Apartments generously proportioned and spotlessly clean as was all of the facilities.Dont go in March April and May as mainly catering for stag and Hen do's. Although all were well behaved not an atmosphere for families or couples during these months

We stayed in a one bed apartment which was a good size. I did find the room a bit cold, maybe just time of year, but there was plenty of blankets. The pools looked lovely, and the place was very clean. It would be a good 20min walk to the town. Taxi only a €5.
We were asked for a €50 deposit each on arrival, make sure you keep your receipt you don't get your money back unless you have it.

Trato muy bueno. Instalaciones adecuadas al precio de las habitaciones. Espectaculares vistas desde las habitaciones de la última plaza con una terraza impresionante. Equipadas con cocina y dos habitaciones es además de un amplio salón. Posee tres piscinas, una de ellas climatizada. El ruido de algunos huéspedes en una de las píscnas icuando estuvimos hospedados fue el único punto negativo, además de estas en una zona algo alejada del centro turístico de la ciudad. Recomendado para ir con niños.

Dont expect to sleep pass 8 am because the cleaning ladys will start cleaning st 7:30 moving all the furniture around not having any respect for the guests and I promise you wont be able to sleep, when is not the cleaning ladys is the construction withing the hotel or across the street where there is a full bulding in construction, they start with the noise at 8:30 every day, dont expect receptionist to understand or even care, I lived in the apartment for over 6 month and I wouldn't recommend this to any one, has literally been hell, I work on USA time so i dont get home until 3 am and there has not been a day that I was able to sleep for at least 8 hours, now Im leaving because I just cant take it no more.
Is far from the city if you dont have a car, and well better if I dont say anything about maintenance of the pools and common areas. Telephone in the room doesnt work, chicken is old and a lot of things dont work, no ac so prepare to die on sweat, awfull pillows, and the worst drunk people opening my apartment door thinking is theirs because they are waisted, DAILY!!

Fantastic value spotlessly clean small kitchen with all you need,staff are wonderful and the bus down to town is just outside be aware in the hight of summer there can be stag and hen party's,as we we went in February 7 days of sunshine.
One note in can be expensive to eat out as the pound is so weak,if you can eat we're the locals eat far better price the whole holiday including flight for two people was £280 from on the beach

No acostumbro a dar malos comentarios. Aunque el lugar es precioso y tiene buenas instalaciones. Le falta mucho mantenimiento.. la chica de recepcion estaba sola un sabado por la noche. Hubo muchisimo ruido en la habitacion hasta muy tarde en la madrugada. No fue mi mejor experiencia luego de viajar casi 400km

Very clean and basic but great base for exploring if you have a car however it seemed a little out from the main area and the beach so could be a little isolated. Great value for money.

Local tranquilo fora da confusão do verão. Atendimento simpático, habitações amplas e com o indispensável, na cozinha, na casa de banho e nos quartos. Sem ar condicionado, aquecimento e isolamento térmico fracos. Piscina e jacuzzi limpos. Colchões novos mas excessivamente macios para quem sofre da coluna. Localização próxima do centro mas suficientemente distante para não haver confusão. Fácil acesso à zona, estacionamento próximo e fácil de encontrar. Mas isto no mês de novembro.

Basic but nice apartments, we stayed here 10 nights, 3 great pools, 2 outside, I inside with Jacuzzi. Bus stop to take you to old town just outside the apartment. Really had fun here

It is what it is....3 star prices for 3 star accomodation, but I cannot fault it. It is clean, it is wholesome and ideally located as a base for the Strip....10 to 15 minute walk away and Old town in the other direction being 15 to 20 minute walk. Taxi to the old town range from 5.90 euros at night and 4.80 euros in the day. All staff we have come into contact with are friendly and a lot of things can be done on site. Two outdoor pools and an indoor pool complete with gym and jacuzzi. Mini golf and tennis courts compliment this quite nicely and a bar and shop on site for the basics. Downside is the noise, but this is not the hotel's fault, but that of the other guests!!

