This place oozes old world character it is amazing and I would highly recommend it. Great staff, perfectly presented, spotless bedroom, excellent bathrooms with great showers. It offered a lounge room, kitchen, washing facility on my level I am not sure about other floors. Breakfast is fabulous alot of food choice in a prettying area with music playing.
They have drinks, fruit and cakes at reception.
Incredibly helpful with tourist info.

Nettes sympathisches Hotel mit altem Charme. Das Peis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Metro direkt auf der anderen Seite der Straße. Leider etwas laut, da alte Fenster und Durchgangsstraße.

Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and had great English skills. Breakfast was consistently satisfying and a good variety. All aspects of facility were clean, comfortable and inviting. Very conveniently located for public transportation and grocery store (and rental car). I highly recommend it! Hello from your fan in Colorado.

Eine Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen. Liebevoll eingerichtet und total freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Das Frühstück morgens war topp. Die Metrostation liegt direkt gegenüber so dass man alle Ziele in Lissabon wunderbar erreichen kann. Mein nächster Aufenthalt wird wieder in diesem Haus stattfinden. Danke an das ganze Team.

Een van de beste plekken waar ik geslapen heb. Comfortabele bedden, goed matras, fijne kamer en schone badkamer. De locatie is echt top! Tegenover de metro. En het ontbijt is ook heel erg lekker. Echt een aanrader!

Véritable coup de coeur pour cet endroit vraiment charmant!! Chambre agréable, simple mais cosy. Parties communes agréables, on se sent comme chez soi entre la cuisine bien équipée, le salon, l'immense salle de bain et sa baignoire... petit déjeuner complet et copieux. Personnel vraiment agréable. Niveau bruit, j'ai été réveillée un matin très tôt par un sèche cheveux, mais deux boules quies et hop, la nuit continue!! Le métro en face est hyper pratique... bref que du bonheur!

I recently stayed in this Guest House and I have all but praise to say about the House. From my early arrival my luggage was stored for me because being 7:00 am my room was not ready. They took the time to inform me about the public transport, for the benifit of guest the Metro station is across the street.
I' m an early riser and even though breakfast does not officially start till 8:00am I was allow by the host to start eating of what was out. I specially want to praise Miguel for his help with directions, advice for places to see, metro, pre-ordering my taxi for the airport and printing my boarding past for my trip. He even set aside something to have for breakfast since my pickup was too early. ( Thanks to Marylin, Patricia, Felipe) they too made my stay a wonderful one. Truly if there was a song to describe this place it would have to be a Portuguese version of Disney Be are Guest.
A must for me, I highly recommend it over the 5 star mausoleum hotels. Would go back without a doubt✌.

Splendido, assolutamente consigliato! Per un viaggio da solo, in coppia o con la famiglia, è accogliente, pulito, personale cortese e attento. Camere spaziose, non c'è ascensore; bagno in comune ma si trova un wc piccolo con lavandino, water e doccia e uno grande con in più vasca e bidet. Colazione strepitosa. Metro fuori dalla porta!

5 Star Hotel service for the price of a guest house! Due to Covid 19, occupancy was very low when I checked in. Miguel upgraded me to the best room at no cost, and the next morning delivered me room service breakfast because I overslept.
Now that's above and beyond service. Highly recommended, will come back again for sure.
Only recommendation to the management is to improve the locks in the doors as they are old and require a lot of fidgeting around to open.

Amei!! De nossa viagem aos dois países da Europa, foi de longe nossa melhor experiência. E olha que eu estava em duvida quanto a oferecerem banheiro compartilhado. Mas de verdade? Achei super tranquilo! A equipe é super atenciosa, o hotel todo tem um perfume delicioso, as roupas de cama de ótima qualidade, café da manhã incrível...se voltar à Lisboa, não tenho dúvidas, essa será minha opção de hospedagem.

