Spending time here was so nourishing for all my bodies. The clean air, the blue sky, the brilliant sun, the trees and bushes and weeds, the cool ponds, the chickens and sheep, the great vegetarian food. I am so glad I got to spend a week at Vale da Lama. I couldn’t have thought of any better place for my first experience of Portugal.

We attempted to make reservations for a group in April. They confirmed availability by phone and e-mail and when, in December, we tried to formalize the booking, we got zero response. After several unanswered e-mails, we finally decided to call them by phone 14 days later. They promised to reply the same day. They didn't. We called again 2 days later, and were now informed that there was no availability. They even claimed that our e-mails never arrived despite previous succesful e-mail communication! They are most probably liars, but most certainly seriously unprofessional.

Iniciativa muito interessante. Merece visita pedagógica. Merece estada no hotel. Sou adepto das festas esporádicas de piza: paga-se preço fixo à entrada e comece à vontade durante toda a noite. Zona exterior - onde tem mesas para comer - interessante e grande. Ambiente alternativo acolhedor.

Local muito acolhedor com um conceito interessante

I was glad to have found this hidden gem as a holiday spot in the Algarve, based on the ethics permaculture. This means you can automatically expect organic food. And the food was definitely good! A lot of variety, enough vegan options. The friendliness of the people made us feel welcome, as if we were part of a family. At the same time you can enjoy your privacy with your own family. When you're interested in permaculture there is a possibilitie to have a guided tour through the quinta and learn more about how the design and how the principles and techniques were applied and still are being improved. Very inspiring. From quinta do Vale da Lama you can reach the quiet part of the beach within a 15 minute walk. A nice place to relax with the kids or go kite surfing.
