Cheap but the food was a bummer. Fries prepared in old fat, rubbery piece of meat fish with no bones removed.
The host was entertaining but as soon as it was 22h we were almost pushed out, we wanted to finish our bottle of wine at ease, but we were presented with the bill without asking for it. Even though its supposed to be open till 00h00.

Ottima cucina portoghese di tradizione. Consigliabile a chi cerca i sapori tipici di Lisbona. Eccellenti i piatti di pesce, bacalau e polipo alla griglia in primis. Ambiente raccolto, intimo e caratteristico, pochi coperti, servizio essenziale ma cortese e professionale. Prezzi decisamenti contenuti, rapporto conto/qualità eccellente. Il locale è veramente la piccola tipica trattoria che si cerca fuori del circolo dell'omologazione turistica, malgrado la splendida collocazione: é situato nel cuore del cuore del Bairro Alto, ideale per una sosta nel percorso a piedi alla ricerca dei caratteri profondi della città.

Magnífico, muy recomendable. Comida típica portuguesa casera, muy bueno el pulpo y bacalao a la brasa. El servicio muy agradable, salón pequeño por lo que llegar pronto o reservar... lo pasamos muy bien.

Petit restaurant bien sympathique. Les plats sont simples, mais excellents, de plus ils sont peu chère.

My octopus was frozen, rubbery & over-salted with Portuguese Typical boiled to death cabbage and carrot side vegetables. 10 Europe down the drain!
My husband’s codfish a bras was mediocre at best. Almost every other local joint you’ll eat better & cheaper.
I don’t understand how anyone gave this place more than 1-2 stars. No other diner’s meal looked appetizing either. Cute arches on the restaurant ceiling

So many better options in Lisbon for simple Portuguese food. Polvo tasted frozen, chewy, and over salted. Also served in pieces rather than a full tentacle. Cod with eggs whacked much flavor and very little cod. Oddly caught several small stones in the dish- not sure what that was about. Higher price for what you get. Locals must know to avoid- every table was seated tourist.

Le ratio qualité/prix est correct. Le service cependant laisse à désirer. Le propriétaire n’a pas souri une fois, n’a dit ni bonjour ni au revoir et a soupiré lorsque nous souhaitions payer. Paiement par carte non accepté.

Went with a friend and we had the best time. Some of the best octopus we've ever had. The house red wine was on point. Wine + potatoes and octopus 13 Euro....can't go wrong with that! Nothing fancy about it but just what we wanted. Highly recommend!

Comentei com a pessoa que me serviu, mesmo porque ela viu que deixei tudo no prato e a resposta que recebi foi que outros clientes que comeram
mais cedo, não reclamaram.
Ora...isso não é resposta que um estabelecimento que preza pela satisfação dos seus clientes, possa dar. A meu ver deveriam oferecer outro pedaço ou sugerir outra carne, no mínimo. Será que estou errada? É pedir demais???
Mas enfim...neste estabelecimento o lucro é mais valorizado que o cliente, pelo visto.
O pedaço de carne que EU recebi estava incomível.
Era visível que a carne não estava boa. Pena que não tirei uma foto para postar aqui. Deveria ter pedido que o cozinheiro provasse tb! Queria ver....

The food was satisfying here, and the service - perfect. The person serving us was quick, nice and always attentive.
I had grilled beef (done exactly as I asked) which came with french fries, rice and a bit of salad, quite tasty. For dessert I had a chocolate mousse that tasted really good.

Delicioso! Don't go to a touristy restaurant, instead, come here. Authentic Portuguese BBQ with large portions for a good price. Both the grilled chicken and the mixed grill were amazing.
The restaurant staff were very nice and the inside was very cozy with nice stone archways and classic decor. Recommended for visitors to Lisbon.

La relación con el cliente es muy buena. Nos pedimos un pez espada portugués y estaba buenísimo. La ración muy grande. A lo primero te hace dudar pero después te das cuenta que has acertado con el sitio. Vino de la casa muy bueno.

This place was recommended to us by a Lisbon local as a great “mom and pop” restaurant. The selection of grilled meats that we ordered was absolutely delicious, but our favorite dishes were the francesina (best that I had in Lisbon or Porto!) and the Bacalhau à Brás, which is just crazy delicious. The older gentleman who takes orders and brings out the food is very kind and didn’t mind our poor spoken Portuguese- he even brought us a free ginjinha (a tart cherry liquor that is a specialty of Lisbon) at the end of our meal. Don’t expect a fancy or fine dining experience, but if you want a great meal and to support a non-touristy local business filled with locals, you’ve must give it a try.
So be sure to stop by Grelha Do Carmo on your next trip to Lisbon - you be thrilled that you did!

