A mí me gustan los restaurantes sencillos y de buena comida casera y este es uno de ellos. No es tanto la decoración Simó su ambiente acogedor, sencillo, el trato amable y auténtico. Y lo fundamental la comida buenísima y a buen precio. Repetiría.

Visited twice last week. First time group of 4 and everything was truly excellent. Second time group of two and food poisoning resulted. Portuguese steak meal suspected as the culprit. Doctor required this week. Would have given 4 rating for first visit but unfortunately second visit zero. Overall a one rating. Probably will not return.

Wir aßen zu Mittag in der Sonne, und das im Januar. Mein Mann hatte einen Fischteller mit einem zarten Thunfischfilet, wie ich es noch nie gegessen hatte, Lachsfilet und Kabelfaufilet mit Salat und Kartoffeln. Ich hatte 4 große Sardinen mit Salat und Kartoffeln. Das alles zu jeweils 8.50€ pro Person. Sehr schmackhaft. Mit netter Bedienung, so dass wir an unserem letzten Abend gleich noch einmal hin gegangen sind. Ca 300m vom Algar Seco Parque entfernt.

Vimar isa typical Portuguese restaurant. Excellent food at inexpensive prices. Daily menu is a 3 course meal with drinks for ten euros per person. Good choices for each course. A must visit.

A comida estava terrível, para entrada pedimos camarões fritos, não era mais que uns camarões que se compram já cozidos num molho de alho que nem era grande coisa. Depois um bife à portuguesa, totalmente sem sabor, as batatas queimadas e uma fatia de presunto barata e dura. Tudo muito mau, o restaurante tem sempre pouco movimento e não é difícil descobrir o porquê. Os preços ainda por cima são os mesmos dos restaurantes vizinhos, já os visitei a todos e uns melhores outros piores, não há nenhum abaixo das 3 estrelas. Senti-me vigarisado. Experiência definitivamente a não repetir.

Great service and food. Recommend the advocado salad, grilled fish and the mango chicken especially. As always in Portugal the portions are generous, so share a main if a small water.

Restaurant typique avec de vrais spécialités. Accueil très sympathique . Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Le Cataplana de poissons est délicieux et un grand Éventail de desserts maisons pour bien terminer le repas .

Köstliches und typisch portugiesisches Essen! Wir haben den Eintopf Cataplana, das Piri Piri Huhn, Spaghetti mit Muscheln, Fischsuppe und den Barsch bislang gegessen und es wird nicht unser letzter Abend im Vimar sein. Auch der Nachtisch ist toll: Torten, Schokoladenpudding und vieles mehr!
Daneben ist noch der freundliche Service zu erwähnen ❤️
Noch ein Nachtrag von einem weiteren Besuch im Vimar: heute Bacalhau à Casa. Ich liebe es!

A recommander sans hésitation! Succulent et service charmant... le cataplana de lotte est tout simplement divin; en plus, les prix sont raisonnables. A ne pas rater!

Restaurante muito agradável, com atendimento muito profissional e simpático. A mistura de peixes grelhados estava excelente e a música italiana que se ouvia estava na intensidade certa para criar ambiente sem perturbar as conversas. O preço também era perfeitamente aceitável para o lugar turístico em que o Vimar se encontra.

Posiblemente mi peor experiencia en los restaurantes portugueses, tardaron una hora en servirnos la cena. Vino calentorro. Mejillones y gambas, mejor no hablar. Las sardinas y el emperador,. bien Nada recomendable desde mi punto de vista.

Discreet but well worth a visit. Good quality food very reasonably priced. Had the monkfish risotto which was amazing. Very friendly staff. Only negative was the lady sitting close to us who decided to call her friend on speaker phone in the UK. Everyone in the restaurant hopes her rash has cleared up!

El mejor restaurante de Faro para mi opinión, sin lujos pero una cocina casera y rica, todo fresco, de calidad y buenisimo, decir que el personal totalmente casero y campechano. Hay zonas en Faro con muchos restaurantes pero con unos precios elevados para la calidad que tienen.

