Très bonne Pastelaria ! Les pasteis de feijao sont excellentes, ne vous laissez pas dérouter par le fait que ce sont des gâteaux à base de haricots blancs. Personnel aimable, endroit sympa. Le mieux est de prendre les pâtisseries à emporter et de les déguster sur la place juste devant, assis sur les marches, pour profiter de l'agitation ambiante locale tout en savourant leurs délicieuses pâtisseries !

Apesar de ter menos variedade de pastelaria que a da Venda do Pinheiro, mantêm a mesma qualidade. O pastel de nata é o ex libris mas o travesseiro de doce de ovo é fantástico. Igualmente o pastel de feijão.

Posto carino, ben arredato e tranquillo. Ottimo per fare una buona merenda, con anche possibilità di pranzare con panini e zuppe del giorno.
Purtroppo quando siamo arrivate noi avevano finito gli shake, non avevano la minestra del giorno (che abbiamo scoperto che non è di loro produzione) e gli ultimi panini li abbiamo presi noi, per la gioia dei clienti che sono arrivati dopo xD.
Tutto sommato i panini erano deliziosi e i dolci buonissimi. Comunque consigliato.

You might hear about them, buy them, for sure fall in love with the taste... but just after hands on the preparation process you truly know how much effort and love is behind this small yummmi pastry

Ho prenotato una Torta dall’Italia per fare una sorpresa alla mia ragazza!!!consegnata in hotel,gentilissimi nelle comunicazioni,il mattino dopo siamo venuti a fare colazione e dopo esserci salutati mi hanno più volte ringraziato e chiesto se era andato tutto bene!!! So so good. Has won many awards, and it deserves them all. I took the 2hr class on making pastel de nata -- outstanding lesson, learned a lot, Joao was so nice, charming, caring and thoughtful. Eating them freshly made is unlike anything I've had. Highly recommend.

Разочарование. Персонал халтурит, недоливает кофе, позволяют себе разные комментарии, думая что мы не говорим по португальски. Это при том что мы постоянные клиенты. Неприятное обслуживание, дорого. Не советую

Amazing friendly welcome on arrival. Waiter has a huge sunshine smile and very accommodative with food preferences. Place is very clean esp. The toilet is my obsession when it comes to public toilets. Food come in huge servings, very fresh and delicious especially their cakes!! Must try when in Lisbon!! ♡♡♡

Take a baking class here! You will not be disappointed with your nata at the end of the afternoon class. A great stopping point where you can mix some learning and eating into your day of enjoying the city. If you can't make a class, stop in their quaint bakery for a coffee and delicious pastry.

The interior is cozy with English menu/staff with very good value for money. For 8.5 Euro you will get 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, glass of fresh juice, coffee, custard pie and bread. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs are very dry/overcooked and the cappuccino is also average.

Lovely place with lovely prices that are displayed just in front of the customer to avoid any confusion. That’s the way to go! Even though I’m a seasoned tourist I still sometimes fall into the “tourist trap” and end up being cheated by the ruthless staff. Not here though! And the pastel de nata is just heavenly.

There were no classically sized pastel de natas left when we went in the evening, so we got the large ones (don't know the name) and two cheesecake pastels. They were way too sweet for our taste, so far the most mediocre ones we had in Portugal.

This workshop was an absolute joy. I love baking and Joao was really good at explaining how to make the best Portuguese custard tarts (Pastel de nata), from techniques to ingredients. We were using professional equipment and we were inside a real bakery, so I felt like a pro :).

I am Portuguese and I had never tried to make pastéis de nata before! But I was happy to learn while doing this class with João in his own bakery. Turns out the recipe is actually easier than expected, so I’m pretty sure I will end up making these treats at home. The class was informative and easy to follow. João is super fun to hang out with and, overall, this was an experience I’d highly recommend… not only for tourists but actually also for locals too! And, of course, the highlight is to eat the delicious pastéis you make yourself while they’re still warm!

This was a great experience. Much better than just eating pasteis de nata, is making your own - and then eating them, of course. In the process you can learn more about the pastry from master baker João. The classes are in a charming pastelaria right in the heart of Chiado. Recommended.

Estado numa zona tão turística, aqui nós conseguimos ter produtos de ótima qualidade com um preço muito acessível e num ambiente muito confortável sem nos sentiremos num ambiente turístico.

