Overall een geweldige ervaring. Super leuk restaurant met een gezellige tuin waar wij ook gezeten hebben voor het diner.
De kaart is super. Leuke keuzes voor 5gangen diner en de wijnkaart is klasse. 1 en al portugeze wijnen, daar kom je toch voor. Nogmaals, de service was top. Compliment aan heel het team en in het bijzonder de dame met de bril die op zaterdagavond (9 juni) gewerkt heeft.
Een aanrader voor iedereen die een beetje van fine dining houdt!!! Mocht ik terugkomen in Lagos is dit voor herhalingen vatbaar!!!

Very elegant restaurant with typical novel cousine. Service is fast, kind and efficient. Waitress constantly assist you. You can either order menù with different courses or choose a la carte. Value for money.

Can't say it is not enjoyable, but I think it is now a little dated and there are much nicer restaurants in the local area that are a fraction of the cost, vert expensive. Last meal main course was cold and starter was too fussy

We came here for our anniversary, the staff here moved heaven and earth to make this a special evening. From special decorations to the absolute care they took with us it was a truly special evening. The food itself was fabulous, incredibly good tastes with beautiful execution and presentation. Every single dish without exception was an amazing event. Obviously you pay good money for this kind of evening and restaurant dos artistas was as expensive as you would expect. However we were very happy to pay this as the evening more than lived up to expectations. The set menus were also very good value being about 40% cheaper that a la carte by our estimation. A+ all round

I hate to give a lacklustre review for this place because the atmosphere was right, the service was friendly, and the presentation was great. It’s really a 3.5 stars but because the price I have to downgrade to 3. Almost every dish was either over or under seasoned, significantly, and I have never made this sort of assessment before. The venison didn’t have any sort of seasoning; the clam soup was nothing but salt, the chicken skin might as well have been fried salt, etc. This was part of the chefs menu and Portuguese menu, two tasting menus at about 50-55 each. The wine suggestions was also a bit lacklustre.

The cozy looking atmosphere and interesting menu offerings caught our eye. I am so glad we decided to go for dinner. It has been the highlight of our holiday so far. Delicious food and excellent service. We highly recommend it!

I found it a bit disappointing. There was 1 really good dish / starter, the slow cooked pork cheeks, delicious bland of tastes. But: the bread was not fresh. The amuse was tasteless. The main course, fish, was too salty, and the vegetables rather bland. The dessert, banana split, was far from refined. Service good.

Ein schönes Restaurant mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre und tollem Garten. Wir waren während unseres Aufenthalts 4 mal hier und wurden nie enttäuscht. Eine Reservierung wird bevorzugt, zu zweit bekamen wir jedoch auch spontan noch einen Tisch. Für uns war es das beste Restaurant in der Gegend und definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Oh, what a delight!
Nice and welcoming staff, good atmosphere, and tasty combinations. We had the tasting meny, 3 courses and booked again for tomorrow.

Amazing find in Lagos! We were very lucky to be able to get a table at short notice. Gorgeous menu, we had a stunning 3 course meal from the a la carte menu. Iberico pork belly with pork shoulder bon bon and a sweetcorn puree was a standout dish. Fabulous amuse bouche and sorbet. Beautiful wine and flawless service. Only let down was the bread, however the accompanying dishes of patè, tapenade and smoked butter were excellent. We're only here a week but want another meal here before we go!!!

Amazing experience, great service and one of the best dessert of my life. Only thing that annoyed us was someone brought this nice looking bread and butter plate and asked whether we want it. Turns out they charge for it. I mean you can’t just bring something over and ask like that, if we wanted in the first place we would’ve ordered it right? I’ve never been offered something and told we’d have to pay for it.

Simply amazing! Restaurante dos Artistas provided the best dining experience we have had while in Portugal.
The service was superb as the staff was extremely courteous, attentive, and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our dinner.
Which brings me to the food...outstanding. Each course was visually appealing and bursting with complex flavors. The portions looked small but were very filling and we were stuffed by the end of our meal.
Ultimately, this was a hidden gem of a culinary experience. Prices were very reasonable (comparatively) but given the selection of food and drink, you will find it hard not to splurge in order to try different things in the menu. Highly recommended this place to travellers in Lagos but you may have to book a reservation.

Amazing restaurant! We stopped in on a whim late Friday night and the staff was amazing! Willing to seat us even though they closed in an hour. The outside seating area is BEAUTIFUL! Wonderful wine, food, desserts, cocktails and staff! Can't say enough good things about this place, thank you for an amazing meal! P.S. if you love chocolate.. their smoked chocolate dessert is a MUST!

This place was a gem we discovered in Lagos on our very last day of stay. Food served in this restaurant is of excellent quality, the service and the venue both make you feel treated like a king. Prices are moderate and definitely well worth the product. Couple of taste dishes offered by the chef completed the wonderful experience we had me and my wife at dinner.

