Lovely place to enjoy some big portioned food. The steak and the salmon were really good. My favourite was the dessert menu, bread pudding and forest cheesecake were to die for. All the staff and the owner were super friendly!

after the second attempt we finally got to eat at Mullen‘s (it was booked out the night before). and the wait was worth it. food was delicious (I had the beef mosambique - spicy but great- and my husband had the tuna, which he enjoyed very much). the staff is friendly and quick. would def. go back there.

I came here, a few minutes before they closed the kitchen... not sure if that effected the quality. I ordered the tuna. It was probably the worst tuna I’ve ever tasted. It was huge portion, but dry, bland and lacking any unique flavor. It came with snow peas and carrots which were equally, dry and bland in flavor. It came with 2 mushrooms , which were nice. Also came with backed potatoes which were boiled to perfection. Total cost of meal... €13.25 for the tuna + beer + coke = €17.25. Definitely wouldn’t come back here to a meal. But it’s great for cheap drinks and the owner and staff are extremely nice people.

One of the ten best pubs on this planet, I've attended so far. Good food, fairly priced, drinkable beer & wine. The staff makes you feel like being home. Notable music events on Tuesdays. Recommendation!

원래는 앞 가게를 방문하려고 했는데 겨울 시즌이라 오픈을 안해서 ... 우연치않게 들어갔는데 분위기도 너무 좋고 맛도 좋았어요. 가격도 저렴하고 치킨이 특히나 바베큐 숯불향이나서 굿굿 !_! 치킨 추천해요!!!!!

Alan in charge tonight did not notice the poor service to our table. We had to call for mains plates to be cleared. No offer of desert or tea or coffee. No nice greeting when we confirmed it was our second visit. Outside sign faded, like this bar and food. No apology, even though all this was brought to Alan's attention. Needless to say no Tip. Only tip is avoid. Ann and Joe.

Un sitio especial, con muy buen ambiente y comida riquísima: pollo piri-piri (súper recomendable), pollo pesto, sopa del día (fue de pescado) riquísima, y finalmente... un home-made bread puddin impresionante, recién hecho y buenisimo!!! Muy buen lugar para cenar :)

Nice staff, tasty food!
We stumbled upon Mullen's and decided to eat there after reading the good reviews and we are not disappointed!
Service is quick, food is very delicicious (we had steak with pepper sauce and the duck in orange sauce), cocktails and wine are tasty - perfect!
We hat a quite long chat with one of the waitresses, all the staff is very friendly, not stressed at all even when tables are full.
Recommendation :)

What a disaster. Been waiting 1 hour for our salmon and piri piri poor dishes. No one even came to apologize. Never again. Food was oily and for sure not like described in the reviews. Unbelievable that we fell to this tourist trap. And we weren't the only one, all the other tables were waiting the same time or more.
Answer to the Owner: There wasn't a bit of wait. i waited 30min for the entree dish, then canceled it after id didn't arrive. than waited more 30 min to the main dish. The apology came 1 hour after order has been made. the tables around me were miserable and hungry. If your restaurant is not suitable for so many people, so don't take any reservations. we did not drop by and had expectations. and would you like to say something about the food? it is also because it was a busy night? No. I won't come back, but thank you for the answer

Food was incredible, and prices were very reasonable. Cocktails were excellent and we were even given a small glass of complimentary port which was excellent as well. Full marks. Everyone left happier than we arrived.

We showed up on Saturday night. The hostest told us about 30 minutes to be seated. We decided to wait, and waited at the bar, but it ended up taking about 50 minutes to be seated. We had drinks at the bar and brought them to the table when we were seated in the garden. There are about 5 tables in the garden. We waited about 15 minutes at the table without even getting a menu. We eventually asked the waitress for a menu, and she apologized as though she thought we had already ordered because we had drinks.. really? There are 5 tables in the garden and she was the only waitress, how would we have ordered?
We ordered the duck, tuna, swordfish, and salmon of the day. The tuna was cooked well, but the duck was very greasy, the swordfish was not fresh, and did not taste well at all.
Overall this was not a great experience and we will not be returning.

Super adresse. On a diner dans la cours à l’arrière près du barbecue. Les viandes étaient de qualité et parfaitement cuites. Accompagné de généreuses portions de légumes et pommes de terres grillées.

Food is okay. Nothing extraordinary in this area. The service was okay as well except a little chaotic. They forgot to bring us starter, then to give us change back. Also they accept cash only.

