Our first visit was in 1999. It was one of the best decisions. Wonderful location and the team make you feel at home...we have always quoted Jardim do Vau as our second home. 20 out of 10..it is that good. Please leave some room for return.

It was a great clean hotel right near the beach with a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom was spacious and quiet.There was a nice balcony off the lounge and dining area. There is a restaurant and shop where you can get groceries on site Laundry was quite expensive for a small bag of clothes. I would definitely stay there again great value for money.

Okolica zachwycająca, wiele deptak ów na kilku godzinne spacery. Jeden mankament tego hotelu bardzo ograniczone i pozbawione świeżych warzyw posiłki. Owoce cudowne.

Love this place, very spacious rooms, massive showers and spotless. Cleaning staff are brilliant, will be back again next year. The bar is not great and the poolside bar is a bit on the pricey compared to the places 200metres away, but these really are not a stumbling block. Will always recommend here if asked.

Wij zijn vandaag aangekomen, het apartement is ruim en netjes, alles prima en aanwezig, voor de kinderen genoeg te doen, supermarktje heeft veel en voor normale prijzen, enige minpuntje is dat we aan de weg zitten met de slaapkamer, waardoor ik niet goed kan slapen (moeilijke slaper) anders had het perfect geweest

Empfehlenswertes ruhiges Hotel genial gelegen an der Praia do Vau in Stadtnähe und nahe an Einkaufscentren. Mit grossen sauberen Zimmer, perfekt eingerichtet. Im Restaurant mit saisonalen frischen Produkten sowie freundlichem Staff. Der Empfang professionnel und kompetent meine Freunde haben gedroht dass sie wieder kommen...

Superior Appartement 4.Etage mit Aufzug ,Januar 2019.
Sehr nette Wohnung, frisch renoviert. Sehr viel näher kommt man einem Strand an der Algarve nicht. Die Anlage sieht von der Straße nicht besonders gut aus, liegt aber direkt am Strand. Von der Hauptstraße bemerkt man nichts mehr, weil alle Gebäude zum Atlantik ausgerichtet sind. Lediglich die Kinderschlafzimmer gehen nach hinten.
Unsere Wohnung ist neuwertig, gutes Bett und die Einrichtung ganz ok. Wir brauchen auch im Urlaub etwas Platz, den gibt es genug.
Netter Empfang an der Rezeption, das Restaurant ist im Januar zu. Daher kann ich zum Essen nichts sagen. Natürlich ist es im Januar ruhig, der Pool mit der Terrasse ist nicht in Betrieb. Ich war aber auch schon vor 5 Jahren im September hier, dann ist es am Pool sehr angenehm.
Ohne Auto ist man verloren, bis auf einige Beachbars ist Praia Do Vau im Januar geschlossen.

( matelas et oreillers très bonne qualité)
Assez rare pour une location ..
Cuisine avec frigo, lave-vaisselle , lave-linge, micro-ondes, four, bouilloire, grille pain,plaques de cuisson et hotte aspirante .
1salle de bain spacieuse .. Bidet et lavabo .
1 salle d'eau douche italienne bidet lavabo ..
1 salle à manger salon avec canapé lit 2 couchage assez agréable TV plat. 2 fauteuils.
L'ensemble environ 35 m2...
L'appartement pour nous 5 fait environ 85m2 .
Je le conseille c'est un 4 **** et pour la qualité le pour ce n'est pas l'Espagne qui eux te loue un 4 étoiles mais c'est un 2 étoile .
Ici 4* c'est bien du 4 *
Je le conseille sans aucun problème .

We loved the location, that it was close to the beautiful beach and coastline. The room was spacious and comfortable. The facilities were in good condition. We didnt like that you need to bring or buy a swim cap for 4 euros at the pool.