Wow, such a delicious dinner! Super cosy atmosphere at their outside seating in the yard. The food was well composed and offered some interesting tastes such as the acorn marmalade and the truffle infused cauliflower mousse. We booked a table for two a couple of hours before and got a table at 8 pm, and I highly recommend choosing sitting outside. The service could've been better, as the waiter didn't seem to know much about the ingredients when asked due to allergies. There was also a long wait for the main course. Overall a superb dining experience!

We had a beautiful lunch here recently. Sat in the outside area and had the place to ourselves which was pity because we both agreed the food is the best we've had in Lagos by a fair margin. Comes at a price of course but we expected that due to its location in the old city. Definitely going to become a favourite venue for special occasions.

Amazing Food and Romantic Location!

Amazing food and service. We got served some small extras from the chef such as a tempura fish (starter) and sweets. The veal starter was amazing. I had the turbot for a main (it was great!) And my husband had the veal. We ended it with the pistachio pumpkin dessert. Definitely recommend coming here when in Lagos, and food is reasonably priced!

We were part of a big group and our server did a great job. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. I had a great scallops appetizer and I tried different fish dishes. Everything was delicious. All the desserts we ordered were great and I liked the wine.

We had a beautiful dinner here during our honeymoon. The food was delicious and the service excellent. I would highly recommend this place. For the fine dining experience we had, the prices were very reasonable. They were also very accommodating to our specific food restrictions and allergies!

친절하고 맛은 있지만, 메뉴 나오는데 정말 오래 걸립니다. 저녁식사에서 대부분의 테이블에서 코스메뉴를 시켰는데, 저희는 먹고싶은 메뉴로 단품 주문했습니다. 근데 스타터를 다 치운 후에도 한 시간이 걸려 메인메뉴가 나왔습니다. 모든 게 좋았지만 이 점 때문에 기분이 상한 채로 나오게 되었네요.
Every single food was good while it took soooo long to get them. I’m not sure if it’s because we didn’t order dinner course menu (cuz the tables with course menu got their main dish before us even they came after us), but it literally took 1 hour AFTER we finished our starter even though the restaurant wasn’t full. If you got plenty of time & patience, recommened, if not, choose another restaurant.

Aspiring to fine dining, still needs a lot of improvements.
I visited this restaurant with my partner without previous research, as it seemed to offered typical dishes of the region with a fine dining twist. We chose algarve menu set, which consisted of 5 dishes.
The amuse-bouche that we received after the arrival was excellent and set our expectations at pretty high level.
The courses were very uneven. The fish soup was excellent and not too fishy (no pun intended), pomegrade sorbet very refreshing, cod perfectly cooked.
However usually less is more and there was too much going on in the dishes (and still they missed some taste notes to be balanced). Seared mackerel was pretty bad and had just strong fish taste with nothing to counter that taste.
Food-wise I would rate it 4/5, but then comes the service, which was terrible.
At first it was okayish with waiters not removing empty plates promptly enough and one case when the waitress literally threw the plates on the table and ran away, but as the service progressed and more people arrived it only got worse.
All the staff were chaotically running around like headless chicken with no plan or oversight. A woman who I think was the maitre d'ouevre only welcomed new guests and didn't do much else.
First 4 courses arrived fairly quickly, but then we waited 20 minutes for the dessert because the waiters were too busy tending to new guests and forgot about us. Other clients who came soon after us were also forgotten and waited the same amount of time for their bill. Horrendous.
Although the food was above average quality, I can't honestly recommend the place as the prices are a bit steep and the quality for what you're paying simply isn't there.

Its hard to reach the top and its even harder to stay there, but the people at dos Artistas show you it is possible! Year after year, they keep surprising us! Great food, great atmosphere and oustanding service! You cannot visit Lagos without esting at dos Artistas!

Very good for an old school fine dining experience. The service alone merits five stars, these are people at the top of the food service game. The food was delicious with very interesting flavor mixtures if not just a little overly elaborate (I don’t need “foam” or “mousse” on everything). We received many more courses than we were expecting including bread and dips, amuse bouche and sorbet so all in all it was a very decadent meal. It’s a really fun experience for a special night out. Pricey but you get what you pay for. We both had the pistachio encrusted turbot with parsnip puree which was ridiculously good.

Lo mejor los camareros que son muy buenos. La sopa de pez saladisima pero buen sabor de fondo. El filete de carne escaso caro y soso. La cena más cara en 10 días de viaje las tenías ser la especial fue un desastre.
La pasta salada y pasada. Las vieiras muy sencillas. Hay restaurantes mejores más baratos. 100€ 2 personas muy caro ( sin vino :00) como como lo mejor el servicio

Tout est parfait. Cuisine gastronomique à prix raisonnable (menu 5 plats entre 40 et 50 euros). Heureusement que les portions ne sont pas plus grosses car on était vraiment très repus en sortant ! Attention si vous prenez un café / thé il vous faudra entre un peu de place pour les petits biscuits et la glace de l’après- dessert :-) Le service est impeccable ( serveurs très attentionnés et bien formés pour ce type de restaurant).
Le cadre ( intérieur et extérieur) est vraiment agréable. Tout est bien maîtrisé.

