Lovely art deco hotel in central location.Spacious rooms.Very clean.Great service.It was my partners birthday while we were there and they brought chilled champagne to our room.Very helpful staff.Continental breakfast.Room service and a mini bar in rooms.Would reccomend highly.

It is very old and dirty (curtains, carpets, blankets). Furniture is mostly broken. It stinks in the corridors and rooms. There is no wi-fi connection in the rooms, but only by the reception. Price - quality ratio is not the best at all. The only thing that makes smile is the staff who are very kind and helpfull.

Le premier atout de cet hôtel est bien sûr son emplacement au cœur de Lisbonne. Commerces, restaurants, transports sont très proches.Il faut souligner également la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel.Le mobilier un peu vétuste ne fait que renforcer le charme de cet établissement.Seul point noir, les livreurs du commerce situé à larrière de lhôtel qui déchargent les camions très tôt le matin et qui, par conséquent, nuisent au sommeil.Malgré cela, je recommande cet hôtel sans aucune restriction.

I would give this hotel a 5 for authenticity, charm and location, friendliness, room, etc, if they would serve a better and not the same breakfast everyday. The furniture is worn out and represents an old glory, but this makes thechatm the place offered. the service is humbled and great, they try and did upgrade us to a room facing the marketplace and view of the castle. Loved the place and the aging furniture, I was transported back into time. The TV (not important) had only portugiese channels (lol), liked the plastic cups vs glasses in the bathroom, definitely more hygienic than glasses, which get hand washed in the sink (!!!).

PERFECT location for pretty much EVERYTHING! The metro stations are nearby. The restaurants are right at the hotel entrance. The harbor area is a 5-minute walk. The train station is a short subway ride as are the zoo, the aquarium, museums and the LIS airport. You couldnt ask for nicer, more-helpful staff. I missed breakfast one morning due to catching an early train to Porta and, the next morning, had two staff members remark they had not seen me that morning. How awesome is THAT?! The facilities are rather dated and could use some new carpet. This property is NOT handicapped-friendly due to the steep set of stairs at the entryway sans a ramp. The singular lift is small and wont accommodate a wheelchair with ANY luggage. The included buffet breakfast is very satisfying but could use some bananas. I was upgraded to a castle-view room and found the view of the Rossio Square to be very picturesque but somewhat noisy at night. If youre looking for a reasonably-priced accommodation located just-right with an awesome staff, I highly recommend this property!

More a 3.5 rating, but there were lots of pros here. It really is in a great location to explore Lisbon (either by foot or public transport) - the view from our balcony (below) was lovely might indicate how central it is to the old town. A major bus and tram stop are in the next square over. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive during breakfast, which was also good.
The cons are really that the place is dated and showing its age as others have mentioned. One headboard in our room was loose, there was no lock on the bathroom door which meant it didn't fully close, and wifi is spotty. The TV also didn't work - which was fine, but when brought up I was just told that none of them in the hotel worked. There are a few stairs before the elevator, so not great for accessibility.
Otherwise a fine base to explore Lisbon.

ロシオ広場に面していて、大変便利な場所にあります。ロシオ広場には地下鉄駅、アエロバス（空港からのバス）と759番のバス（アズレージョ美術館前に停まる）のバス停があり、シントラ行き列車の出るロシオ駅もすぐ近く。周囲にはレストランも多いです。４ー５階のロシオ広場に面した部屋からは、サン・ジョルジェ城が見えます。内装は古く、椅子の張られた生地が擦り切れていたりもしますが、部屋の掃除はちゃんとしてあるので、個人的には問題なし。

Hotel céntrico, muy bien situado, aunque necesitaría una reforma por el estado de sus instalaciones. Hay que subir un largo tramo de escaleras hasta poder tomar el ascensor que sube a la recepción y las habitaciones. Por lo demás, bastante limpio. El personal muy amable.