Schönes Hotel.sind zum 2 ten Mal da gewesen.werden ein drittes Mal nächstes Jahr fahren.absolut funktionell.Riesiges Appartement bekommen.dichter am Strand geht nicht,nur am Pool vorbei Zack ist man da.wir haben ohne Verpflegung gebucht,da im vorletzten Jahr es uns leider nicht gefallen hat.(möglich das der Restaurantbetreiber gewechselt hat,dies haben wir nicht überprüft).der kleine Laden im Hotel hat alles was man mal eben brauchen kann.Geschäfte (Lidl, Aldi und co)nicht so weit,wir hatten aber ein Auto.zu Fuss vielleicht wirklich ein bischen zu weit um es zu schleppen.(vielleicht fahren Busse,das weiss ich leider nicht)um die Ecke ist ein kleiner SPAR Laden.Einige kleine Lokale direkt in der Nebenstraße.wir waren mit zwei Kindern da.ein absolutes Muss ist das Slide and Splash..mit dem Auto 20 Minuten maximal entfernt.

Spacious room, clean, very good kitchen facilities, heating worked very well (was a little bit cold during our stay), on site shop was small and expensive but had pretty much most of what you need for a self catering holiday (bread, milk, eggs, snacks, cereal, cheeses, 5lt bottles of water etc.), if you dont mind a 30 min walk there is an Aldi and Lidl you could go to get things for cheaper. There is also a restaurant on site but we didnt eat in there so cannot comment on it.The water was too cold to go in the outdoor pool but it was very big so during summer this would be an advantage, the indoor pool again is quite big and there is also a jacuzzi which is nice but you have to wear a swimming cap while in the water. Gym consisted of 2 treadmills, 2 spin cycles, one multi machine which wasnt very good and no free weights, but being on holiday this was no issue at all.The beach is very nice and is only 2 minutes walk from the room, if you are going out late, after 19:00 I think, the gates at the back of the hotel that get direct access will be locked so you will have to walk round to get to the beach, but this is still less than 5 minutes.There is also quite a few English and American channels on the TVs, as well as French and German.

Ist keine 5 Sterne wert das Essen ist leider nicht immer sehr gut .Aber denn Mitarbeiter sien sehr nett und der Pool ist gut. Die drei Sterne wegen denn Betten dein sind so Hardt das ich jeden Tag Schmerz Paste Benutzen mußte um aus dem Hotel bett raus zu Kommen .

We liked location, close to a beautiful beach, walking to shops and restaurants. Room with kitchen was spacious, nice deck to sit out on and flowers planted on the deck was a nice touch. Housekeepers friendly, front desk helpful, quiet and beds comfortable. I would recommend to our family and friends.

The spouse and I enjoyed I nice autumn vacation in October/November at Jardin do Vau. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two bedroom apartment, likely because they were renovating a block of one bedroom units during the quiet season. The two bedroom unit was excellent, with two full bathrooms a large sitting room, a dining room, kitchen and a patio that was about 15 feet by 25 feet. The kitchen was fully equipped with stove/oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a washing machine for clothes.The location of Jardin do Vau IS outstanding as it is about 100 feet from the Vau beach. Theres no need to drive to the beach, and its quite handy to pop back in to your apartment to get a beer, have a snack, or just to grab some item that you may have forgotten.I would not have liked to stay at that location without having rented a car. It is possible to walk to the strip of restaurants that line Praia de Rocha, but its a dark, lonely walk home after dinner. However, with a car, there are numerous restaurants and shops within a 5 minute drive.For a future trip to the Algarve, I would definitely return to Jardin do Vau.

