Ratio quality price is the best you can find around. The fishes we had were amazing and fresh with side dishes. Only thing to bear in mind is they accept cash only, no card.

Overall verdict: You must eat here at least once!!! They serve the best fish I ever had.
Food: They serve super fresh charcoal- grilled fish. Grilling it over charcoal really adds an extra smokey flavor to the already tasty fish. I would recommend getting the soup of the day to start your meal. They serve it hot and it's packed with flavor.
Value: I had a 10€ tuna steak which was worth every cent. For that price and such quality, the portion is incredible. I was able to finish the whole plate with not a single bone to be found. My brother had a golden fish which was just as amazing. Can't recommend this place enough. For just 1.2€ you can get their house wine and for just 1.5€, their soup of the day.
Service: We had to queue for half an hour due to the overwhelming popularity this place enjoys with the locals. The staff were friendly and the wait is definitely worth it. But do take note, they only accept cash!!!

Great local Portuguese place with very entertaining servers. I had the chicken with veggies and it was delicious, cheap delicious house wine too! Two TVs with both sporttv and eleven sports so they show everything! They do close rather early and there is usually a line so get in early!

A small neighbourhood restaurant serving traditional local food, it doesn't appear to be a welcoming site for tourists however the service is straight forward and polite. What surprises the most is the food. Sitting directly opposite the charcoal grill, you can see the chef prepping the fish and meat that sit in the display fridge by the bar. The food is humble and tastes great. The sides are simple but you can see why such an establishment has continued to operate so long with dishes that are just done well without fuss. Locals pop in to have a drink and there is a general warm convivial atmosphere that adds to the authentic experience.

Going back to Lisboa in 6 months and it's definitely going to be one of my first stops. One fits right in with the locals and tourists visiting the restaurant. Owner and staff are warm and welcoming. Don't be freaked out about the seating. It actually creates a memorable experience and is more comfortable than one would think. Let me not get started on the food. Its just WOW. Food is grilled to perfection, fresh and sooo tasty. My advice to anyone visiting the area? It's a absolutely must go to place.

Je suit désoler de vous dire que c est un endroit magique et authentique . Grillade à la mama portugaise avec des produits frais . Y aller vers 1900. Car tous part vite, mais ils y a toujours quelque chose à grignoter. Les prix sont plus que correct. Par contre il faut le trouver et grimper.

Excellent little restaurant for authentic Portuguese experience! Food was fresh and grilled to perfection. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. The old guy, at the front of the store, manning the grill....is the ultimate "grill master"! Highly recommend eating here.

Fun and friendly locals restaurant. The food is tasty and the portions are very generous for the price. It's not fancy plates, but stick-to-your-ribs comfort food. Most evenings there will be a waiting line out the door at peak times, but it's worth the wait. They open early and lunch is less crowded.

Super lecker und wahnsinnig günstig, klare Empfehlung. Ein Fisch und ein Fleisch Hauptgericht mit Wein, zwei Desserts und zwei Espresso für gute 20€ ist bei der Qualität (alles frisch gegrillt) geschenkt. Sieht aus wie ein Imbiss, hält qualitativ aber mit guten Restaurants locker mit.

Nice local ambient. Cheap price and surprisingly nice and large amount of food. We had grilled horse mackerel and Portuguese chacoal grilled chicken. They were so good. I love the fish there and wanna try more later.
Drinks were cheap and good.
Worth to try. Recommended.

Mostly locals, excellent quality and very good value. Noisy, bustling and an energetic vibe. Small and seating is close together. I have only been for lunch twice and I will go back next time

Absolutely amazing food. Very high quality and fresh for a very reasonable price. This place is catering more towards locals, hopefully tourists don’t take over! The golden fish was delicious it comes lightly fried with lemon and potato and broccoli on the side all for €8!! We also had the half Portuguese BBQ chicken which comes with chips and salad only €5.50 euros!
There was such a nice atmosphere at this place with all the locals coming and going, it can get very busy at lunch time as there really is not much space inside.
Can not recommend this highly enough for a true Portuguese experience away from the tourist scene.
Will definitely be back

Amazing local "family" restaurant.They have fresh fishes prepared on grill, price varies between 6 - 8 eur per fish, which is really cheap. Also meat options. Better come aroun 7 - 7:30 p.m. to find a place to sit. And ask for shrimps! They don't have them in menu, but sometimes you can see, they have them and these are the best shrimps I ever had.