I have tried many pastelerias in Lisbon, but this one is by far my favorite. Wonderful croissants (especially the one with the egg custard). The service is friendly and I loved stopping by every morning. I look forward to eating here again.

Great food and great service. The ham and cheese sandwich combo is very filling and you get a juice and coffee type of your choice. Try the pastries and ask for the cheesecake pastry/tart-family recipe.

This cute cafe is a very good place to stop by after you went shopping (or before). They have quite some lunch items and pastries as they are a bakery. Pastel de Nata can not be excempt at this place. Wish I had bought a box of those. ( Regrets are made..=(, So try it out!)

In the very centre of Lisbon, is a cozy place where to find food for all tastes. Their pastel de nata os proverbial, and their vegan one is really good as well. Their assortment of food for vegetarians and vegans as well as the others, is quite impressive, and very hard to find in Lisbon.
Service is nice, kind and swift.

Recentemente participei no Workshop Pastel de Nata onde é possível aprender a fazer este doce com o João Batalha, o pasteleiro da casa, que foi super prestável e simpático, tendo sido uma experiência incrível, original e diferente e que recomendo vivamente.

What a scam! I paid almost 10€ for 2 people. If the quality was there i should say the price is fine! But the price/quality is not worth it at all. I ate the vegan pastel and i mean... It was ok but not the best and really not for that price. Guys if you're vegan, you have to go the Vegan Nata! The pasteis are really great for a normal price and they have other vegan stuff. They re not in the centre though but still worth it to go there.

This bakery is awesome. There is a variety of different local pastries that you can hardly find somewhere else. Definitely recommend it for a breakfast in Lisbon. You may want to try the promotion with 5 different local pastries to share with your partner (or also alone).

Nourriture pas mauvaise mais accueil très désagréable. Le personnel n'est pas souriant car il savait que nous n'allions pas revenir.

Lovely place with nice interior. We tried plate with five pastries which includes - Pastel de nata, Lisbon cheesecake, Beans tart, Cottage cheese pastry and croissant. (Recommended - if you don’t know, what to choose - but of course not alone). It’s good and tasty deal for a great price. The waiter was also really kind. Wasn’t crowded, can’t complain, i spent good time there. Might come back!

A qualidade dos crossaints é muito boa. Fui apenas uma vez e em dia de promoção. Os garçons atenderam razoavelmente, poderiam ser mais atenciosos, praticamente tínhamos que pedir por atenção ou eles davam as costas rapidamente sem olhar para o lado e demoravam a voltar. Mas o ambiente era bom, bem localizado e por isso recomendo.

Очень рекомендуем паштель по рецепту «от Мамы».

If you ask Lisboetas or city's more knowledgeable visitors which pastelaria is the best and where the most delicious pastéis de nata are made, there are going to be many different answers, with the most frequently cited champions such as Manteigaria (right across the square of our Pastelaria Batalha), Pastéis de Belém (since 1837 but outside of the historic Lisbon, about 20 minutes' drive), Fábrica da Nata on Praça dos Restauradores (next to Rossio), and several others.
Pastelaria Batalha, which is located in the southwestern corner of Praça Luís de Camões is a small family-owned establishment that has been making delicious sweets since 1990. Their regular and vegan options (bean cakes) are really good; salads, sandwiches and empanados are also offered. The inside seating, as small as it is, offers a relaxing respite right outside the hustle and bustle of Luís de Camões square.

When we came I asked if I could pay by credit card. They said Yes (and nothing more), so we took the table and made order. I was shocked when I wanted to pay - "5 euros more if You pay by card" We were cheated by them! By the way pasteis were poor - too much cake, filling was bland. Waste of time and money

Très belle accueil, les pâtisseries sont excellente et faite maisons. Un large choix de consommations aussi bien pour le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le goûter.
Vu de l’extérieur l’endroit semble petit mais une fois entrée c’est assez spacieux et très cosy. Jolie deco. Je recommande pour une pause salon de thé.

