Ann McAllister: After traveling the world for over 30 years, this is by far my top five places I’ve visited. First of all, the management and staff are not only friendly but extremely responsive, efficient, flexible and accommodating to any need. We were treated like royalty and the riding instruction was top notch. The horses are in perfect health, happy and well-cared for. The horses were well trained and incredibly patient with their riders. The resort is brilliantly designed—complementing and enhancing the beauty of the historic structures and the natural, geographic surroundings. This place is like walking into the pages of Architectural Digest. We had a trail ride and at least one dressage training lesson a day. I’m active so I liked to run on their trails and practice my yoga on the pool deck. We also had access to a canoe on the small lake situated in the brood mare pasture. All the horses were gentle, friendly and loved being around us. The food was buffet style—fresh salad, charcuterie, freshly baked breads, a variety of local Portuguese meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Wine, coffees and teas. There’s a beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor lounge area for after riding and relaxation. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with snacks, wine, spirits and beer. The hot tub and pool look out to a panoramic view of the hills and cork trees. I’m definitely coming back to this amazing place. The natural surroundings, premium service, food, exquisite horses and warm climate are the right combination for rejuvenating the human spirit.

Estou muito insatisfeito com o serviço deles. Eu tinha pedido especificamente que certas coisas fossem feitas com relação ao seu serviço e não só não foram feitas em tempo hábil, como não seguiram todo o caminho. A comunicação com eles não é satisfatória, pois leva dias para obter uma resposta, o que nem sequer dá resposta às perguntas que fiz. E quando solicitei que eles atendessem o meu pedido original (que eu paguei) ou me reembolsassem, fui simplesmente ignorado, sem comunicação. Um simples e-mail teria sido suficiente e profissional. Dito isto, recomendo que as pessoas procurem em outro lugar, a menos que você queira lidar com contadores não profissionais e não comunicativos.

Eu só vou ao Home Depot porque é uma viagem mais curta. Eu acho que eles alegam que têm descontos militares, mas não listam as categorias às quais os descontos se aplicam. Eu pedi uma lista de todas as categorias que honram os descontos sem sorte. Eu vou dirigir 20 milhas para Lowes porque eles realmente têm 10% de desconto militar em todos os itens. Um dos funcionários disse-me para ir ao site do Home Depot e ver tudo o que eles fazem para os veteranos. Isso não ajuda o veterano diário com seus projetos.
