After many years of teeth problems eg fillings,bridges, ect. ect. I read an advert in the local English papers here in the Algarve Portugal. It gave me a detailed description of a process called 4 in 1, that is , taking all of your teeth out and fixing permanently a new set of teeth made to measure from x-rays & scans of your jaw & mouth ( Guaranteed for 10 years ). I made an appointment to see the Dental Surgeon and after explaining the whole procedure I was totally convinced that he would do an excellent job and after making a date for the procedure he stood up and shook my hand and said '' I will give you a beautiful smile ''. When I arrived at the clinic I was given some tablets to sedate & relax me and after about 15 minutes was taken into the main Dental Room. I don't really remember to much but after about 45 minutes all the teeth were extracted and the inserts for the securing screws were done. My gums needed to relax so I was put into a separate room with a cold mask over my Jaws to help reduce any swelling. By late afternoon my gums had relaxed and I was taken back in for the teeth to be fitted. The final result was fantastic, I was handed a hand mirror for me to see my new teeth, I could not believe what I saw, they were absolutely beautiful. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff for not only giving me a new set of teeth but for making it the most pleasant Dental experience that you could imagine. Professional. Painless. Friendly. Affordable. Initially popped in for a cleaning, they let me know an old filling had cracked and a new cavity formed. Second visit was a calcium treatment and temporary filling. After three weeks the tooth was ready for the perminent filling. Zero discomfort with any visits. The staff were accommodating having me on standby for cancellations (as I was only visiting Albufeira). Definitely having another cleaning here when I'm visiting again.

With an all-on-four procedure in mind finding the right dentist can be a daunting process. Finding one in another country becomes an added issue and worry. Thus, after much research and study we, my wife and I, decided upon Dr. Cris Piessens. All the reviews helped as well. We could not have chosen better. In a word the total experience has been outstanding. From the initial contact with his office, the initial consult, procedure and follow up the experience has been beyond our expectations especially mine. The staff is friendly, professional and competent with language never being an issue as most are multi-lingual. Clinical standards are of the highest quality. Any anxieties I had were quelled as Dr. Piessens explained how the procedure would be done to me and what to expect the day of the procedure. This consult was after x-rays and a CT scan were taken. All concerns are fully discussed putting ones mind at ease. I had the surgery performed for the 1 on 4 full denture in October 2018. Everything was performed as expected and at 5:00pm I left with my new teeth screwed onto four implants. A thoroughly efficient operation with great communication, friendly staff, modern equipment and expert dental practitioners. I had anticipated some pain and a swollen face but I suffered none of that. I am now planning to have the lower set completed next year, need I say anymore. The best money I have spent in years.