Ein kleines Restaurant mit einem leicht chaotischen Gastgeber aber absoluter Top-Qualität der Speisen. Unsere Dorade war Top gegrillt und gewürzt. Trotzdem es sehr voll war, hat man sich herzlich um uns gekümmert. Absolute Empfehlung!

문어샐러드랑 그릴초리조, 프란세시냐?,감바스알하이요시켜서 다 맘에들었어요! 음료는 상그리아 그린와인으로 1/2jarro 시켰더니 와인잔으로 4잔나왔습니다.
제가 고수를 못먹어서 모든 음식에 고수빼달라는 말을 따로 포르투갈로 적어가서 보여줬어요.
사장님이 영어가 안되셔서 적어간게 신의한수였습니다! 거의 모든음식에 고수를 뿌려주세요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
감바스알하이요는 한국분들 많이드시는 올리브오일에 끓여나온 새우는 아니고, 살짝 매콤하고 시큼한 소스에 나왔는데 첨먹어보는 맛이라도 너무 맘에들었습니다!
제가 갔을때가 겨울인지라 손님은 저희 말고 한테이블 더 있었구, 가격이 저렴해서 메인 큰거말구 타파스만 여러개 시켜서 간단히 먹어도 좋을것같아요

This was a very nice place and the food was delicious! The service we received was also excellent, although they don't speak much nglish, they do have English translations in the menu. I would recommend the Bacalhau Lagareiro which I really enjoyed.

Menu do dia acessível que inclui entradas, prato, bebida, pão, sobremesa e cafe( portanto bastante completo) e pratos generosos. O serviço foi um pouco lento pois havia apenas uma funcionária encarregue do serviço às mesas e da caixa. No entanto vou voltar e recomendo.

El sitio está muy bien de precio y la comida riquísima. Probamos un plato de variedad de carnes a la parrilla muy bueno. La sangría de vino tinto lleva canela y me encantó. También probamos el licor de ginjinha, muy típico de allí. Es como de cereza.

We had the grilled octopus and squid. Both were very good but the squid was more tasty. We also had clams which was good and done in a garlic olive oil sauce. What was really good was the service by the manager who gave us a lot of attention and asked us if everything was ok even though he couldn’t speak good English. Homely place with great service.

C'était bon mais rien d'extraordinaire. La note globale est un peu surévaluée d'après moi. J'hésitais avec 3 et je pense que ça vaut 3,8. On mange bien, le serveur est très gentil et la salle est pleine. Le vin de la sangria n'est pas au niveau du restaurant.

Quiet tiny restaurant in the city center with big portions of various mostly grilled food. The waiter (perhaps even the owner) is a very kind man who barely speaks a word in English but has some charm. The prices are good, variety of meat with salad, rice and potato was 8.5€ and 10€ for a squid. Portions very big and delicious.

정말 최고에요!! 대구탕으로만 먹던 대구가ㅜ이리 럭셔리 맛날 수 있고 애피타이저로 시킨 문어샐러드도 너무 맛나네요~
고수 좋아하는편 아닌데도 전혀 거부감없이 먹었어요~~

Food came in an hour late. When asked the staff mentioned that it was because they had an issue with the griller. The fish was great though and price wise was very good value. Small space so a bit crowded but great food

Food is simple but great. Staff is friendly. Top location.
If you want bang for your buck go for the lunch menu (Prato do dia) on weekdays, which includes olives as entry, a main of fish or meat, a drink to go with it and coffee.

Nice little place with really good food. I recommend the mixed fish plate. It came with three different fishes and octopus (best octopus I've ever had). The bones were not removed from the fishes but they tasted great. The portions were really big and the food there was really cheap. It also came with a free shot of ginjinha!

Admittedly, a few surprise meats on the platter together with authentic Portuguese cheeses.
Reasonably priced for its environs (anywhere near the Carmo convent tends to pluck hard on a tourists' pocket) and customer service was good and cordial.
The space is tight, but for what you get, it's a quasi local experience.
Would recommend.

Sitio muy recomendable, comimos especialmente bien y a buen precio. El pulpo riquísimo, el pez espada portugués delicioso y la ensalada de pulpo exquisita con un toque a cilantro.

Despues de haber realizado reserva por el Tenedor, llegamos al restaurante y estuvimos esperando durante 10 minutos sin que nadie nos dijera nada ni nos quisiera atender.
Respecto a la comida no puedo opinar, en cuanto al trato del personal nulo, ya que ni nos miraron a la cara durante todo el tiempo que esperamos dentro.

