Hired from Sixt and was pleased with the speedy process. I had the documents explained to me in English and all went well with the car, the deposit and its return. I I always check and agree the state of the car at the time of collection and most hire companies are happy to do this.

We rented a car online from Goldcar only to be fleeced by them for a nearly €4000 deposit or pay them an additional €189. We ended paying the extra because we didn't trust them with a deposit that size.

Gold car we used again for the second time and they where great again just go for the full insurance with them it's a little more money but piece of mind when you drop off the car no checks give them the car key and off you go there is a ticket system when you get to there office so make sure you get one when queuing

Car hire was fine, however, be careful with scratches and marks already on the car. Make sure you take your own photos as soon as possible to avoid them trying to charge you. We picked up the car in the dark, but the next morning we took photos of the cars and makes so they're date stamped asap as they tried to say some scratches on the bumper was our fault when it wasn't. Also, make sure you take the car back to the correct carpark otherwise they'll make you pay.

Really bad service they were swearing at us and weren’t answering our questions. Don’t recommend may seem cheap but it’s not then they talk about you and swear at you. The service is really slow and they made us pay the after hours which is past 8pm when we were before 8pm so don’t recommend wouldn’t go there again and waste my money.For the million car hires.

Goldcar car hire at Faro airport are very friendly, helpful and I would definitely recommend them. The access to the car hire area from the terminal is very easy too.

Having already booked insurance via Jet2 they were trying to insist on selling us theirs as Well, they also did not provide the specific cars we ordered and gave us a Yaris for 5 people, other customers just walked out and went elsewhere ours was Avid/ Budget pretty poor, take photos before and after to prove you did no damage.

We have been ripped off by many car hire companies. Over the last 15 years we have used many different companies but we have gone back to one we have used many times before it's now called (zest) it used to be called (Econamy) no problems the car was fairly new and we were charged a fair rate £83 for 10 days.

Europcar. Conning bar stewards. Paid in full from the Easyjet website only to be told on arrival that because I had used a US website, since when has Easyjet been a US company, that I would need to pay an extra 15 Euros a day or I can't take the car. It's a racket, use someone else.

Personeel was redelijk maar de manager een verschrikking, zet je onder druk om te betalen, terwijl hijzelf ook heel goed kon begrijpen, dat dit onterecht was. Sunnycars heeft het geld teruggestort gelukkig. Hoop er nooit meer te komen

Disgraceful service. Paperwork that we received didn't have half of the necessary requirements on it. On arrival, even though we had prepaid rental and platinum insurance, we were asked for a physical €2400 deposit or we could not have the car... Needless to say we got a taxi... Staff were unhelpful and confrontational offering only one option which was even more expensive..

Wanted to warn other travelers. I have never had a bad experience with car hires / rental cars anywhere in the world: South Africa, India, USA, Spain, etc. We rented a car here in Faro from Guerin (Alamo, Enterprise, National). They quickly inspected the car along with me. We noticed bumps and bruises but they said they were small enough and not to worry. We drove to our hotel for the day and back. Upon coming back, the employee opened the passenger door and noticed a light scratch on the inside edge of the door. I obviously disputed and he claimed it was new. No way I would’ve thought to review interior edges of doors on the initial inspection. Clearly a money grab. I will dispute the charges and keep everyone updated, but what a headache and dirty practice. I saw on other reviews that Guerin (Enterprise, Alamo, and National) do not return deposits or add more charges later as well. Please be careful and avoid this if possible. I saw reviews on several other local rent-a-cars that will avoid you the distress on your vacation and calls to insurance companies after to help dispute. What a mess.

Booked online and they don't tell you clearly about the additional charges. Sneaky but fortunately had enough spare on the credit card. I didn't book under my name!!! All the car hire companies at Faro airport will charge a lot on top for the cover, you get it back but it's a cost you didn't expect. Get excess insurance cover before you leave (40 quid most websites) and then you wont have to pay any big damage deposits at any car hire companies

Booked through DoYouSpain (Portugal). Car provided was a high mileage wreck. Complained to DYS who tried to double the price to change supplier. These guys at Faro airport sorted it with a much newer, but smaller car. If the car had been the right size this would be 5 star.

Second time we have used this car hire. It's convienant as it's in the airport but both times it has been a long haul at the counter even though we had booked and paid in the UK and arrive with all our paperwork to hand. They are very forceful in pushing extras on you and be prepared for a very hard sell and a considerable wait as both times our car was not as we selected and hired and we had to accept a alternative and wait around 45 minutes for it to be ready. All this with cases, bags, and children in the heat.

It's not as easy as other European airports. When we arrived all the car hire companies reception closed. You need to go outside the airport building to find reception desk moreover A member of staff tried hard to sell additional car insurance which felt unpleasant. The car we have been allocated has got seat belt error so had to return airport car hire swap another car.

Told in UK that they accept debit cards. THEY DO NOT !!!! YOU MUST HAVE A CREDIT CARD. I advise book direct. Do not go through a UK broker. Credit card must have raised digits. Why,?????? No idea

The staff are nice and doing the best they can under the circumstances but it took 40 minutes to pick up my car on arrival. Waiting around for 30 minutes for someone to check the car when returning it. Service is slow so allow yourself extra time.

Estafadores, piden un depósito desproporcionado, solo se puede pagar con tarjeta de crédito, NO Amex. Todo esto en su página al momento de la reserva no está explicado. Servicio de atención al cliente escaso, no prestan ayuda, no tienen información, etc. Todo vago. Hasta en la P4 de Faro, donde se supone que hay que recoger el coche, no saben de la existencia de esta compañía.

Voiture réservée en ligne pour location 1 semaine. 68e payé par CB e ligne. Jusque là tout va bien... mais une fois arrivés sur place pour récupérer la voiture, on nous demande notre CB (pour la caution). Notre CB Visa Premier a été refusée ! En effet ils ne veulent que des cartes de credit et non pas débit. N'importe quoi !!! La CB 1er offrant un plafond assez élevé pour ce genre de paiement/caution et en plus nous couvrant déjà pour la loc de voiture grâce au réseau Visa ! Des voleurs !!! Ils obligent donc à prendre leur assurance facturée 16€ par jour soit au total plus cher que la location de la voiture elle même... pffff ! En clair cette histoire de CB de crédit (qui n'est autre qu'une carte rattachée à une réserve d'argent/crédit ) est une excuse pour obliger un max les gens à prendre leur assurance sinon pas de voiture !! Alors faites bien attention à ce que la mentio. " débit" ne soit pas indiquée sur votre CB.... De plus nous avions loué un siège auto pour notre fille, que l'on a été obligé de faire changer ! Il était dans un tel état !!! Énorme trou dans la housse de brûlé, des taches partout, et le summum les sangles d attache le plastique était pourri avec des taches de moisissure. Bref HONTEUX ! de quoi commencer ses vacances bien énervés ....

Air car rental sont des voleurs, ils nous facturé 187 € pour une micro rayure sur le pare brise, à priori ils ont d'autres pratiques encore pires.
