Great people, great food. Lucky to be in Portugal when the nation's cup was being held in Portugal. England missed the final but the bar side of the restaurant was very enjoyable as Portugal were in the final. After some drinks my wife and I had a lovely meal to finish the evening. Such a friendly atmosphere and food is Fab. Would recommend totally. Enjoy.

Sehr ansprechendes Restaurant mit einer 200 Jahre alten Weinrebe im Speisesaal und einer gemutlichen, angrenzenden Bar mit Backsteinen und roten Polstermöbeln. Typisch portugiesische Küche, super lecker. Unglaublich freundliches Personal, wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, dass wir an 3 von 4 Abenden dort waren. Tipp am Rande: Gegenüber vom Hinterausgang ist die Steps Bar - gleicher Besitzer. Bei leckeren Drinks gibt es hier wunderbare Live Musik.

Заказывали курицу и морепродукты, всё готовится на гриле, к еде претензий нет, но цены здесь выше чем можно найти в старом городе. Если захотели посидеть в менее без людном месте, с хорошим сервисом вам сюда, если хотите подешевле есть места и получше.

Vivo en zona de costa y puedo decir que la calidad del pescado que nos sirvieron era espectacular y muy bien cocinado. Probamos también la sopa de pescado, muy rica. El precio no es elevado y la atención muy buena.

Food okay, a little expensive for what you get. Service good. Vino verdhe a rip off. Asked for Vino Verdhe and a bottle of GAZELA was brought to the table. Wine was fine but charged €16 for the bottle. Available in off Licence at €3.15.

Comida simples, mas boa. Melhor que restaurantes da rua principal. Atendentes muito atenciosos, em especial o Délio, que nos deu dicas de vinhos do Algarve e de locais para visitar. Preço muito justo.

Très bien. Repas en famille a 22h30 et au top : service rapide, qualité et quantité (je suis gros mangeur). Plats typique portugais et cuisson au barbecue devant nous. On a passé un super moment. A recommander !

Cadre agréable mais le prix est bien trop élevé au regard des plats fournis. Une assiette de calamars peu garnie à 18 €, hamburgers inconsistants servis sans garniture. Faites attention à l'addition, pour notre part, une bouteille de Sangria (16€) a été ajoutée sans que nous l'ayons consommée ! Attention également aux avis promettant un excellent restaurant, il n'en est rien. Passez votre route !

Good food and service at a rather quiet location. We came around 3pm when the restaurant seems to have discounts before dinner time starts. We ordered Bacalhau, sardines and chicken piri-piri which all tasted well. Portions were reasonable. The restaurant provided an infant chair so our baby could sit with us. Recommend this place.

It is very crowded. The place looks clean but the good is pricey and didnt really taste fantastic. Everything was kind of bland. I had the chicken piri piri and it just tasted like chared dry chicken. My boyfriend had the cataplana and he said it was boring and expensive. Inside is unique looking so get a table inside if you are going.

El patio y el servicio fue espectacular, la verdad nos gustó mucho. Si es cierto que es algo elevado de precio entorno a 50€ por pareja pero comes verdadero marisco y cataplanas portuguesas. Mencion especial al arroz con marisco, una delicia.

We received an adequate starter. However our mains were terrible. I had a couple of bites and left the entire meal as the fish was dry and rubbery. There was no offer for an alternate meal or any discount. So we paid a shocking 80e, for a very mediocre dinner. Hard to not feel a bit robbed. Shame as the interior is beautiful, and atmosphere good.

Dit restaurant is één van de beste restaurants van albufeira. In Nederland heb ik nog nooit zulke spareribs gegeten waar je nog flink geroosterde vlees en spek aan de botten vind. Alleen de saus mag minder veel. Gebakken makreel was ook heel lekker.

Luogo tipico e abbastanza accogliente, personale non troppo gentile, ho mangiato carne perché sembrava bella alla vista da fuori sul carrellino, bene la cottura ma la carne non era di ottima qualità, anche il vino rosso della casa non era niente di che, nel complesso un po' deludente. Non lo consiglio.