Hotelanlage mit zwei Gebäudekomplexen. Wir waren in dem vorderen Gebäude (vom strand ausgesehen) mit wunderbarem Meerblick.
Ein typischer Strand der Algarve direkt vor dem Hotel. Von dem Strand sind keine Hochhäuser zu sehen. Ganz anders sieht es in Praia da Rocha 1km östlich aus. Sehr viele Hochhäuser am Strand, dies ist hier am Praia da Vau nicht der Fall und deshalb waren wir froh, dieses Hotel und den Strand ausgesucht zu haben!
Sehr geräumiges Appartment, zwei Badezimmer und sehr großes Wohnzimmer. Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine in der Wohnung!
Das Frühstück ist tatsächlich etwas eintönig (für Leute aus Deutschland...), aber alles frisch und Personal sehr nett.
Appartement sauber und Reinigungskräfte freundlich und gründlich.
Hallenbad sehr schön, aber an Badekappe denken, die man ansonsten dort kaufen muss. Zwei Fitnessräume, die auch sehr ordentlich sind.
Poolanlage groß und auch sehr gepflegt. Wir waren als Familie im Oktober 2018 für 14 Tage dort und waren sehr zufrieden und könnten uns eine Wiederholung vorstellen!

Sehr schöne Lage mit direkter Verbindung zin Strand. Der Pool ist sauber und sehr groß das frühstückist ebenfalls sehr gut und es ist für jeden was dabei. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Meerblick welches sehr sauber ist bis auf Ameisen in einem Badezimmer. Wurde aber sobald wir das Problem gemeldet haben behoben. Sehr freundliches Personal ist nicht zu vergessen!

Meine Freundin und ich waren vor kurzem im Jardim do Vau und hatten dort für 14 Tage ein Appartement gebucht. Zunächst zu den positiven Dingen. ...ein sehr sauber geführtes Hotel mit Pool- und Außenanlage, Zimmer ebenfalls sehr sauber. Sämtliches Personal freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Unmittelbar beim Hotel befindet sich ein traumhaft gelegener Strand mit entsprechender toller Landschaft. Dort befinden sich auch 3 kleine/niedliche Gaststätten, wo man die landestypischen Speisen zu relativ günstigen Preisen essen kann. Zu den negativen Dingen können wir von dem Frühstück berichten, dass jeden Tag gleich und teiweise auch nicht genießbar war. Abwechslung war/ ist anscheinend ein Fremdwort für das Restaurant. Abendessen wurde im Hotel nicht eingenommen. Schade fanden wir auch, daß für die Waschmaschine und für die Geschirrspülmaschine vom Hotel her, keine Tabs zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Dieser geringfügige Service seitens des Hotels wäre mit Sicherheit kein Problem und würde die Zufriedenheit der Gäste enorm steigern. Fazit: sehr sauber geführtes Hotel mit zauberhafter Landschaft aber mit einem miserabelem Essen.

Decent hotel rooms, with a good pool and very good beach access. The breakfast buffet is worse than expected. Not much to choose from, the same with dinner, and their pool restaurant. The food they serve is fine, but the selection is scarce... However if you take aside the beach acces, the location of the hotel is subpar.. Restaurants in the area has expensive and uninteresting food.. And it's a bit far from the city..

Endured a hellish 2 weeks here...the place is run by three teenage boys...the managers literally hide near bushes to get info to staff members...the pool police kick off with little children for having inflatables in the pool, or any perceived fun...giving 2 stars not 1 as the maid service was ok and you could tell they were being flogged as hard as could be by the exhausted look on faces...the prices were very high...1.50 for a small water

Hôtel agréable et quasi les pieds dans leau et ça cest génial surtout avec un petit de 4 ans. Aux alentours manque danimations. Il faut juste prendre la voiture et à 5 minutes il y la playa del Rocha et là il y avait de la vie. Resto, boutiques et bars. Surtout le restaurant italien Bulli & Pupe excellent risotto, pâtes excellentes et la pana cota un vrai régale. Et si vous aimez les fruits de mer allez au restaurant Marisquera Coral ils ont excellent.

Excelentes hotél
Escelente quarto T2 com Boa higiene TODOS os canais da TV, piscina jacuzzi enterior quente e limpa, piscina exterior e Praia em frente com excelentes condições.
Muitos BOM em TODOS os aspetos.
É pena só TER uma TV NA sala. Devia de Aver 1 em cada quarto.
Recomendo vivamente férias em família.

Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für einen Familienurlaub mit Kindern, so lange man ohne Verpflegung bucht. Super Strand, sehr schöner Pool und großzügige Zimmer. Darüber hinaus ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze. Frühstück und Dinner sind absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Das ist jetzt kein typisch deutsches Gemecker, sondern liegt schlicht und einfach an der sehr geringen Auswahl...und Qualität. Beides wenn überhaupt 4-. Außgenommen hiervon das Pool BBQ am Do. Ist aber nicht schlimm, da fußläufig viele Restaurants erreichbar sind, bei denen man sehr gut UND günstiger essen kann. Wer meiner Bewertung nicht traut, bucht trotzdem ohne Verpflegung und testet Frühstück (8€ Erw./ 4€ Kinder) und Dinner (16€ Erw./ 8€ Kinder) einmal. Es ist nämlich egal, ob man im voraus bucht oder sich von Tag zu Tag entscheidet;-) Zum Frühstück deckt man sich morgens mit frischen Brötchen vom hoteleigenen Minimarkt ein (sind besser als die beim Frühstücksbuffet) und frühstückt gemütlich auf der Terrasse/ Balkon Insgesamt 4 Sterne -wie geschrieben- für Familienurlaub mit Kindern.

Sadly not everyone speaks portuguese there and sometimes the staff treats the portuguese people not so well (on the opposite side they are always nicer to the foreigner guests).

Mooi hotel met een mooie ligging.
Het complex is ruim opgezet, veel Engelse bezoekers. Mooi groot zwembad en een klein supermarktje. Helaas mogen kinderen niet heel veel doen in het zwembad. Bij een kleine spetter worden ze al teruggeroepen door de badmeester.
De kamers zijn erg ruim. Mooie slaapkamers, ruime keuken en een groot balkon. De meubels zijn modern.
De kamers direct aan het zwembad kun je helaas niet boeken, deze zijn bezet middels "time share".
Via een trapje kun je direct naar het mooie grote strand. Hier kun je mooi langs de kust lopen en bij de strandtent kun je ook lekker in de avond eten.
Naast het hotel zijn een aantal tentjes gelegen. Jacaranda kun je voor weinig lekker eten. De eigenaar spreekt Nederlands en heeft enkele Nederlandse gerechten.
Naar het centrum is het wat verder lopen. Het is goed voor de beenspieren.

Sehr nette Hotelangestellte und unsere Suite war (dank Upgrade) genial. Mit Meerblick und großem Balkon. Das Essen am Kiosk am Pool ist günstig und sehr gut. Ansonsten auch alles bestens. Die Lage ist hervorragend und man ist mit wenigen Schritten direkt an unterschiedlichen Stränden. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Wij waren hier in November de locatie van het hotel is prima wij zaten 2 hoog in een appartement dan zie je een klein stukje zee je kan beter iets hoger zitten.
Voor eten kan je beter naar portimao rijden.

A quiet, relaxed, perfect spot. Our recent “ Long-term“ stay at JARDIM DO VAU was simply serene. From the highly efficient, helpful, friendly and welcoming reception lead by front desk manager Marta and her team members Elsa and Nuno to the meticulous daily housekeeping under the watchful eye of Gaida (who promptly resolved any issues with our apartment i.e. corkscrew, toaster, washing machine) we were made to feel like valued guests.
The manager of their little convenience store, Lidia, was a ray of sunshine around the property. She was so friendly and always helpful and had many little tips to give about the area.
For us JDV was the ideal location with Portimao , Alvor and Praia do Rocha well within a short distance with reliable shuttle bus service to four locations. Most places were easily within walking distance.
As a special touch for our 50th anniversary we upgraded to a two bedroom ,two bathroom amazing suite for our final week... well worth the splurge.
All in all… A truly memorable holiday.

Great value for money . Clean and spacious two bedroom apartment with a great sea view . Right on the fantastic beach and near good restaurants. Cheap taxi to Portimao shops and a short walk to Praia Da Rocha. Mini market on site and another good one near the excellent Restaurant Wine Diner. The nearby Spar is poorly stocked and expensive. All in all a great week.