Buen lugar retirado del centeo de carvoeiro para disfrutar de una cena tranquila. La atención ha sido correcta y además disponían de la carta en español,q no es usual por estas zonas! La comida muy buena,aunque los mejillones un poco secos. La mezcla de pescado y la ensalada de aguacate y langostinos muy buena!

Wir haben als Familie hier zweimal sehr gut gegessen.
Das Essen ist hochwertig zubereitet. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein.
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren letzten Abend in Carvoeiro einfach nur genossen.
Für die Freunde einheimischer Gastronomie sehr zu empfehlen.

En este restaurante encontré una salsa desterrada, hoy en día, de los restaurantes y hasta de las casas: salsa rosa. Salsa que acompañaba a una ensalada de aguacate con camarones muy buena, los mejillones también estaban estupendos. El fallo fue el segundo. Ambos pedimos sardinas, las mias excedivamente hechas, hasta las colas se caían al estar quemadas. Las er la mujer tiraban a crudas. No dominan la "graella". Servicio muy atento y simpático.

On y mange des cataplanas de poissons,c’est frais et délicieux .

Llegamos a este restaurante basándonos en las críticas de Internet, ya que está alejado del centro. Al verlo un poco vacío dudamos pero resultó ser una gran elección. Comida excelente, servicio muy amable y familiar, precio razonable y la gente salía con una sonrisa. La tarta de la casa ¡un 10! Repetiría sin dudarlo, totalmente recomendable.

This restaurant is a very friendly, very spacious eatery with a good selection of typically Portuguese fish, chicken, pork and beef dishes. It also serves spaghetti dishes (including vegetarian), which are popular with children. It is a little better value than a lot of the other places in Carvoeiro, with excellent lunch deals. We ate here twice: once for lunch, where we enjoyed fresh sardines and a mixed grilled fish dish; and once for dinner - very generous chicken kebab, huge grilled salmon steak and delicious monkfish stew followed by homemade lemon meringue pie and coffee. Complementary glasses of port followed, (which is typical of many restaurants here).

Muy buena experiencia. Fuimos a almorzar mi pareja y yo y la experiencia fue muy buena. Nada más sentarnos, el camarero nos preguntó por nuestro idioma y nos trajo la carta en castellano. El servicio es muy bueno, educado y amable, y la comida está deliciosa, se nota que el pescado es fresco y encima a la parrilla... ¿Qué más podemos pedir? Además está bastante bien de precio y se puede pagar con tarjeta. Muy recomendable.

Sat in the back outside. Waited half an hour to be asked if we wanted a drink as seemed to be serving people in the front & ignoring us. Garlic mushrooms were a joke...3 or 4 mushrooms. I had the pork steak that I had to return as it was bloody inside & they just reheated it in the microwave. We were in there 3 hours mainly just waiting to be served. Avoid this restaurant.

Embora a cataplana pareça apetitosa na foto o sabor é que manda e por isso uma estrela chega bem. Mal servida para dois, o peixe tinha um gosto desagradável certamente congelado e mal descongelado. As mesas são coladas umas as outras... o pão não foi servido na mesa... enfim evite !
Sincèrement évitez ce restaurant. Le poisson de la Cataplana est mal décongelé ce qui laisse un arrière goût de poisson pas frais. En plus le service n'est pas à la hauteur : pas de pain servi à table. La dose de cataplana servie n'était pas assez copieuse pour deux personnes. Cela dit elle était bien suffisante après l'avoir goûtée. Fuyez !

Quiet small primarily fish restaurant. Staff very accommodating and helpful, kitchen was about to close around 03:00pm but stayed open for us and served us a lovely meal of Piri Piri Chicken as well as garlic Cod with side of potatoes and salad. Definitely a good stop in place while visiting the shoreline.
