By far one of the most unique places in the city. You will walk right by it if you are not paying enough attention. The owner is very gracious and kind. Had several great cocktails and liquors sitting there for a couple hours. We were late arriving on a Thursday, so not sure how busy it would get on a weekend evening.

First free night we had, we came across such a tiny bar. We walked by few times and full, it peaked our interest. Once inside it's like being in another world. WOW! We are cocktail ' geeks ' from NYC. And we go to the usual places. Ulysses from the owner to the atmosphere and most important the EXPERIENCE is best one comes across. We had different ' classics ' with great care and attention taken in precise way. ULYSSES a huge thank you and we will come again.

In Lisbon during Websummit this week and one of the hilites is Ulysses. The most unique place we have ever encountered. Small but eclectic! Rare and the most incredible place to meet new friends. The drinks we all had input in, customized for your mood and tastes., OUT OF THIS WORLD. Now if you just want a generic drink, many other places. This is a spot that is not for everyone, but those that dare to be adventurous and try an Experience and not just a drink. This is it. Smallest bar I've ever been to (only 10 stools, barely room to stand, no washroom), but man did they have good cocktails and it was so interesting getting to know everyone else sitting next to me. Very unique spot on an alley that's too narrow for cars. Alcohol selection is top drawer and the bartenders are just as interesting as the environment and its patrons

Unique in every way. It's hard to put in words how cool it was to discover and experience a concept for a bar where things that feel odd at first (small space, for one) become something that leave you permanently changed and you start to wish that you could go back again and again and again. The cocktails have their own unique spin to them (which you'll have a say in) and are well worth their price!! Inspiring!

He does not. He misremembers who it was that was taking pictures. It was not I nor any in my party. I called the experience overwrought. You need only read his response to see just how right I was. **Original Review** Decent cocktails, very small quantities for most drinks, overhyped and overwrought presentation. There are just as high quality cocktails for half the price just down the road.

This is literally a 10 square meters bar that fits few hundred bottles and 8 people for an intimate expierence. Owner and the bartender knows everything about his spirits and can offer you a drink from variety of classic or custom made cocktails.

What a fun speak easy! It seats about 8 people and it becomes such an intimate experience with whoever is in the bar and the owner. What an impressive collection and wealth of knowledge he has about the world, his spirits and Lisbon! If you’re in the mood for “just one drink” or “a night cap” or “something interesting” go here! Don’t be pretentious about it and have him make you something you’d normally never order- it’ll be worth it!

Finally a place in Lisbon for a fine drink! Coming from London where we have some great cocktail bars. And coming to Lisbon every other month on business, the city always fell short on quality drinks. Until now! I have gone to Ulysses with my business colleagues on number of occasions and never once disappointed. Whether it be wine, beer or classic cocktails. It's all there. On our honeymoon, and so glad we went on the google reviews . Thank you Ulysses Lisbon for 3 wonderful evenings for us. My husband loved the various Old Fashioned cocktails with the different bourbon choices. I enjoyed the Negroni ( a few too many hehehe ), the very best I had in Europe to date. And the craft beer selection was stunning. We made sure to comment on untapped too. A must for quality drinks and best cocktails made in all of Europe Thank you!

Ulysses was the Hilite in Lisbon. For the whole week we went to some of the so called top rated cocktail bars in Lisbon, and we were disappointed. UNTIL we found the cutest of bars, Ulysses not only was best place for cocktails in that wonderful city but one of the very top ones globally. Here back home in NYC we go regularly to some of our favorite of critical acclaim, my friend she lives in London and we go to some of the ones in the SOHO , and ULYSSES ranks up there with them . At a much less price. For 12 euros we had a Boulevardier with Michter and my friend had it with the Weller and all 4 of us enjoyed some great classics we all enjoy . We pay 40 in New York for some of them! Great value, amazing. The prices were exceptional for such great quality and all in front of us to see on the chalkboard, no surprises. Our last night we spent our last 4 hours enjoying wonderful wine, incredible IPA's , and even espresso from coffee from tiny Island and rare, but the cocktails were great! Service exceptional and most comfortable of places to spend a relaxing evening and meeting new people from around the world. We went back 4 times and recommend ULYSSES with the strongest recommendation we can offer. Thank you for the hilite of our trip for us 4 girls! We stopped searching for great drinks once we stopped by :) and the stories told and make sure to ask were to eat and what to see, the bartender will give you advice not found in tourist books. And hint, if the gate is closed and curtains drawn, pull the chain and the bell will ring and door open ;) the doors are closed after 10pm to ensure the full experience of this Speakeasy.

Best cocktails and drinks in all of Portugal if not Europe. Amazing and stunning and with 6 of us there and 4 more guests , soo much attention to each drink for all of us! We had couple Old fashioned and wow all the Bourbon, coming from back home and traveling in Europe, and to see from back home Pappy. Wow! Spent 2 hours and meeting new friends :)

Superoverpriced tiny place. Owner was knowledgeable but slow, repeating and repeating he had the best of the best of the best (there were a large selection of spirits so, it was said alot ), drinks took ages and had to wait on the most uncomfortable chairs. I work in the same industry and cannot understand the reason of this type of business, sometimes is better to keep it classic, a bar should be a place to socialise.