We were hungry and found this little hidden gem by chance. We ordered their daily menu and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients, bread and olives. Come here if you want local authentic home made food. We were one of the few tourists in there during lunch time, so a great signal that the food was great enough for locals too

Excellente adresse. Très bonne cuisine. Les plats de poissons sont délicieux. Même le fromage (queijo) est meilleur qu'ailleurs. Le patron est très sympathique et n'essaye pas de vous "vendre" quoi que ce soit. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable, surtout pour un quartier touristique.
A ne pas manquer.

Accueil très agréable et sans chichi. La jeune femme qui nous accueille parle très bien le français, c'est un plus. Très bonne cuisine ( poulet à la braise un peu sec). Dans l'ensemble nous sommes très satisfaits pour un prix très abordable.

Comida espectacular. Recomiendo el bacalao a la brasa y las sardinas. Unas raciones muy grandes y el personal muy amable. Hablan español. De lo mejor que probamos en nuestra estancia en Lisboa. El precio muy económico. Sardinas, pulpo,bacalao, pan y agua solo 30€

Comida típica portuguesa muy buena y a buen precio.
El pastel de chocolate está buenísimo y el de coco es excelente.
Nos invitaron a un chupito de ginjinha que es el mejor que he probado en Lisboa (y probé unos cuantos).
El trato por parte del personal es inmejorable, muy agradables y atentos.
Desde fuera el local no parece gran cosa, pero no hay que dejar llevarse por las apariencias. La próxima vez que vaya a Lisboa, repetiré sin duda alguna.

Local bastante acolhedor. Um dos muitos poucos em Lisboa que mantém a verdadeira tradição portuguesa. Desde da comida à disposição e arquitetura do espaço.
Staff bastante profissional e atencioso.
A comida é excelente, pratos bem servidos, com bastante diversidade na escolha e com tudo disponível. Para além de ainda terem uns excelentes pratos de tapas tipicamente portuguesas. Para quem quer passar um bom serão à tarde.

Après deux journées à Lisbonne et de très bons restaurants mais un peu cher, enfin une belle adresse avec la simplicité, la quantité la gentillesse et surtout la qualité.

La comida es muy buena y todo es hecho a las brasas. Por 11€ comes y te tomas algo y todo muy fresco. El chico que atiende es un crack y los dueños muy simpáticos y atentos.

Klein, sehr lecker, moderate Preise (4€ für den halben Liter Wein, sehr süffig ;)) und die Kellnerin sprach ziemlich gut Englisch und erklärte uns geduldig was genau all die Nachtischsorten waren.
Very nice small restaurant, a big „thank you“ to the friendly waitress.

Sitio familiar con trato excelente y bacalaho. Pedimos bacalao a bras y bacalao a "largueiro"...no se cual decir que estaba mas bueno. La decoración no es lo mas bonito, pero es lo mismo cuando lo que vas es a comer bien...y además, barato!

Restaurante pequeno mas acolhedor, com atendimento bastante simpático!
Visitei este local numa sexta feira à noite (para jantar) e fui num grupo de oito pessoas, sendo que algumas já conheciam o estabelecimento.
Só tenho a dizer bem! Da comida ao atendimento, foi tudo muito bom!
Comi uma sopa alentejana que estava muito boa! Os pratos, também estavam bem confecionados! Terminei com uma mousse de chocolate que estava uma maravilha!
Quando for novamente à baixa, já sei onde comer!!

Muy buen sabor en la comida, pero los platos no son abundantes. Nos cogimos un plato de pollo y otro de picanha, el pollo traía una alita y un muslo(1/4) y lo demás arroz y ensalada. Excelente el sabor de la ternera y las alubias

Really good with cosy atmosphere that the waitress gave suggestion to have the cod fish frying with chips which is excellent and the chips become my rice!
Next table got the octopus that I heard the guest really liked it.
Should come again before leaving Lisbon.

Con encanto, quien busque lujo, que se abstenga. Sin prisas, las comidas se hacen en el momento, sardinas exquisitas. El pulpo esta muy bueno, lo aconsejo. Al final con la sangría un punto de alegría. Según mis acompañantes todo muy bueno y buen trato , se aconseja comer aquí. Con un plato quedas muy satisfecho.

Bueno y barato. Lugar pequeño con encanto. Comida sencilla bien preparada. Lo en contratos por casualidad y cenamos muy bien. Recomiendo el vino verde de la casa y el bacalao al braz.

Locale un po' piccolo ma accogliente. Ci ha servito un signore gentile che si è sforzato di parlare italiano e che si è fatto capire benissimo. Abbiamo mangiato grigliata mista di pesce e bevendo sangria, in tutto abbiamo pagato meno di 15 euro a testa. Consigliato