Apartamentos MT acolhedores mas sem ar condicionado , tem os utensílios necessários pra passar uns dias .
Alhumas zonas do apartamento precisam de ser remodelas, era evidente o uso dado.
As piscinas são um ponto forte neste hotel mas os apartamentos são pouco insonorizados.
Na recepção o check in foi MT pouco acolhedor , senti que me estavam a fazer um favor .
No check out a simpatia da recepcionista e a sua disponibilidade destacaram se .

Clean. Good choice of pools. Sits between strip and old town at top of hill but attracts stags and hens so be prepared for some late night noise. Attempt to drain every cent from you though .. drinks 2.20 for a can of coke/fanta etc so in warm weather expensive for a family as although self catering they wont let you bring your own to the pools. They have minibus.. but dont use as a taxi is cheaper! Such is the extent of their greed. Didnt spoil holiday though and evryrging else is ok.. you dont have to spend anything with them at tge end of day!

The apartment was clean and well maintained. The downside was the party of "Stags" who were rowdy which made us very disinclined to use the pool, coffee bar and bar. The local transport facilities were excellent which made up for the noise as we could escape

Apartamento nornal, os armários e eletrodomésticos não são muito novos e a vista não é excepcional. Para os preços/qualidade praticados em Albufeira está bom.
3 picinas uma delas coberta, campo de tenis voleibol e basquetebol.

Hotel mal explorado, tem condições para mais mas estrelas mas a nível de animações noturnas, bares parece de 2 estrelas, pararam no tempo, as camas são desconfortáveis colchão velho e rijo, almofadas onde a esponja já está toda desfeita, etc...os quartos são bons e espaçosos a cozinha e suficiente o espaço envolvente e agradável e as piscinas também

A precisar de algumas obras. Mas com condições para passar uns dias agradáveis de forma económica. É de lamentar o atendimento na recepção do hotel, não tenho nada contra pessoas de outras etnias. Se alguém que for dono e vir este comentário, lembre se que a recepção é a cara e a imagem da empresa, não parece que a vossa seja muito boa.

O apartamento em que fui mais feliz em Albufeira. O atendimento, a limpeza, as facilidades etc foram todas do melhor. O apartamento é o que mostra nos folhetos. Quero agradecer especialmente á D. Vania e D. Filomena por toda a assistência e simpatia. Regressarei em breve.

A câmara de albufeira tem conhecimento à 10 anos e não faz nada.

been a few times.ok for cheap hol.but had to be out the room at 11am flight back wasnt till 9pm and to keep the room on so our lugguage was safe and not just in a shed that anyone could mess with,we asked how much would it cost to keep the room on for a few hours so we could have shower before travelling back ,and they wanted €96 which i thought was expensive as there was only about 10 people there between the 3 appartment blocks the 1st wk in june 2018 ☹

Los apartamentos son grandes y bonitos, no son lo más moderno del mundo, pero para unos días no está mal. Dispone de cocina con todos los utensilios y salón con sofás cama, además de un cuarto de baño bien equipado.
El complejo de los apartamentos está muy mal situado, teniendo que recurrir al coche o transporte público para moverte (playa, restaurantes, bares, supermercados...)
Dispone de un bar/pub para beber y la única comida que sirven son pizzas para subir al apartamento y tiene una tienda de productos básicos y picoteo muy pequeña pero NO dispone de restaurante propio.

Fica bem localizado, afastado da barulho da zona da Oura, no entanto próximo o suficiente para se deslocar até lá a pé. Fica numa zona alta de Albufeira, com vista para o oceano Atlântico. Tem um ótimo restaurante perto que se chama Restaurante O Lusitano. A piscina fica a poucos metros da recepção do hotel. Tem parque de estacionamento privativo, fica perto do Skate park e das piscinas municipais. Tem supermercado Pingo Doce logo ali junto à rotunda das Minhocas.

Apartamento muito bom não tenho que reclamar... Não gostei do atendimento na recepção, houve muita falta de educação parte da recepcionistas sendo muito grosseira por a simples pergunta... Como estou a trabalho gostaria muito de voltar com minha família, fui perguntar valores e vagas, foi totalmente grosseira.. Não sei o nome dela porque sai da recepção com tanta raiva e para não discutir com a infeliz prefiro falar com outro funcionário..
MAS NÃO DEIXO DE RECOMENDAR, não é por causa de uma funcionária incompetente que eu não vou voltar, isso foi agora que aconteceu (18/07/2018 as 23h)
Agora espero que a administração do hotel veja que é a funcionária e resolva isso para não prejudicar o hotel....