chambre très spacieuse et bien équipée dommage que (à part la literie qui était impeccable) le reste était sale parce que trop vieux, la moquette, les murs,les sièges, les rideaux... aussi bien dans la chambre que dans les couloirs et la salle à manger, tout cela semblait navoir pas été refait depuis des lustres. quant aux sanitaires ils étaient manifestement propres mais tellement usés que la baignoire présentait des grosses traces grises. Dommage, vraiment dommage... je pourrais recommander cet hôtel mais en émettant ces réserves, après chacun voit ce quil est prêt à accepter

Bei Ankunft sehr freundlicher Empfang und gleichzeitig gute Informationen. Zimmer und Gänge u. Bäder bedürfen dringender Renovierung. Frühstückszimmer zwar nett eingerichtet aber auch hier nagt der Zahn der Zeit. Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein.Da alle Zimmer zu Straßen sind , recht unruhig weil Müll entsorgt wird und Anlieferungen getätigt werden. Schade eigendllich

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Metropole. Great location. Our room was upgraded to one with the view of the Rossio Square. Daily breakfast is nice and rooms are clean. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who would like to stay in Lisbon. The only issue we had was regarding a front desk staff member, Ricardo. He recommended and facilitated booking of a tour to us. Unfortunately 2 days after our tour, we had a very rude and unprofessional encounter with him regarding an issue created by the tour driver/guide. We were approached by him in a rude and accusatory behavior, stopped in the elevator. Especially when he claimed to not work for the tour company, and this matter had nothing to do with our hotel stay. Instead of relaying a message from the tour company in a polite manner, we were ambushed in the elevator with a threatening and accusatory tone. There was no apology afterwards either. It affected the rest of our stay as it is hard to feel safe in the property after such an encounter. When discussed the issue with the hotel management, there still was no formal apology. Hotel customers should not be verbally attacked during their vacation stay. A message can be relayed in a polite and professional manner either by calling our room, leaving a written message in our room to contact the front desk or simply speaking to us politely.

Recepción perfecta.Ruidos por la noche, menos de los que debería haber al ser zona céntrica.Muy bien situado. No hace falta gasto en transporte.Bus al aeropuerto a 100 metros. Metro a 50 metros. Para comer y cenar: por el arco Do Bandeira, Rua Dos Sapateiros. Comida típica de Lisboa a buen precio; donde comen los lisboetas: huid de los sitios turísticos porque son muy caros y mucho peores qie los comento. Muy bien el vino verde fresco.

The good thing about the hotel is that it is within walking distance of a lot of tourist attractions. My room with was quiet at night and I had a TV with only one channel. I wasn't able to get the free WiFi that they offered to work in my bedroom although it was working in the lobby. Despite this I'll still recommend.

A lovely local hotel in a great location convenient for walking to the river, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Alfama and Castelo and close to the Metro, the Trams and The Santa Justa Lift. The staff were fantastic, really friendly, welcoming and helpful, spoke very good English and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. If you are looking for the look and feel of a large hotel chain where the rooms are bland and the same across the world then this is not it. Some of the soft furnishings in the communal areas are a bit tired but the rooms and decor of this hotel offer a far more personal feel that, combined with the staff, mean I would definitely recommend The Hotel Metropole to my friends and would certainly return.

Cet établissement est très vétuste. Le personnel de ménage travaille bien mais ne peut pas faire de miracle. L'hôtel est stratégiquement bien placée pour faire les visites. Par contre, pévoir des bouchons d'oreilles pour les nuits très bruyantes. Il fait aussi très chaud à l'intérieur de l'hôtel et on ne peut pas ouvrir les fenêtres à cause du bruit. Les petits déjeuners ne sont pas variés : 5 jours = 5 repas identiques.

Una pena con esa buena ubicacion.
Con dedicarle un poco de tiempo y dinero, podían tener un hotel vintage aprovechando todo el mobiliario y cambiando esa pasada tapicería, los visillos, moquetas y cortinas.
Lo dicho una pena para lo que odia ser un hotel con encanto.