Siamo venuti a mangiare in questo ristorante grazie alle recensioni trovate su internet.
Personalmente, magari per sfortuna mia, non mi sono trovato molto bene, la carne non era niente di che ma almeno era cotta bene.
Il servizio è stato si cordiale ma tutto sommato "freddo" e molto distante da quello ospitale trovato in giro per il Portogallo.
Prezzi un po' più alti rispetto la media.

Buen sitio para comer y cenar, buena relación calidad-precio. Está en una zona de restaurantes y bares y cerca está la zona de salir por la noche, se come bien, tiene muy buena calidad, una pequeña terraza arriba, y varios comedores dentro, también puedes comer en las mesas de la calle. Puedes aparcar antes de llegar a esa zona y llegar andando, no hay mucho hasta llegar, recomendado para cenar y luego darte una vuelta a los alrededores. Si no has reservado no vayas muy tarde o estará lleno y no podrás cenar.

Enorme restaurante con varias entradas, en un lugar muy bonito. Comimos en el patio, agradable y confortable. Atención magnífica, cercana.
Los precios altos, aunque sea una zona turística, era temporada baja. La ensalada mixta muy escueta y en plato plano difícil de aliñar. La sopa de marisco, ciertamente con un gran sabor a sopa industrial, algo que no podría entender estando donde estamos con pescado fresco a diario, el caso es que sabía mucho a la típica sopa de supermercado. En cuanto a la carne a la portuguesa, aunque un filete delgado, la salsa y las patatas estaban riquísimas, muy recomendable, es como una picanha salseada.
Volveremos a probar los pescados.

Medium sized Portugese Restaurant well serviced with plenty of attentive staff. Food was delicious. I had a beautiful fresh sea bream grilled and husband had bbq ribs which he devoured. Next time I'm going for the fish kebab which looked amazing and very popular.

Personale Eccellente e disponibile. Sono arrivata e mi hanno subito accolta e trovato un tavolo.
Uno dei pochi posti che serve la Cataplana per una persona, e non potevo non prenderla! Era tutto davvero buonissimo e il prezzo finale nemmeno tanto alto considerata la qualità e il servizio.

Situata nella parte vecchia del paese fuori dal trambusto delle attività commerciali che hanno invaso il paese. La terrazza all'aperto è davvero piacevole. Ottimo il piatto di pesce scelto (cotto nella tipica pentola catalana).

Decimos ir por los buenos comentarios y no fallamos. Además pillamos oferta del día y comimos genial a un precio estupendo. El sitio es estupendo para disfrutar tranquilamente de la comida. Los pescados los cocinan a la brasa (muy típico de la zona). 100% recomendable.

We went there two adults and one child. We wanted to see the TV because it was semifinals from World cup at football, but the waiter took us to a table very uncomfortable placed, even if the restaurant was almost empty.We refused and when we wanted to leave , he offered a better table.
The food was good but not extraordinary, cataplana with too much water and a lot off potatoes and not very tasty, the big prawns from ocean , maybe a little old and sure made off frozen seafood.
We expected more and it was an expensive experience :)

Sehr schöne Location. Leider sehr eng und sehr gut besucht.
Essen kam trotzdem recht schnell, obwohl die Vorspeise vergessen wurde.
Qualität ist eine Note 2. Hier gilt weniger ist mehr. Leider ist es preislich gesehen auch nicht gerade günstig. Geht besser.

O empregado era careca, a peruca estava mal colocada, ofereceu uma coca-cola grátis, o que não se deve fazer, pois prejudica o negócio, além disso os preços eram muito caros e queimei-me na caçarola.Recomendo a gente rica que tenha dinheiro para fenistil ou biafine para as queimaduras.Não usem a casa de banho dos homens, boa noite.

The oldest and best eatery in Town , attentive staff, amazing menu, run by Family. You can also use the bar if you are not eating. The building is split into many rooms, all different in their ambience...it is a must.