Voor de prijs van het appartement een erg goede kwaliteit appartement met 2 grote buitenzwembaden, een klein buitenzwembadje, een overdekt zwembad en een jacuzzi. Een ontbijt inbegrepen en erg goed eten en drinken in het restaurant bij het zwembad. Vriendelijk personeel, elke nacht een bewaker tegen ongewenste mensen en schoonmakers die elke dag komen schoonmaken en eventueel vuil meenemen. Het enige minpunt is de wifi, die is wel gratis, maar niet goed.

If you need a bed and a toilet and no frills this place is perfect for stag and hen do's. It's not glamorous but for the price it's a bargain.
It's quite far out so need to get a taxi or a 20 mins walk to the strip but uber cost €2.50 and it's dead cheap or if there's a group you can pay the hotel €10 for them to take you in the mini bus.
If your noisy people be careful as they're stricked on noise

O apartamento surpreendeu pelo área e por todas as comodidades que dispõe. Kitchenette super completa com pequenos eletrodomésticos tais como torradeira, varinha mágica, micro-ondas, frigorífico, fogão, forno e jarro eléctrico. Sala com dois sofás camas e mesa de refeições. Garrafa de água de cortesia. Duas varandas com mobiliário de exterior e estendal. Casa de banho com banheira, produtos de higiene pessoal e secador de cabelo. Roupeiro no hall. Quarto bastante grande com ar condicionado, generoso roupeiro com tábua e ferro de engomar. O quarto também tem varanda, neste caso, com vista para a piscina. No hotel há máquinas de jogos, multibanco, máquina de tabaco, máquina de café, mini mercado e diversas zonas de estar com sofás. A utilização do jacuzzi, sauna e piscina interior é gratuita.

The apartments need serious updating. the gym is definitely improperly fit with high risk equipment and the equipment was poorly maintained and filthy!The buildings are equipped with several table tennis and pool tables and several swimming pools which are very convenient for families...

Just returned home and had a great time with my husband and two sons (13 &15). The rooms were clean and specious, the staff were kind and welcoming , loved the pool area and found it very family friendly, the stag and hen parties were no bother at all, sticking the the upper pool but also very respectful of the other guests
We will be returning and would recommend Janelas de mar, thank you for a fantastic holiday

We've stayed for a weekend. The members of the staff were awful to us, very rude. The waiter at the swimpool bar didn't want to serve us and went to clean the tables outside saying that we weren't that important and had to wait. One of the receptionist in the evening told us that if we didn't speak Portuguese he didn't have to speak our language even when they were the staff working for a hotel and they have several nationalities staying there ( we tried Spanish and english) The room was very good but wasn't clean at all, the only came to change the towels, nothing else.
I don't recommend it at all. Very rude people working there, they didn't apologise or say anything about our complaint. I asked for a complaint form and they didn't want to give to us, they gave us a "questionnaire " which isn't what I asked for.
They asked for 50 euros deposit per person and they look for any tiny thing in the room to keep it! Be careful! We were lucky as we took pictures of everything in the room before we left. In conclusion...very disappointing and rude staff!

Trato pésimo del personal,las piscinas pésimas y los camareros dejan mucho que desear ya que no nos quiso atender en el bar de la piscina porque era más importante coger 2 vasos de plástico se fuera que atender a 6 chicas,ya que nos dijo que era más importante recoger afuera cuando no tenía a nadie que atendernos a nosotras,nos pareció súper feo y encima pedimos la hoja de reclamaciones y nuestra sorpresa es que no tenían,que si queríamos un cuestionario PATETICO NO VUELVO NUNCA ALLI ni aunque me paguen.NO LO RECOMIENDO

Horrible experiencia, gracias a los trabajadores. La educación brillaba por su ausencia al igual que la limpieza. Nos trataron con la punta del pie y eso que estuvimos poco tiempo por que teníamos muchas actividades organizadas fuera del hotel, decidimos poner una hoja de reclamación y no nos la dieron. Puedo calificarla como la peor experiencia en hoteles en mi vida.

