Loved this place. We found it by accident our first night in Lisbon. It is small, cosy, and the food and music were excellent. Great service and the owner is very present. The only downside is that I don’t see how we will do better than this. Thank you so much, you made our night very special!

Eu não sei nem por onde começar a explicar como foi minha experiência. FOI MARAVILHOSA. Fiz uma reserva no dia 29/12 para comemorar o aniversário do meu marido. E tudo foi incrível. Preparado com cuidado, com carinho, desde o nosso nome no quadro de giz. As comidas, bebidas, as conversas, o fado explicado pelos participantes e ao final deram um bolinho com uma velinha e todos cantaram parabéns para ele. Não lembro o nome da menina que nos atendeu, mas ela é incrível e eu queria MUITO agradecer de coração a tudo que ela fez. Foi uma noite para ficar na memória. Vocês são demais! <3

The food was superbly done, there is plentiful selection of wines and the prices are very fair for the great quality that is provided. Also after talking with the owner about the quality of the fish and meat i understood the effort made to deliver premium quality food by purchasing local fish and meat. The tuna was from Atlantic Ocean Portuguese region Azores and with a bit of study into the region you know how clean is the water in those Islands and the beef also came from grass fed open pasture cows from azores. The rest of the meat came from local producers in the main land and the vegetables she tried to get from organic farms across Portugal. Most people would advertise that fact to explain that you're paying for premium food. But they provide a fado show and the food delivery is top notch you don't even need to be aware of that to understand that your getting more than enough for what you're paying. A meal that deserved 5 stars for quality, food confection, presentation and customer service, the amazing show add that extra cherry on top that would give it an extra star for being more than a dinner, since it's an actual fado house in the heart of fado Lisbon.

É o local ideal não apenas para quem quer comer bem, mas para quem respeita e aprecia o fado tradicional. Eu não esperava ficar tão emocionada, gostaria de agradecer e desejar muito sucesso para a casa. Também gostaria de ressaltar que o prato sazonal de atum selado estava divino! Aconselho a fazer uma reserva.

It was okay. Very expensive considering the service. The owner went around to everyone except us (including people who arrived after us) talking about Fado. When we were leaving at 1120pm he was sorry he didn't get around to us but by then it's too late. While you can’t compare as the restaurants are so different for what it’s worth we went to JNCQUOI Asia the night before had it was cheaper, had better more personalised service, food was exquisite, and we left feeling amazing. Left here not feeling like it was money well spent.

We visited O CORRIDO three months ago and I still receive daily inspiration, given to me from the owners of this restaurant. The atmosphere, the food, the wine, and most importantly the beautiful music brought to you by professionals. It is an unforgettable experience, that money can’t buy. Thank you Claudia and Filipe for brining us this great place to share good memories. We will make the journey back to this gem some day.

Great music, amazing atmosphere, one should totally stay after midnight - the music is getting better and better. For a fado house the prices are decent and you should remember that’s the way you pay for the music. Incredible experience. The food and the house wine - very good!

Our first night in Lisbon we arrived at around 5PM! Checked in and dropped off our stuff at the hotel. My wife searched for a place that serves good food and has authentic Fado. She found O Corrido. It was the perfect night and a great experience. Five stars for the waiter who was multilingual, very detail oriented, friendly and explained the concept very kindly. Also questions about the dishes on the menu he was absolutely able to answer right away. Compliment to the chefs who cooked for us the beautiful and tasty dishes. The highlight: Fado! Touching, entertaining performance, interspersed with conversation about the art form with one of the co-owners (who was also performing when not attending to guests). A truly multi-talented group of folks are putting much love and care into this place, and the experience they offer. One minor negative thing to say about the place: No card payment is accepted, meaning you are only able to pay cash.

Hallo liebes O Corrido, vielen Dank für die tollen 4 Stunden in eurem Restaurant. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und sympatisch. Das Größte war aber eure Fado Performance. Es war mein erster Kontakt mit Fado und es hat mich überwältigt. Auch wenn ich kein Portugiesisch spreche habe ich die Emotionen der Fado Sängerinnen und Sänger sehr intensiv gespürt, so dass ich Gänsehaut gekommen habe. Auch die Gitarrenspieler sind echte Künstler die auch ohne Fado Sängerinnen den ganzen Abend mit tollen Klängen hätten füllen können. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Obrigado!

Wonderful, the Fado, the food, the service, everything. This was our first time experiencing Fado and even though we know far to little Portugese to understand, we where drawn in to the music and had an evening we wil not forget. I’m celiac and can be a bit of a challenging customer because of that, this was not an issue at all. Our waiter had full knowledge about all the dishes, double checked with the chef that everything I ordered was gluten free, was nothing but friendly, helpful and patient. He even let me know wich of the dishes my BF ordered was gluten free so it would be easy to taste and share among us.