Servicen er upåklagelig, men kjøkkenet er skuffende og en del av rettene er direkte smakløse og kjedelige. For et sted som etterstreber seg et såpass raffinert nivå bør matopplevelsene stå i stil, hvilket de ikke gjør. Faktisk var ingen av de fem rettene vi fikk servert virkelig gode, selvom de var forsøksvis pent anrettet.
Etter noen dager i Lagos vil jeg si det finnes langt bedre og mer interessante matopplevelser i byen enn dette - både i samme og langt lavere prisklasser.

**This restaurant has made my list of top 5 restaurants of all time.** Delicious food and excellent service. We ordered a variety of dishes.. from scallops to beef tongue, to risotto, and shrimp. They were all so tasty. I highly recommend making a reservation here. A little pricey for Portugal, but they proved it was definitely worth the money.

Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht immer. Service zuvorkommend, höflich und nett. Tortellini zu hart, lauwarm und zu wenig im Teller. Auch Fisch war nur lauwarm, Beilagen wie früher „nouvelle cuisine“, was nicht motivierend ist. Eher nein.

Been coming here for many years, it's probably our 8th visit. For me it's one of the best restaurants you could ever wish to go to, the food is amazing, wine choices outstanding and the service is impeccable. Anyone visiting Lagos or surrounding areas must go here. It's phenomenal, perfect.

This is a great restaurant in the city center of Lagos. I was there for lunch for their three course lunch and it didn't disappoint. The tomato, mozzarella and arugula with balsamic starter that I had was one of the best in the world (they had some special cheeses). After that I had a mushroom risotto that was cooked to perfection. And I ended my meal with a delicious mango parfait with chocolate sauce, which was more like an ice cream. As it's usually the case in fine dining restaurants, the portions were small, but it was enough food for me. Service was impeccable.

Petit bémol pour le pain déposé sur notre table sans demander, en fait payant. Mais ceci est pardonné par l'amuse bouche et le pré-dessert gratuit ainsi qu'un petit sac de friandise offert

My husband and I dined here last night and had the best experience!
We sat on the adorable patio for dinner and received exceptional service by all staff. Polite, knowledgeable, professional, and very very kind!
We ordered the red pepper soup and lobster bisque soup to start - both delicious.
The white wine recommended complimented our dinner very well. We then had the beef filet and seabass filet as entrees, both of which were cooked to perfection.
We choose the variation of desserts which was again absolutely amazing!
This restaurant made our food experience in Lagos unforgettable. We will be sure to recommend this wonderful restaurant to others and return next time we come back to Lagos.

Excellent restaurant ! Entrée, plat, dessert et thé pour nous ce soir. Nous avons savouré chaque plat. Très beau choix et belle finesse dans les plats. Le cuisinier qui vient discuter à la fin du service et des serveurs nombreux et compétents. Belle carte des thés et cave à cigares sont les petits plus très appréciés.

Tra i vicoli di Lagos questo bel ristorante offre un servizio di lusso. Ha uno splendido giardino interno arredato con stile. I piatti sono ricercati, ricette particolari con abbinamenti bizzarri ed incredibilmente buoni. Anche l'aspetto estetico del piatto è curato. Le porzioni sono da ristorante di lusso come lo è il prezzo.

Très bonne combinaison des saveurs, un des meilleurs restaurants du sud du pays. Service et accueil parfaits. Salle et terasse très bien pensés, avec un design classique.
Recommandation: Menu artistas supreme 6 courses

Un gastro à Lagos avec un chef anglais ça surprend parfois (soupe carotte vanille en amuse bouche les enfants sont pas fan )

Nous sommes allés dîner dans ce restaurant à l'occasion de mon anniversaire. Nous avions pris un menu de 4 plats, qui s'est avéré bien suffisant pour nous. Les plats étaient originaux et raffinés. Le service est agréable et discret, le cadre chaleureux. Une bonne adresse de Lagos pour un diner de qualité tout en étant accessible niveau prix.

Ambiente requintado, elegante. Serviço competente e também elegante. Comida muito bem confeccionada e sofistixsda. É, sem dúvida, a revisitar.

We had a fantastic evening, great wine and food. Six course menu, with both white and red wine. Though, the waiter couldn't really give any pure recommendations for the wine, we got hold of some really good ones.
Nothing to get disappointed about, recommending the backyard for warm summer evenings, both romantic ones or with friends.will definitely recommend anyone this fantastic place. Price is above the area, but so is the place, the food and the service, well worth it!