Une typique cantine portugaise où l'on mange très bien pour pas cher. Les plats sont très copieux et on nous présente le poisson frais pour que l'on fasse notre choix de poisson qui sera servi avec de bons legumes. Pour les amoureux de la viande, c'est aussi un régale ! De bonnes viandes grillées en quantité pour seulement 9 ou 10€. Alors entre la qualité des plats, les prix bas et l'accueil souriant et convivial, on leur pardonnera volontiers les frites surgelés (qui sont tout à fait classiques et pas dégueu). A tester absolument si vous êtes dans le coin.

This is a very local place. If you expect luxurious style don't go there - the interior is a bit raw. I, however, like to discover local places and really enjoyed it - the atmosphere was genuine, with owners joking and discussing, as well as guests from the neighborhood watching football match on tv and eating dinner.
The prices are very low, the golden fish we ordered was very tasty. The biggest plus of this place is that they don't give you a plate of starters, forcing you to try it and pay for it, like almost every restaurant in Portugal - oppositely, this restaurant has appetisers, like olives and bread, for very cheap (those two 0.5€ each) and you order them if you wish so. What's also a great advantage is that the waiter shows you the fresh fish on a plate before you order, so that you see what you are ordering. Overall, I really recommend this place for an authentic budget dinner.

Awesome food, very cheap. We ate at a lot of these places the week we were there, and the food was always reliably good and cheap. The atmosphere was a little crowded, but the food made up for it completely. Also the personnel is very friendly.

Locale famigliare... dove si mangia tutti allo stesso tavolo come in una grande famiglia... Cibo ottimo... Carne e pesce freschissimi, patatine fritte fatte al momento e per ogni piatto è previsto un contorno. Il miglior cenone di capodanno che io possa ricordare... Consigliatissimo!!!

Excelente lugar donde comer en Lisboa. Apartado del centro, ofrece distintas variedades de platos. En nuestro caso pedimos un salmón grillado y un menú del día de pescado fresco al horno. Ambos platos con acompañamiento de verduras, muy sabrosos. Eso, una pequeña entrada y una jarra de 1/2 litro de vino de la casa nos costó 21€. Recomendadisimo.

Qué suerte haberla descubierto por casualidad. Nuestro alojamiento estaba a 3 minutos y buscando un sitio típico para cenar, dimos con esta churrasquería. Mi mujer pidió salmón y yo bistec de ternera. El toque de brasa y la calidad del producto hacen que todo sea una delicia. Afortunadamente nosotros no tuvimos que esperar, pero desde luego que merecería la pena hacerlo por calidad, cantidad y precio. Mañana volveremos a probar el atún y la dorada :)

W życiu bym tu nie wszedł z własnej woli gdyby nie polecenia innych... zachęcające i obiecujące. Mała, ciasna i ciemna nora z marnymi kafelkami na ścianach i... wszystkimi miejscami zajętymi przez portugalczyków. Starszy pan griluje, młodszy zbiera zamówienia, jeszcze inny sprząta i donosi dania... aromatyczne i olbrzymie!
Całą obsługa przemiła i konkretna.
Widząc jak jeden z gości pałaszuje kawał wielkiej smażonej ryby, poprosiłem o to samo... małe nieporozumienie z panem przyjmującym zamówienia, jego przekonanie, że wskazuję innego gościa i... wylądowała przede mną wielka micha zupy rybnej! A zup rybnych nie cierpię! Próbowałem ich z dziesięć i więcej nie chcę! Zamieszałem w misce łychą a zupa okazała się bardziej gulaszem z rybą, krewetkami, ryżem, warzywami i sosem... a wszystko to PYSZNE! Normalnie PYSZNE! I okazało się, że jem caldeirada. A ja nazwałem to: rybotto! Normalnie polecam.
I jeszcze: moja giga zupa, mnóstwo grilowanego mięcha, sałata, pieczywo, sery do 0,5l białego wina... za 20EUR.
Gwiazdka mniej za lekki syfik, za duży jak na knajpkę.

