Oh.. after 40 minute waiting in the queue in the restaurant I got soup which wasn't tasty and pasta which was the same, bad experience, people who were serving the meal were nice but the work weren't distributed effective, this place has potential but it's so uneffective, what a shame and wasting my time instead of enjoying the place.

We were in the Castle of Pena Restaurant (there is a cafeteria also). We waited 40 minutes in a line just to eat low quality food, so we did not enjoy the visit. The personell is so slow that one third of the restaurant is empty in this crammed tourist destination. There are elementary faults such as that the customer does not know what the soup is and the meal of the day although he has 40 min in the line or that the personell works in a row which slows down to the slowest link. There is no sign to tell you the meal of the day. The food was sour and we only ate it because we were hungry. The restaurant only generates the profit thanks to the fact that the tourists change all the time because of the Palace otherwise nobody would come back. A change of the manager is absolutely necessary.

Worst service! Worst tourist trap! Worst coffee and worst food! But the garden is lovely to bring your lunch ;)

Es handelt sich hier um eine Cafeteria und ein "Restaurant". Wir waren im Restaurant, draußen ein Menü, wo jedoch keine Speisen aufgelistet waren, die es wirklich im Restaurant gab. Das Restaurant entpuppte sich als eine Kantine. Alle Speisen hatten keine Preise, also Überraschung.. Wir haben uns für einen Auflauf entscheiden, der einfach schrecklich war. Völlig ungewürzt, stark fischiger Geschmack und die "Soße" hat wie pure Sahne geschmeckt. Für den Spaß haben wir 8,5€ pro Portion bezahlt. Angerichtet wurde der Auflauf auch nicht.

Restaurant ist eine Kantine. Leider stimmt die Speisekarte überhaupt nicht mit dem tatsächlichem Angebot überein. Es gab warme Speisen, bei denen es keine Preise gab. Diese haben wir erst an der Kasse erfahren. Für 2x Kabeljau mit Spinat und Kartoffeln (geschmacklich... okay...) 17€, Getränke 2€, dessert 4€. Dafür, dass keine Preise dran standen, immerhin nicht gnadenlos abgezockt. Eine richtige Speisekarte wäre trotzdem schöner gewesen. Atmosphäre eher wie Kantine als Restaurant.
