This place is incredible. They basically gutted and entire apartment complex and made a club. There are chill hangout places outside and on the top floor, and a dance floor in the middle. Really cool design, will definitely go again.

Situata sulla piazza dove ci sono tanti locali, abb notato questa palazzina molto frequentato. Incuriositi siamo entrati e abbiamo scoperto un ex studio medico trasformato in un centro culturale con due angoli bar e due livelli di terrazze esterne con musica . Originalissimo.

Absolutely loved this place. The building itself has a plethora of small rooms and spots to hang out in, as well as two bars serving beautifully made cocktails, wines and beers. The highlight for me was the outdoor courtyard and terrace overlooking the neighbourhood, and the staff who took great care to make our drinks. Try the mojito, you won’t regret it.

Una antigua clinica reconvertida en bar y salón de espectáculos, si no lo conoces no invita a entrar pero luego por dentro lo han rehabilitado con mucho gusto dejando mobiliario antiguo. En el primer piso a veces hacen conciertos y exposiciones, en el segundo y tercer piso hay un bar que no es barato y suele estar lleno si vas tarde pero para tomar una esta muy bien

Es un patio en un primer piso. Un espacio muy agradable con buen ambiente. Merece la pena visitar los baños porque tienen un diseño original. El trato es muy bueno, la música está bien. Indispensable visitarlo si andas por la zona. El vinho verde buenísimo aunque un poco caro.

A nice place divided in different floors with at least two bars and many rooms with tables and seats. Nice to have a drink, listen to some music and discuss with some friends. During the weekendend a dance floor is opened so there is the occasion to dance if wanted .

È effettivamente una casa, ma è super affascinante nel rinnovato largo do intendente. Locale con varie sale e giardinetto esterno. Mettono anche musica all'interno per ballare un po'. Fantastico locale! È un antico edificio che un tempo ospitava una abitazione e molti ambulatori medici, di cui ancora si possono leggere le insegne sulle porte! È arredato in maniera pittoresca e attenta. Ha un bel cortiletto interno dove si può bere all'aperto, una stanza dove ballare, una bella terrazza al piano superiore che da sul giardinetto e molte stanze dove è possibile sedersi e chiacchierare.

Casa Independente is an old recovered building hosting a cultural association that promotes activities such as exhibitions, concerts, talks, etc. Somewhat similar to Braço de Prata in a smaller space. Has a nice bar and restaurant. Great spot in Lisbon.

Sítio muito porreiro e que tem um ar mais histórico. Um bom aproveitamento do prédio que já existia. Um problema, a meu ver é que pode ser um espaço que rapidamente se torna pequeno, num dia que vá lá muita gente. Outro problema, é que por ter um "dance floor", faz com que em certas zonas haja muito barulho e não se consiga falar com as pessoas com que estamos.

Primeira experiência só tenho a dizer bem. Dois andares, mas só conheci um andar inteiro, parece uma casa à antiga mas eclética e ficamos à vontade, com bar, sala de música, grandes casas de banho e pátio que é uma graça. Funcionária bar simpática. À meia noite tiveram que dizer que iam fechar, porque ninguém queria sair.

very nice place on the heart of what was once a very problematic area of Lisbon. although it's nice it also represents one of the early signs of gentrification on the city. abandoned places being revamped in low budget trendy kitsch style that later on practice prices above the average oriented to target tourism. the food has good quality and the staff is nice. the ambient is often unfortunately filled with the chatter of bobo and hipsters. nice ethnic concerts happen once in a while. overall a nice place and I would rate 5 stars if they would practice more reasonable prices oriented to the portuguese local target.

Bom local para estar com os amigos, num ambiente descontraído e animado pela afluência de pessoas e espaços independentes. Típico espaço-conceito, em que é o terraço exterior e a liberdade de movimento que me fazem lá ir. A qualidade de serviço e a decoração politizada são os fatores negativos que não fazem deste, um negócio com bom atendimento ao cliente, e muito menos proporciona um espaço despedido de conceitos e tendências socio-políticas.

They have everything in a whole HOUSE:
Bars, 1 dancefloor, 1 Stage, rooftop bar, terrace, chill lounges, even the toilets are well decorated.
But unfortunately there too less toilets in general.

A casa é muito interessante, dividida em três ambientes diferentes: bar ao fundo no primeiro andar, no segundo é uma pista de dança e no terceiro um terraço aberto e outro bar com cocktails!
Uma atmosfera agradável e o atendimento sempre muito profissional.
Ps.: Pena fechar sempre tão cedo durante a semana, e caso você esteja com seu copo, vão te pedir para terminar a bebida pois precisam fechar.

A nice place, we visited it on a quiet weekday so there wasn't any party going on. In the weekends the line outside is huge, so if you want to visit it make sure you go early! The prices were normal and perhaps a little more expensive than the average in Lisbon.

Ninguém dá por este espaço... Está no Largo do intendente, bem no centro do largo, e o sinal que indica o sitio é uma bandeira preta em tiras de plástico. Lá dentro encontra um bar e um terraço completamente inesperados. Tem também uma sala de espectáculos onde vão acontecendo eventos. Vale mesmo a pena uma visita!