Just great! very good and freshly food. The prices are excellent. This is a local not touristic place so don't expect a touristy kind of service, but it is just great. Didn't like the paying for olives and bread but it sums up to be OK!

Where do I start? Okay let me say, I saw the reviews on Google and I thought there is plenty of positive reviews which can look suspicious. Well, those positives are exactly what they mean, the food is great and cheap and portions are generous. The food in my pic cost €17, we also had fresh baked buns, cheese, 500ml house wine and 2 cans of orange juice for an extra €9. Again, I must say the food was excellent, fish was grilled while waiting and so was the steak.

Fantastic food at unbelievable low prices. Do not forget to ask about the meal of the day which changes daily. We came here for meals everyday when we discovered it (sometimes fort lunch and dinner). The service is great and friendly and you will be the only tourist there. An authentic Portuguese experience.

Fantastiskt litet krypin med grillat kött och fisk till perfektion. Priserna är mer än överkomliga, portionerna väl tilltagna och servicen klanderfri. Väl värt en omväg för mat och dryck även om stället i sig inte lämnar något större avtryck.

It was pretty full when I arrived, but was able to get a seat at a shared table. Serve was pretty quick and the food was good. Grilled sea bass. There was a wait when I left. This was the busiest restaurant in the neighborhood.

Locale senza pretese, i tavoli sono da 6, quindi capita di condividere la cena accanto a sconosciuti...ma il bello è anche questo; entrambe le sere abbiamo conosciuto persone diverse e interessanti.
La carne è deliziosa e tenerissima, provate la Home Steak, una bistecca accompagnata da patatine fritte, con sopra un uovo al tegamino...sembra la sagra del colesterolo, ma devo dire che l'accostamento funziona!
Come dolce, provate la mousse al cioccolato e per finire il caffè, un po' lungo, ma più che passabile.
Il costo della cena è più che onesto, in 2 la prima sera abbiamo speso 15€, la seconda 20€.
Da provare!

무척 친절하고 맛있었어요 생선구이 전문이고 동네 맛집느낌이예요 작아서 처음에는 여긴가 싶었는데 맞거라구요 음식들 정갈하고 하우스와인도 엄청싸고 맛있어요 4유로에 1jar주네용 연어스테이크 sea bass 스테이크랑 하우스스테이크 오늘의 수프시켰는데 아주 만족스럽게 식사 잘했어요! 어정쩡하게 가시는거 추천 가끔 웨이팅 있더라구요

Sehr leckeres Essen und üppige Portionen! Der Thunfisch hat super geschmeckt, das Restaurant ist klein und gut besucht. Ab ca. 20.30 hatte sich eine lange Warteschlange gebildet. Am besten vorher da sein!

Fresh fish and fairy prices. Be ready to share tables with other customers as the place is tiny. Fish is their specialty but you can have nice meat too. Definitely the site is basic and sometimes you would prefer to pay a little more and have a better location where to eat.

Sehr leckeres, qualitativ gutes und vor allem günstiges Essen. Wir hatten zu zweit je einmal Fisch mit Beilage und einer grossen Flasche Wasser für insgesamt 18 Euro. Hier steht noch die Oma in der Küche und bereitet das Essen frisch zu. Ambiente ist irgendwie gemütlich auch wenn es eher an einen Imbiss erinnert, aber es macht einen freundlichen und familiären Eindruck was ganze recht gemütlich macht.

Nachdem wir mitbekommen haben, dass erst ab 19 Uhr Essen serviert wird, waren wir pünktlich da und hatten alle Tische zur freien Verfügung. Das Essen war super lecker, sowohl der Fisch, als auch das Fleisch. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und konnte Englisch. Außerdem war die Karte auch auf Englisch.