Great spot. We went for the piri piri chicken and we were not disappointed. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Plenty of cocktails on order. Duck pate as an appetizer was creamy. Staff were very friendly, though I didn’t see them as often. Awesome atmosphere - live music and I was even invited up to sing!

Came here for dinner and sat in the garden out back. Nice and relaxing shaded area. The grill is back there too so you can see them grill all of the food. Servers were all friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Would recommend to others and go back.

De sfeer van het restaurant is erg leuk. Wij zaten buiten, waar ze het vlees op de buitengrill grillen. Jammer genoeg, wordt het vlees van te voren klaargemaakt en in een bak gestopt die het vlees warm houdt. Hierdoor was mijn kip Piri Piri, wat totaal niet pittig was, erg droog. Ik heb nog nooit zulke droge kip gegeten. Ook had de kip een erg verbrande smaak. De ‘salade’ was niets meer dan een plakje komkommer op wat slablaadjes met heel erg veel balsamicoazijn. Ik snap dan ook niet hoe dit restaurant zulke goede recensies krijgt en waarom deze in vakantiegidsen wordt aanbevolen.

3 stars Fordi det var for koldt indenfor, 2 gange måtte vi bede dem om at dæmpe air con vi er i november, maden var lidt for kedelig, de spillede høj gammel jazz fra 40 'erne mens vi spiste mad!! Hvis man man kan lide det fint fint!!! Jeg synes det var lidt kedeligt at høre høj gammel mans jazz mens jeg spiste min aftensmad!!! Ellers husk kontanter god aften ❤

Ich besuche das Mullens schon seit Jahrzehnten. Nehme immer wieder Freunde mit, und bisher waren alle begeistert ! Egal ob während der Woche, am Wochenende, Weihnachten oder Sylvester. Ich fühle mich wohl, mir schmeckt das Essen und ich werde immer freundlich und aufmerksam bedient. Ich komme wieder !!!

Specialises in (pre-cooked) chicken barbequed over an open fire. Sounds and smells great but our's was very dry and scrawny. Wine was ok. Service ok except for one lazy girl but it feels like a "chain" (though it's not). Shared tables. Cheap.

피리파리 치킨과 오늘의 생선이었던 sea bass 주문. 음식 맛은 이 정도면 훌륭했지만, 옆 테이블에서 시키던 튜나스테이크가 정말 맛나보였음. 친절하고 서빙이 빠름. 영수증 첨부합니다.

We were two people and sitting at a table for 10 minutes and they forced us to move away when a bigger group arrived after us. Very unfriendly staff. Not recommend!!!

The portions are small for the price. The wait is too long to get seated, even if there were empty tables all around. Overall mediocre. Would not recommend.

Food was excellent, staff were polite and friendly. Service was lacking ever so slightly but that was due to the size of our party most likely. We waited over an hour for our mains. I feel kinda bad marking them down for this but it did let them down a little. That said good was hot and delicious so I may be being harsh. 4.5 out of 5 for sure and would definitely go back.

Real shame we had heard lots of good reviews about this place but sadly couldn't make our reservation the day before as one of the young children was unwell. We called several times and left a couple of voicemails to try and change the reservation but we had no luck getting through and no call back after the voicemail messages. I then called the following day to try and book it for that evening, I believe it was the owner who answered and he followed by telling me that I should have tried harder to contact him and he was disappointed with us. I then said we had tried calling several times and left voicemails which he responded by saying we don't check voicemails here I should of called more. Also admitted he saw our missed calls whilst driving but for some reason didn't feel the need to call us back when he had stopped driving? Very strange way to speak to a client, safe to say we will take out business elsewhere!

We ordered steaks. Came to us very tender, but the highlight was the peppercorn sauce. Still can taste it. Heaven. Side of vegetables was basic but fit my taste for a steak. Why get fancy? The steak is the star here.

This place is pretty cute and cosy inside, feels authentic Portuguese. Food was good but not amazing I had fish which was very good. But my partner had to ask for more meat after being given half a chicken that had almost no meat on the bone. Staff initially where not very accepting of the complaint, but in the end was sorted.