- So waited over 45min a tuna steak and beef steak.
- Once asked where it was it came in 2min
- Was basically ignored by all service staff
- Friend got a tuna steak witch came with two baby potatoes.....
- Steak was well done (although asked for medium rare)
- The waitress took back the steak and brought it back the same, I just said it was okay at this point.
- There was no apology on any of these factors

Waren sehr enttäuscht, zwei verschiedene Fischgerichte (Goldbrasse und Schwertfisch) mit Gemüse, Kartoffeln und Salat waren zwar gut von der Portion aber geschmacklich sehr fade und das schlechteste portugiesische Essen, das wir in den letzten acht Tagen gegessen hatten, dafür das Teuerste. Der Hauswein (rot) total überteuert, Abzocke.

Lugar para comer a buen precio si vas de comida de dia que ofrecen, pues no tienen menú del dia. Hemos estado varias veces y siempre comiendo en un patio decorado y bonito al aire libre. La comida algo cara si te sales de lo que ofrecen en pizarra, destaca carne a la brasa, en especial el frango (pollo) y el bacalao. Nos llamó la atención cuando estuvimos la anterior vez que pedimos sardinas para niño y no nos lo recomendaron. Un detalle. El trato es correcto y buena atención. El aseo: 6 de 10.

Très bien reçu par un personnel sympathique. La période hivernale aide pour pouvoir manger tranquillement, sans bruit incessant. Ce qui rend l'expérience d'autant plus agréable. Les plats servis en cette saison sont très bons et bien présentés. Bonne adresse pour un repas en amoureux.

Accueil très sympathique et convivial. Repas de réveillon nouvel an très correct, seuls reproches: tables trop serrées (pour faire + de clients sans doute) et tarte aux pommes hyper chauffée au micro ondes. C'est bien que nous avions passé un bon moment autrement je ne l'aurais pas acceptée .....attention en cuisine c'est avec ce genre de chose que l'on perd des clients à cause des avis Google!

Average experience. Couvert consists of pre-packed portion of butter and fish pate that resembles a hotel breakfast. While waiting for the main course, we were served a grilled sausage on the house which was nice and also quite tasty. The fish recommended by the waiter was not bad, but while marketed as grilled, it was actually coated in something. Sides substandard. The service was average, so was the wine. Overall, an everyday experience for a high end price. Bad value for the money.

Si trova nel centro storico di Albufeira è un tipico ristorante portoghese con pochi piatti nel menù e cucinati bene. Un piatto da provare assolutamente è la Cataplana. Molto buone anche le sardine alla griglia. Il prezzo è rapportato a quello che si ordina. Lo consiglio se vi trovate a visitare questa cittadina del Algarve.

We were recommended this place by the receptionist in our hotel, and it didn't disappoint! A smell of cooking meat greeted us as we went in, and were seated in a cosy, rustic looking place. The menu had a great choice of meals and wine, and the food didn't disappoint. A fine recommendation!

Un lieu vraiment sympathique , une équipe à votre service certains fond l'effort de vous parler en français. Je conseil le plat de crevette très copieux et excellent.
En terme de tarif pour 2 personnes en mangeant à notre faim même pour un gourmand comme moi dessert inclus à 61€ vraiment top.

Atmosphere in the main restaurant seem to be good with indoor garden style, but we decided to sit outside suppose to be a rooftop terrace, is because on a sloping level, so climbing a stairs wasn't needed. it was brightly lit with two large lamps on one side of wall in a very small room size area consists of 7 or 8 tables for two, tightly together. Menu were quickly bought over, had a quick look, waiter asked have we decided ,no chance of waiting here. We ordered wine, I decided give the fish soup a go, one of the best I had, but let down by the Peri Peri chicken. Not sure what I make of it, tasty enough but was oily, correct me is that how they cook Peri Peri chicken in Portugal, nothing like what I had in Nando which is marinated and bbq, this was more like deep fried, as for vegetables to accompament the dish, not much,everythings seem to be with chips. My partner had a fillet steak,don't think it was a prime cut for the price, but cooked to his liking... Overall, Could be better.