Los platos abundantes, me pedí dorada y estaba de escándalo con muchas verduras y en su punto y el resto se pidieron carne hecha en la brasa buenísima. Fuimos cuatro y nos salió a 10 e cada uno incluyendo postre y café. Lo recomiendo

If you are hungry and want to eat good, simple food, go there ! The place may seem bad looking but the plates are pretty big and although the food is simple, it is very good ! It's absolutely not expensive and I would recommend you to come early because people are doing the queue all night long to eat there !

Wir hatten 2 Steaks (ein kleines und ein großes) einen halben Liter Wein. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Fleischqualität war top. Als die Rechnung kam mussten wir staunen. Es hat nur 18 Euro gekostet. Für diesen Preis hätte man wo anders maximal ein Steak mit wahrscheinlich schlechterer Qualität bekommen. Kann es nur empfehlen hier zu essen.

Cannot recommend enough! This was our first time in Lisabon and we accidentally found this place as there was a queue outside. We were really lucky!
Food is fantastic, atmosphere is local as you can see from other comments, not a fancy place - but a cozy local one, with mainly locals eating. Waiters spoke English so no issues there.
Be aware - they are closed from 3.30pm to 7, we once made a mistake and went there at 4... Staff was having lunch and they were closed. But what do you think - they still allowed us in as an exception and cooked our chosen fish - which was above delicious, fresh. Not to mention the care of treating us to such a luxury. We had 3 different fish options through days and ate them with potatoes, chips, veg and rice. We also had desert and wine and it all was just great.
We ate at this restaurant 3 days out of 4, on our last day decided not to walk far from bus stop to airport and eat at a recommend restaurant around Rossio - what a mistake and disaster. We paid loads of money for food which was awful, my partner couldn't even eat the fish meal he ordered. We really regretted not going back to churasseira for the last meal.
Even if it is not on your way, try it one day - prices are good, food is great and atmosphere is local. Really lovely people ❤️

Bardzo miłe miejsce z przepysznym jedzeniem i smacznym winem. W menu grillowane mięsa i ryby, ceny bardzo przystępne. Będąc w Lizbonie nie można nie wejść i nie spróbować. Lokal na pierwszy rzut oka nie wygląda na najlepszy, jednak dania są rewelacyjne. Proponuję spróbować steka i grillowanej dorady, palce lizać! Domowa atmosfera, pyszne jedzenie, polecam z całego serca!

먹었었고 오늘의 수프, 화이트 와인 스몰잔으로 먹었었습니다. 17.70 나왔었네요. 근데 현금만!!! 됩니다. 저는 5분 걸어서 우체국쪽 atm 가서 돈 뽑고 다시 가게 와서 결제했습니다. 그리고
또 갔습니다. 대구구이(월요일만 가능), 농어구이 먹었구여 개인적으로(어머니도^^) 농어가 더 안물린다고 생각합니다. 맥주, 오늘의 숩, 올리브, 레드와인 스몰 잘(jar) 먹어서 20.10 나왔네요. 만족합니다.

Came here on 2 consecutive days for lunch. Most customers are local. There’s no fancy deco in this restaurant. But the food is very well prepared. My salmon fillet and the Monday special cod fish all are perfectly grilled and tender.

I wanted to give 4 and a half but it's impossible. I was living in a flat 50 meters next to the restaurant and I have some observations. First of all it was almost full everyday with mostly local people. When I finally decided to check it we went with my family for early dinner. The waiter show free sits next to one couple in the same table. You don't have your own table but all free sits can be shared with other people coming. We ordered shrimps which was not in menu but we saw them next to the fresh fish. They have also great steaks and fantastic chips. Prices are medium or even low. Enjoy.

Even though the review of this place is very good but sometimes you just don’t know for sure. We just arrived Lisbon and were desperate for some good food in particular seafood.. it didn’t disappoint!!! For less than 30 Eur, we got shrimp, salmon and sea bass!!! All super delicious and you can really taste the freshness.
Most shops in LIsbon are small and so be ready. When you see a shop like this filled with locals you know you are in the right place. In addition we got soup of the day for 1€! Good soup. Potatoes and broccoli are free!! What more can you ask for?!