Room was nice and the staff was kind and helpful. We liked the breakfast. It was the same the 3 days we were there but there was still a lot of choices.
On the downside, there was 4 electricity shut down while we were there and we found it a bit expensive. Oh, and it was noisy (a guy took his shower at 1AM and we heard it all -_-)

Cozy and warm, beautifully decorated. Well located and is not that hard to park your car around. The best thing of the place is the staff attention, breakfast is also good. I would repeat here even when the bathrooms are shared (we knew that beforehand, so there is nothing to complain about it) 100% recommendation.

The place is an apartment converted to a nice inn, it's old and has vintage feel. Very well located, convenient when commuting via metro as it is literally opposite the inn, there are eateries, padarias, restaurants and supermarket close by. No lift but was able to get by with the stairs. Front desk team Patricia, Miguel and another guy (tall w/ beard) upon check-in, during my stay, and check-out were very nice, warm and inviting. They were very helpful when I had some queries. I like them. Breakfast was good. It had a homey feel to it. The bathroom and hallway were clean. Pantry was neat and tidy. My only concern was the door. It had to be locked with a key when you enter and exit the room. It's kind of annoying. Everything else about the stay was very good. Would like to stay here again when I come back to Lisbon.

I've been there for 5 days with my wife and little child. I strongly recommend this establishment. Professional team with a hint of kindness. They take their time to explain to you everything you need to know about the city. They even lent me a trolley for my daughter so I could face Lisbon's roads. Clean rooms and restrooms. Every floor has his own kitchen, living room and multiple restrooms and shower rooms.
Also it's budget friendly....

I wrestled with this review because I wasn't sure if I give 3 or 4 star.. We got there with a reservation via booking after a long week in Algarve. We were tired. Our reservation was lost, misplaced, who knows. We waited one hour for the situation to be resolved. In the end they decided to accommodate us in a different room that was not meant to be for us. The room and the floor was amazing, clean, beautiful. It is in the newer building. The breakfast was great. My 3 star comes from a few things. We were in Portugal for 21 days and used the Chalet twice. One time we stayed in the newer building and the in the other time in thr older building. The older building is older, smaller and a bit in the run down side. While we stayed in the newer building we noticed check in time went on until way beyond 10pm, with the reception guy speaking loud showing guests everything. Walking in the corridor etc. We believe that although people can check in late, it is insensitive for the reception people to turn lights on, make noise, and talk loud after 10pm. We are definitely not staying there towards the weekend again! It is definitely a much bigger place than we anticipated. It is not a small guesthouse. It is big, lots of room and lots of people sharing the bathroom.

Жила в отеле 6 дней в сентябре 2019 года. Встретили радушно, ребята молодцы, стараются. В отеле идеальная чистота, порядок, очень внимательное отношение к гостям. Отдельное спасибо Мигелю- обьяснял все просто и понятно , учитывая мое неважное знание английского. Рассказывал как куда добраться, подробно писал шпаргалки и отмечал нужные места на карте. Во многом благодаря ему я узнала этот город и его окрестности. И восхищалась этим городом каждый день пребывания в нем. Даже когда однажды полдня лил дождь, и я промокла насквозь. Завтраки очень вкусные и разнообразные. Расположение отеля очень удобное - через дорогу метро, да и пешком дойти до набережной Тежу через замечательные парки, улицы, памятники можно минут за 40. Эта прогулка позволит узнать город лучше и не из окна авто или троллейбуса. Посетите Белем с его музеями, Алфаму с ее неповторимыми видами на город, архитектурой, узкими улочками, фаду и прочими португальскими песнопениями, Площадь Коммерции и вообще погуляйте по набережной Тежу. Обязательны к посещению Синтра м Кашкаиш. Впечатления незабываемые. Спасибо за радушный прием в Лиссабоне!