Food is nice. If you want steak its good, big portion. Chips and salad are the main choice. Prices are a bit more expensive, for what your getting than other places in Albuferia but always busy and friendly staff.

Who give these food review!!!
Absolutely nonsense. I order Portuguese piri piri chicken they give fried dried oily chicken. I wanted proper bbq chicken as the waiter said it was.
The sardines they is salty and haven't clean properly full of scales. It's should have this high rating as it posted on goggles.
I'm a chef and know how to cook myself. I hardly post review for restaurants only doing so because I'm disappointed in my food I received...

Leuk ingerichte restaurant waar je met name heerlijke vis kan eten. Goede en vriendelijke bediening en erg gastvrij. Ze hebben een leuke fontein in het restaurant en als je omhoog kijkt zie je een tapijt van wijnranken ontsproten uit twee bomen.

La cosa empezó bien con unas sardinas a la plancha (6 unidades: 10€), un salpicón de marisco (más bien una sopa; 9,5€) y unas gambas al ajillo (13 €) que la verdad estaban buenas. Lo peor viene a continuación, con los platos de mayor fundamento: Cataplana de pescado (dos trocitos de rape) y mariscos (dos gambas), aguada y casi todo eran patatas cocidas duras (19.5€). El bacalao a la brasa (16€) imposible de masticar, más seco que la castaña de La Pepa; se lo dijimos al camarero y se quedó tal cual. La bebida: una sangría mediocre de vino blanco a 18€/litro. En total, 83€ por la cena para dos personas (sin postres). Nos fuimos con hambre. El trato del servicio, prácticamente inexistente y nada amables; ni una sonrisa. El local es agradable, con patio interior y arbolado, enfocado a los guiris británicos que se comen todo lo que les echen. Ni repetiré ni lo recomiendo.

The food was very good, the garden Room really lovely! Waiters were kind and helpful even when it was very busy. I have been twice and would recommend to book especially for dinner as it tends to get busy and once we ended up sitting near the kitchen. Recommended if you want to try local dishes.

Frites surgelées, les cocktails mal préparés, même le digestif offert n'est pas bon.

Nada recomendable.
Acudimos por los buenos comentarios recibidos de los últimos días, pero salimos muy decepcionados y sintiéndonos engañados.
El local tenía muy buena pinta y era acogedor, pero la comida deja bastante que desear.
Teniendo en cuenta que no es barato.
De primero unas sopas de pescado. De sabor no estaban mal, con trozos de pescado, pero ojo, también con las espinas.
De segundo pedimos pescado al carbón: Sargo y Mero.
El Sargo, de buen tamaño, estaba muy hecho, bastante seco y carente de sabor.
Sin embargo el supuesto "Mero" (porque no era Mero) estaba muy pero que muy hecho.
Un olor desagradable, sospechoso y tenía mal sabor.
Lo probamos ambos y no era comestible, y se lo comentamos al camarero. Pero no le gustó la queja.
Le dijimos que se lo pagabamos igual pero que no nos lo comeriamos. Y que por supuesto eso no era Mero, porque la carne era uniforme y no se separaba en lascas, acompañado de un hueso enorme (similar en tamaño a la familia del Pez Espada, Emperador o Marrajo)
Otro compañero vino con otro trozo sin cocinar con el argumento que era por el tipo de corte.
Enseñándoles fotos filetes de Mero tanto cocinado como crudo de varias formas no había forma de que cuadrase con lo que nos estaban mostrando.
Insistimos en pedir la cuenta y pagarlo pero no nos lo comimos.
No tuvieron ni el detalle de quitarlo de la cuenta y aunque lo pagamos ni se despidieron al pagar.
Nada recomendable.