Che fatica per trovare l'entrata. In piazza Rossio, ha un'entrata piccola, ci siamo passati 3 volte davanti senza notarla. Per il resto tutto ok, gentilissimi e pulito. Molto comodo xchè rimane proprio al centro.

Fantástico hotel, muy bien ubicado al lado del metro. Hermosa vista al castillo y la plaza. La atención de los empleados de recepción y del desayuno son muy amables. El desayuno es muy completo tipo buffet con vistas a la plaza rossio. La habitación muy limpia, camas cómodas, la ducha con muy buena presión y artículos de baño para usar. Volveremos !

Ciò che impatta immediatamente è il senso di abbandono della struttura. Ad esempio, il mobilio (in stile e forse d'epoca liberty) necessita di un bel restauro e poltrone, sedie e divani dovrebbero essere ritappezzati con urgenza. Il personale di sala, poi, non eccelle per simpatia e gentilezza!

Worn but full of charm. The staff is friendly and helpful and gives the place a nice air. Been here two times but only in November so can’t say anything about temperature in the summer.
The location is excellent with a great view over Praça dom Pedro IV and very close to both shopping and the Rossio subway station.

Si on aime le style de la fin des années 50, l’hôtel est dans son jus, depuis le mobilier, la salle de bain. Même les taches sur la moquette sont dépoque !!! Hôtel très bruyant malgré les doubles vitrages pour les chambres qui donnent sur la petite rue derrière.Personnel très agréable mais vraiment très peu nombreux.Très bonne situation géographique dans Lisbonne

Positive features: Good location of the property, easy communication in English with the staff,, the room provided with a safe. Negative features; “Garbage “ furniture, no breakfast variety, poor WiFi connection. We got a kettle to make coffee or tea just on third day of our arrival and after our repeated requests. Tea and coffee bags were not provided by the room service. No cable TV in the room. It was no city taxes information in advance; so we have known about that at our check out. P.SHotel price is not appropriate to service provided. It is overpriced.

Location was great... price was high !! There’s only one plug on one side of the bedroom. Toilet ran all the time and considering the rust stain on the bowl it must have been for some time. Bathtub also leaked, must have a crack and is very high for older folks... this was in room 53. Breakfast was good but dining room furniture is old along with carpeting throughout... needs remodeling to bring it up to date!

El hotelesta echo un asco,las cortinas desde que las colgaron no laslbaron los muebles tienen tantos años como el hotel las camas crujenlas sabanas puedes leer el periodico atraves de ellas la moqueta de todo el hotel con manchas las sillas llenas de manchas incluso en el comedor el olor que hay por todo el hotel a el televisor esta de adorno la nevera cerrada con llave. Un verdadero desastre te cobran como un hotel de tres estrellas y le sobran cuatro.lo unico bueno es la ubicacion y la atfncion del personal que son los que sufren las broncas.es un robo .ni psgandome vuelvo al sitio.

Lo único bueno del hotel es su ubicación. La moqueta que hay por todo el hotel, incluidas las habitaciones, sucia y llena de manchas. Las paredes y puertas deben llevar unos 30 años sin pintar. El cuarto de baño de 1945. El Wifi sólo funcionaba un rato sobre las 7 de la mañana, el resto del día nada. La televisión no se veía, parecía que estaba pixcelada, con un aparato de la prehistoria (los que había en España en 1960, sin canales digitales y sin estar conectada a un satélite, sólo se "adivinaban" canales portugueses (esto nos lo confirmaron en recepción) Para subir a recepción, que estaba en la primera planta, había que cargar con las maletas unos diez escalones.
En fin, que en España ni un Hostal de segunda categoría se encuentra en tan malas condiciones. El ascensor hacía un ruido temeroso, como si se fuese a romper. El bufett pobre. Las camas muy antiguas, hacían ruido cada vez que nos dábamos la vuelta.

