Animado e ruidoso, como é suposto. Boa comida, melhor bebida. Música tradicional com a banda de sempre às sextas e sábados, jam session às segundas, quiz aos domingos (de duas em duas semanas). Convém ir cedo por todas as razões possíveis, incluindo o ser um espaço pequeno.
Desvantagem grave para mim: permite fumar.

A lovely Irish pub. Has rte and tg4 for the GAA. Serves food but don't eat myself while there. Guinness is quite good and has lovely pint of Kilkenny on draft as well.

Típico Pub Irlandés con muy buen ambiente y música (irlandesa) en directo. Cuando entramos estaba todo el mundo cantando una canción típica irlandesa, haciendo los coros a los 2 músicos (un violinista y un guitarrista). Camareros diligentes y muy amables. Nos encantó.

Fantastic range of beers, ciders & spirits but very expensive. Food was terrible as ordered a fish finger burger and got an overcooked deep fried fish patty.
Staff were looking bored but very friendly.
Lots live music on and sport.
Very dark and dingy also.

Le serveur était sympa et agréable. Le cadre est bien mais sa fait quand même bizarre de fumer dans un bar. On se sentirais presque coupable les premières cigarettes. Niveau tarifs ils sont sensiblement les mêmes qu'en France.

Horrible place to watch a football game: the screen is placed too low for people to see it properly, the image is stretched (16:9 fitted to a 4:3 screen) and you'll reek of smoke in minutes - also where you eat the very mediocre food. Oh yeah, the guy in charge of the TV messed up for the first ten minutes and then "saved" the day by finding an Italian channel

Seemed like a nice little pub for watching sport but they allow smoking indoors which is horrible. Especially in a place that serves food... Noticed that only about 10 or so percent of the people were smoking and the rest of the people including the staff had to sit in their smoke for the whole day.

My wife and I are in Lisbon for the weekend and had the best craic here on a Friday evening. Great crowd in, high-spirited but not too rowdy. Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was excellent.
The only negative is that this bar like any we have been in so far in Lisbon allows smoking inside.

Went here initially to watch an English football match (for the husband) and although some could say it was quiet, it was perfect for us as the atmosphere was pretty relaxed (one pull down projector screen). The staff were extremely attentive with drinks and the service was kept friendly. We returned on another occasion and one of the staff members recognised us, which was a nice touch. Didn't have any food here, so can't comment on that. Shame they don't have any outside seating on the sunnier occasions.

I'm not keen on Irish pubs that are not really. 50/50 on this one. Atmosphere was missing something a bit too clinical... nice local beer.. very local verses Irish... positives are its a bit quieter than other pubs if you want to chill and chat.. nice staff too!

Very bad experience, when it’s got midnight and they treat everyone as they are drunk they start to put their own illegal rules ! Like ... they cannot charge one drink with credit card .... it must be 2 drinks at least ! Who said that ?!?! This is illegal... they send you to a broken atm machine then they tell you , you have to order a second drink so we can except your credit card!!!!!
This is stealing ! The owner must go to jail if he knows about it!!
Otherwise the Brazilian managers should !!!
And they rudely insiste !!
Will never go back again!

Excelente lugar para lanchar ,almoçar, jantar, tomar um drink com os amigos ou até mesmo um chá da tarde acompanhado de uma deliciosa sobremesa bem a moda Irish. De quinta a sábado tem música ao vivo à noite, com excelentes bandas. Sou frequentadora assídua.

O'Gilins was a not a good experience. One tv on a screen, The food was dry and kind of tastless. The food was cheap and that's why I'm giving it three stars. I had the chicken sandwich and she had the chicken wrap. We tried Hennesy's after and it was much better. I hate to leave poor reviews, but I don't want people to make the same mistake we did.

Came here on our way back to hotel. We ordered 2 Guinness and was surprised to find it was 13 euros when we have been drinking for around 5 or 6 euros for 2 beers (admittedly those were local beers) however then asked if we could sit at the bar, which had chairs mind you, and totally empty, the bartender said, “it’s not allowed”. Not sure why you will have chairs on the bar if you won’t allow anyone to sit on them. But then other patrons that came in and they were allowed to sit at the bar. Oh well, here for just the night but definitely won’t be coming to this bar if I come back. I recommend going to the British bar which is almost across the street. Way better, better service, allowed to sit at the bar and cheaper drinks.

Great to see a great Irish pub in Lisbon again. Things have slightly changed since my last visit 2 years ago. The pub changed to a Corona Save Place now with da less tables and plexi glass protecting da most valuable in da pub, the beer. Staff wearing protecting gears but the Taste of Guinness remains da same and da Irish Sushi called Fish&Chips was great. The Entertainment was still running on a large screen showing a football match from German Bundesliga. Staff remained nice and helpful despite da Corona restriction. Hopefully Tourism will gear up for many visitors to visit this great traditional Irish pub

We stopped in here for a last couple of beers and some food before we headed back to the airport. The beer choice was good and more importantly the beer was very good. Some of our group ate and reported the food to be good. Service was attentive and efficient but to be fair it wasn't very busy. All in all a very decent Irish pub in Lisbon.

Ótimo local para conversar e beber.
Durante a semana é um lugar calmo e é possível conversar.
Possui uma boa quantidade de bebidas. Se vc é recém chegado em Portugal e está em Lisboa, vale a pena dar uma passadinha por lá.
O lugar ainda conta com hambúrguer delicioso. Todos os pratos acompanham batata fritas e um molho.
Único ponto negativo é a possibilidade de fumar dentro do ambiente. Então se vc é alérgico ou tem problemas com o cheiro do cigarro, fica a dica.

