Just returned from HPB Rocha Brava and had some lovely meals out. However the restaurant we went to twice was the Alfanzina which was excellent. The food is superb, the staff are very professional and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is really good. Highly recommended and a restaurant we will return to next time we are at Rocha Brava or Carvoierio.

Super evenings, lovely atmosphere, delicious tuna carpaccio, great fresh fish, clams, desserts, lovely talking to the owners about their wines and food and their plans for the restaurant. In tegenstelling tot zijn concurrent Julio's
100m verderop waar het eruitziet of je in een 3 sterren restaurant zit,maar niet beter eet dan in een gemiddeld eetcafé.

Very attentive staff, couldn't do enough for us. They were happy to use our gluten free roll due to a dietary need.

Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Auf die Empfehlungen des Hauses sollte man sich nicht unbedingt einlassen. Hauswein weiß, war uns zu grün. Der empfohlene Fisch (Rabenfisch) zu trocken. Die Pause zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang stark an der oberen Grenze. In Summe ein schönes Ambiente und sehr bemühtes Personal.
Wir würden wieder kommen.

Two excellent meals, tremendous value for money, friendly and efficient service. These guys have experience in some serious venues in Mayfair, and it shows. Only regret we didn't find it earlier. Highly recommended.

Das Restaurant ist ruhig gelegen mit einer schönen Außenanlage. Wir waren zweimal in diesem Lokal beide mal habe ich gegrillten Fisch gegessen, beide waren ausgezeichnet. Der dazu empfolene Hauswein war eine gute Empfehlung des Hauses. Der Service ist überaus zuvorkommend, sehr schnell und aufmerksam. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Wir waren 2 Mal zum Essen in diesem Restaurant. Das Ambiente war beide Male wunderbar. 1 Mal gab es sogar Live Musik. Das Essen ist köstlich und der Wein lecker. Danke für die 2 schönen Abende

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, staff extremely pleasant and welcoming. Restaurant very clean and food was amazing, chose piri piri chicken and fish skewers, both highly recommended, and advised as it was being cooked fresh there would be a wait, but well worth it. Swing entertained the youngest whilst waiting for his dinner.

Excellent food, great service and friendly staff.
We visited the alfanzina two times, both times off season. Each time service was perfect and the food was outstanding.
The atmosphere is calm, and nice and typical local dishes are being served.
I can recommend to try their fish and seafood dishes. Since those are freshly made you may have to wait a bit longer it is definetly worth giving it a try. I tried the seabass and the seafood rice, both were among the best meals i had during my vacation. Next time I am around I'll surely visit again.

Great place. Spacious area gives the place a nice breeze, helps you avoid the heat. Authentic food that has high quality (not like the overly touristy menus / food quality found in most places on algarve). Will definitely visit again. Small play ground that can been seen from the tables occupies the kids :)