The place is an unassuming house in the square which contains several bar counters, a room with music and DJs and a courtyard in the inside. We had no idea this place was one of the epicenter of Lisbon night life but it turned out to be a really good choice.

Lugar perfecto para tomar unas copichuelas y echarte unos bailoteos. Por dentro era una antigua consulta médica de barrio y ahora lo tienen muy modernito y conservan algo de la decoración anterior. Tiene una zona de dj dónde mover el esqueleto con ritmos latinos usually y una terraza muy agradable para charlotear. La única pega que está bastante lleno y cierra sobre las 2, algo pronto.

A big house is converted to a cosy party place. They serve drinks at a reasonable price and they have multiple dance floors. There are limited restrooms for the overall size of this place.
But this is definitely one of the happening places in Lisbon and you should visit this place to enjoy the night life.

My mind was blown. I absolutely loved it. The location was amazing. The Casa Independente is a large house with separate party areas: You can either chill out on the veranda, have a drink on the balcony or go dancing in the club rooms. The prices for the drinks were fine.

Very unique and chill vibe in this establishment. A nice place to just relax and have a nice chat with your mates or strangers. Highly recommend just going there once because it is very artsy.
The only downside are the prices which are on the steeper side of the spectrum.
Go there at least once when you are in Lisbon!

Cool venue to hang out, though it gets quite crowded on the weekends. Drinks are a bit priced but still worth coming here just to enjoy the outside atmosphere. Don't be confused by the family living room next door, it's made to look like someone's house which is a really cool concept

Great place. Good atmosphere in a vibrant upcoming area of Lisbon. Very informal place, with a nice courtyard to hang out, multiple small rooms where you can sit and enjoy your drink (and make a puzzle, of that's your thing!) and a nice saloon with live music. Not on the cheap side, but quality must be paid

So a first trip to Casa Independente last night and I'm certainly intrigued to find out more. The bar is entered through a grand entrance and up some wooden stairs. Rather than a traditional one room bar you are basically entering a grande old flat with all sorts of rooms large and small to explore. We passed a small opening dining room with 10 people having a dinner, there was a large drawing room which had been converted into a small concert space with a high stage and some good looking sound equipment in.
Turning another corner we found the bar and the wonderful terrace which on a warm night in Lisbon was just perfect. I would suggest the drinks were a little overpriced for Lisbon - €7 for a fairly generous measure of Havana Club 7 Anos and €6 for a gin and tonic but at least you can see where the money has gone here. The place is very well decorated and maintained, including the rather confusingly labelled toilets - what are you a cactus or a flamingo??!!
The crowd was pretty young and fairly trendy, definitely a place for bright young Lisbonites and twenty something foreign invaders but as a couple of older gents we didn't feel out of place and the atmosphere was friendly and laid back.
I'll be back there this weekend and I look forward to checking out the music program.

Por el dia es un bar/cafeteria. Tiene una super terraza que si hace bueno, merece la pena tomarse algo alli. Una cerveza media son 3 euros. Un poco caro para lisboa pero el sitio merece la pena aunque sea para tomarse una. Por la noche hay fiesta y te puedes enterar de lo que hay cada noche por la pagina de fb que tienen

Posto bellissimo, ingresso abbastanza anonimo ma appena si sale al primo piano si viene accolti da un'atmosfera classica e rilassata. Ottimo sia per bere qualcosa che per mangiare. Il cibo è ottimo e il personale disponibile, simpatico e cordiale! Fateci un salto perché ne vale soprattutto in orario aperitivo, dopo le 19.

Gostei do ambiente e da decoração mas a proibição de fumar em espaços fechados não é tida em conta pelos responsáveis do bar (à noite, pelo menos) e não me parece que tenha condições de segurança asseguradas para o número de pessoas que tem numa sexta à noite.

Casa Independente is the alternative bar / disco gathering place for foreigners and natives creating a nice chill crowd. The music is like in few places easy to dance, often 80's and in a dark room for intimacy. There is a specialised whiskey bar with plenty of choice, because alternative people don't fancy cocktails. It's easy to park and the subway is 1m away as well as it's located in an old neighborhood in a nice cozy square. The most interesting characteristic must not go forgotten, it is a 2 floor apartment left as it was, with a great backyard with view for a scenic buildings arrangement. As a bonus entrance is free and welcoming!

This is a beautiful location to have a few drinks And some snacks. The decoration os amazing And the mood is great. Sometimes they have concerts in antique rooms which make everything surreal in the perfect way. The only set back are te prices, its slightly expensive especially considering the relation price-food quantitativo. Yes small portions of food. However if you're around make sure to pay a visit.

Um espaço muito agradável. Mas... Fui lá várias vezes e reparei que os funcionários te tratam melhor quando pareces estrangeiro e falas inglês. Fui com os amigos portugueses duas vezes e a mim pareceu que os funcionários não queriam falar connosco, fingiam que estavam ocupados e nem ajudaram encontrar nenhuma cadeira para nos sentarmos. Era surpreendente para mim depois de eu estava lá várias vezes com o outro rapaz estrangeiro.
Mas talvez é só a minha imaginação.
Além disso vou recomendar esse sítio.