We liked the central position of this hotel with various transport links within walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants and a good variety of shops for those wanting them. Our large room, No. 38 overlooked the square and we had a lovely view of the castle. Sightseeing from this location was extremely easy. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful and everywhere was clean, if a little tired looking and in need of a spruce up. Breakfast provided the usual continental buffet, including bacon and scrambled egg, although the food ought to be hot. Towels were changed every day. Hot water for tea making was never boiling. The TV in our room didnt work - we were told there was a problem with the TVs in the hotel at the time of our stay. The information book in the room states that bathrobes are provided - they are not, and he information notes should be updated. Despite the few negatives, which didnt detract from the enjoyment of our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Metropole and would highly recommend it for its centrality.

Got extra free breakfast with my early morning arrival in Lisbon & was checked in right away to my room. Breakfast buffet is filling. Property is rundown. Air conditioning was barely working in hot September day in Lisbon. Somewhat overpriced but the central location cannot be beaten. The staff is very accomodating & gracious.

We checked in when it’s raining outside and it’s the middle of the night. The guy in the front desk was really helpful and patient for me to book online and then wait afterward. Inside the room, it’s super nice. A nice bed and bathroom!!!! There is no slippers and toothbrush but I don’t think it’s a problem if you have plan and luggage unlike us.

Vänlig och bra personal, men hotellet är väldigt slitet och lite ”trött”. Väldigt hård säng och sängkläderna var rena – men kändes gamla. Det var också en heltäckningsmatta som kändes lätt ofräsch – den har för länge sedan sett sina bästa dagar.
Läget däremot kan knappast bli bättre. Centralt och ”mitt i smeten”. Frukostbuffén var okej, men det fanns inte så mycket att välja på.

Esta muy bien, cuando llegamos nos atendieron y nos enseñaron donde podemos ir. El hotel incluye con desayuno muy rico que consta de embutidos, huevos revueltos, beicon, fruta, pan, bollos, tres tipos de cereales y de beber hay leche, café o manzanilla. El único inconveniente es que el baño es vintage (es del año 1917, pero mejorado) está bien pero la cisterna es del año de la pera, y la habitación muy grande y las camas muy cómodas. El servicio es muy atento, en cuanto llegamos nos ofrecieron dejarles las maletas (porque nuestra habitación no estaba hecha), nos enseñaron donde podíamos comer y lugares para ir, a parte del transporte y son muy amables ya que yo bajé un día a por almohadas y como no quedaban me llevaron a una habitación y me dejaron coger las que necesitara. Aunque es un poco difícil de encontrar, tienes que estar atent@ porque por fuera es muy pequeño y al lado hay un bar grande que le tapa la mayoría. Yo creo que está muy bien porque está en el centro, es cómodo y el servicio es muy amable.

Plus de 200 euros la nuit pour une chambre qui date de 1950 (mobilier et literie), un lit qui grince affreusement, soi-disant la télévision avec plusieurs chaines (en réalité la tv doit avoir au minimum 20 ans, une seule chaine a moitié brouillée. Séjour à Lisbonne super mais hôtel hors dâge et hors de prix (totalement injustifié)De plus, jai réservé cet hôtel en remplacement de lautre réservation que javais faite au Largo do Sé nayant pas vu que les chambres partageaient les salle de bain et sanitaire (hors de question vu létat de santé de ma femme). Résultat des courses : 250 euros de perdus sur Largo do Sé + plus de 800 euros pour un hôtel minable (soi-disant 3 étoiles).

Great location but not good value for money, no gym, no pool (as incorrectly advertised by a website), very old building.
The breakfast was OK but extremely boring.
The staff was very very very helpful and it is the main reason of 3 stars rating. Too expensive for leisure, too old for business - Wireless was working terribly and the first day I was given a room without even a table and a broken telly. I won't come back even if the staff was really good to address all my requests.

Bei Ankunft sagte man uns das Hotel wäre überbucht. Wir könnten zwei Tage hier bleiben dann sollten wir nach Belem. Belem liegt je nach Verkehr 30 - 45 Min weg von den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das heißt jeden Tag 1 -1,5 Std. Zeit kaputt machen. Damit waren wir nicht einverstanden, bekamen dann auch ein Zimmer das nicht gerade den Bildern aus dem Prospekt entsprach. Ansonsten war Lissabon sehr schön, Schade das am Anfang alles schief lief und dadurch das Hotel sehr verloren hat.

