The hotel is in a great location in the Bairro Alto with lots of restaurants nearby as well as a terrace with wonderful views within a couple of minutes walking distance. We had a suite as we stayed with our two children which was a good size; the suite was well kept and clean and importantly, had air conditioning. Breakfast was lovely ( a la carte, but you could order how much you wanted). The only small downside was that the road at the front at peak hours appears to be used as a shortcut by local drivers, so was very busy at times.

Hôtel propre personnel compétent qui répond à vos demandes. Chambre calme petit déjeuner correcte et a la carte de nombreux choix. A recommandé séjour de 3 nuits.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und das immer anwesende sehr freundliche Personal ist äußerst hilfsbereit. Bei Ankunft wurde uns ein kostenloser Abstellplatz für das Leihauto zur Verfügung gestellt! Das passiert sonst so gut wie nie! Das sehr geräumige Zimmer war sehr sauber, ebenso das dem Eindruck nach neu renovierte Bad. Bad mit Bidet, Marmor, Duschtrennwand, guten Armaturen. 1A. Schöner kleiner Balkon, mit der Bank vom Bett ließ es sich noch einen Absacker in der warmen Abendluft von Lissabon trinken. Und noch etwas: ein super a la carte -Frühstück, wo alles bei ist was man sich wünscht. Frische warme Vanilletörtchen, guter (!) Kaffee, frisch gepresste Säfte, Pancakes, Eier in allen Variationen, Obst, alles war sehr gut. Dass das Hotel so einen guten Eindruck bei uns hinterlässt (als Vielreisende) hatten wir vorher nicht erwartet. Hierher würden wir wieder kommen.

Sehr freundliches bemühtes Personal an Rezeption (24h) und beim Frühstücksservice à la carte (von 7 bis 12! Uhr) - daher alles (Ei, Obst, Müsli, Käse, Lachs....) frisch zubereitet auf Wunsch und ausgezeichnet. Tee und Kuchen am Zimmer bei Ankunft-Alles vorhanden von Minibar,Safe, Föhn,TV.. das einzig Negative war Schimmel an den Seiten bei den Fenstern und im Bad Wasserflecken an der Decke und Schimmel an der Silikondichtung beim Waschbecken.Möbel sind teilweise abgewohnt aber gute Ausstattung.Gute Lage zu Bairo Alto /Metro Station Avenida ist nicht weit und der Botansiche Garten gleich neben an

My stay at this hotel was comfortable. The staff are welcoming, efficient and friendly. My room was spacious with a very comfy bed. Bathroom had large with plenty of hot water. My room was on the first floor facing street....others have views over city. Breakfast is served between 7am and noon - surely the longest offered and is ordered from a menu. Makes sense not to leave buffet style food out for 5 hours. The custard tarts on offer at breakfast are a brilliant way to start the day. The hotel is situated towards top of a hill.....daunting at first but easy from then on. A bit tricky for taxi or Uber pickups but they manage it. I would recommend happily return here.

Hotel Principe Real on Alegria was welcoming and perfect for my trip. My room was spacious, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with good shower/bath. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good - you order from a menu but as the hours are 7am - noon - it makes sense they dont do buffet style except for the Pastel de Nates - those little custard tarts! The hotel is on a hill..but i soon got used to running up and down and i was literally 7 mins from Avenida de Liberdade - and going up hill v close to botanical gardens. I would definately stay there again.

Wonderful and courteous staff. Fine breakfast and hotel is close to train station and heart of Lisbon. Very nice room and front desk gave us a room early morning after arriving from airport so we could relax in the room after long flight. Only downside as hotel is in an area where buildings are being renovated so at times there was a bit of noise but not enough to deter you from staying here.

Séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel ! Point positifs : la situation proche de principe réal et ses bars et restaurants, petit déjeuner extra - tout est frais et bon. Points négatifs : continuels travaux partout dans la rue et marteau piqueur à 8h du matin en vacances bof bof mais sinon rien à redire bien que au vu du décor et des services il s’agit d’un bon 2 étoiles français qu’un 4 étoiles.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Walkable to tourist area, safe. We were in a suite which was very spacious. While parking is very limited we had no issues any of the 3 days we stayed. It is on a hill, if someone has limited mobility is something to consider or just Uber it.

Baustelle, ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste über 19 Uhr hinaus. Am besten, man hält sich nicht im Hotel auf.
Kanalisation stinkt im Badezimmer.
Zimmerservice wechselt auch am 6. Tag die Bettwäsche nicht.
Nicht empfehlenswert.