This is a small, crowded very authentic Portuguese restaurant specializing in grilled fish and meat. Nothing fancy but very delicious. We ate there twice and both times the place exudes character. Very inexpensive & popular with Portuguese and a few tourists in the know.

This is not chic but rather a down to earth excellent restaurant where the locals meet for great food, reasonable pricing and entertaining super service. Found it on our last night of our visit to wonderful Portugal (probably would of been only restaurant if it was the first night) where we met so many friendly people. Make a reservation or wait with many others on the street.

We dined at Churrasqueira for the first time tonight (a Wednesday). I had a mixed grill which came. I ordered it with vegetables and received broccoli & beans. I enjoyed my meal. My wife had salmon and commented it was the best she had eaten. It was a busy night and tables were close so we enjoyed talking to other travellers visiting Lisbon.
We paid €20.20 for our meals and drinks, service was very friendly and helpful (I don't speak Portuguese). I recommend Churrasqueira

Przed wejściem w mojej głowie kłębiło sie kilka wątpliwości wynikających z wyglądu restauracji, czyli bardzo skromnie z połączonymi stolikami przypominającymi szkolną stołówkę. Rybne zapachy jednak przesądziły sprawę i po chwili przemiły kelner mógł przyjąć nasze zamówienie. Widząc nasze niezdecydowanie co do wyboru ryby poleciał do kuchni i po chwili wrócił prezentując świeżutkie ryby, które mogliśmy wybrać. Portugalska kuchnia stoi nie wyszukanymi daniami a produktem wysokiej jakości i tak było tym razem. Zwykła ryba z grilla z domowymi frytkami i winem i nie potrzeba do szczęścia wiele więcej. Olbrzymie porcje za dosłownie grosze. Warto!

Delicious food! On our visit we had the sea bass, chicken and salmon and all had a wonderful smoky flavor from the grill.
Expect a long wait at peak times as the place is extremely small (around 20 seats max) and the system they have to keep track of people in line is a bit messy. Service once inside is also extremely patchy.

리스본에 머무는 동안 세 번이나 갔어요. 리스본 광장 근처의 세련된 해산물 식당들 같이 촉촉한 맛은 아니고 숯불 구이에요. 근데 맛있어요. 불에 천천히 구워서 그런지 음식 나오는데 시간이 좀 걸려요. 맛은, 관광지 맛이 아니라 진짜 가정식이라고 해야 되나...?(좀 짜니까 덜 짜게 해달라고 요청하세요) 생선구이랑 오징어구이는 맛있었는데 마지막에 먹은 소고기스테이크는 별로였어요. 잘 구우셨는데 고기 자체가 조금 질김. 현지인들이 90%였고, 현지인들은 닭고기나 돼지고기도 많이 먹더라구요.. 참 여기 와인 시키면 양이 아주 혜자스럽게 많이 나옵니다~

Das Lokal Churrasqueira da Paz, R. Paz 80, 1200-320 Lisboa, Portugal ist ein kleines aber sehr feines Lokal. Äußerst freundliches Personal mit sehr frischen Fisch- und Fleischgerichten. Während unseres Urlaubs haben wir täglich dort gegessen. Ab 20 Uhr kann es voll werden. Gegebenenfalls muss man einige Zeit draußen warten. Der Service ist aber sehr bemüht, dass man zeitnah einen Platz bekommt. Tolles Lokal - obrigado!

We went by this restaurant and spontaneously joined the queue (2 people were already waiting for a table).. it took about 20 minutes but it was worth the wait! Staff is very nice, their english is sufficient - the gave us good advice what to try (not even the most expensive stuff :-) ). We had really good fish - definitely worth a visit!

This place is amazing for the amount and quality of food. It is your perfect hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Packed with locals and tourists. You probably cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Dishes run out fast so go early for nest choices. It also gets very crowded, and they do not have a good seating system. I think there is a waiting line but I never knew for sure. Situato vicino al parlamento, in mezzo alle stradine varie. Il locale è piccino, personale alla buona. Qui potrete mangiare ottime grigliate di pesce o carne fatte al momento, cucina a vista! L'attesa potrebbe superare la mezz'oretta ma ne vale la pena, non lasciatevi scoraggiare dalla location di poche pretese perché il pesce è fresco, da provare!