Hoewel er een moeilijke verstandskies werd verwijderd, is de behandeling me niet tegengevallen. Ook het ongemak achteraf viel mee. Een mooie en onverwachte verrassing was dat tegelijk mijn overbeet werd gecorrigeerd! Ik ben er nog elke dag blij mee. Knap werk, Dr. Cris! Ik kan iedereen deze behandeling van harte aanbevelen. Just last week I had my final treatment for 4 implants and two crowns all across the front top. At the age of 3 I damaged my first front teeth on a pot sink, then aged about 10 I had an accident on a pushbike and crashed into some railings at the bottom of a steep hill and damaged them again, leaving them discoloured. To be honest I never really looked after my teeth until mid teens by which time it was too late. I had a lot of fillings around this time and then at 21 I had one front tooth knocked out in a karate session. This meant I had to have a plate which was awful. The dentist suggested I had a bridge after about 6 months and this seemed a good idea. The bridge served me well, for a good 30 years but then the supporting teeth began to fail so something had to be done! My dentist suggested dentures as implants would cost a lot and he couldn't do them, not that the dentures would have been cheap. I was really worried about the teeth snapping as it had done with a friend of mine. I looked online about the procedure and although concerned decided to bite the bullet (as they say). My friend recommended Dr.Cris and showed me her teeth so it was a no brainer. Having now got the end product I couldn't believe how beautiful they looked when Cris gave me the mirror and I actually cried. I have never had beautiful teeth, but I have now. I keep smiling and showing everyone my new teeth and for the first time in my life I can have photographs taken without embarrassment. I thank Dr Cris and his team for the very caring and efficient manner shown to me during the whole of my treatment. I am extremely happy with everything and would highly recommend them to anyone. "I had lost most of my teeth .i only had 3 in bottom jaw .and for my upper jaw and part lower jaw I was using a very ill fitting dentures which needed daily usage of fixative 3 times a day .Even then I was not able to eat properly and mostly I only could only eat soft foods . I’m so happy! Today I have done part two for having an implantation. The first one was to have surgery for more jawbone to make it possible to have a new tooth. I have been so scared! I have big problems when dentist put a lot of things in my mouth. Dr Cris Piessens has really taken care of me and done a fantastic work. Both I and my husband use the clinic for regular inspection of our teeth and dental hygienist, they are also amazingly good. ‘The girls’ in the reception are so accommodating and always pleasant. Je reviens du Portugal où je me suis fait faire des implants dentaires complets. J'avais vu le travail effectué sur une amie vivant là bas et celle ci m'a incitée à faire le nécessaire. Ma peur des chirurgiens dentistes me fait fuire ... Après une première visite, Cris Piessens m'a mise en confiance. L'opération en elle même a duré 5 heures . 4 heures le matin où intelligemment Cris met de la musique pour vous faire oublier les bruits des instruments. Travail en douceur ! puis repos pendant 4 heures où son adorable assistante prend soin de vous en étant aux petits soins et enfin pose des implants toujours en douceur ... Visage non enflé .. A peine mal ! Quelle joie quand Cris m'a tendu une glace pour que je regarde le travail effectué !!!! Et je lui dis encore une fois MERCI Cris de m'avoir redonné ma dignité ! Márcia conseguiu salvar o dente que tinha sido mal tratado. I’m currently on holiday in sesmarias and I developed a HUGE abscess on my gum. I called the clinic around 9am and I was seen to at 11am. Instant great, pain free procedure. And very well priced. Would seriously recommend to anyone visiting and in need or anyone that lives here.

Since 2013 I have been considering implants to replace my upper plate which i have had for more years than I care to remember . I had many consultations with my Dentist at Home in Ireland ,the eventual outcome was that my Dentist told me it was impossible to help me due to the lack of bone in my upper jaw. On one of my many visits to our Holiday Home here in the Algarve ,I saw the advertisement about " all on 4 Procedure "which could be completed in one day , I made an appointment to see Dr Cris and his fantastic team ,to discuss my problem and what my own Dentist had said , I had an x ray to determine the extent of loss of my upper bone structure and as to whether or not I could be helped . Dr Cris soon put my mind at ease and said he believed he could help me and after some consultations ,I had my appointment date for the procedure . it was a total success , yes some small discomfort , but very acceptable , I cannot say enough to compliment Dr Cris and his team , they were all so professional and polite . As one whose Achilles heel health-wise has long been my teeth, I know a thing or two about dentists. I should, I've been tormented by many over the years and paid handsomely for my suffering. Up 'til now that is. Because some weeks back I arrived with some trepidation to undergo major implant surgery at the hands of Chris Piessens in Albufeira. I needn't have been concerned. I had guessed from our earlier consultations that this is a man knows what he's about, and in the event I wasn't disappointed. He treated me with an assurance and professionalism which put me totally at ease.Throughout the lengthy procedure I felt relaxed and confident. Discomfort was minimal in relation to the work being done. And the icing on the cake is that now, six weeks after the treatment, I am looking and (more importantly) feeling good. I'm tasting food as I haven't done for years and I'm daily chewing (but tentatively) with greater purpose. I had postponed having this work done, I needn't have. I rate the result of getting my teeth fixed in this way, along with my decision some years back to relocate abroad, as being the best decisions of my life. Amazing experience. I have got an implant done here and the whole experience was just amazing. Staff are extremely experienced and caring. Had a crown come loose on first day of holiday near Albufeira. Hotel recommended Cris Piessens, so called in at 11 a.m. Fantastic reception staff managed to get me an appointment at 1p.m. The excellent dentist removed my crown and re-fitted it within minutes. Overall, very impressed with the professional manner in which I was dealt with. Also very reasonably priced.