I'd give it 5 stars if people here were more considerate as in other patrons. Some kids came in and took chairs from the table my friends and I had ( they asked HOWEVER they didn't bother waiting for a reply) and they all proceeded to start smoking cigarettes and blowing it towards the table we had.

Muito bom e agradável ótimo lugar para levar os amigos curtir uma boa música irlandesa ao vivo. A comida e boa porém para ficar 5 estrelas para mim deveria ser proibido fumar lá dentro. Isso é super desconfortável para quem não fuma e vai comer alguma coisa, o lugar é apertado então o cheiro de cigarro fica horrível.

My wife and I stumbled into O'Gilin's quite by accident. So glad we did. The bartender is an artiste! Made me the best Bloody Mary ever. Fantastic selections of Irish whiskeys. Great Irish music playing. Lively and cozy.

I usually don't go to Irish pubs other than in Ireland itself, but as I was part of a group, I did. As usual, it was full of Brits (and Irish) but they all had a good time singing and telling jokes. There was also a small band playjng Irish music. The only thing I disliked were the (men's) toilets, everything else was 'top class'.
Not likely to go back as I always prefer to go to local places whereever I am... and mix with the locals...

Nice little pub which shows premier League football. It's a little tourist pub so the prices are higher than the local places. I had 3 little beers and some chips for €14 but I got to watch 2 premier League games at the same time and the service was very good.

Lovely place with relaxed atmosphere. Classic Irish pub with all the necessities! Decor in lieu with the Celtic theme, so absolutely charming. Food was totally amazing and I can honestly say this was the best fish and chips I ever had (just missing the vinegar!) Lol. Also, be warned, the portions are massive! We had to literally roll home after dinner.
Amazing selection of beers, friendly service and clean toilets. Even spacious on local standards which is an extra plus. Live music and performances frequently so if you are a friend of Irish music you should deffinitely go here. Highly recommendable.

This review is just to make sports fans aware that this a plastic paddy bar and far from authentic, especially if you are a GAA fan. Let me set the scene. After a long stressful Saturday in work I am really looking forward to watching our national sport of hurling and a game between Kilkenny and Wexford. I go into the bar and the game is on but I’m told (to my dismay) the France v USA friendly soccer game is on at 8 and that they would be switching over when kick off started.
Apparently, it was advertised and once it is advertised then it can’t be changed. Especially with all the French and USA fans in Lisbon just dying to see this match. I spoke with the bar manager (a Lee Camp lookalike) who explained it is a football first bar. I got the impression even though he claimed he was Irish that he wouldn’t know a sloithar from a lemon.
Now if it is a world cup match I can’t really complain but how on earth can you call yourself an Irish bar when you advertise (and put on) a France v USA friendly match over a game of your national sport?

I live in Lisbon, I WAS a loyal customer but will never step in the door of either Hennessey’s or O´Gilins again (I believe its owned by the same man). It takes more than blasting out Irish tunes to call yourself an Irish bar….

O pub mais irlandês de Lisboa, diria eu. Super apertado, mas acho que faz parte da mística e ambiente. Tem as boas cervejas que estamos à espera como Kilkenny e Guinness, mas também Franziskaner e agora também artesanais, como é o caso da 8ª Colina. Podemos esperar encontrar muitos estrangeiros, inclusive os bartenders e bola na TV.

Horrible! I went there to watch an FA cup semifinal. Place is a stinky smoke-filled rat hole. And forget it as sports bar as drunken screaming table-dancing crowd is too much of a disturbance.

Very good place. We made a mistake by choosing a good wrap because we thought it was 3euros. But we didn't suprised to pay it finally for 8€, the wrap deserved it. It was very tasty. Just a bad point, people smoke inside. But in Lisbon, people smoke inside and that's very bad.

Nice and friendly staff, great menu and great location, BUT... I don't know how and why people are allowed to smoke INSIDE this pub. I would've walked away as soon as I saw the ashtrays on the tables, but we were going for dinner and my two friends wanted to stay there, so I stayed. The food was ok, but having to eat surrounded by smokers was an experience that I will never repeat, no matter what.

Super gezellige pub. Heerlijke gerechtjes voor bij de borrel. We waren hier op city trip met vriendinnen en hebben een heerlijke ongedwongen avond gehad. Er was zelfs een pubquiz. De bediening is super vriendelijk. Betaalbare prijzen voor avond uit.

Guinness is as good as in Ireland, the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat anything but the food looked fantastic coming out of the kitchen, well worth a visit.

O atendimento era... sofrível. A colaboradora mal percebia português e este pub auto denomina-se o primeiro pub de Lisboa... acho que já tiveram tempo de aprender a língua local... Ambiente típico de um pub, música tradicional irlandesa de fundo. Bom para ver jogos de "soccer".

Ps: Para quem não fuma pode ser ruim, eu por exemplo não gosto, mas estava lá pela gastronomia e bebida não por ar condicionado.

Es war ein schöner abend, die kellnerin ebenso aufmerksam, wie freundlich und gut aussehend. Die musik war klasse, das ambiente war toll, die stimmung ausgelassen.zu jedem bier gibt es was kleines zu essen, und das ist der knackpunkt: das guinness kostet 5,50€ á 0,4 liter, was für die hiesigen verhältnisse schon seher teuer ist, der preis gilt übrigens nach 22 uhr davor ist es unwesentlich günstiger...

Live sessions every Friday and Saturday night. Guinness, good music, great atmosphere. Competent and friendly staff. Didn't order meals there, but there's no reason to assume it would be anything but well-made. Had a wonderful time there, even made us skip further plans for the night.