Návštěva této malé restaurace byla skvělým zážitkem. V nabídce bylo maso a čerstvé ryby. Tuňák i losos na grilu byly luxusní. A víno tu mají také dobré :)

Delicious food - we could choose the fish we wanted (waiter showed us fresh fish on the tray). Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. If you want to eat really good fish, that's the place you should visit. Price is also good. 8-12 € for fish veggies. 4 € for a jug (1 l) of vine.

Come molti "ristorantini" portoghesi non "tipici", somiglia alla saletta caffè di un'autofficina. Arriviamo quasi alle 16, seguendo le indicazioni e valutazioni di Google, ci dicono che è rimasto solo riso e pesce. Bene. Con garbo ci portano un pentolone rovente con mestolo, rovente anch'esso. Piatto buonissimo. Con coriandolo fresco. Mi ci ingozzo mentre i proprietari mangiano anche loro, stesso piatto ma anche con patate, e guardano una partita di calcetto in tv.
Mangiato bene, speso poco, trattato con naturalezza.

*Just a tip if you’re not from here, the parking situation here is not easy so it’s best to walk or take an uber. Also, if they ask if you want bread and olives and all that, it’s extra, not free. When people put it on the table and if you eat it you pay. It doesn’t mean it’s complimentary.* Ok on to the review! I can not get enough of this place. For authentic Portuguese food at an amazing deal, this is THE place. It’s a family owned restaurant that looks like a cafe but they offer so much food and their menu changes daily. We were staying near by and came here at least 6 times in 3 weeks. The food is impeccable! The tuna steak, the peixe dourado, the frango, the salmon, french fries, the soups, feijoada, the desserts. I could go on and on! Oh for desserts, I highly recommend getting the creme de leite and fatia dourada. The creme de leite is a delicious pudding and the fatia dourada is like this bread that’s moist on the inside and smothered in cinnamon and sugar on the outside. It’s sooo good. And the prices! Omg are you kidding me?! We’ve gone to some pricier places in Lisbon where the food quality just doesn’t compare to this place. I thought it would be filled with just Portuguese locals because of how it looks but it’s no wonder it’s filled with foreigners! It’s a gem! I miss staying in that area but driving there will be so worth it.

Nos guiamos por las reseñas y la verdad que todo un éxito. El guiso del día, estofado de carne ( como rabo de Toro) espectacular. Las patatas fritas recién hechas y con sabor a patata. La fruta con muy buen sabor. Volveremos mañana a probar el pescado, que tiene un pintaza de escándalo. De 3 días en Lisboa , el mejor sitio donde hemos comido. Y viendo como los demás comensales disfrutaban de sus platos. Super aconsejables.

Best meal for us in Lisbon. Small place, great menu. The tuna steak and seabrass were super fresh and delicious. Staff is most friendly and it's actually rock-bottom cheap.
The place was packed, but they kindly made room for 2.

Très bon endroit, le meilleur ou nous avons mangé à Lisbonne. Très familial, très typique, il y a beaucoup de portugais. Et le service est super sympa ! Je recommande vivement d'y faire un tour au moins une fois lors d'un séjour à Lisbonne.

The best restaurant we tried in Lisbon.
Wonderful chicken soup, great fish (we took the Salmon and Golden Bream). Even the cooked vegetables were perfect.
The service is also great.
Its a small local restaurant and we had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table, but it worth it, big time.
Oh, and the price... is low. We ended up with 20 Euros for 2 people..
Amazing.

For the price, this is a good bargain. I had a grilled grouper that is served with boiled potato, runners bean, and broccoli. Have half a litre of house wine. This restaurant is neat and ideal for a simple and delicious meal. Popular among local and tourists. Will come again!

This cosy little family run “churrasqueria” caters one of the best sea food in Lisbon. Go for Golden Bream (dourado) and house wine. Prices are friendly and service is attentive. Book in advance and bring cash.

