I was here with my friends in September. And WOW it was amazing!! I really enjoyed myself and I know my friends did as well. One of the waiters gave me and my friends "the special combination" and WOW "the special combination" was AMAZING!! And don't get me started on the beers haha - they were sooo nice. And We were able to see portuguese football which we loved! We literally sat just in front of the TV!! This is the first place I'll visit when I come back to Lisbon!
I really recommend this place! GO GO GO!!

Freundliches Personal und gute Tapas
Bei der Getränkebestellung wurden uns noch Majo, Chorizo und Brot auf den Tisch gestellt, trotz Rückgabe erschien es auf der Rechnung. Wurde aber wieder von der Rechnung gestrichen, nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen haben.

Shockingly overpriced tourist trap.

Touristic trap!!! Super overpriced restaurant. The food is good but the dishes are super small for how much you are paying. They try to charge you for the food (bread, chourizo) that they put on the table, even if you didn't ask for it. You have to tell me you don't want it. I wouldn't recommend this place and for sure I won't be back.

Super overpriced and they try to smuggle in 8 euros worth of chorizo, bread and aioli. Half of the food was decent but pushy wait staff made it a less than enjoyable experience.

Beware! Very disappointing! My husband researched for quite a while before finding lots of recommendations from local blogs for this place. We had one night in Lisbon so wanted to find a good place to eat. When we arrived before we even ordered anything we were brought a basket of bread, some aïoli and some chorizo. We naturally assumed this was on the house. We ordered 6 glasses of wine. At one point, patatas bravas were put on the table as well as a table next to us. We pointed out that we did not order them. They were left on the table. When the bill came, we were charged for bread, aïoli, chorizo and patatas bravas which we never ordered in the first place and they also tried to charge us for 7 glasses of wine instead of 6 at the exorbitant price of 7 euros a glass for very average Portuguese wine! We left feeling completely ripped off! Very disappointed.

Pintoresco local con una carta de tapas enooooorme. Ambiente joven, pantalla para eventos deportivos, atención un tanto amateur pero relación calidad-precio bastante buena. Para tomar algo y picar unos platos es muy recomendable.

Personale divertente e gentile, il locale è accogliente e allegro anche se non adatto ad una serata tranquilla!! Chi va in questo posto deve essere consapevole che è molto rumoroso, ma devo dire che l'atmosfera mi è piaciuta molto. Il cibo è molto buono: portano delle tapas all'inizio ( salame piccante e crema di aglio, speciali!!) e puoi decidere se mangiarle o no perchè in caso non te le mettono nel conto.

te cobran lo que te ponen de entrante sin haberlo pedido 8.5 euros( 2 euros de pan 1,5 mayonesa 5 euros por unas rodajas de chorizo)
un vino 5 euros, la croqueta de bacalado seca los champiñones sin sabor....
En resumen caro, poca cantidad y nada sabroso.

WARNING-READ ENTIRE REVIEW
We came here as a recommendation from a tuk tuk because we wanted tapas. They were welcoming and sat us quickly. They gave us bread and chorizo with garlic mayonnaise as a starter. We ordered a green wine, fried goat cheese with tomato jam, codfish acorda, and mussels. We had to get one new wine glass because the first literally smelled like an armpit. Good wine though. The mussels were decent, but the goat cheese (honestly might not have even been goat cheese) tasted like it came out of a microwave before it was done being heated. The codfish was at least hot, but it relied on being cooked with a generous amount of melted cheese to make it palatable. Once we tasted these, we decided we wouldn't order more and move on to a different restaurant. When we got the check we saw that they had charged us for the "complimentary" starters. We told our server that we didn't want to pay for it since we didn't order it, and he brought us a new check immediately. The check was printed 5 minutes before we asked to have the items removed, so this is clearly a trick that they pull. We will obviously not be returning, and will be sure to tell our friends to avoid as well.

Had a lovely experience yesterday. We had some beers and some tapas and those were great, the atmosphere was what made the experience extra good. Full, noisy and and fun. We suggest trying ALL the rolls (croquetas).

Fez-me sentir que estava fora de Portugal em relação ao ambiente- vibe e pessoas que o frequentavam; e que estava em Portugal tendo em conta a comida- croquetes, chamuças,.. . Espaço muito agradável, com muito bom ambiente em especial no que toca à música. A minha avaliação seria 9 se fosse numa escala de 10 devido apenas aos preços altos que se praticam..

