So good! Best kept secret in town! Fantastic food, welcoming atmosphere and always spot on. Been going for years and my parents and I love it...and all three of us have very different tastes and this restaurant makes all of us happy! X

More than just a snack bar! Exquisite Portuguese food for an evening meal with traditional taste. Highly recommended Portuguese Steak and Cataplana De Espadarte total homecooked taste of Portugal. Love it

Brilliant traditional food limited menu but all the better for that because what they do is market fresh and brilliantly done ,its popular with locals and hard to find looks a bit like a burger bar but don't let that put you off probably the best food in the old town and very reasonable prices as well

Brilliant Portuguese restaurant family run and all the locals use and recommend it most have the daily special as it's always as fresh as possible, hard to find but well worth it ,it looks like a diner don't be put off it's probably the best in town

Very nice cafe, which must be good because a lot of locals eating there. You can get freshly made sandwiches or full meals. Sardines looked nice. Tea, coffee, beer and spirits. Closes at 5pm. Just past the Geordie Viking Pub.

Excellent !!!! Typique, rien à voir avec les "attrapes touristes" du centre ville. Plats copieux et très bons. Rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Service vraiment chaleureux. Un super bon moment
Deuxième avis parce que vraiment c'est un établissement qui le mérite. Apres y être allé le premier jour de nos vacances, nous y sommes retournés pour finir notre séjour en Algarve car c'est vraiment le meilleur restaurant et le meilleur endroit d'Albufaira. C'est un restaurant familiale où la cuisine est excellente, une vrai cuisine de produits sans chichi superflu et réalisé avec émotion. C'est un endroit qui arrive à la fois à faire se sentir "comme à la maison" tout en se sentant à "l'étranger", ce qui, de mon point de vu est assez rare !!!!
Vraiment ne changer rien vous êtes parfait.

Lloc molt senzill amb un tracte molt cordial i agradable.
Ha estat una sort trobar aquest bar al mig Albufeira on pràcticament tots els restaurants estan orientats a menjar ràpid i orientats al turisme anglès.
Menjar casolà ben el.laborat i bo.

Todo estupendo,la limpieza,camarera atenta y muy agradable.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Fillet steak with pepper sauce and the waitress was kind enough to bring me a selection of vegetables instead of the salad. Excellent service. The steak was cooked to perfection, as was my husband's choice of rib-eye.

O manjar un endroit cosi où nous avons mangé un plat typique portugais pour 2 à 35€ un vrai délice ( ils disent pour 2 mais c'est pour 4 ) la serveuse fait tout pour nous mettre à l'aise et fait son service avec passion superbe accueil elle à même fait l'effort de parler quelques mots en français vraiment ont y reviendra de plus j'ai vue les plats de viandes passé à côté de nous à peine 20€ vous mangez comme des rois je recommande vivement.

Remodelação do espaço que está mais orientado para snack bar, com um balcão corrido onde se podem tomar refeições. Petiscos variados, pratos do dia com um delicioso "bacalhau com natas" como nunca tinha comido. Muito bom e recomendo esta experiência gastronómica.

One of our favourite places to eat in Albuferia, it was a resturant but is now a snack bar, the quality of food has not changed and the lovely Antonio is still there to welcome you warmly a must place to go

I have been in this restaurant since 1995 if I am in Albufeira its a must long as you can get in as you cant book ,nether been disappointed have learned to share a starter or just go for main meal excellent food service and great value for money.

Estupendo restaurante de cocina portuguesa, carnes y un bacalao excelente. El servicio muy bueno especialmente Antonio que está atento a todas las mesas. No sea reserva, hay que ir y te toman nota dando una hora ⌚ para que vuelva. Local pequeño pero cómodo. Precio con vino unos 20 euros., dos platos a compartir porque las raciones son Abundantes, de los mejores de Albufeira pero sin vistas al mar

Sin duda el mejor sitio en el que he comido en Albufeira. Muy diferente a todo lo que encuentras en la calle principal donde solo hay comida precocinada de plástico. Comida portuguesa de buena calidad, tamaño de los platos para hartarse de comer y un precio más que razonable. Sin duda repetiremos antes de irnos y siempre que volvamos.