We'd paid for a sea view, which was of the Fawlty Tower's variety - seen between rooftops. However our family had nice two-bed apartments with modern kitchens and loads of space for the kids. The big plus is the situation right on an easily accessible beach. Great if you have wee ones
Also good outdoor pool area and generous sized indoor pool. The on-site restaurant is probably best avoided, limited buffet

Idd zijn de beden te hard maar dat hadden we zoals te lezen bij andere reacties moeten zeggen tijdens ons verblijf.
Ook het personeel is zeer vriendelijk.

Tag durch das wunderschöne Land fahren,
dann hat man etwas zu erzählen,
von diesem Hotel nichts,

This hotel has everything you need, well equipped large apartments, great pool with lots of sun loungers, right next door to long sandy beach and even a mini supermarket. The area is quiet (no bad thing), and you can walk to Praia da Rocha and Alvor. We had a airport pick up later in the day and were offered storage of our luggage and a courtesy room and towels free of charge.

Perfect place to enjoy a great holiday!!
When we arrived we were welcomed warmly by the friendly receptionist and were told she upgraded our apartment to "penthouse": those are the apartments on the top floor, which have a great view (seaside; see pictures) and a private rooftop sunterrace. Everything feels luxury and the apartment is very spacious and very clean (as if we were one of the first to use it). The pool area is exlusively for the guests of Jardim do Vau, so even in the busiest time of the year it doesnt feel crowded and there's always enough unoccupied sunbeds. There's also a bar in the pool area, which serves great cocktails :) Within a few steps you stand on a beautiful beach with various activities available. Also within walking distance (about 1,5 kms along the coast) you'll find the lively Praia Da Rocha boardwalk with plenty of restaurants and entertainment.

Rooms spacious and cleaned daily.
All kitchen appliances in good working order so options of cook in/eat out at your discretion.
Pool and surrounding area well maintained with garden area for ball games and children’s play ground.
Library and small local shop for necessities included.
A short walk to praya da rocha or a €8 taxi ride to Alvor will give you a plentiful choice of eateries to match your tastes. Uber and taxi’s never a problem.
I did not use the “my guest” restaurant in the hotel for dinner as our experience with the poolside bar and restaurant team did not impress. The offering and quality was fine for a pool bar but the service requires some serious improvement. Let’s just say it’s chalk and cheese when you visit other restaurants in the vicinity. It was my only disappointment of a well polished offering by the hotel itself.
We’ll be back but having lunch on the beach unless the pool bar improves!

Nou laten we maar bij het begin beginnen.
Er staat niets op de website dat je naast een snelweg slaapt. Er werd gezegd uitzicht op zee we hadden geen. Kom bij de balie enige info is is voor de stroom.komen half 10 aan willen wat eten.word er gezegt dat kan voor 16 euro P.P. exclusief drinken zijn maar 10 gerechten. gaan naar een restaurant gegeten voor 25 euro plus drinken.ze zeggen het hek is dicht achter het zwembad om 7 uur savonds . Kunnen we er nog langs om 12 uur snachts . Het bed keihard en de slaapbank zo zacht dat je de stangen voelt. Zwembad goed. Winkeltje ook goed. Voor de rest plaats niet een alarm op een touwtje in de douche naast de ventilator niet hoog genoeg voor een kind dat lijkt op een koortje voor de ventilatie.
Het laattste zeer onvriendelijke receptie en als je wil wisselen van kamer is niet mogelijk. Dus conclusie slecht hotel.

Die Zimmer sind geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Der Zimmerservice sehr gründlich und zuverlässig. Das Hotel ist zwar schon seit über 30 Jahren am Markt, aber durch regelmäßige Renovierungsarbeiten sieht man ihm das wirklich nicht an. Alles macht einen guten und gepflegten Eindruck.
Im Haus A im EG hat man zwar keinen Meerblick aber den Vorteil, dass man direkt von der Terrasse an den Pool gehen kann. Die höhergelegenen Zimmer haben hauptsächlich einen schönen Meerblick auf den schönsten Strandanschnitt des gesamten Praia do Vau.

