I cannot begin to describe how great this place is. It looks like just another surf rental place on the boardwalk. But no! They are unbelievably professional, knowledgeable and reliable. And extremely well-priced. If you are looking to rent a board, they have everything you can imagine, from foamies to very very high-end equipment. All at more than fair rental prices. And as for the lessons: I have now taken about 10 private 1-on-1 lessons with them over the last year. The lesson packages are extremely affordable for full 2-hour lessons with all equipment included. All of their teachers are real pros. They are very seasoned veterans who work with Marcos and his team year after year. Their English is good. Their love for the place is real. They take their teaching seriously. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. There is a reason that everyone in town knows it is where all the local surf teachers want to work: they treat everyone with respect. Go everywhere on the Carcavelos beach to take a look at what is available. Then go to Angel’s: it is where you want to end up. Then enjoy the waves.

Marcos was simply perfect. He gave us great boards, perfect wetsuits and super useful advices throughout all our journey. Highly recommended!

Geweldige les gehad. Zonder eerdere surf ervaring door goede adviezen binnen het uur staand op een surfbord. Hele sociale leraren die ook onze zoon van 6 een mooie ervaring hebben gegeven.

My girlfriend and me had a very good time at the surfschool! Our instructor was very good in explaining and especially in explaining in English! He was able to motivate us when we had a hard time catching the waves. It was our first time of surfing and I think there will not be that many surfschools which are able to teach you how to surf in such a good way!

Correu tudo lindamente e os miúdos todos, que eram 11, iniciantes de 1a vez, adoraram a semana! A inscrição e comunicação sao simples, têm almoço e lanche organizado, têm segurança e espaço privado com sombra para brincar, os monitores são em bom número e acompanham bem as crianças. Quanto à qualidade do material não posso opinar. Também entretêm bem os miúdos entre as aulas e Qd não há ondas. Também têm contactos de transporte que funciona lindamente. Parabéns e obrigado!

Angel was a fantastic guide for my first time surfing. He was clear, careful, patient, and kind. He was quick to identify issues and to suggest improvements. With this constant feedback, I was able to learn very quickly. I felt safe but appropriately challenged, and I felt like I was given the tools to continue to surf safely and build up my confidence.

Nice little school and rental. The owner is very friendly and a funny guy. Best prices for rentals we found near lisbon, although the quality of the gear is not superb (especially true for the wetsuits, got one with a huge hole at one armpit -> quite a cold shower while paddling).

Very good reception, available. They adapt the lesson to the public. Tiago and Nuno are very good and cool teachers. They also speak french and english. I recommande at 200%!!

Rental actually didn’t happen. Because of the FAIRNESS AND HONEST of the staff - they cld have just given me the equipment but advised that the time for surf was not right. Great attitude!

I had two private lessons with Maxim and I wish I had more! very good instructor, makes the lessons interesting and gives useful exercises on the board. I recommend these guys, they all are very nice and friendly there ‍♀️

I took four teenagers there for surf lessons and it was great; a bit slow getting boards and wetsuits organised, but it was a super busy day. The instructor, Tiago, was excellent; my daughter and her friend had only good things to say about him. I can definitely recommend Angels Surf School, and especially Tiago.

Assisti aos monitores numa aula com crianças na Praia Grande e para além do trato ser pouco adequado não estavam a olhar pelas crianças. Além disso os miudos pediram para fazer aula mas os monitores "estavam a descansar". Fiquei com uma péssima impressão.

This lot are awesome. For my birthday they took 10 of us out for a lesson. Despite the rain and the powerful cross-shore winds we used the walls of the fort to shield us and everyone had a brilliant time. Friendly, good-natured, easy-going, created a great vibe before, during and after the lesson. That said, very professional in the water - kept everyone safe in unfavourable conditions. Not many people can say they were taken for a surf lesson with a man who wakes up at 3am every morning to go squid fishing...

Pedi emprestado um shop ("leash"), visto que me tinha esquecido do meu, e fui respondido muito antipaticamente, quase ofensivamente. Eu que vinha com a melhor das intenções e com uma boa impressão da escola, fiquei desiludido com o atendimento ao público que ficou aquém das expectativas. Acredito que sejam simpaticos com os clientes, mas espero que melhorem a atitude perante quem não o seja. Peço desculpa a todos os bons instrutores afetados por esta avaliação negativa, contudo como o monitor que me atendeu representa a escola, a queixa tem que estar associada à mesma. I had my first ever surfing experience with Nuno. He was a wonderful coach. I went there at sun set and he was kind enough to couch me for some more time even after their closing time. Overall an amazing experience, I wish I could go back. Thank you Nuno :)

I really enjoyed my class with "angels": my teacher had a very different approach to pop up technique that made much more sense than any other techniques I tried in other schools and hopefully will help me to progress significantly in my surfing. Plus, it was a lot of fun and surfing in sunset rainbow was unforgettable
