We had a fantastic day out in the waves with Justin. He is a very experienced coach and has a great and motive way of coaching beginners. After some theory at the beach he gave us the freedom to just try out and practice. He was always with us and gave us useful tips after each wave. We have never surfed before and after 2h of practise we finally managed to some kind of stay on the surf board (at least for a few seconds). It was a good success for is and definitely worth every cent to do a private coaching. Thanks for the great time Justin!

It was the first time I was having surf coaching. Learned how to surf on my own and felt I was getting a bit stuck. Snaps were not radical cut backs working one time out of two... I have to admit I was considering it quite a sum to invest but willing to try it. And result is fabulous!!! I am so grateful to Justin. His surfing skills are limitless and teaching methods really efficient. He also manages to give positivity which motivated me to try even harder. Knowledge of surf spots and forecast is also incredible. Every single day we were on the right spot at the right time. It is far from being only a 3h daily coaching, the job done is huge: choosing the right spot, filming with top equipment, analysing the movies and sending every evening a detailed feedback with videos and learning objectives. During the sessions every 30 to 50 min you can go out and get some feedbacks and seeing the video lives. It helped me a lot to adjust my surfing during the sessions. I also realized I was being wrong with my board choice! Justin is also coaching top world-class surfers and his reputation is limitless in Portugal. Every good surfer would know him and respect him. He is one of the top surf coach in the world! I am so amazed by this experience and would recommend It to anyone who want to improve. I have enough things to work on for the next 3 years at least!!! I will do it again for sure!

I booked 7 days surfguiding with Justin in the Algarve. Justin was very passionate about it and worked hard to get us on the right spot every day. If needed to avoid onshore winds or crowds he was not afraid to make the long ride. In doing so I got to know a lot about the beaches from the South and Westcoast. Justin was a great private surf guide! I told him what type of board I wanted, and what type of surf spot I'd like to try. He picked me up at my Airbnb with a surfboard and took me to a spot that was exactly what I was looking for. He provided me with a lot of information about surfing in the area, and was really just a cool guy to surf with.

Justin is a really dedicated coach, with years of experience and a lot of knowledge. After a few trainings with him I felt mentally and physically prepared to face the ocean also on rougher days with much more selfconfidence. His precise videoanalyzes, he sent with the videos via Whats App helped me to improve my technique by seeing and realizing my mistakes. I can absolutely recommend him for intermediate surfers who wants to become mentally strong, physically fit and improve their skills.
