We very much enjoyed our stay at 157 Republica. The room was very nice and cosy with a spot on service and friendly advises to get some local inputs. Thanks for that z'e we highly recommend this hotel.

Ines was super helpful, device was excellent and made us feel at home. Room was like an apartment very large and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

A great stay in Porto for 3 nights. Ines’ communication prior to arriving was fabulous and check in was incredibly easy. The suggestions of places to go that Ines sent to me was very useful, you could pretty much run off of that and have a great time.The accommodation was excellent and very well priced. The rooms were spacious and clean with real character - one of the rooms had a full display cabinet of cars. The coffee machine was a great touch. Ines had space free in her garage while I was visiting and was kind enough to let me park my rental car there during the stay. The accommodation is close to town and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the river.I would definitely recommend staying here and will be recommending to my family and friends

Room was spacey. The service was prompt and absolutely friendly, helpful. Shower needed a fix though. Location was perfect, away from the tourist madness. The walk allows you to view the area better. Positive stay .

We were greeted late but very nicely. The second bed was not quite as nice. There was some overhead noise in the smaller room.

Ines was an excellent host. She was willing to go over and above for my requests. The building was recently renovated and was clean. Thank you all your help, Ines.

Best service I’ve ever received traveling. Ines told me all about the hidden local gems of Porto and she was only a text/call away if I had any concerns/questions, of which I had 0. The room was beautiful, very clean, and the location was perfect. It’s close to downtown but far enough from the hustle and bustle. Someone left a review saying it was noisy at night but I left the window open every night and this was not the case. The hotel keys to the room are also super cool. There’s better pictures of the room than what I took on this website. It’s the “garden view” room on the second floor with the double bed. I would recommend anyone stay here while in Porto.

포르투갈 여행 중 가장 좋은 숙소로 꼽습니다. 호텔스닷컴으로 예약했는데, 예약 시 봤던 사진과 정확히 일치하는 숙소로, 전망이 정말 좋습니다. 전면에 큰 유리창이 있어 침대에 누워 공원같은 광장을 바라볼 수 있고 위치도 좋아서 시내 곳곳을 걸어다닐 수 있어요. 집주인인 이네스와 남편 조지가 정말 친절합니다. 도시 곳곳에 가볼만한 곳과 현지인 맛집까지 상세하게 안내해줘서 2박 3일의 짧은 일정이지만 알차게 돌아다닐 수 있었어요. 내부 인테리어도 하나하나 둘러보면 집주인이 얼마나 애정을 가지고 꼼꼼하게 꾸며놨는지 느낄 수 있어요. 가격도 매우 합리적이라, 제가 다음에 포르투에 온다면 꼭 이곳에 다시 머무르고 싶습니다. 이네스와 조지 부부에게 감사를 드리고 싶네요.

This is an unusual property with just four lovely large, light, attractively decorated, very comfortable rooms. The owner of the property was genuinely friendly, easily contacted and readily available to help or advise on places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble. There were lots of homely touches which made our stay a delight. We would certainly go back ourselves and would recommend it to friends and family.

Good location. Excellent manager. We had some street noise in our first room and my husband is an extremely light sleeper, but when I mentioned it, she moved us into a larger quiet room in the back for the rest of our trip. She was also extremely helpful with recommendations and was very eager to make our visit as pleasant as possible. The only suggestion for possible improvement would be a TV. Although no AC, it was ok for us because the nights were cool. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Porto, and would book again for a return trip.

Los regentes de la casa son lo mejor, te hacen sentirte como en familia y hacen lo imposible por qué tu estancia en Oporto sea genial. Te recomiendan sitios de comidas y de copas para poder disfrutar a tope la ciudad. Además la habitación y la ubicación son genial. Realmente es un sitio para repetir. Inés y su marido hacen que sea como un hogar.

Good friendly and clean hotel. Good location to walk around Porto and very close to the metro if you won’t to venture further.

Chambre dhôte plus quhôtel pas de réception, mais personnel présent à la demande.Très bien équipé, mais manque cruellement de climatisation par période de chaleur et pire lors de canicule. Un peu bruillant la nuit, au premier étage sur rue.

Hôtel agréable, très bien situé dans un quartier calme très proche du centre.La climatisation dans les chambres serait par contre la bienvenue durant lété.

Detta verkligen behövs var uppe i 30 grader De had en golvfläkt i rummet men det blev ändå mycket svårt att sova Mycket traffic fram till 0300 så det gick inte att ha fönstren öppna Rummet var välstädad. Bra säng och sängkläder Inredning 30tals - fint-endast 4 rum De håller pä renovera. Bra supermarket i närheten med gott vin! Billigare än det som fanns i rummet att köpa. Ingen frukost men flera bra kafe i närheten Lätt att gå in till centrum och nära Trinidade station- 3 euros till flygplatsen. Pga ingen a/c kommer inte att bo där igen. Tror det finns annat omkring med frukost och a/c som verkligen behövs under juni- augusti

La habitación muy bonita y acogedora. La ubicación muy buena y en general todo bien. El único pero es el sonido de los coches fuera, que se oye por la noche bastante, y la bajada hasta el centro que vas por una calle donde hay muchos mendigos (hay un albergue), mejor ir acompañado. Pero el apartamento muy bien

We had a great experience. They even allowed us to check in early. Upon arrival, we were given maps, city guides, and tips for places to go/see in Porto. The place was conveniently located near the metro, and was clean and welcoming. Also, very affordable.

First floor apartment right next to a large, green plaza. The owner was very helpful in providing suggestions on what to do and where to eat, including the purchase of groceries. This accommodation is similar to a hotel room with daily service so while there is a refrigerator there are no cooking or clean facilities. Within walking distance of most downtown Porto sites.

We stayed in the family 2 bedroom room. The smaller room had the display cases filled with model cars! A nice treat was the welcome port in the room and the nespresso coffee machine. Coffee and filtered water was replenished daily. the small fridge was also very handy.Unfortunately we encountered very rainy weather in Porto and it would have been nice to have more places to hang our very wet things in the main bedroom.Ines was fabulous and very accommodating.She supplied a list of recommendations for dining and sight seeing, a map, her phone number and even arrange an uber to the airport for us. Thanks Ines!!!

Magnífica experiència. Repetiré segur.

This apartment is stylish, secure and peaceful. We enjoyed the record player in the evenings and espresso maker in the mornings. Ines was a gracious host, allowing us to check in a little early and leaving us some local port wine to sample and also some local Duoro valley red wine. The neighbourhood is great - excellent bakery next door and everything you need within walking distance. You won’t regret it!
