for a superior room but the bath didn’t work and we had to fill it up with the shower. The air con was not working and to cool the room down we had to open the windows which had a really loud generator outside going all night. We did not sleep very well at all which was the whole purpose of having a hotel room. Our city view was a view of a derelict building right outside our room which was not a nice sight. However the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

Shabby chic hotel/B&B in Bairro Alto. Modern spacious bathroom with excellent shower. Comfortable bedroom (although a double was two singles put together!) A TV is available upon request (apparently the owner is not a huge fan of them as default). Good breakfast spread and the staff are flexible about timings if asked in advance.

This B&B made our stay in Lisboa unforgettable. Right in the heart of the City, you are at a 5 minute walk from where everything is going on. Restaurants, bars and shops are just minutes away. The staff are very helpful and professional. The rooms are very clean and have been renovated in 2012 with style. The communal area downstairs is the place you'd want at home. Breakfast is a pleasure and the warm croissants fresh and tasty. A little tip about visiting City Centre, we advise buying the Lisboa Card which you can buy online for 19 euros and have printed at the two meeting points in the City. One of them is very close to the Hotel, just walk down to the Tourist Office at the Praça do Comercio. (Visit the audio/video guided tour of the City here). This card gives you many discounts and free rides on the public transports. there is a parking lot nearby. Here, for instance you get a 50% discount. We paid 6.50 euro instead of 13! Very reasonable indeed. We truly recommend this B&B, you will not be disappointed! Promised! Thank you ever so much!

The open plan reception, lounge, bar and kitchen is the highlight of this place. It's a lovely place to chill out and plan your day or enjoy a quick drink. The breakfast is delicious. The staff had so much time for every guest, recommending local places, giving directions and making reservations. Rooms are comfortable with much needed aircon and big bathrooms. I can't wait to go back.

Il posto ideale per visitare Lisbona, una volta capito come ci si arriva è ben posizionata e vicino alla zona più giovane della città. la struttura e molto particolare ma è questo a renderla bellissima; le stanza sono essenziali ma non manca assolutamente nulla. La colazione è eccellente e ben variegata; il personale poi è molto amichevole, non mancano mai di offriti qualcosa da bere e con piacere danno informazioni su dove andare e cosa fare. Situated close to the buzzing shopping streets of Lisbon but all of that is a distant memory as soon as you enter A Casa Das Janelas, very calming atmosphere in a stylish well designed hotel (much more like a home from home!). 5 star hotel service for 2 star hotel price. After a 5-10 minute walk from the Restauridores subway station, we were greeted with drinks and a warm welcome at check-in. Our double room was small but adequate and very clean. When I asked to borrow a cork remover, reception insisted I take some wine glasses too. The included breakfast buffet was top notch.

L'emplacement est parfait : tout le centre de Lisbonne accessible à pieds mais en même temps la rue où se trouve l'hôtel est calme et du coup on passe des bonnes nuits sans bruit. L'endroit est super bien décoré, très chaleureux, les chambres standard très sympa, salle de bain super, le petit déjeuner était diversifié et agréable. Bref un excellent rapport qualité prix. Une des jeune femme chargée de l'accueil est vraiment très sympa, dynamiqur et agréable ! Bref si on revient à Lisbonne, ce sera là !

Um Lissabon zu erkunden ist das Hotel perfekt im Zentrum gelegen, man ist schnell an der U-Bahn aber auch zu Fuß ist vieles zu erreichen. Das Hotel liegt direkt neben der Partymeile ist aber sehr ruhig. Unser Zimmer war hell und freundlich gestaltet aber klein (für uns ausreichend wir waren eh nur unterwegs und zum schlafen da). Das Bad ist gleich neben dem Bett so das alles zu hören war.Man sollte sich schon nah stehen .Vom Balkon hatte man einen fantastischen Blick über Lissabon. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreiche und mit Liebe hergerichtet, nach dem fünften Tag hätte ich doch gern mal nen anderen Belag gehabt, aber sonst alles sehr lecker.Die Mitarbeiter können alle gut englisch, sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und bemühen sich jede Frage zu beantworten.Ein perfekter Aufenthalt in Lissabon.

Kein gewöhnliches Hotel, aber sehr familiär und mit viel Charme eingerichtet. Perfekte Lage in Barro Alto, ruhig und zentral. Einziger Vermutstropfen: die Anreise mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und Koffer ist nicht ganz einfach.

Das Casa Janelas liegt in einer unscheinbare schmalen Strasse mit viel Graffiti an den Hauswänden und Kopfsteinpflaster. Obwohl die Kneipenmeile (die auf uns einen sehr netten Eindruck machte: nette Bars, viel live Musik, gute Restaurants...los geht es spät...vor 23.00 Uhr ist nicht viel los) nur wenige Strassen entfernt liegt, ist es sehr ruhig. Das Hotel selbst ist ein umgebautes Altbau Mehrfamilienhaus.Es ist sehr modern, individuell und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Betreiber verstehen etwas von Design. Das Frühstück war perfekt. Es gab immer frisches Obst und frisch (!)gepressten OSaft. Dazu verschiedene Marmeladen, Käse, Schinken, Müsli, Gurken und Tomaten...Rührei oder Spiegel oder Kochei gegen Aupreis (2-3 Euro). Gegessen wird im stylischen Aufenthaltsraum...kaum ein Stuhl gleicht dem anderen...Einen Kinderhochstuhl gab es auch. Insgesamt aber eher passend für Paare in der Altersgruppe 20-60 Jahre bzw. Freunde. Der Service ist überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir fühlten uns sofort sehr wohl. Unser Schlafzimmer war klein, das Badezimmer dafür sehr groß. Die Einrichtung stilvoll und besonders. Manchmal nicht ganz funktionell...die Nachtische haben z.Bsp. keine Schubladen und der Schrank war für uns bei 3 Tagen Aufenthalt ausreichend, bei längerem Aufenthalt wird es knapp. Einen Fernseher hätte es auf Bestellung gegeben. Wir haben aber verzichtet. Wer braucht im schönen Lissabon schon einen Fernseher?! W-Lan hatten wir ebenfalls. Funktionierte einwandfrei.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Ausgeh-Viertel, ist aber dennoch ruhig. Der Blick vom Zimmer auf den Tejo mit Brücke ist grandios; die Baustelle hinter dem Haus hat nicht sonderlich gestört, da vor allem am Wochenende auch gar nicht gebaut wurde. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet im hübsch eingerichteten Aufenthaltsraum ist sehr gut. Die Einrichtung ist schön zusammengestellt und hat einen besonderen, leicht alternativen Flair.

A wonderful night spent in a super comfortable bed! I highly recommend this hotel for a special treat. The staff were really friendly and spoke perfect English. We felt healthy and full after the breakfast. It was so easy to relax in the common space surfing the web before checking out.
