I am a host that hire hostmaker and I would say handsdown stay away from them. They are the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The attitude of the employees are horrendous. They don't tell you about all the little fees until after you sign on with them. By that time if you want to cancel, you owe them $2,500. I very much regret going with hostmaker and can't wait for the year to be over so I can move to a local property management company. Stay away from hostmaker and you will be fine.

Disappointed: It seems Hostmaker is managed in a stringed cost-optimization was only in Lisbon. For a market leader I was surprised. The property I rented was not cleaned at my arrival. I had to call several times before anything happened. Communication with hosts could be improved. Mails of pictures of dirty fridges and old dirty bathtubes so that anything happened. In Lisbon there are several small local management rentals companies which do kinder, more personal and less burocratic service also on Airbnb and other platforms. Legal must-haves for AL were not at the property like a door sign.

I just can't believe the how came Hostmaker is able to bring as many great reservations and deals to my propertie. Working with them since April 2018, I couldn't be more happy!

Very low-quality bookings, unhappy guests, the house was never in a good shape when we saw it and badly cleaned, incompetent account staff, and lots of issues. WE GOT ROBBED TWICE WHILE HOSTMAKER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR APARTMENT! Cannot recommend anybody to work with this agency as a landlord or make a booking through hostmaker.

We stayed in a Hostmaker property in Lisbon for 8 days. All went very nicely. Good communication. Apartment was in great shape. Would stay with them again. Muito obrigado!

Best companies provide solutions to their clients when problems happen. If the booking software has glitches and creates errors in your calendar, your company is supposed to find an alternative and never cancel a reservation that had been already paid. That is great service, that is professionalism.