Este comentário é feito exclusivamente por causa da publicidade feita à doçaria Vegan.
Por norma aplaudo sempre este tipo de iniciativas porque penso que tem um lado didático, ao desmistificar alguns preconceitos enraizados na nossa cultura relativamente à comida e às opções vegans.
Neste caso em particular penso que o objetivo ficou foi prejudicado pela visão curta já que ao dirigir-me ao balcão fui informado que o preço de um pastel de nata é de 1.50€.
No lado oposto da rua uma das mais prestigiadas casas de venda de pasteis de nata, juntamente com os pasteis de Belém custa 1,00€.
Esta discrepância de preços serve para aumentar a noção errada de que a gastronomia vegan é mais dispendiosa, quando na realidade não é.
A prova disso são restaurantes como o Jardim das cerejas que tem um vasto menu todo ele vegan com preços dentro da expectável.
Por outro lado, esta prática, tem o efeito negativo de prejudicar as pessoas que se preocupam com os efeitos negativos dos hábitos alimentares para o ambiente, animais e saúde e que por norma escolhem opções vegans.

The best vegan nata I have tasted in Lisbon. And it’s same price as the animal product ones. Where you feel you are not punished for being vegan! Owners are so nice. They absolutely want to improve their vegan options and are working on it. Absolutely will go again even though I have already been twice.

A great find, especially if you're looking for vegan pastries! The vegan pastel de nata is delicious. We had a short wait for service but it was worth it. Staff spoke good English and were friendly, they had high chairs available. They also sell savoury vegan pies which are equally as delicious as the pastel de nata!

Great range of baked goods including white bean tarts which you wouldn’t know had beans in them, Portuguese cheese cake which actually doesn’t have cheese ... and light meals sandwiches ....we loved their Pastel de Nata so much we attended their workshop to learn to make hem under the direction of Manuel. Great afternoon n recommend it to anyone... book via their website or Air bnb.

Pastelaria com história e certamente muitas histórias para contar.
Vale a pena a visita, qualidade e variedade. Gostei dos pastéis de nada vegan e dos pastel de feijão sem lactose e sem glúten.
Aos poucos e com estás mudanças fazemos a diferença num mundo cada vez mais diferente.

Fuimos para comer un pastel de Nata vegano. Está bueno aunque tampoco es espectacular, pero puedes decir que has estado en Lisboa y has comido Natas.
Pero cuidado! Nos intentaron cobrar de más! Pedimos dos y el chico nos cobró tres. Cuando le fuimos a reclamar, aún no terminamos de decir el problema que ya nos pedía disculpas y nos devolvía el dinero. Demuestra que sabía lo que había hecho y no había sido un error!

Brace yourself for a surprise that will amaze you...
This is a find you will treasure more than most, they do traditional custard tarts AND vegan versions, yup. And they taste near as bang on the same as the non vegan ones ( I had both to ensure this was correct).
As well as that there are a host of other beautiful cakes and such and sweets ( we were greeted by a lovely fellow who asked if we wanted to eat in or out and was very helpful all in perfect English, my Portuguese is far from good).
There is also a vegan pie (think chicken and mushroom chip shop pie, only vegan) and it is beautiful.
Go there and find a bakery that is a secret gem.

Buena cafeteria y pasteleria. Cuando llegamos hicimos cola en el mostrador pero para sentarnos en msa te atienden, asi quw volvimos a esperar en las mesas. El servicio es lento. Tardan mucho en atenderte y en servirte y luego tienes que hacer cola de nuevo en el mostrador para pagar.
2.50€ el cafe con leche y 1€ el pastel de nata que estaba buenísimo.

Muito bom, funcionários atenciosos e pastelaria muito fina.
Só não ganha as 5 estrelas pois só aceita multibanco a partir dos 5€, por mais que tente entender o lados dos comerciantes em gerir custos por causa das taxas impostas pelos bancos aos pagamentos por multibanco, acho que o cliente não tem culpa disso e não aprovo essa medida pelos estabelecimentos

This place is okay - not the best nor cheapest brunch you’ll have in Lisboa. The brunch is basically eggs with bacon and a pastel de nata (the latter of which was actually pretty good). They serve a platter of their ‘best’ cakes, but they’re really not that brilliant... stick to the pastel de nata and you’ll be alright though!

Tipica pasticceria di Lisbona, dove i locali si trovano per la colazione.
Direi che in 5 giorni di Portogallo le pastis de belem più buone, a parte loro, bancone ricco di varie specialità, sia dolci che salate.
Servizio al tavolo con personale gentile e professionale.
Una splendida colazione in un locale tipico.