Das"Mullen's" ist super gemütlich und ein sehr atmosphärisches Restaurant. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, aufmerksam und für jeden Spaß zu haben, was das "Mullen's" schon grund sympathisch macht.
Das Thunfischsteak und der gegrillte Seebarsch waren klasse. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen hierbei war, dass die Beilagen, namentlich Erbsen und Karotten, wohl Tiefkühlware waren. Die Vorspeisen - Faglio und Shrimps-Cocktail - waren ebenfalls nicht so gut und für Qualität und Quantität verhältnismäßig teuer.
Alles in allem ein tolles Restaurant mit Luft nach oben beim ansonst schon guten Essen.

Sehr schlechter Service, Touristenabzocke, auf Gästeservice wird kein Wert gelegt. Am Hähnchen war nichts dran. Der Eigentümer hat weder Interesse an seinen Mitarbeitern, noch an den Gästen. Das Restaurant weiss, dass Gäste teilweise nur einmal in das Restaurant kommen, daher ist es egal, wie das Essen ist. Niemals Piri Piri.

We are there on a Thursday and ordered the filet steak and the fish. They did not store their meat properly and the entire party got the worst food poisoning along with our friends who ate there the same night. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We came in at 8:30 on a Friday night and were seated (2) by 9:30. The service was great, the drinks were tasty, and the food was delicious. One note, a fairly simple cocktail order (Manhattan) couldn't be handled by the bar... Strange. Otherwise, the place is great. The patio out back is actually even better than the inside in terms of atmosphere. They grill back there, and it smells awesome! Definitely check this place out!

The decor of the restaurant matches the quality of the food, bland and familiar. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't bad, then again it wasn't good. The best way to describe it would be that weekly Sunday meal your mom would cook. When surrounded by so many quality restaurants the only reason to eat here would be to eat the same food you left back home.

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon in Portugal and we really enjoyed it! I had the filet steak with pepper sauce and she had the Beef Mozambique. Both dishes were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Would recommend to anyone visiting Lagos.

We book a table at this restaurant and it was still available even though we were 20 minutes late so this is a plus. I had a very good sirloin steak with pepper sauce and side vegetables and a pint of beer, the price was ok (about 17€ per person). The waitress spoke a very good english, I think she was mothertongue.

very professinal english speaking (native) staff. both fish and and meat dishes are great. bbq in the backyard. the surloin steak was wonderfull, so was the tuna. this might be the best place in largos. the housewine is recommended, both red and white (yes we had plenty). go eat here. i think ill be back tomorrow.

Não gostei porque fui atendido em Inglês, o restaurante é em Lagos, Portugal a primeira língua que devem abordar o cliente é sempre em Português.
Não gostei da comida, pois sem alma, é pena porque a nossa gastronomia é tão rica e, se querem servir só os turistas deveriam de dar a conhecer a nossa gastronomia.
Não gostei da simpatia das funcionarias, no final paguei um preço bastante caro face à qualidade,
Restaurante mesmo sendo só para turistas, muito mau...
Gostei do espaço e decoração, agradável.

Terrific food, terrible service. They forgot our order for over half an hour. When we had finished our food, they offered a glass of port on the house without apologizing. Then the port took another 15 minutes, then they lost our bill and asked us to confirm everything we had. Wouldn't recommend.

Recommended by a local and we weren't disappointed. Amazing food and one of the best places we ate in Lagos. Booking advised as they don't have many tables but check this place out. Don't let the cheesy menu descriptions put you off as this place is class.

Properly done Portuguese cuisine with excellent service. Beautiful atmosphere coupled with live music perfectly suited to sipping on a glass of wine or enjoying any of the main courses on the menu. Can't go wrong with with either the Piri Piri or pesto chicken. The tuna was a revelation topped with ginger and cooked to perfection. A true gem in Lagos.

Incredible food, great service, and awesome atmosphere. Ended up eating here twice because of the experience. Between both nights, we tried 3 different main courses(swordfish, Piri Piri chicken, beef Mozambique), 3 different appetizers(bread/olives, caprese salad, tomato/carrot soup), 3 different desserts(whiskey and bread pudding, lime cheesecake, chocolate mousse), and 2 wines(house red, house green). Every dish was stellar. There was a great looking patio, but it was a bit chilly on both nights to attempt. We lucked out with a table on the first night, but we made reservations for the second night and I would recommend you do the same. It's a packed house from ~1900 to 2230. Enjoy!

The food here is amazing! We had the piri piri chicken and Mozambique beef. All the staff (were served by 4 different people) were very friendly and welcoming. The sangria was delicious and atmosphere was great.