Une étoile et c'est bien payer à part le petit dejeuner tout est à déplorer première nuit travaux jusque 22 h le lendemain reprise des travaux à 8h seconde nuit nous rentrons du restaurant fuite d'eau dans la salle de bain qui proviens du plafond troisième plainte a la réception sans aucun changement de la situation ils nous donnent des serviettes pour éponger et vous souhaite bonne nuit .... un relogement aurait été totalement normalement nous sommes soit disant dans un hôtel 4 étoiles ..... une honte je ne recommande vraiment pas cet établissement

Lets start with the slightly shallow side of this review. The room decor looked like someone was in the middle of switching to a modern design and just stopped. It was disjointed and kind of ugly. I know this is subjective so moving on.More important the room itself seemed like it was in the middle of being renovated and shouldnt have been booked. There were light switches that didnt do anything, and lights that didnt work at all. What did work was oddly connected with too many lights tied to 1 switch. The floors looked dirty/stained, and there was what looked like a footprint on the wall. See also what looked like a bad patch job on the wall near the bedside table. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable, as in I could feel springs. There was also some strange mildewy smell coming from behind the headboard. There was a chair that was too short for the desk it was used for...in short it was awful.I did not complain because I was exhausted, didnt feel well, and it was one night. Unless something changes, I cant in good conscience suggest staying here.

The staff were very nice, but I wish I'd just started at the Holiday inn. On a minor note the decor in my room looked like someone was converting from one look to another and then just said forget it. On a more major level I had several lights in my room that didn't work and several switches that didn't do anything. There was a shoe print on the wall and it looked like it had taken some damage. The complete eww factor for me was the fact that it smelled like mildew if you got near the lower part of the headboard.
To be honest, I didn't complain about any of this because I didn't feel well and just wanted to eat and rest. At the same time I shouldn't have to complain about things like that. I won't be returning that I can guarantee.

Mycket bra frukost. Mindre bra logistik då det var många som åt samtidigt.Bra hjälp med incheckning till flyget vid avresa. Rummet ej klart vid ankomst vid incheckningstidens början kl 14.00. Byte av handdukar mindre bra. Första dagen böts dom ej trots att handdukarna lagts på golvet enligt anvisning i badrummet, Blöta använda handdukar skulle bytas hängdes upp igen. Övriga dagar fick vi 2 badlakan men bara en liten handduk på 2 personer.

Déçu par la chambre.Nous avions réservé une chambre avec un grand lit (confirmé par le mail de réservation) et malheureusement nous avons eu 2 lits jumeaux, cest extrêmement désagréable pour un séjour de 3 nuits !L’hôtel étant complet, il était impossible de changer de chambre...

NOT a 4-star hotel, 2 seems more appropriate. Facilities are not there and the decor is tired with a revamp well overdue. It still gets 3 stars from me because staff, breakfast are lovely and the location very good. I would even recommend it but with the big disclaimer that the star rating is way off.

Sehr gut und zentral gelegenes Hotel mit guter ÖPNV Anbindung und tollen Restaurants in der Nähe.
Das Hotel ist leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was aber durchaus zum Flair von Lissabon passt. Unser Zimmer und Bad waren gross und sauber.
Besonders zu erwähnen sind das nette und hilfsbereite Personal, und das Frühstück a la carte, das immer frisch und nach Wunsch zubereitet wurde.
Gerne wieder beim nächsten Besuch in LIS!!!!

We had the room at the top, a lovely suite that cost a little more but gave us a lot of extra room. Our bedroom at the back was quiet and had a great view over the city, the lounge area was well furnished and comfortable and the bathroom generous and well equipped. We could open the windows, which was usually plenty to keep the area cool but the air conditioner was also efficient if needed. The patio overlooking the street was great for that end-of-day wine. The Manager is a fund of knowledge on the history of both the city and the country. Breakfast was good with service quick and comprehensive. The only consideration is that, if you plan on walking up to the hotel with your luggage, as we did, the route from the Avenida metro station to the hotel takes only 15 minutes but is gently uphill. Without luggage this is not a problem and the hotel is within easy walking distance of most places. We would happily stay there again.