Excelente ubicación en pleno entro de Lisboa. No obstante el hotel está completamente decadente y falto de mantenimiento.
Se puede observar en muchos detalles : toallas y sábanas que deberían haber sido renovadas hace años. Televisión y mando a distancia que no funcionan. Wifi que no llega a la habitación, etc.,etc.
Precio del hotel que no se corresponde con su categoría.
Solamente a destacar la ubicación y el personal que es agradable y sevicial.

El hotel está emplazado en un lugar muy bonito, desde él se puede visitar caminando muchos de los lugares imprescindibles de Lisboa. Pasear por las calles de la Baixa, visitar el castillo de San Jorge, El Barrio de la Alfama, la plaza del comercio...realmente una ciudad con encanto!

Had an enjoyable and pleasant stay for 3 nights last week. A lovely quirky. old fashioned but comfortable hotel. If you are after posh and modern then this is not for you but if you like a place with character and an incredibly helpful staff in an excellent location then try the Metropole. Good breakfasts, clean rooms. comfy beds and an awesome view over the square - yes you need to be given a key barrel for the safe, the doors have real keys and the lift is a little small but what a nice change to uniformity of many hotel rooms.

We stayed only 1 night at Hotel Metropole, but we have really good memories here. The location of this hotel is superb right at the Rossio Square, so you can easily get Metro/Bus/Tram to travel all around Lisbon . The room was big and clean, but the television unit was very old and had only 3 chanels (who wants to watch TV if you are in Lisbon?). The breakfast was good enough to start your day. The staf especially the young man who had a night shift was really friendly and staff. He helped me to take care of my luggage and hailed a taxi to get to Bus Station.

Location location location, this hotel is at the centre of the city. I went there for the websummit two years in a row. The breakfast is not that good, scrambled eggs ok. The elevator always stop at the reception floor, even though it is one floor up from the entrance. Keys are old fashioned keys.
Take care outside when alone, you could very well be offered hash, or even coke or other drugs.
But the location is really good. Remember to ensure your taxi driver knows he is going to Rossio number 30 and not the other hotel metropolis. I would go there again if going to Lisbon again.

Top location but very noisy. Old hotel. Only clean area was the bed. Needs to be fully renovated. Furniture and carpet dirty, ripped and stained. TV not functioning. Personnel ok but not especially friendly. Breakfast disappointing. Cannot recommend.

Wie in den anderen Bewertungen geschrieben, ist es sehr lange sehr laut am Abend und es fängt der Lärm auch sehr früh wieder an. Die Lager ist super. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Durch die zentrale Lage des Hotels waren die wichtigsten Stellen für uns auch zu Fuss gut erreichbar.Die Lage hatte jedoch den Nachteil, dass es zeitweise etwas laut war. Das Hotel muss dringend eine Grundrenovierung vornehmen (3 Sterne !). Der Aufzug war defekt, undzwar schon vor Beginn unserer Ankunft. Es machte nicht den Eindruck, dass man sich zügig daum kümmern würde.

Wir waren 5 Tage im Hotel. Es liegt zentral im Herzen der Altstadt.Sicher hat es seine besten Zeiten schon erlebt, aber die Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter war toll. Das Hotel passt perfekt zu Lissabon und seinem eigenen Charme.

A destacar su buena ubicación, cerca del aeropuerto, metro, tren, paradas de bus, puerto.... pero como es lógico las fotos de las agencias o aplicaciones de viajes serán las de la mejor habitación o la última en ser reformada. El baño está en buen estado, pero la puerta de este no se podía cerrar. De la habitación decir que el uso de moqueta es un poco antihigiénico, que la televisión son 9 canales, todos son portugueses menos uno de la CNN en inglés, a parte de no ser TDT. La cama sonaba cada vez que te movías lo más mínimo y a pesar de ser invierno y tener el aire caliente apagado, en la propia habitación hacía calor.
La comunicación con el personal del hotel es muy agradable, aunque falta un cartel para poner en la puerta de "no molestar" ya que en plena siesta trato de acceder a la habitación el servicio de limpieza...por suerte estaba puesto una especie de "pestillo" en forma de gancho.

