We like the way how David gives classes. The structure of the lessons is realy nice.He is very flexible in adapting dates. The school is very well located. We would highly recommend this school to learn Portugese.

We (Rita and Knut Solli) have «studied Portuguese» for 8 weeks at Escola Caravela. We think we have Learned a lot. The teachers are very good and very patient. After these weeks we do understand much More of the language and we will continue our studies there.

Mijn man en ik hebben de extensive course gevolgd bij Escola Caravela. Wij zijn zeer tevreden, prima leraar en veel geleerd. We zijn na deze cursus van 8 weken al in staat om ons in het dagelijks leven te redden met ons Portugees. Maar we gaan verder omdat de school heel goed bevalt en er nog veel te leren valt. We kunnen Escola Caravela alleen maar aanraden.

I've been studying Portuguese at Escola Caravela for 2 months. First I wanted to study on my own (Babbel etc.), but I realized it is too complicated to do this well and organized without professional help. I'm happy to have switched to the traditional studying of a laungage. The portuguese teacher David made the lessons creative: he changes from doing exercises on your documents, to write things down on the white board and explain. Using a lot of pictures that makes you learn better. Then also audios for listening comprehension and the most important part: having a lot of conversations with him! So you get your learning to the next level. Soon you are able to talk and understand basic portuguese conversations. It seemed like I learned the most important things and nothing unnecessary or confusing. Everything had a system, it made sense so it was fast to learn. After each lesson you get some TPC (trabalho para casa = homework) to strengthen the skills you have just learned :) I think this language school is a great choice to learn portuguese! David gives the lesson enough space for your questions and can teach you portuguese in an effective and interesting way! I was happy to see my Portuguese skills grow so fast! I recommend 100%!! :)

I've been studying Portuguese in Escola Caravela with David for 3 months. I can say that the classes are fully focused on conversational skills. I started with no knowledge and in a few weeks we already could discuss some topics in Portuguese. The given vocabulary is very useful.The grammar aspect is concerned too. I haven’t had any major difficulties with understanding grammar rules, David knows how to explain easily in an effective way. Thanks a lot for my new language skills!

I thoroughly enjoyed my course at Escola Caravela. As a language teacher and school inspector I had high expectations regarding my lessons and these were met by my teacher David. I learnt a lot very quickly on my intensive course and will try to take another one soon.

After struggling to learn portuguese on my own for a while, I am very glad to have discovered the Escola Carvela in Caldas da Rainha. A portuguese language school that can be tailored to all needs with a choice of small group lessons, online lessons or private lessons. With the 30 hours of lessons that I took over a 4 week periode, I feel that I'm at last on my way to getting along in Portugal. It is a difficult language but David is a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend this school.

Tijdens de zomervakantie heb ik Portugese les genomen op Escola Caravela in Caldas Da Rainha. Samen met de leraar David Domingos heb ik de Portugese grammatica goed bestudeerd en veel oefeningen gedaan. Portugees is een ingewikkelde taal, maar met de begeleiding die ik kreeg, is mijn kennis weer flink toegenomen. Mocht je Portugese les willen nemen dan kan ik Escola Caravela zeer aanbevelen.

I was learning Portuguese during 2 weeks intensive course. And I think the result is perfect - after two weeks of intensive practice I already can understand and speak with my Portuguese friends.

Há 2 anos que estou a estudar português. Neste ano visitei Portugal e estive lá durante 1 mês sozinha. O meu nível de português ajudou-me a sobreviver e não me sentia mal, tive de conversar com os portugueses nos supermercados, nos cafés e assim por diante. Eu escolhi a Escola Caravela por causa do profissionalismo do meu professor. Posso ter aulas por Skype com horários convenientes. Além disso, os alunos da Escola têm a oportunidade de fazer os cursos em Portugal. Conversar com os nativos é importante + Portugal é um país muito bonito, com bom clima, com castelos e o mar. A Escola fica nas Caldas da Rainha, numa cidade entre Lisboa e o Porto, visitei esta cidade, é uma cidade muito acolhedora, o prédio da escola fica no centro da cidade, numa rua com cafés e lojas pequenas, perto do parque. É possível realizar excursões no Porto e em Lisboa porque os trajetos não demoram muito tempo (por volta 1 hora de Lisboa de autocarro). Gosto muito da lingua, da escola e de Portugal :)

Gosto muito das minhas aulas cá! É a melhor escola para aprender português!!!

Excellent school with very professional and effective teachers. I took the A1 and A2.1 courses here in the mini group format and I learnt so much and feel a lot more confident in speaking Portuguese. The teaching methodology, staff, materials, and facilities were all fantastic. Highly recommend and am very grateful to Escola Caravela. Thank you all!

A great place to learn or improve your Portuguese. The 2 week intensive course was fantastic. Teaching was professional with clear explanations provided including a very patient manner!! :-) Great classroom atmosphere. I will be returning for the next level.

Fiz um curso intensivo de seis semanas na escola Caravela, com os professores David, Paulo e Dalia. Também sou professora de línguas, por isso podemos dizer que tinha expectativas bastante altas. Fiquei muito contente com as aulas, gostei muito de ter 3 tipos de abordagem e formas de ensinar diferentes o que fez com que o aprendizagem era muito mais fácil e eficaz. Я закончил курс португальського языка в школе Caravela и это было хорошие решение пойти учить язык именно туда. Давид и Пауло профессионалы в своем деле, и сами по себе люди очень приятные,в конце курса мы сделали экзамен и все мы получили хорошие оценки! Учат там очень хорошо, все объясняют вообщем рекомендую!!!

Две недели интенсивного курса прошли очень интересно! Понравилось всё. Качественный подход к обучению, отличная программа. У нас было три преподавателя, которые сменяли друг друга каждый день. Непривычно сначала. Но! Это отличная тренировка фонетического слуха. Не привыкаешь к одному голосу и темпу речи. Это очень круто! И не смотря на смену преподавателей, между ними была отличная взаимосвязь. Все трое всегда были в курсе всего, что происходит. Прекрасная команда! Я от всей души благодарна Давиду, Далии и Пауло! За две недели дали много информации, конечно нужно всё повторять. Но для меня мой личный показатель это то, что я перестала бояться говорить. Все уроки проходили в непринужденной, доброжелательной атмосфере. Каждому ученику уделяли равное количество внимания. Всегда с улыбкой и добром в глазах. И это так расслабило, что слова стали сами из меня выливаться=) Я всем советую! Не пожалеете! И цена за такой курс просто сказочная!

Прошла интенсивный курс португальского в школе Caravela, отличные учителя, хорошая методика, и как следствие классные результаты. Буду продолжать обучаться и рекомендовать!

My husband and I did a 2-month course and we are very happy with the result. The classes were fun and interactive and we learnt a lot! The school is in a great location and the teachers are excellent! Highly recommended.

The teachers at Caravela are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I took the A1 course and my Portuguese is very much on its way, I can read basic texts and communicate effectively without having to switch to another language or asking people to slow down. Definitely recommended!

We did the 2-month Portuguese course and absolutely loved it. Paulo and David are both comprehensive teachers that have extensive knowledge of how languages work and how to teach them.