На первом этаже ресепшн, зона отдыха, лифт. Здесь же завтраки. Предлагают меню и вы выбираете из него, имеется на английском.
В номере было уютно. Имелся мини-холодильник с мини-баром. Встроенный шкаф, где был сейф, и лежал фен. В гостиной диван, кресло и стол, доп.спальное место. В спальне - кровать, тумбочки, комод, и вход в ванную.
Убираются каждый день. Всегда было чисто.
Вежливый персонал.

Bad ohne Ablagen, kein Platz wo man sich setzen kann, sehr hellhörig, im Flur hört man alles was passiert: Aufzug, Türe knallen, Gespräche. Frühstück ist eintönig und keine große Auswahl. Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr steil und hügelig.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück.Zimmer sehr hübsch. Leider sehr laut! Die kleine Straße ist sehr stark befahren. Hier rattert bis spät in die Nacht so einiges über das Kopfsteinpflaster und um 23:40 kommt die Müllabfuhr. Hat man ein Zimmer zur Straße, ist an Schlaf bei offenem Fenster nicht zu denken!

Sehr gemütliches kleines Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Beim Frühstück kein Gerangel am Büffet, sondern man wird nach seinen Wünschen gefragt und es wird alles an den Tisch gebracht, tlw. wie Rühreier, frisch zubereitet.Erstaunlich moderate Preise für Getränke aus dem Zimmer-Kühlschrank. Ausstattung der Zimmer ok, im Bad könnte man mal wieder ein wenig renovieren, aber das waren eher Schönheitsmängel. Man muss sich, wie in ganz Lissabon, nur darauf einstellen, dass alles sehr hügelig ist und es auch von der nahen Metro-Station Avenida zum Hotel ganz schön bergauf geht. Ansonsten sehr günstig gelegen, man ist nah zum Bairro Alto und vielen anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Wir hatten eine Suite im 5. Stock Zimmer 501. Diese hatte eine kleine Dachtrerrasse auf der man allerdings nicht sitzen konnte, da keinerlei Bestuhlung oder gar ein Sonnenschirm vorhanden war. Wir haben uns Stühle aus dem Zimmer nach draußen geschleppt sobald die Sonne weg war. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Mobiliar insgesamt schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, wobei das Bett und die Matratze zum Glück neueren Datums waren. Die Dusche würde dringend mal einen Installateur benötigen, da mehr Wasser aus der Armatur kam als aus dem Duschkopf. Das gesamte Personal im Hotel war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück a la carte war reichhaltig und schmackhaft. Da ist sicher für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, man ist innerhalb 10 - 15 Minuten im Restaurantviertel und an allen anderen wichtigen Punkten für eine Stadtbesichtigung. Vorsicht !! man muss allerdings gut zu Fuß sein, da in der näheren Umgebung alles entweder bergauf oder bergab geht.

Wonderful staff, genuinely very helpful and friendly. Room spotlessly cleaned every day, Comfortable bed. Great breakfast with pastel de natas on offer each morning. Well located near many of Lisbon’s iconic sites and public transport. Easy trip to / from the airport by metro.

The hotel is a gem. It was a trek upwards, but it is so lovely. Our room overlooked the main city - we had a balcony and the most lovely of views. The staff were friendly and hardworking, the breakfast was great.

Un hôtel plutôt bruyant dans un quartier qui a une vie nocturne marquée. Il est à proximité du centre ville mais en hauteur. Excellent petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet à volonté. Le personnel est très accueillant. L’etat des chambre n’est pas génial.

The room itself was fantastic, and this hotel had the friendliest staff Ive ever encountered. We appreciated the table service breakfast. For Pokemon Go players, theres even a gym within reach! The only thing that would have made it better would be a mini fridge, which ultimately isnt very important. Highly recommend!

It is true that this hotel is situated on a hill between two vibrant Lisbon neighbourhoods. After spending the day sight-seeing, the walk home was a bit tiring. That said, at night, I climbed the rest of the hill to a marvellous group of bars and restaurants which meant a downhill walk before I went to sleep. I had a very comfortable room with a great bathroom (including a bidet). The air conditioning worked well and there were blackout shutters which could be deployed to make sure the sun did not wake me too early in the morning. Rather than offer a breakfast buffet, you choose the breakfast items you want and they are cooked to order for you! I enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice and a croissant with my scrambled eggs and bacon. Staff at the check-in desk helped answer many of my sightseeing questions. Be prepared that Lisbon is not exactly a walking city - you will need to use public transportation to reach all the sights you will want to see. Still, this hotel is close to a Metro stop (Avenida) and a local train station (Rossio). Within a day, I came to realize I had made a great choice of a location to base my weeklong stay in Lisbon! The only downside is that there is a nearby building which is being renovated. On workdays, construction began promptly at 8:00 am and I could hear them through the blackout shutters. Still, that was about when I wanted to start my day to maximize my sightseeing time. It wasnt much of a hardship and not the hotels fault!