Uitstekende service van het hotel na een fout van de reisorganisatie. De kamers zijn prima en goed onderhouden. Ontbijt zou wat gevarieerder mogen (iedere dag hetzelfde). Restaurants en het strand zijn op steenworpafstand. Het dichtstbijzijnde stadje (Praia da Rocha) is lopend goed te doen. Met de taxi is het overigens maar circa €5,-. Al met al een uitstekende vakantie gehad.

We had a 2 bed apartment which was spacious and clean but on the second day of our stay there was sewage smell from both the bathrooms. The staff put this down to low tide and made no offer to help or move us to another apartment. They said this was inherent in the D block where we were. The smell persisted on other days as well. Spoiled our holidays. We are very disappointed as this is supposed to be a 4* hotel.
Also, the food lacked variety for half board guests and refused any discount on alacarte menu.
We cannot fault the location of the hotel. The staff were present.

Unser. Zimmer war sehr großzügig gestaltet. Wir habe zei Schlafräume, ein Wohnraum ind zwei Bäder gehabt. Eine Küche mot allem Drum und Dran. Frühstück ist ok, nicht bemerkenswert, aber ok. Sehr freundliche und informative Rezeption. Gute Anlage mit Pool, Indoorpool, Sauna, Fitnessraum, Minimarkt... Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl hier. Ach ja und kurzer Weg zum Sandstrand.

Upon checkin we found the reception to be rather uninterested and not terribly helpful. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired as both bathrooms had left over soaps in the holders, from previous guests. Although the apartment had kitchen facilities, reception informed us to buy our own detergent for our dishes from a supermarket - we would have considered this a basic provision. On the plus side the bar and restaurant staff were great and the outside area, although we didnt use it, looked lovely. We did not bring children, but would recommend families to request a lower level apartment. The single beds were underneath a fully openable window. We were also unimpressed with the lack of security lighting outside the apartments. I would not be selecting this apartment again.

Okay, at Jardin do Vau what you get is a basic one bedroom apartment that is steps away (50 meters) from a fabulous beach. The apartments are large enough to be comfortable and have a serviceable kitchen. My stay was during November, so I didnt make use of air conditioning, but it was available. The neighbourhood is quiet at night, which I appreciate, but a 1 km walk takes you to a street with bars and pubs (if you are a walker, you can easily go out without worrying about drunk driving). The apartment complex has parking for free, indoor and outdoor pools, and a bar/restaurant, all of which I used.While there are laundry facilities on site which you can use for 5€ per load, it would have been nice to have a washing machine in the apartment.Overall, its a great location and represents excellent value for money.

Wir waren 9 Tage in den Herbstferien 2017 im Jardim do Vau. Die Lage ist super in erster Reihe an der Küste. Es liegt etwas ausserhalb der Bettenburgen in Portimao. Das Hotel hat direkten Strandzugang in eine wunderschöne Bucht der typischen Steilküste. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, wenn auch eher funktional als modern eingerichtet. Aus den meisten Zimmern hat man Meerblick. Alle haben Balkon. Das Hotel hat Innen- und Aussenpool. Beide recht groß und schön.
Großer Kritikpunkt ist die Verpflegung. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Ein Fehler.
Das Frühstück ist noch ok, wenn auch nicht 4 Sterne wert. Das Abendessen ist eine Frechheit. Es gibt zwei Menüs zur Auswahl, wobei es durchaus Abweichungen zwischen Karte und serviertem Essen gibt. Die ersten zwei Hauptspeisen waren wirklich ungenießbar. Schlechter als jede Kantine, die ich je besucht habe. Nachdem wir uns sowie mehrere Gäste beschwert hatten, wurde die Qualität etwas besser. Nach dem dritten Tag mit dem gleichen Tiefkühlgemüse, unfreundlichem Personal und Zufalls-Nachtisch haben wir uns entschieden, das Restaurant nicht mehr zu besuchen. Eine sehr gute Alternative stellen die Restaurants direkt am Strand dar. Dort kann man in toller Atmosphäre entspannt gutes und bezahlbares Essen genießen.