The hotel is old...but in a vintage 70s way. The room reflects it's age with granite, marble, tile, and wood accents. The accommodations are a bit dated compared to most modern hotels. (Ex. Vacuum cleaner styled wall mounted hairdryer.) The room was clean and the view was amazing. The room overlooked the beautiful Plaza Rossio Elevador with the Castle of S. Jorge in the distance. The staff was very accommodating. I went with a group to share a room but they forgot to move an extra bed. They actually placed me in a temporary room for a night. The included breakfast was great in my opinion. It provides a simple traditional Portuguese/Spanish lunch consisting of bread, eggs various thin cuts of ham, yogurt, and juices.
I would recommend this hotel if you want to experience Portugal from a unique 1970s perspective.

Pasamos 4 días en este hotel. Por lo que pagamos esperamos un poco más pero la experiencia no fue del todo mal, al final puedo decir que fue una buena estancia. Consideró que deben mejorar un poco las habitaciones, el espacio está bien pero el mobiliario algo antiguo para mi gusto.

Ganz furchtbar! Nie wieder!
Die Gardinen waren so dreckig, wir haben uns ein Handtuch genommen, wenn wir sie auf- oder zuziehen wollten. Warum werden die denn nicht mal gewaschen???
Wir wollen hier gar nicht die Flecken auf dem Teppich und auf den Polstern ansprechen..., aber die Wolldecken, die mit einem Laken zusammen die Bettdecke ergeben sind so alt und eklig wie die Kopfkissen. Die Handtücher sind uralt und grau, machten aber einen gewaschenen Eindruck. Das Bad ist alt, war aber ok. Der Duschvorhang war neu! ;)) ! Die Sessel im Frühstücksraum waren kaputt und durchgesessen und hatten üble Flecke. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, aber alles ist bös heruntergekommen, es riecht nicht gut auf den Fluren und in den Zimmern. Alle Angestellten waren super nett, immer hilfsbereit, auch in Problemfällen und in Stresssituationen! Mein Kompliment!

仕事柄世界中のホテルを回っていますが、立地条件抜群でとスタッフのレベルも高いのに、ここまで設備がショボイホテルは経験がありません。内装や家具調度品含めて由緒あるものとは思いますが、設備については近代化（モダン以前に「近代化ぐらいしてくれ」という印象）、リニューアルは必須。でなければリスボンで200ユーロはぼったぐりです。
おそらく、一見の観光客でもっているのであって、リピーターは皆無のはず。Metropol のブランドで投宿した客は「騙された」と思ったはずです。
本当にあのMetropol でしょうか。そうであれば、経営陣の良識ある再考を期待します。

The only reason I would recommend this hotel is the excellent location and the friendly staff. The hotel itself is horribly outdated. The rooms are dark, beds are very uncomfortable, carpets, curtains and bed linnen are stained, the wifi wasn't working properly in my room (I had to sit on a chair close to the door if I wanted a good connection), breakfast was very limited, etc, etc.
This hotel would need a complete and drastic makeover.