In albufeira di ristoranti è pieno, ma la qualità non è delle migliori essendo un luogo particolarmente commerciale e turistico. Ci siamo trovati in questo ristorante inizialmente non pensavo fosse il massimo. Mi sono dovuto ricredere perché la qualità del pesce e della carne è buona, consigliatissimi gli spiedini.
Inoltre Bellissima la sala attesa che può essere utilizzata anche come sala fine pasto per amari

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The fish dishes are amazing. My fiancee and I had two fish dishes (the squid and the fish kebab) and it was fresh, desserts and sangria and the whole experience was great. Would highly recommend trying it if you can. The prices are a little higher but you get exceptional food and service. Was very busy by 9:00pm. Will be coming back again to try the meat dishes.

En primer lugar, nos metieron en un segundo salon oscuro, solas y nos atendían cada mucho tiempo. Queríamos probar platos tipicos de Portugal y pedimos el arroz de marisco y el bacalao, muy decepcionantes los dos.
El arroz estaba aguado, insípido y el marisco estaba realmente malo. El bacalao al horno estaba sequisimo por dentro y la corteza de encima durísima y las verduras muy crudas.
Le dijimos al camarero lo del bacalao y nos argumentó que en Portugal se hace así. Nos compensaron con un rodaballo a la plancha insípido, sin sal ni aceite y con verduras de acompañamiento pésimas.
Encima, por un precio excesivo. El servicio amable.

Grandma’s back yard. Quiet chirrupy cool place under the 100year old vine takes you back to childhood days. Perfectly made chicken piri-piri and fresh sole. The food is simple, no fuss, accompanied by a couple of potatoes and some salad for decor. Loved the grilled sardinhas. Sangria a tad vermouth-y, but the quiet retreat of the yard made up for that.

Beautiful food and wine. Great, friendly, helpful staff. Revisited last week. Lost my mobile phone in taxi back to hotel (staff had organised taxi). The next morning the head waiter and manager moved heaven and earth to have it returned to me. Still outstanding in every way - add honesty, above and beyond helpfulness and superb service to the list. Best restaurant we've found in Albufiera.

Had to wait over 20 mins to be seated on a Friday night, we did arrive after 9pm though. Food was definitely worth the wait!! We had the algarvian fish, sea bass, steak and lamb. Really tasty and friendly staff! Definitely recommend

Very pleasant interior and friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh but bland. They seemed to be using charcoal to cook fish and meat but the fish we had may as well have been pan fried as there was no noticeable chargrilled flavour. Overall a pleasant experience but not a memorable one.

Yhe place is very portugese themed with chimneys and nice back garden with a big open grill. We were sitting in the garden so the smells from cooking food were very appetizing. We had seafood from the grill what was perfectly cooked and delicous. Kids had deserts and drinks so all and all we only paid about 60eur. Recomend this place for a nive dinner.

We've been there off season, so the food arrived quick and the stuff was nice and helpful. The meat kebab and squid were sadly a bit overdone, clams are good. Es dauerte lange bis man uns das essen brachte. Die Bedienung war nicht freundlich und da wir nur eine Kleinigkeit bestellten wenig willig. Netz eingerichtet aber sehr laut da viele Engländer feierten die man freundlicher behandelte. Burger war allenfalls ok Pommes hatten leicht modrigen Geschmack. Dafür zu teuer und die Bewertungen sind nicht gerechtfertigt. Am nebentisch ein Portwein gratis wir mussten im die Rechnung bitten. 2 Sterne nicht mehr.

Fillet steak was great with pepper sauce. Cuttlefish was ok. Large selection of home made desserts which were good. Reasonable prices. Good open air atmosphere. Service was fine. A group of 20 of us eat here on our last night in Albufeira food was excellent and a great choice all the food came up within minutes of each other all presented well . Services was excellent all staff work well together and always with a smile.

Me encantó todo lo que pedimos. La Brocheta de pollo tiene una pinta increible. Tiene un patio interior a cielo abierto muy chulo con la parrilla a la vista en el mismo patio. Ademas está situado en una callejuela del centro de Albufeira de lo menos transitado en comparacion con el resto de las calles...zona y cena muy tranquila.