Preis/Leistung TOPIdeale Unterkunft für ein Städtereise. Das kleine Doppelzimmer reicht als Schlafzimmer völlig aus.Auch das Frühstück in Preis/Leistung gut. Am Nachbargebäude und in der näheren Umgebung wird von 08:00 - 18:00 Uhr viel gebaut/saniert. Das ist nicht zu überhören, hat uns jedoch nicht gestärt. Für Langschläfer wäre es nichts.

Estuvimos tres personas hospedadas en el Principe Real y fue todo genial. Ubicado en la zona alta, y relativamente cerca del centro, es un hotel de 4 estrelles sin grandes pretensiones. Un hotel perfecto, limpio, desayuno a la carta muy Bueno y el personal super agradable y atento. Lo recomendaría sin duda.

Claramente no es un Hotel de 4 estrellas como lo conocemos en España aunque el precio sea igual o más alto. Habitaciones que son un quiero y no puedo, tienen toques modernos y arreglados mezclados con un ambiente anticuado. De las habitaciones puedo decir que lo mejor es el baño que me pareció amplio y arreglado aunque entre los utensilios de aseo teníamos gel y crema corporal pero no champú. Ubicación relativamente buena, en 15 minutos andando estás en el centro. El desayuno es a la carta aunque no es nada espectacular, es algo normal. No me arrepiento de haber ido pero sin duda no repetiría si tuviera que volver a Lisboa.

Wonderful staff - generally friendly and always helpful. One in particular offered fantastic local advice and recommendations of what to see and do. Breakfast was excellent - generous, cooked to order and available until midday. The hotel generally was a little run down with some fixtures and fittings visibly old, but everything did seem basically clean. Area is great, walking distance from some fantastic views, food and drink venues, gardens and galleries. The only real negative to comment was the building site directly next door to the hotel, which is really very loud. We know this isnt the hotels fault, and they did apologise, but heavy duty drilling and hammering etc. from 8am until 6pm Mon-Fri (plus quieter work on Saturday) was quite a lot to bear while on holiday!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. Immeuble en rénovation juste à coté de la chambre. Impossible de dormir ni même de s'entendre à partir de 8h (y compris le samedi). Chambre petite, vieillotte et très négligée (poussières, moisissures, traces sur les murs ...). Acceptable pour un 2 étoiles mais pour les 4 annoncées ! Fuite d'eau dans la salle de bain, aucune proposition de relogement. Mini bar hors service. Télévision ancestrale proposant uniquement quelques chaines Portugaises. Les photos proposées sur le site ne correspondent pas. Point positif le petit déjeuner ! Autre point négatif: personnel peu aimable. Bon rapport qualité prix si chambre à moins de 50€ la nuit, sinon à éviter.

Only criticism I have is that there was construction work right next door to the hotel so it was noisy at times. As we were out and about everyday it wasnt too much of an issue. Brilliant breakfast, good staff and the room was nice, everything worked fine.

You get what you pay for which is not to much. Uncomfortable beds, noisy surroundings and an AC that is unpredictable at best.

Hotel conforme à notre attente , personnel accueillant et faisant son possible pour échanger en français , chambre correcte , petit déjeuner très correcte, hotel bien situé proche du centre ville et de différent quartier pour découvrir la ville

No es un cuatro estrellas para nada, la limpieza d la habitación deja muxo k desear, y había una plaga d hormigas, k no podías dejar nada d comida, k se llenaba todo. No culpo al personal, seguro k no les dan tiempo suficiente para hacer la habitación, pero esque la cama la estiraban sin mas. El desayuno era correcto, pero limitado, porque aunque podías pedir algo caliente, t traen beicon o salchichas frías y secas, muy desagradable. Lo mejor el personal, muy amable y correcto, atendiendo en todo lo necesario, La zona, aunque cerca del centro, no es muy recomendable, entorno degradado y no muy seguro. No volvería !!

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights and found it quite pleasant. Location was fine and we were lucky enough to find parking right outside hotel on street (Free parking?). Comfortable if small room. Very nice made to order breakfast and the staff was very pleasant. It should be noted that my daughter and I both enjoy walking and hills are not a challenge but if you have any health problems which would make strenuous hill walking unpleasant you should re-consider this location. We would return.