Muito bom, um hostel( não tivemos problemas nenhum em ir nos banheiros compartilhados, sempre limpos e haromatizados) café da manhã nota 10. Muito farto. Tem uma cozinha onde podemos fazer nossas comidas. Tem sempre na recepção ( qualquer hora) sucos, água??, frutas e docinhos. O pessoal da recepção sempre pronto a nós servir e explicar tudo com muita gentileza. AMEI . PRETENDO VOLTAR.

Una Guest House preciosa, han sabido devolverle la vida a unos edificios antiguos con una decoración muy bonita, no falta detalle. Las habitaciones muy amplias, al igual que los baños y las zonas comunes. La limpieza de 10 y el trato....inmejorable. nos recibió Lucas, muy amable y simpático, si le dejamos carga con todas las maletas! Jajaja. El desayuno es muy variado y están muy atentos para reponer lo que se va consumiendo. Sin duda, recomendaremos el Chalet D'avila y....volveremos! muito obrigada, sempre gostei muito de Lisboa, agora gosto muito mais! Até pronto!

Csak a barátságos személyzet és a nagyon otthonos hangulat miatt 4 csillag. A szobák enyhén szólva is nélkülözik a kényelmet és a folyosó végén táláható közös mosdó kollégiumi emlékeket idéz. Minden zaj áthallatszik a folyosóról és a szobákból, nagyon mélyen kell aludnod hogy pihenni tudj. A reggeli nagyon kellemes meglepetés volt. Nincs túl nagy választék de minden nagyon ízletes. Ha 3 napnál nem töltesz többet és szerettél kollégista lenni kifejezetten ajánlom. Wifi mindenhol van de TV csak a közös helyiségben. Metro állomás kb 10m a bejárattól.

Endroit absolument charmant en plein centre de la ville ; un quart d'heure de bus permet de rejoindre l'Alfama. Les chambres agréables donnent sur un couloir où l'on trouve les salles de bains partagées ainsi qu'une cuisine commune et une salle tv. Rançon de la gloire, le parquet gémissant et le peu d'isolation phonique rendent les nuits difficiles.
Accueil très sympathique en français ou anglais ou espagnol. Peu cher.

Booked it for my mother. Room was small but clean. It can get a bit noisy inside if you have kids or party ppl next door but in general it was fine.
Breakfast was quite nice too.
Staff was excellent.
Definitely a good quality for this money.

Localizado junto ao Saldanha, este é um espaço muito agradável, com ótimas condições para se passar uma noite ou para uma estadia mais prolongada. Tem cozinha equipada com o básico, para que seja possível cozinhar, e tem um pequeno-almoço bastante bom. O atendimento foi muito simpático, com pessoas muito prestáveis.

Pretty place, from a couple on meters from the metro station. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Only downside is the noise insulation.

Dont drink the tap water - but this was an amazing experience. Very affordable, almost luxurious even though the bathroom and kitchen is shared. Lovely rooms and the breakfast is good. Best though is the very personal service.

The rooms are nice, spacious and very clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is basic but gets you started for the day.
There are two shared bathrooms and a kitchen for 6 double bedrooms. There is a fridge, some fruits, a washing machine and wifi available.
Location is not central but close to several metro stations and bus stops.
However, do not forget your earplugs as the street is quite noisy.

Um prédio antigo, bem recuperado. Espaços com bonita decoração e ambiente agradável. Equipa disponível. Sem casa de banho no quarto mas não consistiu em impedimento. Vale muito a pena a estadia.

La stanza è molto curata e pulita, d'inverno un fresco perché c'è solo un piccolo termosifone elettrico, la colazione sufficiente e buona. Per qualche notte la consiglio vivamente

Light guest house in the living house of Lisbon. Style light rooms, towels and shower gel are present. Kitchen are comfortable for use. Breakfast are served on the light balcony.

El trato del personal es muy bueno, se preocupan porque tu estancia allí sea lo mejor posible. Habitaciones amplias y limpias. La unica pega es que hay dos baños para siete habitaciones y en determinados momentos hay que esperar.