È di certo un’esperienza magica ed indimenticabile, quando penserò a questo viaggio potrò ricordare questa serata. Locale accogliente, personale gentilissimo, cibo ottimo dal salato al dolce. Tutto intervallato da spettacoli di vero fado. Emozionante. Il proprietario è uno dei musicisti ed ha incentrato il locale sul fado tradizionale, niente a che vedere coi posti turistici. Abbiamo chiacchierato a lungo coi proprietari e anche con gli altri ospiti, si era creata un’atmosfera familiare. Non perdete questa esperienza! Spero di tornare presto ❤️

Une cuisine délicieuse, des propriétaires adorables, conviviaux, qui prennent la peine de venir vous parler et vous expliquer leur vision de la restauration et du fado. Et que dire du fado, quelles voix incroyables, un vrai moment de pure émotion. Du partage, de l'émotion, de la très bonne cuisine (mention spéciale à la morue confite et au dessert à la fraise).

This is a fantastic restaurant (recently open). We were looking for an evening with Fado music and were lucky to stumble into O Corrido after a dismal experience at another fado restaurant in Alfama. The owner (Phil) is a professional fado guitar player, his wife sings, and the other couple that works with them also play and sing. On top of this they bring local talent from Alfama: young people who grew up in the fado culture. As the other reviews say, Phil does walk around and talks to guests explaining the history of fado and answering questions. We only had drinks and dessert, but the food looks delicious. It's a small space with about 40 seats across from the Pantheon. 200% recommended..

Very nice place. We only had a drink but it was the best gin we had during our stay. There was a fado concert and they invited us inside to enjoy it. We had a really great time. It's a shame we had already eaten because it smelled good ;)

Everything was fantastic! The fado singers, the food, the Porto dry wine. They know how to make you feel good. They deserve at least 10 stars :)

Filipe and Claudia are among the most wonderful people we have met during our travels. They are extremely talented and passionate about Fado music which is inspiring. During their breaks they visit each table and get to know who their audience is. Because of this the atmosphere is extremely inviting and personal. If you are in Lisbon take the opportunity to meet these lovely people. I do not have enough kind words to describe our experience. Thank you for making Lisbon such a special place for us. We will meet again soon all the way from Pittsburgh!

Stumbled across this place when walking through Alfama and was absolutely blown away. The owner has such an amazing passion for Fado, he spoke to us of the traditions, instruments, history of the art. He also runs free fado guitar lessons for the local Alfama children, to inspire their passion and keep the music alive. An absolute MUST!

Allez, je poste mon premier avis sur internet pour cet endroit qui mérite réellement d'être découvert! Il vient d'ouvrir, on a hésité avant d'y réserver une table et on a été totalement conquis : une salle epurée, chaleureuse et classe à la fois. Un personnel très sympathique passionné par le fado. On sent une histoire dans ce bel endroit juste parfait pour découvrir le fado autour d'un bon repas. Le prix de 30e minimum (en tout cas ce soir) est tout à fait légitime ...et les derniers petits doutes qui aurait pu substister s'envolent quand on voit arriver les belles assiettes et surtout quand on entend les premières notes de musique et de ses voix qui vous prennent aux tripes.. A recommander!!!!

Usually I never do reviews of places I went to, as I prefer the mouth to mouth recommendations, but this place really deserves to be discovered. I booked through The Fork one hour in advance of going there and had no idea what I had booked, only that they were supposed to have Fado music playing.. I was met by a lady with the sweetest smile and the atmosphere was there from the start, with a good mixture of locals and foreigners. Then we ordered the 12€ jar of house wine and filled our glasses. Suddenly a man with a guitar comes to our table and asks us whether we know anything about Fado, we shake our heads and he starts explaining. After going to every table like that, he goes to the corner of the restaurant and is joined by another guitarist, the lights go down, everybody gets quiet and they start playing. After one instrumental a young woman from one of the table gets up and start singing, and we are all stunned. And then the "waitress" with the lovely smile puts out her hair and goes on "stage", and the force of her voice is so incredible that tears come to the eyes. I could go on and on in this way, but there is no doubt that this must be the best place in Lisbon to enjoy Fado in world class with some good wine and food at a very reasonable price! Thank you Filipe and Claudia for this wonderful night, I look forward to returning in the future.

Assolutamente consigliato. Qui il Fado è davvero di casa, i musicisti riescono ad esprimere tutta la magia di questa musica. Insieme al cibo, chiaramente: un bel piatto di sardine accompagnato da un buon calice (di)vino ad esempio. Oppure chiedete consiglio al personale, sempre molto gentile ed amichevole. Sarà un piacere tornarci.