Quick and kind service. We got English menus and the server spoke English (and even a bit of Dutch!). There are all-day brunch options, and the food tastes delicious. Rustic bread is super jummy, good coffee and fresh orange juice. There are salad and vegetarian options, and you can substitute milk for soy if you want. Brilliant! Highly recommended

Tive a oportunidade de conhecer a Pastelaria Batalha em duas situações distintas: primeiro para experimentar o seu badalado menu de brunch e, mais tarde, para participar num maravilhoso Workshop de Pastel de Nata. Devo dizer-vos que ainda hoje estou surpreendida por não ter conhecido antes este espaço. Porque, além de fofo como tudo, vale tanto a pena! O brunch é bastante composto e tradicional e aquece-nos o estômago, naquele espaço pequenino mas cheio de (c)alma. Já o workshop, enche-nos todas as medidas e enche-nos também de orgulho, pois além de nos permitir pôr a mão na massa, ainda tem degustação no início e no final. O João (a pessoa que conduz este workshop) é fantástico e explica tudo super bem, além de ser entusiasta e apaixonado pelo que faz. Neste workshop ele conta-nos a história da sua Pastelaria Batalha e do Pastel de Nata e ainda nos ensina os seus truques para fazer esta iguaria tradicional de Lisboa como ninguém. Muito, muito bom!

Wir waren zu 7 und wurden prompt bedient, bzw. wurden Tische für uns zusammen geschoben. Es braucht ein bisschen Zeit, aber der Charme des Kellners hat das wieder wett gemacht. Wir haben unterschiedliche Speisen und Getränke ausgewählt. Alles war sehr lecker und vor allem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super.

Very nice experience with great pastry specialties. Staff is really passionate about their products and are happy to explain everything. On a weekend trip, we went there twice, because it was so good.
The only downside is that you don't have any windows to the outside from the tables. But still definitely a recommendation.

Karolyn Morovati and her fellow company of one-star reviewers were obviously high on the hashish seedy vendors so readily sell on the streets of Lisbon. The cakes are absolutely divine, are of great quality, and have the provenance of all things good and homemade. The bean cake (almonds really) is absolutely stellar. As is the coffee. Close your eyes and just go!

Skip the national chain across the square and give these local award winning independent bakers a try. The young couple who opened this, their first city branch, just four months ago, own two bakeries in the countryside outside of Lisbon. The husband of the couple is a fifth generation baker. You won't find the same old pastries as found in other parts (palmeras, muffins...). Instead they offer only Lisbon area specialty baked goods, or their own renowned specialties. Their pastries have won fifteen awards including Best King's Cake for the last two years running. They have take-out or a seating area with table service, offer salads and sandwiches, and offer a hot breakfast of eggs and bacon too.

Estuvimos en Lisboa 6 días y descubrimos esta pastelería a dos días de irnos. De haberla encontrado antes habríamos desayunado ahí todos los días. La recomiendo por varios motivos. El primero y para mi muy importante, su café, es delicioso. Para los cafeteros que os guste que sepa a cafè y no a leche ni aguado, recomiendo pedirlo doble (duplo). Ofrecen varios paces de desayuno a buen precio y el pan es muy rico, merecedor del premio, al igual que la calidad de sus pasteles y su roscón de reyes, ganador del concurso de este año.
El sitio está puesto con buen gusto y el camarero, un chico joven y dueño de la pastelería, es muy amable, habla español e Inglès y sabe vender sus productos como buen empresario.
Como sugerencia y un punto a mejorar, es lo que tardan en servir, algo a lo que en España y en otras ciudades no estamos acostumbrados, ni todo el mundo está dispuesto a"perder" tanto tiempo desayunando mientras haces turismo. Aún sabiendo que en general, comer y cenar en Portugal es para ir sin prisa y con mucha paciencia, es algo que con una persona más atendiendo, se soluciona.

Carísimo, si en el menú de desayuno (6€) pides café con leche en lugar de café solo te encontrarás la sorpresa de que te cobran 2€ adicionales por ponerte la leche en el café. Por otro lado, los dulces están muy buenos pero como en casi toda Lisboa, no repetiremos aquí ya que a casi mitad de precio desayuno mejor en otros en sitios.

Nothing special, the owner was rather pushy and the quality didn't match up to her boasting and our expectation. Pastries extremely sweet (this is I believe the way they are supposed to be) and not as refined. The dough and filling were gluey , soft and extremely sweet...