Un très bon moment, le repas était délicieux... Du poulet piri piri au riz de fruits de mer en passant par le pavé de saumon.

Tried this restaurant after reading the last reviews and must say I was disappointed. The service was slow and my Espetada de Peixe (Fish Kebab - which by the way has nothing to do with a kebab) was very dry. Choose another dish if you decide to try this restaurant. For the Vegetarians, there's a Vegetable Lasagna available (also not very good according to my wife).

Essen wirkte etwas durchschnittlich und ohne liebe zubereitet. Dennoch waren die fische und muscheln grundsätzlich fachmännisch ok. Im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in dieser Preisklasse jedoch definitiv schwächer. Aufgrund der guten Lage und des schönen Ambiente noch 3 Sterne ok.

Место где можно попробовать традиционную португальскую кухню: морепродукты и стейки. Кебаб и сковородки подают интересно. Порции очень большие, если взять стартер, то может не хватить места для основного блюда:). По обслуживанию замечаний нет. Цены средние, основное блюдо обойдётся в 20€, пиво 4€, вино около 5€ бокал, но думаю оно того стоит. В заведении часто бывают очереди, но они быстро движутся. Так что нет причин не посетить ;)

Un temps d'attente relativement long, des.commandes qui arrivent au coup par coup, un service aléatoire, une ambiance bruyante... Bref, un peu déçu sachant que ce restaurant était recommandé par le guide du routard! On n'est pas tous censés avoir les mêmes opinions mais là c'est compliqué d'adhérer; en plus les prix sont assez élevés... Bon, ok, on est dans le St Tropez Portugais... Mais quand même!!!

Tuvimos que esperar a que acabara el turno de cenas de los ingleses, el servicio estuvo atento, el pescado bueno, normal, y el precio fatal, nos cobraron el 'couvert' sin ponerlo,,, casi 3 euros por unas olivas, pan, y una salsa que nunca vimos, no está bien cobrar algo que no has servido.

Evtl. sollte man hier Reservieren. Man kann hier sehr lecker Portugiesische Küche genießen. Wir haben hier das Fischgericht und das Hähnchen spieß genommen . Obwohl das Restaurant sehr voll war, war der Service hervorragend. Ein Abend hier zu Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr schöne Ambiente im Innenhof.

We had our last meal of our holidays here. Superb food. Great atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and made us very relaxed. There was 5 of us we had starters coveurt main course and drinks. €150. All I can say is we will definitely be back.

Had my 40th meal there in about 20 years of visiting Albufeira. And enjoyed every minute of it as always. All the staff work really hard, and as a team, to do their best to give you a good time, even if the place can get really busy. The food is fine, the environment great. During the summer try and book.

Le Resto est passable le poulet grillé pourtant spécialité Portugaise etait en plein régime quand il a été choisie pour honoré notre table.
Frites congelées,prix des plats entres 15 et 25 euros franchement il y a mieux et moins cher dans le coin.
Je me suis fier au avis Google maps .
Reste plus qu'à passer à la caisse.
Allez en face ça a l'air aussi bon et moins cher.

View is beautiful, but food was terrible. Tuna steak was thin and overcooked not to mention that it costed 16 euros. Food took more than an hour to come out, and this was just for the soup which half the table got. Fortunately, the servers were friendly and accommodating. I was thrilled when we entered the restaurant, but never have I left more disappointed than I have here.

Ich hatte Sardinen mit Kartoffeln. Meine Begleitung einen gemischten Salat mit Hühnchen. Der Service war super. Die Sardinen waren OK. Der Salat war, naja sagen wir es Mal so; als deutscher ist man etwas anderes bei einen Salat mit Hühnchen gewöhnt. Geschmacklich kann ich diesen nicht beurteilen. Er kam ohne Dressing. Es wurde Öl und Essig zur Verfügung gestellt.

Un des bons restaurants d'Albufeira. Petite terrasse très sympathique sur le côté qu'on a préféré à la salle principale. C'est bon donc beaucoup de monde, il vaut donc mieux réserver (surtout pour la terrasse)