Das Hotel ist leider schon sehr abgewohnt, aber der Ausblick von unserem Zimmer war einfach unschlagbar(Burg)!!!!!!!!!Das Personal war supernett und sehr bemüht.Wir konnten nur 1 deutsches Fernsehprogramm empfangen (RTL).Schade!

evidement, la localisation de lhotel est fabuleuse, à proximité des bus, tramways et métro, mais surtout, on peut se rendre à pied en peu de temps ds pas mal de quartiers: Bairo Alto, Chiado, Baixa, Mouraria....etcLhotel fait un peu vieillot, certes, mais quelque part, ça a son charme, et ça change des hotels moodernesles chambres sont inégales, la notre etait plutot agréableLe personnel à lacceuil est plutot aidant et parle anglais, voir françaisAu total un bon séjour

Maybe a 1-minute walk from the Rossio metro & train stations and 5 minutes from Praca de Comercio. We had to move out of our first room because of a leaky AC vent, and the wifi would frequently cut out for no apparent reason. Beds in both rooms were creaky but comfortable. The staff were helpful enough, and a hot, all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast was included. A pretty good place to stay overall.

The property is in a great location in the city with easy walking access to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. That is the main thing it has going for it.Aside from that, the property is very tired. Worn carpeting, old wallpaper, stained furniture. In addition, we stayed on the 4th floor which for some reason had a nasty smell (like a cat litterbox). The other floors just smelled musty, but ours was downright bad. I actually would try to hold my breath trying to make it from the elevator to our room so I didnt have to inhale.Since we were only staying one night and had an early morning airport departure, we were willing stay there for the convenient location. Otherwise, you could do better for the money.

Nära till det mesta, hjälpsam engelsktalande personal.Hotellet är slitet men rent och charmigt - kan vara något bullrigt då det verkligen ligger centralt.Bussar och spårvagn går endast en kort promenad därifrån , massor av restauranger, cafeer, affärer runt omkring.Missa inte att fika vid torget mycket underhållning lovas, köp nåt gott på bageriet och dra dig tillbaka på rummet och slappa en stund.Åk till Castello de Sao Jorge och vandra runt och insup atmosfären och spana in påfåglarna.

mi experiencia ha sido positiva, lo único que nos ocurrió, fue al recargar la tarjeta 7 colinas, no sabíamos que no admite billetes de 20 €, para pagar una recarga de 6, tampoco he recogido en las guías que se pueden recargar varios días para la misma tarjeta, debido ha este me ha costado el desconocimiento 12 € mas. Por lo demás creo quevolveremos

This Hotel is located in the best location you can find. I Stayed for a night because my flight was leaving early next morning.Its on a big plaza on an old european style building. That comes with the hotel is old, not renovated, but rooms where very clean, comfortable bed, old TV, big clean bathroom and old shower. Breakfast was included and it was good and fresh .The young boy that worked at the hotel on the front desk, very nice, handsome and gave me the best suggestion with map included to go out around and find a good spot for dinner….The best is the location, on the plaza you find some stores like Bennetton and restaurants with local people dancing, I like it!I walked to Bairro alto for dinner, around 5 blocks, This is where you have to go.. beautiful little streets with lots of restaurants, musicians, people from all over the world, little stores to get souvenirs, and many of the big stores too.

Hôtel très bien placé, mais très très bruyant etsans ventilation dans la chambre donc chaleur épouvantable, pas de clim obligé de dormir la fenêtre ouverte.Impossible de savoir où était le syndicat dinitiative, bien sur cétait eux donc nous nous sommes laissées avoir et avons acheté un circuit ce qui est totalement inutile car on peut se débrouiller seul sansproblème. Il faut acheter la carte VIVA viagem àlaéroport.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit traumhaften Blick auf den Rossioplatz. Der Straßenlärm war auf Grund der optimalen Lage erwartungsgemäß ziemlich groß, auch nachts. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, auch das Bad war ok. Das Hotel ist in einem alten, schönen Gebäude, etwas runtergekommen, aber sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer gebucht, das leider nicht zum Rossioplatz liegt. Uns wurde ein teureres Zimmer angeboten, ohne das Upgrade zu berechnen. Auch das Frühstück fanden wir im Gegensatz zu einigen Bewertungen völlig ok. Im Übrigen fanden wir das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir haben bei unseren verschiedenen Städtetouren selten so zentral und dabei so günstig und gut gewohnt.