Por los precios parece raciones pero en realidad son tapas pequeñas, en españa se consideraría un picho. Tres pimientos piquillo rellenos 8€, unos huevos rotos (Un huevo, dos lonchas de jamón y media patata) 9€
Dos cervezas y una cocacola 12€. Nos gastamos 40€ y tuvimos que ir directos a por una pizza al salir de este bar porque fue como si no hubiéramos comido nada

My friend and I were recommended this restaurant by a local who said that it was quite popular. As this was our last evening to have a nice meal together we thought we would get dressed up and give it a go. It was quite full which led us to believe it had potential. Traditonally tapas are small little appetizer type plates at a cheap price allowing one to try numerous foods..this location however was absurdly priced especially for the subpar quality of food not to mention the roaches. For more info feel free to read the details. To start off they bring you a plate of meat, some bread and some garlic mayonnaise, once it's on the table they let you know if something is brought that you dont want they will take it back, but we had already dug in as we assumed it was like other restaurants that include it complimentary. The meat they brought is not on the menu so you have no idea of the price until you receive the bill. Moving on, we received our first meal and as we started eating, the friend I was eating with stared over my shoulder unsure of weather or not to tell me what she was staring at... it was a cockroach. I felt so nauseated and couldn't bear the thought of attempting to eat the rest of the meal, because I could only imagine the state of their kitchen, especially since the prices were astronomical. They moved us to the next table over and gave us a free glass of wine as an apology. Up until this evening we did not think it was even possible to have a bad meal in Portugal. The server was lovely but at the end of the day we paid 70€ for food that had disgusting roaches running all over it. I definitely do NOT recommend this place. Instead try canyon taco, guilty, charlie or local fresh across the street. Avoid this place like the plague. Not sure how it's still open, or how people continue to dine there.

Good tapas restaurant with nice atmosphere but poor service and charges you for items not ordered. Beware of bread and meat starters placed on your table upon arrival as they charge you at the end almost 10 euro. Brought this up and wait staff sees nothing wrong with charging you for items not ordered.

I stopped in since it had a lively bar feel from the street. It was the perfect stop for a solo traveler! I really enjoyed the Spanish style tapas (even after being in Spain just the day before!) I had some delicious lamb chops and Patatas bravas. It wasn’t a bargain but it was worthwhile. Plus there are great views just around the corner.

On a Nov. Sat early eve, I wondered around Lisbon city center in rain and wind for an hour looking for a cool and happening place for drinks and light food. Every restaurant/cafe I checked was dead (except one high end restaurant that required reservations.) In search of Lost In bar for drinks that was recommended on a travel site, I discovered this hole-in-the-wall tapas bar that was packed with locals, and I managed to get a seat. The drinks and tapas were great. It is cozy and warm, and I liked the quick service despite being so packed. The prices are not cheap but I reasonable. I am surprised it has a 3.7 rating. It deserves better.

This place was recommended for us, but in reality the value for money was very low. My friend ordered fried baby squid, which cost 11 euros, didn't taste good and there was very little of. The beer was fine though. We didn't order Sangria, because it cost 22 euros per litre

Nel Barrio alto di Lisbona, sulla destra della funicolare di Santa Gloria, dopo il magnifico belvedere: il locale è piccolo, scuro, molto raccolto e accogliente; un lungo bancone sulla sinistra e tanti piccoli tavolini a riempire tutto lo spazio disponibile, però... il personale è cortese e disponibile, il servizio rapido, il cibo eccellente e la birra fredda al punto giusto.
Abbiamo provato diverse portate e tutto ci ha soddisfatto appieno.
Come in tutta la città l'inglese è sufficiente per intendersi, il costo delle singole portate accessibile (poi dipende quanto mangi), il pane è a parte, su richiesta e il caffè, anche se non eccezionale, almeno decente.

Went in for a drink and didn't get a great welcome. Told to sit down at a table, then given menus after being ignored for a bit. They gave us food menus and said they don't do drinks at the tables. We were left a bit confused and ignored.

Tente de vous facturez des choses que vous n'avez pas commandé (chorizo, aïoli, pain). On a protesté à peine une minute sur l'addition, il part 10 secondes et comme par magie la bonne addition était déjà prête. À eviter.
Try to scam people, asking 8 euros for things you didn't ordered (bread, aïoli, chorizo). If you protest they come back with the good bill.

Bar très banal mais surtout bruyant avec de la viande saoule partout. Une carte illisible dans la pénombre. Des plats sans saveur. La note elle est très relevée.
En revanche les serveurs sont très sympathiques et sauve l'affaire.

As many people already reviewed, the service and the food were decent but way overpriced.
A small portion of shrimps cost 11 €, 3 stuffed mushrooms 7€.
A final bill of 30 € for 2 small tapas, 25cl of beer and a glass of wine. We ate complete dinners in nice restaurants all over Portugal for the same price.

