In the midst of the barrio that bears his sobriquet there is su much to see, visit and learn from. It is very curious that in a small area there are 4 sculptures depicting Portuguese writers; that shows you the influence of literature in the country.... can you name the 4 writers?

This statue stands in tribute to Antonio Ribeiro Chiado, a 16th century satirical poet of and contemporary of Luís Vaz de Camões, another well known Portuguese poet. The sculpture depicts Chiado wearing the habits of the Order of the St. Francis of which he was a member. He is shown on he seat, leaning forward with a smile on his almost as if about to tell the punchline of a joke.