Ci siamo andati la prima sera, ristorante estremamente piccolo, con pochi tavoli ma con fuori gente che aspetta il proprio turno. Pesce alla griglia squisitissimo ad un prezzo veramente basso. Il cameriere ci ha fatto penare un po' a portare pane e vino ma ne è valsa la pena.

가성비 최고입니다. 대체적으로 포르투갈 음식의 간이 쎄다고 느끼는데, 편견을 날려버렸습니다. 생선의 선택폭이 다른 가게들과는 달랐습니다. 전갱이(아지)구이와 믹스 치즈, 화이트와인 1/2사이즈, 마무리 vica까지 15.6 유로로 행복한 점심이었습니다. 믹스치즈(4유로)는 많이 아쉬웠습니다. 스타터로 스프가 좋을 듯 싶어요.

I have been in Lisbon for only 4 days but I already have been there twice. Absolutely delicious!!! It can be a bit noisy, the tv is streaming foodball and the place isn't really welcoming, but the food rewards averything!
Prices are also nice (for a fish with sides and a beer I payed 10e, and you will also get free olives for starters). Be sure to visit this place!

Super super good barbecue! This is a very warm restaurant managed by an old couple and three young waiters. They do not speak too much english, but they will show you all the dishes and meat they have for your selection. So no worrys for communication. We had a dinner of mixed fishes and also a next day lunch of mixted meat. In deed, both of them are really delicious and with large quantity, but I really recommend the fishes, and you could also take a cold coca, it's perfect! As for price, it's really cheap, just 6-8 euros for one person(drinks included). Enjoy!

great place for a casual meal! we arrived around 10pm and they were still happy to take us in. they even let us order first before we went out to withdraw cash. the dishes were simply cooked, but fresh and tasty!! it gets really busy here so come early/later to avoid waiting!

One word the BEST in Lisboa. Clearly not easy accessible. But this "undercover" restaurant got the best price value and quality of food. I've had never est French fries that much good. And the fish and chicken are really nicely cooked. This place relatively small can be quickly crowded, so come early if you are with your family. 6 people we end up at 36 euros with a bottle of wine included. Incredible.

Petit restaurant typique qui ne paye pas de mine. On a attendu 30 minutes pour avoir une table mais ça valait l'attente. Le poisson est délicieux, la cuisson et la préparation parfaites. Je vous conseille le steak de thon il est d'un fondant hallucinant ! Les desserts sont également pas mal et le tout pour pas cher... 2 plats poissons + 2 desserts + boissons pour une vingtaine d'euros...

This place is within walking distance of A Cevecharia and we went becuase the wait there was at 1.5 hrs. We were not disappointed! Everything about this restaurant was welcoming and spot-on, including prices.

BOTTOM LINE: recommended.
The fish were great, the service was excellent, the prices were very good.
We tried different things everything was great. The place is packed with locals and the atmosphere is really authentic.
This isn't the place for a fancy or romantic dinner. It does however provide great food for a very fair price.

We got here famished at 6:00 after a long day of sightseeing. Even though their listed hours say they are open they told us to come back at 6:30 or 7:00 as they weren't ready for dinner service. I'm guessing their charcoal wasn't ready yet.
When we came back they were ready for us. There were a couple of chickens going on the grill. They asked if we were having fish and they brought a platter of the available fresh fish that was available that day. I chose the perch and they grilled it so it was still moist. It came with boiled potatoes and cooked veggies. We also had the chicken which was nicely cooked and came with fries. We had a very drinkable jar of house wine. including tip it was under 20 Euro.
As the evening wore on the place filled up quickly with other tourists and locals. Quite a few locals came in for take away. An older gentleman who was hanging out at the counter eventually sat down for a dinner of braised meat. It looked very tender. I asked him what it was and he said coelho which was rabbit, the daily special. He offered me a taste but I passed.
When we left the owner thanked us for coming back and shook our hands.

Would give more stars if possible!! Very homely and local no-frills eatery, not for those looking for fancy trimmings or decor - it's all about the good! Incredible value for ridiculously fresh fish, one of my favourite restaurants in Portugal.