Walked in because there was a good vibe, the food was decent, however, before our order arrived, they came with a basket of bread, a cup of aoili, and a small plate of chorizo. "Something to eat while you wait" so since we had been driving through the Iberian peninsula for weeks now, we had grown accustomed to occasionally receiving complimentary tapas with our drinks order. When the bill came, we saw almost 10€ in extra charges for these items we never ordered. When we spoke with the manager about these seemingly complimentary items, he protested and said this is how things are done in Portugal. We didn't buy it, stuck to our guns and he took it off the bill. We later found out from other local restauranteurs that this guy was def trying to rip us off. You've been warned!

We went in for a beer and to watch some of the world cup. Lovely little place full of atmosphere particulalry in the evenings. They seem to have waiters speaking every language which is also super helpful! And they were very funny and friendly too. The food lookes so good we couldn't resist ordering a few tapas before going out to dinner. All in all faultless!

Were walking by, wondering where to have dinner, and liked the look of the menu. The place was packed, but we got a table for 2 straight away. A server brought some breads, cured sausage and aioli to have while we perused the menu. We ended up choosing the lamb leg special, grilled asparagus, batatas bravas which the server recommended, and a salt cod dish that was new for me (bacalhau à bras) made with fried shredded potato and egg. For dessert we shared a crema catalana. We also chose cocktails and I was very appreciative when the server stopped me from ordering the 'spicy orange' which apparently contains a lot of pepper. (I'd been imagining something more along the lines of cinnamon and nutmeg!) All the food was very flavourful and the portions were good. The decor was really cool with photos of Hollywood icons and retro posters lining the walls, and the service was very friendly and helpful. We paid €79 (plus tip), which we found a little steep considering we had been looking for somewhere cheap, and this place definitely has a bit of a dive bar vibe, but I guess all the yumminess adds up!

We randomly fell on this tapas place and as it looked quite filled we thought we give it a go. After we ordered our first tapas we soon realized that the place is not as promising as it might look. Extremely over-priced! The portions are ridiculously small and they try to rip you off on every end. On top of the disappointing experience and the bland taste of the food, it gave me stomach cramps. Do not go there! (on top there were little fruit-flies flying all around)

Super authentische, bodenständige Tapas Bar, etwas eng und immer gut besucht, wir haben aber immer einen Platz für zwei bekommen, man sitzt halt mit anderen am Tisch und unterhält sich. 100 Tapas stehen am Menü, wir hatten Octopus, Pata Negra Schinken, Chorizo und Muscheln, war alles sehr lecker. Bier, Wein und Mendronho waren auch gut, außerdem läuft immer gute Musik und es ist ein Raucherlokal. Es war das Geld auf jeden Fall wert.

I had the best fun in the bar. Diego is a very talented bartender that made me drink after amazing drink! I just named the spirit and he created a cocktail I loved. See the pics to know how many times I swooned tonight. Phillipe was the reason I came into the bar. The staff are so warm and friendly! And the food is good also. I had a couple of tapas including the tuna and black-eyed peas salad. The combination is so tasty! Don't miss out on this gem when visiting Lisbon.

Ich verstehe die vielen negativen Kommentare nicht. Jeder weiß, dass wenn beim Italiener ein Brotkorb auf dem Tisch steht, das Brot wenn man es denn isst bezahlen muss. Das sind ganz normale Restaurantkenntnisse. Ein bisschen Mitdenken kann also nicht schaden ;-)

Nos pareció un sitio no turístico y auténtico, pero nada que ver. Raciones pequeñas a precios desorbitantes. Lo que en España sería una tapa de Champiñones 8,50€, igual cantidad de bacalao dorado 12,50€, ensalada en plato de postre 5€, cerveza 3€ y lo más sangrante una copa de vino 6,50!!!! Portugal se caracteriza por su buena relación calidad precio, así que no os recomiendo para nada este sitio. El personal muy amable.

Bloody worst experience ever, a member of staff visable wipeing powder from his nose and very aggressive with clients. Péssimo atendimento. Não sabemos se foi o gerente ou o dono do estabelecimento, mas nos tratou mal e com arrogância quando fui até o balcão pedir um chopp e efetuar o pagamento direto no caixa, visto que estávamos na mesa de fora há muito tempo esperando atendimento e nada. O local estava cheio e quente. Esperava mais de uma tortilha com preço absurdo e estava crua. Não recomendo de jeito nenhum.

Food: horrible and overpriced. Probably the worst Spanish tapas I have ever had in my life. Calamares were all shriveled up like raisins. Spring roll was actually an microwaved egg roll and was probably the best item we tried, which shows how bad everything else was.