Been coming twice a year for over 20 years the hotel is in the best position available being almost on the beach which is spectacular the hotel has very large balconies with great views 1at floor ones may be restricted by tree's penthouse one's are the best, but expensive, rooms now have Wi-Fi which has made a difference, the restaurant and bar have been under different management over the years, it used to be amazing and was the meeting place for friends, on this holiday we tried the bar on first night, it had two staff but they made no attempt to welcome us or even serve us, so after two minutes of being ignored we left, five days later we tried restaurant, the girl serving us was lovely but my wife's dinner was missing the main part , we told a waiter he went to see the chef who said he can use any vegetable although on the menu it stated broccoli we showed the menu and they then agreed and said they would bring the broccoli, all this took over 10 minutes so the rest of dinner was cold, but no offer was made to re heat or replace also no offer of a free drink or price reduction we decided we would have a drink at the bar, the waiter again made no attempt to welcome us, and he continues to make five cocktails which took him five minutes during that time the girl who served the meal had spotted we were not happy and served us, but when we saw the cocktails were for the staff we made our mind up that would be our last time in the bar oh also the costs had went up 40% approximately since our last visit we met other people who had the same experience, sorry for the long winded details but the bar is important and is letting a great hotel down

Das Essen im Restaurant geht gar nicht... sehr teuer und schmeckt null... selbst die Pizza Mageritha hat nicht geschmeckt und der Boden war nicht durch gebacken... leider kein Anzeichen von Reue oder einer Wiedergutmachung..trotz das das Essen von uns fast komplett zurück ging..haben zwar gefragt und dachten wir hätten keinen Hunger.... schade...
Wir laufen jetzt eben bisschen weiter da gibt es genug Bar und Restaurant bei denen man gut und günstig bzw.. dem Preisleistungsverhältsnis entsprechend essen kann...
Die Lage ist sehr gut... ruhige Lage direkt am Strand ...nuchts für Leute die Halli Galli machen wollen ..das geht hier in einem ehe Familienhotel nicht... allerdings 2 km weiter.

Das Hotel Jardim Do Vau liegt ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß von Braia da Rocha entfernt direkt an einem wunderschönen Strand. Dadurch dass es abseits vom großen Rummel liegt ist es ruhiger. Die Zimmer sind Appartements mit Wohnzimmer mit Küche, Schlafzimmer und Dusche, WC. Wir hatten Zimmer A107 im Erdgeschoss mit Terrasse zum Pool. Perfekte Lage, da wir morgens ganz in Ruhe ohne jemanden zu stören, schwimmen gehen konnten. Der Pool Bereich ist nämlich vor 8Uhr für die Anderen nicht zu erreichen . Das Frühstück wird in Buffet Form gereicht. Apropos gereicht, das hat das Frühstück, wenn es auch sehr überschaubar war. Etwas Wurst und Käse, Tomaten Gurken, Toast und Brötchen, Marmelade und Müsli mit frischem Joghurt und Honig. Kaffee,Tee, Cappuccino, klar! Auch zwei gruselige Säfte gabs. Ach ja, absolut geschmacklose Eier mit Bacon, der aber ganz gut war gibt es auch noch. Das Abendessen: Immer in Menu Form, meist ein Fisch und ein Fleisch Gereicht, vorher Suppe, Salat, oder anderes und zur Nachspeise etwas Süßes. Das Ganze mehr als überschaubar und nix wenn man Hunger hat. Mir hat es nie gereicht. Das Hotel hat noch einen Indoor Pool und einen Spa Bereich. Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen für junge Menschen denen es nichts ausmacht ein bischen zu Laufen um in die Stadt zu kommen und für Familien mit Kindern, wegen der direkten Strandlage und dem schönen Pool Bereich. Außerdem ist es perfekt gelegen für zahlreiche Unternehmungen in die nähere und fernere Umgebung. Viele schöne Golfplätze sind von hier aus gut erreichbar.