A fantastic place to dine at steak is delicious and fish fillets divine. They do not take bookings but the wait is well worth it. Front of house is a lovely Portugese guy who is friendly and cares about his customers.

Was truly looking forward to eating here. Had a strong recommendation. Arrived at 9.10pm but it was after 10pm before we had a table. Both ordered Rib Eye Steak, medium. It looked like it was sliced straight from the cow to the plate. Extra rare would have been my opinion. Advise to future customers would be ask for the cooking of your steak one or two grades higher. Lovely decor and very busy. Great staff. Just we will order 'well done' in future.

Super leckeres fischrestaurant. Der stockfisch und der schwertfisch waren unglaublich gut. Die Portionen sind recht gross, also vorher nichts mehr essen. Die gute Qualität hat sich herumgesprochen. Wer nach 19.00 Uhr kommt, muss mit einer längeren Wartezeit rechnen um überhaupt einen platz zu bekommen. Das warten lohnt sich jedoch.

Comida buenisima con buena materia prima. Buena atención. Debido a lo solicitado del sitio, es conveniente ir un poco antes para pedir mesa y que te apunten a la lista porque suele haber cola. Impresionantes los guisos.

Excellent fish menu, beautifully cooked and seasoned with garlic and olive oil. Don't think you will find better seafood in town at this price point. Fish fillet was obscenely large. Definitely coming back. Great cold beer on tap too

Went there for dinner after a 2nd attempt because the 1st showed no chance for me to eat because it was busy, which is a clearly great sign. The reviews online seem to show so strong so we went back, endured the wait and had dinner.
I'm not one to post reviews when I eat at a restaurant because if it's not a good experience I just won't go back and if it was, I'd go back. Simple. I just can't get over how these reviews are coming in so stellar. The olives were bitter but that really wasn't my concern, but it started from there. Asked for water and we were given a small bottle for my wife and I to share. She ordered lamb and enjoyed it reasonably but nothing to be excited about. I ordered chicken with Piri Piri and literally got two giant fillets of chicken breast, bland as ever without even a pinch of seasoning on it and then a small jar of incredibly hot Piri Piri. As a spice lover, it just wasn't meshing well. I asked if there was any other spices to add to the chicken and the waiter just shook his head and said "no, we have nothing". The rest of the plate was full of French fries. I literally forced the first fillet down and didn't bother with the 2nd piece. Asked for another water, and it never came. Saw the first waiter, and asked for my bill. He took my plate and said "what a waste". Not even to ask me if there's a reason a full chicken fillet was just sitting there.
If you go, don't expect any authentic cuisine whatsoever. Just typical meats + fish and fries as a filler.

War bereits zweimal in diesem Restaurant zu Gast. Ich liebe die Rib Eye Steaks in diesem Restaurant. Werden zwar jedes Jahr heftig teurer. Sind aber immer noch ein Erlebnis.

Visita obligada. Estuvimos una semana enp Algarve y fuimos a cenar 2 veces. Mi pareja dice que es el lugar donde se ha tomado el mejor chuleton. Lubina y bacalao también buenísimo. El sitio es muy pequeño pero la comida esta buenísima y el camarero muy majo. Repetiremos.

Não poderíamos ter escolhido lugar melhor para nossa primeira refeição em Albufeira. Além da comida deliciosa, pratos bem servidos, preço justo, o atendimento faz a verdadeira diferença em qualquer lugar que vou. E aqui, o Antonio, fez nossa experiência ainda melhor. Muito bom ser bem atendida, com simpatia, cordialidade e alegria. Características que nós brasileiros temos, com muito orgulho, e gostamos de receber em troca, principalmente fora de nossa pátria. Voltarei sempre que puder.

The picture is wrong, it's not Manjar do Marisco. It's across from Cavern Pub. Great steak. Better than Ray's the Steaks in DC. Reasonable price for the large portions.