DO NOT GO HERE! VERBAL ABUSE
We were looking forward to eating our last meal in Lisbon. We stumbled across this place and went in as we love tapas and sangria. We ordered a selection of seafood and meat dishes. The seafood dishes were lovely ,however, we were really unhappy with the veal and aioli potatoes. The aioli potatoes were lacking egg, garlic and lemon and were overall abysmal. The veal was discoloured and looked inedible. The sangria was very disappointing as it tasted like watered down red wine, particularly for €18! However the disappointment with our food was not what ruined our evening, it was the abuse that followed after we politely communicated our reservations to the staff, only to be received with hostility and aggression. The waiting staff and owner refused to accept that anything was wrong with the meal and to accept any reduction off the bill. The atmosphere was becoming very heated and we decided to leave the restaurant paying the full bill minus €20 which covered more than we thought was fair but not the full amount. Following this, my friend had left her phone on the table and went back to get it only to find the staff had STOLEN the phone as blackmail for us to pay the remaining balance. When we asked for the phone to be returned the staff became more and more aggressive, and at this point we asked for the police to be phoned as we were feeling very threatened and quite unsafe. To ensure the safe return of the phone, my friend insisted on first receiving back the cash payment of €60 as security. The staff refused to phone the police and it was not until we started filming them that they returned the phone to us after snatching back the money out of our hands. At this point we were very shaken up and left the restaurant. As we were walking down the street the manager and waiter followed us shouting “you stupid bitches” and other abusive language. We crossed the street and took refuge in a nearby restaurant as we felt extremely threatened. We are 3 mid 20 year old girls and this was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant.
A horrible experience, but by no means indicative of an otherwise extremely welcoming and lovely city that is Lisbon.

Great food, great drinks, great vibe. We asked for spicy sauce, they gave us their housemade chili sauce (try it! it's excellent). Waiters were very helpful and personable. The food itself was a mix of unique creations and the food found at most restaurants in Lisbon. Nous avons commandé des minis burgers. Nous avons vu arriver 2 boules de viandes d'environ 50grs (soit 2-3 boulettes ikea pour donner une idée) trempant dans une sauce blanche avec 3-4 lamelle de champignons de paris. Voilà ce qu'ils appellent mini burger. A côté une panière avec quelques tranches de pain, et pain à toast (puisque c'est la taille de la boule de viande lol). Prix des bouteilles de vins délirants pour un pub. Accueil pas top en prime. A fuir, préférez les tapas du parc juste plus bas.

We ordered mini burgers. We have seen 2 mini meatballs (2-3 ikea dumplings to give an idea) dipping in a white sauce with 3-4 slices of mushrooms. That's what they call mini burger. Beside a pantry with a few slices of bread, and toast bread (good job, it's the size of the meat ball lol). Price of wine delirious for a pub. Bad service too. Prefer the tapas of the park just below.

Excelente ambiente, boa comida, música no tom certo e boas bebidas. Valeu passar a noite no bar, ao invés de ir pra uma mesa. Muito divertido.

Tapas excellents mais dommage que l aioli et le chorizo soient payants alors qu on nous le pose sur la table sans avoir rien demandé...
Du coup 8,5€ supplémentaires sur l addition.

Very good atmosphere- appears to have beautiful food (only had a few drinks there). Good staff and in a picturesque location!

Cozy, friendly, mostly Spanish. Prices bearable given that it is still in a main tourist area. Food good.

Way to expensive for that mini portions of tapas. Wouldn’t recommend this place. 3 tapas and 2 glasses of rose for almost €45.- is too much. Never again thank you.

Tem uma boa sala e um bom ambiente para passar um bocado. Pode-se fumar: há quem goste e há quem não goste. Já tem aderido à Rota das Tapas em regime de take away.

Snack Bar para turistas
As tapas foram uma boa surpresa. Apesar de vocacionadas para turistas, até são boas.
Atendimento, que não tendo muito a apontar, é estranho...
Preços altos, mas concordantes com a média que por estes dias se pratica.

Nice ambiance. Ok music. But, Don’t let this suck you into this black hole.
You sit down the waiter bring you bread, aged ham, and your are like this place is great(did not order it, they just bring it your table!)
After ordering some 5-6 tapas, you realize these aren’t sharing portion, these are small single portion for just one person. The food is the worst i have eaten in Portugal! Hands down! Fried, bland, and boring. Drinks are lame also!
Waiter bring you the check, and there is your ham and bread you never ordered on your bill( not complementary)
And the next day the GI bug set in!