Fab little hotel in a great neighbourhood, the staff are absolutely lovely- nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend :-)

It was a pleasure to be here. Nice and very helpful personal. The Hotel is close to the river and other nice places in the city. The breakfast ist good and enough.

Le seul point positif est la qualité du petit déjeuner mais ne mérite pas son 4 étoiles loin de la.

El Hotel está en una calle tranquila al lado de la Avenida.de la Libertade.El entorno refleja la decadencia de algunos edificios de Lisboa.Cerca hay excelentes restaurantes. El Hotel está un poco anticuado para 4 estrellas, pero eso lo compensa el buen trato del personal y el buen desayuno que se sirve.Recomendable por calidad-precio.

Hôtel au centre de Lisbonne mais chambre viellote et pour une suite 4* vous vous retrouvez avec deux lits de camps !! Avec deux grands ados pas cool. Contrairement à ce que prétend le site pas du tout de parking à proximité sauf la rue payante jusqu'à ... 1h. Bref pour le prix on trouve beaucoup mieux au Portugal

Två personer (ej par) i en 1.40 säng var trångt. Efter första natten med en fruktansvärt knarrande säng fick vi byta rum med en lika liten säng men utan knarr. Båda sängarna var stenhårda. Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående men vad hjälpte det när man inte kunde sova. Mycket lyhört.Mycket god frukost, man fick beställa vad man ville ha och allt var nylagat och fräscht.Bra läge precis vid Botaniska trädgården och nära till centrum.Läget ej handikappvänligt, hotellet ligger högt och antingen måste man ta en lång trappa upp eller en starkt lutande trottoar.

Personalen är helt underbara o hjälpsamma! Frukosten jättegod o rikligt m glutenfritt bröd Rummen har ojämn standard o det ligger lite avsides men allt uppvägs av hotellets o personalens charm.

Me decepcionó el hotel ya que dice que tiene cuatro estrellas y en mi opinión, se le han caído 1 y media.La Televisión no funcionaba, en el armario sólo había 5 perchas y eramos tres personas y estaba en una calle donde el tráfico era insoportable con lo que dormir se convertía en una utopía. Debería estar insonorizado tanto de ventanas y balcones como de la puerta de la entrada a la habitación.Lo único bueno fué el desayuno bufet y el personal del hotel que era amabilísimo.

Sehr gute Lage(5 min zum Bairro Alto,10 min zur Innenstadt),sehr freundliche Leute,Frühstück (bis 12 Uhr möglich..!) auch sehr gut.Fazit:Wir würden sicherlich wiede in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Dieses Hotel ist optimal gelegen - ausser der etwas lauten Strasse hat mich nichts gestört. Kann das Hotel nur empfehlen und würde sofort wieder buchen!

Estuvimos de jueves a domingo, y lo elegimos por la localizacion, muy céntrica y en pleno Barrio alto, y el precio, un cuatro estrellas por 80 eur/día. Es un 4 estrellas justo, con habitaciones rehabilitadas y baño muy bien preparado, pero con puertas y muebles un poco anticuados, y el tamaño justo de habitación. Nos pusieron en el primer piso dando a la calle y, aunque había ventana doble, tuvimos ruido de coches toda la noche, cosa que no me esperaba. Eso si, a la hora del desayuno muy bien. No tienen bufet, pero tienen un menú de lo que pides lo que quieras dentro de una amplia seleccion y te le traen rápido y fresco. Solo con la cesta de bollos podrías desayunar. El servicio perfecto, recepcionistas muy amables y todos los días la habitación estuvo impecable a la vuelta. Volvería, ya que la posición es buena, pero pediría una habitacion que no diese a la calle.

Gutes, kleineres Hotel. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück (bedient) in angenehmen Ambiente. Zimmer grosszügig und einladend gestaltet, einzig das Bett war etwas unbequem (hart). Das Hotel liegt zwar sehr zentral zwischen Barrio Alto und der Metrostation Avenida, ist aber in einer nachts etwas ungemütlichen Seitenstrasse. Von der Metrostation geht man ca. 10 Min. eine sehr steile Strasse hinauf (mit Gepäck nicht zu empfehlen). Kein Wi-Fi, dafür ein Computer in der Lobby für die Gäste (kostenlos).