The location is excellent, the airport bus just stop in front of the hotel. The room and facility are very old, but compensated by the excellent location. Turn to left out of the hotel, there is a local restaurant provides good local foods, worth to try.

hôtel idéalement sité au coeur de Lisbonne sur la place du Rossio , donc proche du Barrio Alto ?du Chiado et de toutrs les animations et magasins du centre ville de Lisbonne. A proximité se trouvent les stations de métro , de bus et de tram pour rejoindre tous les quartiers et les endroits les plus éloignés . L'hôtel est également proche de tous les bons restaurants classiques du centre ville et à signaler pour les amteurs de cuisine inventive avec des techniques hyper maitrisées le restaurant Belcanto à 2 pas dans le Chiado.
L'hôtel est certes bien situé avec le charme des demeures des années 20 restées dans leur jus ...mais avec l'inconvénient du bruit sur la place (la vue est néanmoins exceptionnelle , le service du petit déjeuner (banal) est sympathique , mais impossible de décrocher un regard encore moins un bonjour ou un sourire du personnel d'accueil de jour , la nuit les personnes sont aimables et serviables

Estupenda ubicación. Las empleadas que llevan a cabo la limpieza de la habitación lo hacen minuciosamente. Pero el estado de la moqueta y de las cortinas es lamentable, demasiado sucio. Si ese aspecto se solventara, la puntuación sería mucho mejor.

Das Hotel Metropole hat durch seine schöne Lage -Blick auf das Castello und den Rossio- gleich für einen überaus gelungenen Urlaubsauftakt gesorgt.Vom Balkon der Zimmer bekommt man jeden Morgen erneut Lust,die Stadt zu erkunden.Wichtig ist hier wirklich ein Zimmer nach vorn zu buchen.Dafür muss man allerdings bereit sein Strassengeräusche rund um die Uhr in Kauf zu nehmen.

Wer eine Stadt gerne zu Fuß erkunden möchte ist hier genau richtig. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten oder zumindest die Abfahrt dorthin sind in bequemer Laufdistanz erreichbar. Die Auswahl an Lokalen für die Ruhepausen ist riesig. Und der Flughafenbus hält vor der Tür!!! Mehr kann man sich gar nicht wünschen.

Prinzipiell ist dieses charmante Hotel optimal gelegen und der Service ist genügend, d.h. ein paar Schritte aus dem Hotel und alles steht einem zur Verfügung.Zwei kleine Wölkchen muss ich jedoch erwähnen: Das Hotel sollte auf ein Frühstück lieber verzichten, denn die Kapazität der Sitzplätze ist viel zu klein, d.h. wenn man um 09.00 Uhr frühstücken will, hat man keine Chance, ausser man nimmt sein Früstück stehend ein... Und das Angebot ist auch ziemlich beschränkt. Etliche Restaurants bieten in der Umgebung günstige Alternativen.Dann wurde uns eine Touri-Karte für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel angedreht, Beim ersten Besteigen eines Trames wurden wir darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass dieses Ticket für doch EUR 18 pro Person nur auf zwei Touri-Linien gültig sind. Das personal sollte diesbezüglich besser geschult werden oder diese Dienstleistung lieber gar nicht anbieten.Im Grossen und Ganzen kann ich dieses Hotel mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

the metropol is very central situated, close to everything. despite of the central location it was not noisy. of course one have to take in account there is people on the square day and night. there is always something to look at from the balcony. we moved our armchairs so we got the panorama och the square and the jorge castle. just 2-3 minutes walk from the hotell we found a genuine portugis reataurant, cheap and really good. the hotell stuff were professional and personal, they helped us with different questions from circus to taxi and differnt excursions. the hotel is situated in a way that makes it easy to reach most of the attractions by walking. we really like this small hotel.

I was expecting a better hotel because it belongs to the chain of Metropole. I have stayed in Metropole Rome and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and modern badroom facilities plus a very comfortable bed. The bed here is from the 16th century and it sqeeks when you turn your side. The wifi is only in reception and not in the room. The ambience is very eerie. I get goosebumps every now and then. I have to sleep with all lights on.