W łazience oprócz wc również bidet. W każdym pokoju własny bezprzewodowy dostęp do internetu. Internet bardzo dobrej jakości. Do tej pory w każdym hotelu internet był fikcja. Tu internet działa bardzo dobrze i masz go w pokoju. Hotel położony bezpośrednio przy przepięknej plazy. Własny basen, boisko, siłownia, biblioteka, a nawet fryzjer. We enjoyed our 3 weeks in a beautiful location. The staff are friendly and helpful with local information. Their shuttle bus will provide free transport to and from some shopping locations which saved renting a car. The restaurant under new ownership, will deliver the quality food and service you were probably hoping for. I have so many things to say but for now....thank you Jardim Do Vau .

We spent a month in this lovely location. We had a two bedroom/two bedroom apartment that was well equipped. Having a dishwasher and a washer/dryer was very convenient for us. The large living space plus balcony was perfect. Linens and towels were changed regularly by the housekeeping staff.
The amazing beach, with its thirty metre red cliffs, is easy to access. There is a great boardwalk to stroll along for another beach view. If the tide is low, you can make a beach walk/boardwalk circuit. For the more adventurous, you can continue the cliff walk by climbing the cliff "steps" using a knotted rope. There is a lovely restaurant in Jardim do Vau. If you wish to eat in a less fancy place, there are nearby restaurants on the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful This is a quieter location than the larger towns but has easy access by local bus to other villages. I would choose this location again if I returned to Portugal.

Uns, Familie mit zwei Kindern, hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Hatten ein Update auf den größeres, sehr geräumiges Apartment im Hauptgebäude. Von da geht man vorbei am Supermarkt ca. 100 m zum Pool und von da eigentlich nur ein paar Stufen runter direkt zum Meer.
Essen war nicht überragend, aber ausreichend und immer was für die Kinder dabei. Kein Buffet sondern täglich 3 Gerichte zur Auswahl. Morgens dann allerdings ein kleines Frühstücksbuffet. Instantkaffee eine Zumutung :-( aber naja, kann nicht alles haben.
Das Meer, der Strand direkt vor der Tür und die Möglichkeit, vom Hotel Kilometerlang den Strand entlang zu spazieren - einfach genial!

Mooie omgeving, leuke plaatsen in de buurt, zoals Alvors, Lagos. Wel fijn als je een auto ter beschikking hebt.

Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, Zimmer komfortabel ausgestattet. Jedoch ist die Verpflegung schlecht, Frühstück knapp ausgestattet, Kaffee ungenießbar... Empfehlung ohne Verpflegung buchen und selbst organisieren....

Tolle Lage, vom Pool drei Minuten zum Strand, sehr sauber, sehr freundliches Personal, Essen bei Halbpension sehr gut. Werde es immer wieder buchen. Klare Empfehlung.

This was just a one night stay but the bed was very comfortable. They had some kind of metal blind to cover the bedroom window and keep out street noise but I did not need it. Even though we did not buy the restaurant breakfast their coffee Americano and Galao was fantastic and totalled 3 euro . I would definitely stay there again .

Recht schöne Anlage aber das Essen ist eine Katastrophe ; abgelaufene Lebensmittel, schlechter Kaffee und ungenießbares Rührei aus Pulver anstatt echtem Ei entspricht nicht dem Anspruch an einem 4 Sterne Hotel.

everythig was perfect! the weather is wonderful, the beach is one step from the resort, great outdoor swimming pool area - with a very nice pool bar - very clean, everyone is very nice, friendly and pollite and helped in everything we asked - and we are very demanding people! it is a 4 star resort but a lot better than some 5 star hotel ive been at. in few words, i will certainly come back again!
