Zeer aan te raden. Spreken geen woord Engels maar met handen en voeten kom je er wel. Aardige bediening en neen zeker de kip piri piri. Ook de zalm is aan te bevelen. Zeer betaalbaar.

from outside the restaurant does not look encouraging, but if you stay, you will not overcome it ... the food is very tasty and everything is fresh. The grilled fish is one of the best I've eaten. The orange cake is delicious and the service is very kind and friendly. I recommend 100% to everyone ,is very tasty and cheap for me 5 stars

This isn’t a very fancy restaurant but the food is excellent. The service so wonderful. I don’t usually have desert, but mix the chocolate mousse and the orange tart and you will be in 7th heaven.

Ha sido un pequeño descubrimiento. No es un sitio espectacular, sino uno familiar y acogedor. La comida, sin grandes pretensiones en su presentación, es casera y preparada con gusto y cariño. La camarera muy agradable y atenta. Probamos las costillas y un pescado de cuyo nombre no me acuerdo, pero que estaba buenísimo. La tarta de naranja también buenísima. Todo casero y rico. Un lugar auténtico.

Super tasty grilled fishes (2 pieces of fair sized mackereles) for around 7-9 euro including salad. 1l of house wine 7€. Right now I'm full and drunk so there is nothing left to do except going to see the beautiful city of Lisbon!
PS: they accept credit cards.

wow, the best sardines i've ever had!! waiter is very polite and positive! place is clean, perfectly located with cute tables outside and food is amazing. for 2 we paid almost 24 eur, we had two main dishes, 1l of home wine and water. highly recommend this place

La verdad que me sorprendió muy gratamente. Tasca muy familiar y típica en lisboa, comimos un atún riquísimo y unas sardinas estupendas a un precio excepcional. Te encuentras extranjeros pero a su vez lisboetas disfrutando de la comida en la terraza en medio de la calle o en la pequeña sala interior. Sin duda lo recomiendo como por ser original de la zona y por un trato excelente.

Excelente relación calidad precio. Pescado grelhado muy rico, fresco y en su punto. Nada que ver con los restaurantes comerciales de alrededor. Una muy buena elección.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro and lived in Lisbon from 2004-2012. This restaurant is a true gem between the trendy and fancy new restaurants that popped up in Lisbon the last years. Authentic and delicious Portuguese cuisine with fair prices, nice service and amazing location.

Nice hidden place on Barrio Alto... Homemade food for a reasonable price. Excellent grilled fish. We had three main dishes (sardines, sea bass and bream fish) , 1L of wine and three desserts for 36 Euro. Great quality-price ratio... I'd highly recommend the orange tart, it's just awesome.

Trattoria a conduzione familiare, frequentata soprattutto da locali. Prezzi modici, ottimo il pesce, buonissime le lumache alla griglia. La consiglio!

Simple and very good home-made food. Meat is fried in open fire. Cheap. Chicken with fries and rice, cheesecake, and coffee costed just 12 euro.
The old host barely spoke any English but was very friendly. We absoloutely loved the place and will be coming here often.

Buen sitio para ir a comer. Cocina casera y productos típicos. Calidad precio excelente. Buen trato y atención.Buena opción si quieres sentirte como en casa. Bacalao a la brasa buenísimo. Volveremos en la próxima visita a Lisboa.

We had to send our doradas back, but were still charged for one of two. The bread costs 1.75 € not 0.35 € as in the menu. However, the waitress was friendly.

No tengas prisa si te sientas a comer o cenar, bastante lentos. La atención muy amable, te ayudan a elegir y aconsejan. Las sardinas muy ricas con un sabor muy bueno a brasas. El Entrecosto y la Mista de carne bastante normales. Postre nos aconsejaron el flan casero y todo un acierto, muy rico

Una piacevole scoperta. Siamo capitati qui per caso, perché altri locali della zona erano pieni. Locale rustico, ma cucina ottima. Abbiamo mangiato una cernia alla griglia buonissima e anche i dolci erano ottimi. Prezzi buoni

The olives were like 2 years old, bacalhao was so salty we couldnt eat it and with nearly any old green leaves. The food overall for both of us was unfresh. It was a huge disappointment, do not understand those wonderful reviews

We choose this restaurant because we saw the great reviews, I'm a restaurant goer, and I have to admin this was the worst restaurant experience I had in years. We ordered, bacalao, it was so salty, that we could not eat more than 3 bites, when we told it to the waitress, she just said a sorry, and no compensation. I mean, just look at the picture I uploaded.. I have to mention the "salad" as well, that was some tasteless old green, and 2 slices of tomato.. can't advise more-avoid this place!

This place is hidden gem - the best grilled fish restaurant in this neighbourhood. The fish is super fresh. As soon as you order, the cook starts grilling from the scratch. It takes some time getting your food ready which means you don’t get your food within 5-10 minutes but it’s reasonable time, just imagine when you cook your fish at home. You can also feel the full charcoal flavour which brings fresh fish flavour. The interior, exterior, and presentation of the food are not good but once you taste the foods, you will love this place. If you are looking for legit grilled-fish place, this is it. This is the absolute best restaurant in Lisbon.

Came here following the glowing reviews. Was on the hunt for an authentic, no frills, family owned restaurant and this ticked all the boxes. Had a very pleasant dinner, great food (ok soup of the day, the rest excellent - grilled sea bass, grilled sardines, flan for dessert), amazing and friendly service. Great value for money. A definite recommendation.

Trato humano de 10, comida exquisita y precios acorde a la calidad. Es un poco "cutre" el sitio, pero como en España: cuanto más "cutre" más auténtico y atento. Muy recomendable

Ristorante molto rustico. Un po' troppo. Il pesce era buono, ma un po' troppo sbruciacchiato per i miei gusti per essere pesce arrosto. Servito con due patate bollite, qualche foglia di insalata e due fette di pomodoro tagliate piuttosto male. Il prezzo è basso, ma per lo stesso prezzo a Lisbona è possibile mangiare meglio e un po' più curato. Si può migliorare

Restaurante pequeño con comida casera, los caldos muy sabrosos y recomendables las sardinas y el bacalao, acompañados por patatas asadas de guarnición. La camarera muy atenta. También bueno el café.

There's nothing typical.portuguese in the menu, the offer is limited to grilled meat or fish dishes.
I ordered the mix grilled fish and got a platter of leftovers, i.e. fishtails, head, backbone and a sardine which had not been gutted so it tasted bitter and just bleah! One piece was undercooked and i had to ask to have it cooked for a bit longer.. and again it turned out it was a.bony part with just a bite of actual meat. For 13 Euros it was an offense.
The soup of the day was also bland, chickpeas straight from the tin.
Beer wasn't cold and the waitress forgot to bring the bread...and overall she wasn't bothered to be helpful.
I don't understand how it got such outstanding reviews, maybe the meat or other fish dishes are worthy.... in my opinion There's definitely better quality and quantity at the same price elsewhere in Lisbon. Won't go back for sure.

This is a family run restaurant serves simply delicious food at reasonable price. We stayed in an Airbnb across the street and we ate here three times while we are here. Every time we were satisfied with the food, charcoal grilled fish or meat, and service, and the adorable cats that kept my 2yrs old daughter entertained.

Abbiamo trovato per caso questo ristorante.
I prezzi rispetto ai ristoranti vicini sono molto competitivi e se non avete molte pretese sulla aspetto del locale ne vale proprio la bene abbiamo mangiato molto bene e speso pochissimo.