No volveré nunca más. Mal trato del personal a los clientes, mal educados, desagradables, te miran mal. Fuimos un grupo de amigas y ha sido una experiencia pésima. El chico de la recepción nos dijo que si no sabíamos portugués él no tenía porque saber español (increíble pero cierto, un trabajador de hotel y turismo tiene que saber idiomas), el camarero de la piscina nos dijo que no nos atendía porque tenia cosas más importantes que hacer (recoger unos vasos de una mesa es más importante que atender a los clientes). Todo pésimo, te piden 50€ por persona de fianza e intentan quedarse con ella al finalizar la estancia. Limpieza mediocre, nos encontramos en el apartamento suciedad de huéspedes anteriores, vinieron a limpiar y no cambiaron ni la basura del baño. Al terminar la estancia pedimos una hoja de reclamación y no tienen, sólo te dan un cuestionario que acabaría en la trituradora de papel. No nos pidieron ni disculpas por el mal trato. Si eso nos pasó en dos días no quiero imaginar más tiempo allí, un infierno. No volveré nunca más.

Really nice views from he apartments. Plenty of sunbeds around the two outdoor pools. And the indoor pool is just as nice but out of the sun. The reception staff are really nice and friendly. The cleaners come in nearly ever day to take your rubbish. They is also a little shop down by reception if you run out of the basics. Which is very handy to have. Bit the only downside toy his hotel is if you like the beach you will have to walk about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the beach as you have to go through all off the houses. But a few minutes down the road and you are at the main road what is what the strip

Apartamento com pouca limpeza, facas quebradas, pratos, etc. Nunca tinha visto uma sanita dentro do chuveiro... Ouviram Bem... 1 sanita dentro do chuveiro... Muitos canais de televisão sempre tremendo. As vistas dos quartos são horríveis!

Para fazer check in estive mais de 30 mn para depois me dizerem que só teria quarto pronto às 15:00 quando cheguei às 12:00.
Sugeriram me então que poderia guardar as malas num espaço exterior e deram me a chave para as ir guardar.
Quando lá cheguei eu poderia aceder às malas de qualquer hóspede porque não havia nenhum Control mas apesar disso não cabia nem mais uma mala nesse espaço.
Baratas mortas na piscina interior.
Hóspedes Ingleses a fazer barulho a qualquer hora sem qualquer chamada de atenção.
Antipatia do staff para além de grande parte do mesmo não falar português

Good location and what you need for a stag weekend.
I wouldn't expect luxury or anything too special, but if your going to Albufeira for a party weekend or quick few days away then this is good enough to meet requirements.
Basic beds, have your own kitchen area and pots/pans, cutlery etc all provided, so it makes for a good self catering place too.
Again for the price it's adequate and it's only a 10-15 minute walk from the main strip.
There's a good supermarket nearby (10 mins walk) called Pingo Doce so you can stock up what you need from there too.
With three pools (2 outdoor and 1 indoor, they are fine to use too)
Costs around 5 euros if you take a taxi from the main strip but it's close enough to walk too. Around 6 euros to be taken to the beach or again around a 20 minute walk.
Worth it especially for stags where you need somewhere to sleep and plan to be out and about, but probably not if your looking for something a little more luxury or special.

Great location, pools and jacuzzi are a welcome retreat. The 24h shop is only open whenever the staff feel like it. The building feels very old and the lifts are temperamental. But for the price it's well worth it. Close walk to town center. Very cold bedroom, plugs are difficult to find. Power kept tripping in kitchen.

Un apparthôtel très bien tenu avec un personnel accueillant, des quipements à disposition des clients, et des aapartements sobre mais propres et en bon état; situé en haut de la ville, 20 mn à pieds du centre. Poue ce prix, l ne faut pas hésiter.

baignoire ayant été repeinte donc la crasse reste sur la peinture
je me lavais à la piscine... chasse d'eau coulant en permanence

Can get very noisy at night because of young groups coming back in the early hours and carrying on the party. I was pleased to get home so I could get some rest! It's is clean but dated and the staff are very helpful hence the two stars.

- Apparthotel un peu vieillissant, pas de WiFi dans les chambres, emplacement pas très proche de la mer, comme lit nous avons eu dans le salon deux canapés séparés.
+ piscine bien entretenue, parking gratuit.

Me and my partner have just spent 14 days here and before we arrived we were bit apprehensive about couple of reviews we read but just goes to show never make a judgement on someone else's review we had a 1 bed apartment with two balconys with pool and sea view accommodation very clean and modern staff on site all very friendly and helpful particularly Jorge in coffee shop what a delightful happy person he is An made our mornings the complex has lots to offer and we are already looking to book up again next year for 2 weeks again thank you to all staff at janela do mar for making our holiday here a unforgettable one

This is a lovely place can't understand the negative reviews yes it is a little walk to the old town and New Town but it's not that far and if your staying by the small pool Jorge who works behind the bar there is amazing rooms are big enough for four we stayed in a one-bedroom apartment very clean and you get what you pay for so don't be expecting five star luxury only down side was the on site shop was really expensive apart from that it was good

We had a great family stay at Jalenas Do Mar and would be happy to visit this complex again. For the price we paid, it was a bargain. We spent one week there in August 2017. Two adults, two teens and a 9 year old. Although the resort is very touristic, we had no problems in finding great Portuguese restaurants. The upside of the busy resort is that it is easy to take a walk and find entertainment each night. The hotel has entertainment most nights - its fine/quaint and enjoyable - not in your face. The Sunday parrot show was rammed and looked great - we missed it sadly. We had huge fun singing along with Carlos one night. Libertos a high-end luxury club (adjacent to roundabout dead centre of strip) has brilliant daily artists. Ramos had a standout rock covers band one nightHuge rooms and kitchen with everything you need. We were on floor 5, sea facing with beautiful views of the resort and sea from our two balconies. The weather was great for us night and day. Market at hotel good for most things. We had a hire car so easy to drive to nearby Aldi or LIDL for supplies. Nearby Pingo market near bottom of hill too.Stand out memories are the great staff. All friendly, professional with smiles. An English stag party arrived one day and slowly became very loud and rowdy poolside. The owner personally came and explained that this was not acceptable and if they persisted, they would be leaving. The lads were then gents for the remainder of their 3-day stay.

Rooms were clean, Cleaning service was thorough and every day. Location could be better (closer to the strip, old town, beach, but a supermarket was nearby), but this was not a problem because the hotel employees can order a taxi for you, which is pretty cheap.

Large apartments with plenty of space. 2 great pools an plenty of other wee activities. Friendly staff. It is in the middle of both old an new town so if u dont want a wee walk or to pay taxis it may not be ideal. But we find the 15min walk into new town with pram no problem an would def not put us off returning. This actually worked to advantage also as location being out of the way a bit meant it was quiet. So far so good...

Great place for holidays! 2 swimming pool, 1 extra for kids, 1 other indoor (not heated), sauna, fitness place, ping pong tables all over the place, bar, WiFi, small Luna park, mini golf available, jacuzzi. Everything you need ta have nice time. Very noisy though!! You can hear everything from that other appartements, even floors appart! If you are looking for quite holidays, the is is definitely not the place, better for groups then for family, at least in July and August.

All very clean, and staff very friendly. Facilities are fairly basic, although good for the price. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from most of main bars and restaurants, and a 20 minute walk from the old town.

Lo mejor el precio solo estuve una noche por lo q no puedo opinar mucho por ejemplo la piscina interior cierra a las siete y no pudimos probarla. Está bien sin grandes lujos , apartamento espacioso estuvimos dos adultos y tres y niños y genial , limpio , lejos de playa para ir andando aunq el mar se ve desde las ventanas a lo lejos . Tranquilo para descansar y personal muy amable gracias .

10-15 minute walk to the new strip.. staff are not the nicest at reception but by the pool they're great! WiFi is not so great especially by the pool. Rooms are fine, clean and equipped with everythinv you need. Beds are not the comfiest but fine if you're not picky.
